DVDSP 4.1.2 - Not building correctly...

I have two issues now with DVDSP (one an old issue) the other new. Both are proving to be quite irritating now.
1. This is a new issue that has cropped up. I currently have a project that, when you hit the "play" button, first plays a brief intro, jumps to a logo animation, then goes on to the main video. It simulates perfectly. When I "Build" the project, hitting the play button results in a jump directly to the main video skipping the intro pieces. I've deleted the entire folder where I output the VTS files and tried to re-build to project to no avail. So, what's going on with this? Any ideas why the intro pieces won't "Build" when it works in the simulator fine?
2. Old, ongoing issue - Refreshing assets. I know this has been written about before but I still have issues getting assets to properly refresh - even after deleting the PAR folder. Wrong media still plays which usually results in my re-creating substantial portions of my project - deleting a menu item, the tracks then the asset; then rebuilding that portion of the project from the beginning (importing the asset, re-create the menu and add the track (this problem usually happens with the video/audio exports from FCP).
Thanks for the help

For the first issue, make sure that your end jumps are correctly set each time - use the connections tab to be sure... but remember that it might be connected to your second issue.
With the second issue, deleting the PAR files usually works, and for the most part simply changing the asset is alright, too. However, to be sure it works, when you import a replacement asset add a digit to the end and increment it each time so that there is a unique name every time. Then, when you get to build, do not 'reuse' an existing Video_TS file (which is the connection to the first issue).

  • Satellite C50 - Secure Boot not configured correctly Build 9600

    Hi,
Recently purchased a refurbished Toshiba Satellite C50 running windows 8.1 operating system. Was very pleased with it but found the message 'SecureBoot not configured correctly Build 9600' in a watermark in the bottom right corner of my desktop.
Decided to search the internet for a resolution and after going on 3 troubleshooting sites, found out about the BIOS Setup required, however it warned that this was for advanced users who know their stuff about the technicalities of computers. Whilst I am computer literate, I'm not someone who likes to mess with the advanced options. Then, I stumbled across a reliable computer blog which had a detailed post on SecureBoot.
( Link to blog and specfic post:
    www.techrepublic.com/blog/windows-and-office/deal-with-the-secureboot-isnt-configured-correctly-watermark-in-windows-81/ )
I thought this would resolve my issue, and I will admit it did help, telling me to use windows powershell as a precaution before using the BIOS setup. I was glad I did as it came back telling me that I have a non-production SecureBoot policy present on my laptop in which case I would have to ask for technical support for a system specific solution which would typically be a firmware update.
I did try to phone, but the line was very busy and felt it might be easier to post this issue on a forum.
If anyone has an answer please help as I really would like to enable SecureBoot if possible, as I believe computers should be set up with the best security options possible and it makes me feel comfortable knowing that it is set up securely.

Someone commented the blog and posted this solution:
The registry fix to remove the watermark is as follows.
    1. Start the Registry Editor with Admin rights (C:\Windows\regedit)
    2. Navigate to the following path
    -> HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Policies \ System.
    3. There, the two values " ConsentPromptBehaviorAdmin "and" EnableLUA "set to" 0 ".
You can also try to enable the secure boot option in BIOS (in case its not already enabled)
To get into the BIOS, press F2 while powering ON the unit.
Additionally recommend checking this Microsoft page:

It seem all the date field can not be control in the report, and control by somthing else
Doese anyone come accross this problem?
    Thanks

    Hi Rong,
Are you using the following demonstration to build your JSP?
    http://otn.oracle.com/products/reports/htdocs/getstart/demonstrations/index.html
(Output to Excel with Oracle9i Report)
I tried to do the same, and inserted a database date field in the JSP using Reports. I found the following:
While making the template inside Excel, if I make sure that the format of the date cells is "Date" - some particular date format, the date field values from Reports does not get exported correctly.
However, if you make sure that inside the template, the format of the date cells is not date, but "General", then the date field values are correctly exported to Excel.
Pl try it and let us know.

  • Service 'Apple Mobile Device' (Apple Mobile Device) failed to start.  Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services. and 'iTunes was not installed correctly. Please reinstall iTunes. Error 7 (Windows error 193)

    Hi!
So i think i closed the wrong service at some point a few weeks back (apple mobile device) but iTunes remained working after that for another week. I then updated iTunes and i get the same  "Service ‘Apple Mobile Device’ (Apple Mobile Device) failed to start.  Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services." every time. If i click ignore, just so i can access iTunes with out syncing my iPod (touch 2nd gen) i then get 'iTunes was not installed correctly. Please re-install iTunes. Error 7 (Windows error 193)" when it has all installed. I don't understand what the problem is anymore as I have looked at other questions on the apple website, carried out the advice and it hasn't work. Any of them.
    Tings I have done:
    - Wiped all iTunes and Apple data from my computer (if you search for 'iTunes' or 'Apple' nothing comes up apart from applets from system code.
    - Attached iPod before iTunes install and updated drivers.
    - Installed iTunes as 'Run as administrator'
    - Uninstalled and re-installed the software nearly 20 times now and rebooted the computer in between everytime.
Please someone help because i really need to get music on my ipod and i enjoy the ease of use of iTunes compared to spotify or Windows Media Player.

For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
The further information area has direct links to the current and recent builds in case you have problems downloading, need to revert to an older version or want to try the iTunes for Windows (64-bit - for older video cards) release as a workaround for performance issues or compatibility with QuickTime or third party software.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there are also links to backup and recovery advice should it be needed.
Regarding AMDS failures there is a hint in another thread that disabling the Windows Firewall before attempting to reinstall may help, otherwise take a look at the steps outlined in this post. Re: Can't install iTunes 12.1 on Windows 7 64-bit. I know they look a little daunting, but the process of generating the logs themselves isn't that hard to do. Extracting useful information from them is still a challenge but maybe something will leap out. If you want to post the log for the failed components for me to have a look at here or in the other thread please edit out any personal information, particularly your email address, first.

  • Themes like Topaz are not working correctly using IE7 or IE8?

We are in the middle of an upgrade from APEX 3.1.2 to 4.0.2 and with this upgrade we also want to change the themes the apllications are using. In this case we are switching from 'Sand' to 'Topaz', but we encounter a problem with Standard Reports Regions. If you have a column with a setting 'Display as Text (based on LOV, does not save state) and the column has no value (null), the table cell is not drawn correctly on the screen. The cell borders (top and bottom) are not drawn, resulting in interrupted lines on the table rows. The same problem occurs if you have a column that contains a link, but the column value is empty.
When we use another browser (e.g. Google Chrome) the reports region is displayed correctly. However the standard browsers at our company are IE7 and IE8.
Sort of a workaround is to display a null value as   or - , but for columns that contain links, that is a problem, because it will result in a clickable link on an 'empty' column value.
We tried other themes like Modern Blue, Simple Red, Builder Blue, Sunrise, etc. but they all have the same problem. Is there a workaround for this problem, because we reallty want to use the new Themes and using another browser is no option?
For an example, check problems in MGR and DEPT columns:

Appears to be due to empty-cellsIE's lack of/buggy support for the <tt>empty-cells</tt> property used in the report CSS.
I think you'll have to work round this by including some content in the cells using <tt>nvl</tt> etc in the query or the report Show Null Values as property. To avoid the problem you mentioned relating to clickable "empty" links, try using the zero-width space character entity<tt>&amp;#8203;</tt> zero-width space character entity for this content. It should be effectively invisible.

Here is the crux of all your problems:
    <!-- Fireworks 4.0 Dreamweaver 4.0 target.
You built the site in Fireworks, and a very old version at
    that, and then
imported the site into DW. Graphics apps like Fireworks and

    you want a

    You really should

  • ARIAL FONT IN REPORTS(WINDOWS), NOT SHOWN CORRECTLY UNDER LINUX

Our Reports are developed under Windows (Report Builder 9.0.4.0.33 and Windows 2000/Windows XP) and generated under Linux (IAS 10.1.2.0.2 with Red Hat Advanced Server). The Report Output is a PDF, that will be downloaded by the user with WEB.SHOW_DOCUMENT. This works fine, but fonts are not shown correctly in the PDF, especially ARIAL, which is the font we use.
I have run the Fontsolution Configuration Script from Metalink, but we still have a problem.
When you look at the font.pdf, wich is the testreport from fontsolutions, some sizes and styles of Arial are printed correctly others not.
Arial 8 is ok, but Arial 10 and Arial 12 are something like Times New Roman.
Arial 12 Bolded is correct, but Arial 12 italic and Arial 12 bold italic are also not
    the Arial Font.
How can we correct this problem?

    # are equivalent, and either one will map any Arial that has both Italic
    # and Overstrike styles to a 12-point, bold, italic Helvetica font.
    # All strings are case-insensitive in mapping. Font faces are likely to
    # be case-sensitive on lookup, depending on the platform and surface, so
    # care should be taken with names used on the right-hand side; but they
    # will be mapped case-insensitively.
    # See your platform documentation for a list of all supported character
    # sets, and available fonts.
    # BUGS:
    # o Should accept a RHS ratio (e.g., "Helv = Arial.2/3").

    # NOTES ON PRECEDENCE OF PDF SECTIONS:
    # If you have entries for a same font in many PDF sections, then Font
    # Aliasing entry will take precedence over Font Embedding entry. Entries
    # in Font Embedding will take precedence over the entries in Font Subsetting
    # section.
    # Generic entries for a font must follow more specific entries for the same
    # font. For instance, if you want to subset helvetica Plain, helvetica Bold,
    # helvetica Italic and helvetica Bold-Italic fonts, your entries must be:
    # [ PDF:Subset ]
    # helvetica..Italic.Bold.. = "Arialbi.ttf"
    # helvetica...Bold.. = "Arialb.ttf"
    # helvetica..Italic... = "Ariali.ttf"
    # helvetica..... = "Arial.ttf"
    # If helvetica..... entry appears in the top of the list, all the styles of
    # helvetica font in the layout will be subset as helvetica Plain font.
    uiprint.txt
    # This is the printer configuration file.
    # The format for entries in this file is:
    # <OSName>:<Type>:<Version>:<Long Name>:<Description File>:
    # The first field is the name of the printer. It is the name you give
    # to lpq.
    # The second field is the type of driver to be used for the printer.
    # Currently, "PostScript" and "ASCII" are the only types of driver for
    # printers supported for now. But in future we may be supporting
    # drivers for other printer types.
    # The third field is the version of the type of printer driver. It's 1
    # or 2 for all PostScript printers; or 1 for ASCII printers.
    # The fourth field is a long description of the printer. This will be
    # presented to the user in the "Choose Printer" dialog window.
    # The fifth field is the printer description file to be used. For
    # PostScript printers it is the PPD file of the printer. (This field is
    # currently unused for ASCII printers.)
    # You can use default.ppd for the description file if you don't have a
    # PPD file for the printer, but it's best to use the correct PPD file
    # for the printer.
    # You must fill in at least the first two fields (printer name and
    # type). If the version is empty, it defaults to "1"; if the long name
    # or description are empty, they will default to empty strings. A
    # version of 1 or an empty long name is fine, but, for PostScript
    # printers, you must fill in the description file name.
    # You don't have to update this file to use any printer. The printer
    # chooser interface let's you select a printer and driver at run time,
    # as well as associate a printer description file to the printer. You
    # should list all printers accessible to users here, however, to
    # simplify selecting a printer.
    # The first entry in this file will be used as the default printer, if
    # no printer was selected in the operating system. (For Unix, the
    # following environment variables will be used in turn to get the
    # default printer's name:
    # TK2_PRINTER
    # ORACLE_PRINTER
    # PRINTER
    # For other platforms, see the Installation and User's Guide for your OS
    # for information on setting the default printer.)
    # WARNING: Do not define multiple entries for the same printer by the
    # same name. Selecting a printer with multiple entries will always result
    # in the first entry being selected. Instead, see if your OS allows you
    # to create an alias for the printer, and use an alias for the second type.

If you want to make platform independent use of fonts, you have to use the family, such as sans serif.
Arial is owned by monotype (http://monotype.com/). You have to contact them if you wish to redistribute it with your application. They also might have a suitable version that renders nicely under linux.

  • Panorama not working correctly

I have created about 20 panoramas and six of them did not display correctly. I am shooting in camera RAW and downloading dng files t
o my computer. the panoramas created are between three and seven images. Here is the problem:
The process seems to work correctly every time except when the final image is displayed on the monitor. The image displayed is trunc
ated to another line (just like text-wraping in Microsoft Word when you get to the end of a line). The panorama then continues on th
e next line/layer until you get to the end of the panorama. Sometimes it even goes to a third line/layer.
I have tried to expand the canvas but this does not seen to help. Why is this happening and how can I avoid this in the future? Ovbi
    ously I am missing something.
The computer is new. I took the series of images a week ago and did three panoramas of three and four images. The panorama that did
not display too good has seven images in it. All images are from my shoot of last week. There have been no software changes since th
e initial software load about six weeks ago.
My last problem was on a previous computer, but ironically the problem occured at about the same way. That is to say I had taken sev
eral panorama series in a photo shoot. downloaded all the images (using bridge) at the same time. I then did two panoramas of four a
nd six images. Both turned out just fine, but when I tried the third panorama the resulting panorama did not display properly. I got
    the same image-rapping display problem.
In both instances (on the old computer and on the new computer, once a panorama displays incorrectly redoing the panorama does not r
ectify the problem. The only other thing I can think to tell you is when the panorama displays incorrectly it is always a narrow dis
play (as if the image was being displayed in portrait mode instead of in landscape mode.
By the way. when I switched computers. I did uninstall my version of CS4 on the old computer and then installed it on the new comput
er. In both instances I have installed the adobe updates as they have become available.
    I have Windows 7 and Photoshop CS4

i don't think that i get all problem, but i use photmerge often. my advice is try to merge step by step images not all at once, sometimes it helps (i build once from 12 - 6x2 pieces, all at one result was very bad so i put them by pairs and then together - much more better result).
and u can try to play with photomerge option Layout. try to use not Auto, thats help sometimes too. don't know acctually why there is many mathematic and on one data with diferent preference it can give out diferent result.

  • Substitution rule is not working correctly

    Hi PS Gurus,
We have a problem in one of the newly created projects that the substitution rule is not working correctly; the data is not copied to the WBS element Cust. Enhancement tab.
Project 1 is working fine and the data is copied & Project 2 and Project 3 are not getting all the data copied to the WBS element,
In that project profile (substitution rule is given), substitution rule is also maintained
So please help why in one project substitution rule in working & other isnu2019t.
    Many Thanks in Advance.

    Hello Menaka,
Select the WBS element in the project builder.
Cleck on Edit --> Validation Substitution --> Substitution
You will get the list of Substituitions, Double click on the required Substition rule. This action will generate a log, whether substitution has been succesfully caried out or with some error.
Kindly provide us that error log to guide you further.

  • Thai characters not displaying correctly within App

    Hi everyone,
I have a Adobe Flex Mobile app displays Thai text, however this is not displaying correctly. While developing the App on my Windows machine and testing using the Adobe Flash Builder mobile emulator, the font/characters look correct.
However when running the app on either the MAC Adobe Flash Builder emulator, the iPhone simulator or on an actual iPhone, the font/characters are incorrect.
First I thought that it was maybe an encoding issue (I am using locale properties files to replace text), so followed instructions at this website Flash Builder, Flex language bundles showing strange symbols. Not utf8 encoded.Sefol however this did not solve the issue.
Looking more closely at the text rendered, it looks as though all of the characters for each word are actually being rendered, but they are just being rendered in correctly. Where as if it was a encoding issue then it would be missing characters completely.
So if you look at the first character, in the correct version it is built up of 3 components. If you look at the second image, you can see that these three components are present but just not all appearing within one character.
Is this a font issue? or is it actually an encoding/rendering issue?
My code for testing this is just a simple label tag
    <s:Label text="ชื่อผู้ใช้" fontFamily="Arial" fontSize="12" />
    Many thanks.

Ok so after doing a bit more of an investigation into the Font being the issue and not the encoding type, it seems as though if I use a specific font which I know has the Thai characters, then they are displayed correctly.
I have embedded the font into the App using the code:
    [Embed(source="../assets/Kinnari.ttf", mimeType="application/x-font", embedAsCFF="true", fontFamily="ThaiFont")]
      private var ThaiFont:Class;
Then on my UI I have added the font:
    <s:Label text="ชื่อผู้ใช้" fontFamily="Arial" fontSize="12" fontFamily="ThaiFont" />
I was able to find this font at a Hawaiian Educational website! Thai fonts :: Thai Language Program, University of Hawai'i, Manoa
    Thanks @tooMuchTrouble for your help.

  • JPG images not displayed correctly in Bridge and Photoshop (Mac OS)

(Note: I have copied the content of this query from the Creative Suites forum where I originally opened it.)
I am using CS4 under OSX 10.4.11 on a PowerMac G5 Quad with 23" Apple cinema display. Images which have been captured as JPG are displayed fine by Preview, but when opened in Bridge, Camera Raw or Photoshop. the colours are all "washed out". The attached screen capture should give an idea of the difference, with the upper being Camera Raw (image settings) and the lower being Preview. My monitor has been calibrated and I'm using sRGB IEC61966-2.1 colour space in Camera Raw and Photoshop. The colours displayed by Preview are pretty close to "real life". I find it virtually impossible to adjust the colours in Photoshop to get back to anything similar.
After opening the image in Photoshop without adjustment, and Save As JPEG with embedded color profile, Preview displays the new image the same as Photoshop. Save As JPEG without embedded color profile, and Preview displays this copy just like the original. It seems that Photoshop is making different (incorrect) assumptions about what color space to use when there is no embedded color profile. Shouldn't it assume sRGB like virtually everything else (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SRGB)? Or is its interpretation of sRGB incorrect? How can I fix this?
Re: JPG images not displayed correctly in Bridge and Photoshop

…If there is someone out there who has experience of obtaining decent colour management in CS4 on a Power PC, I would really like to know how you achieved it.
That would be yours truly, and I hasten to reply because I may have some insights that can help you too.
Just get it it out of the way, here's my setup:
Photoshop 11.0.2 ("CS4"); VersionCue disabled and uninstalled.—2.5 GHz Power Mac (PPC) G5-Quad; 16GB RAM; mutant, flashed 550MHz nVidia GeForce 7800GTX 1,700MHz 512MB VRAM; ATTO ExpressPCI UL5D LP SCSI card; Mac OS X Tiger 10.4.11 and Leopard 10.5.8 boot drives; Spotblight, Dashboard and Time Machine permanently disabled; dual 22" CRT monitors; USB wireless 'n' available but connected to the Internet via wired Ethernet; 1 FW flatbed scanner; 2 SCSI scanners (one tabloid-size transparency scanner and a film scanner); various internal & external HDs; FW Epson 2200 and Ethernet Samsung ML-2850ND printers; 2 X Back-UPS RS 1500 XS units.
I can unambiguously and in good faith represent to you that my color management, from capture to print, is as spot-on as anyone with any kind of setup can hope to achieve.  Unequivocally and without qualifications.
Now, first things first:  Forget about trying to synchronize color management across the point applications lumped together only by Adobe marketing fiat into a variety of meaningless "creative suites".  Concentrate on Photoshop.  Do not try to use Bridge to synchronize anything.
The "suites" are a totally artificial construct created by Adobe bean counters and marketing types.  The point applications (i.e. the individual programs clumsily bundled together, e.g. Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.) are developed independently by separate engineering teams that are not only not in the same building, but in different cities, different states of the American Union, and even in different countries.  They have very little communication among them, if any, as evidenced by repeated posts in these forums by Photoshop engineering staff urging us, the end users, to let the other teams know in their own forums that a given problem exists and is actually affecting our work.
Enough said about the cause of the problem.  The end result is that Color Management is at very, very different levels of progress and sophistication in each individual point application, with only Photoshop fully entitled to be considered state of the art.
Secondly, a disclaimer:  I have been hanging on to my CRT monitors and take care of them as Jascha Heifetz used to take care of his Stradivarius.  I don't know what I will do if I manage to outlive the usefulness and accuracy of my CRTs (unlikely at this point).  I have despaired in futile efforts to bring the luminosity of any LCD monitor down to where I would feel comfortable calibrating and profiling it.  I believe my monitors are the foundation of my color management efforts.
Especially if you have one of the extreme wide-gamut LCD or LED monitors, you'll face an uphill battle.
Be careful to avoid any version 4 icc profiles, whether canned or generated by your calibration software.  Stick to version2 icc profiles.  Ask the manufacturer of your calibration software/hardware if in doubt.
Here are some not-too-recent, but thoroughly representative screen shots of the calibration results I obtain with my monitors, which I calibrate and profile often and regularly (I validate the calibration at least several times per month).
In a nutshell, my color management practices and settings mirror those described by Bruce Fraser, Jeff Schewe, Andrew Rodney and Gary Ballard's site.  I have learned from all of them.
My working color space is ProPhoto RGB.  I choose to work with PSD and PSB files.  As a long-time, rabid JPEG hater, I only rarely deal with JPEGs, using them sporadically to illustrate a point in this forum or elsewhere in the web.  My main output consists of prints.
I only deal with tagged image files (files with an embedded color profile) and often recommend beating up with a baseball bat any moron that hands you an untagged file—figuratively of course, but I find the expression gets my point across unambiguously.
Following is a screen shot of some of my pertinent settings:
Note that I have never bought into the "suite" concept myself.  I do have and routinely use Adobe Illustrator 10.x, InDesign 2.x and Acrobat Professional 8.x, but they are all older, independent versions of each point application, licensed at different times.
Be further advised, that the answer to many problems offered by Adobe engineers often is not to install VersionCue, or uninstall it, or at least disable it.
Also, as outlined at the beginning of this post, concentrate on Photoshop, not on synchronizing applications that can't really communicate with each other, despite the claims of Adobe marketing hacks to the contrary.
One big caveat, do not fall into this trap:
    xxxxyyyyz wrote:
…I believe my problem has nothing to do with my monitor profile, for several reasons, but…
…It seems extremely unlikely to me that…
You either want to learn, or you don't.  You either want to solve your problems, or you don't.
When you start arguing instead of studying, questioning advice instead of following it and detecting where you went wrong, you're on the right track to nowhere.  That attitude will get you there fast.  Remember you are the one with the problem, and only you can acquire the discipline to learn how to solve it.
Go ahead and ask me anything that is not clear, just don't argue with me please, and don't tell me why you think Fraser, Rodney, Ballard and I are wrong.  You see, I am not experiencing any problem that needs fixing.  I have an interest in helping you, but not in hearing about your speculations, theories or conclusions.
    Good luck.

  • Bc4j not behaving correctly when details are repeatedly added/removed

    Hi,
I'm having problems creating a form with a master detail relationship. Seems like bc4j is not behaving correctly when details with the same keys are repeatedly added and removed.
I've 3 entities maintenance order, maintenance and maintenance type with the relationships maintenance order 1:n maintenance n:1 maintenance type. My application module data model has one view for each of these entities and a view link between maintenance order and maintenance.
In the maintenance order form, I can choose which maintenance types apply to a maintenance order by marking checkboxes. The struts action that saves the maintenance order, I remove/add maintenance records base on the selected/unselected checkboxes.
    Sequence of events:
    1) Open maintenance order - Maintenance order shown with all maintenances selected
    2) Uncheck all maintenances and save order - all maintenances removed from db
    3) Open maintenance order - Maintenance order shown with no maintenances selected as expected
    4) Check all maintenances and save order - all maintenances saved to db
    5) Open maintenance order - Maintenance order shown with all maintenances selected as expected
    6) Uncheck all maintenances and save order - NO maintenances removed from db
    7) Open maintenance order - Maintenance order shown with NO maintenances selected, even thought there are maintenances in the db
    8) Check all maintenances and save order - bc4j tried to insert new maintenance records in the db and an exception was raised due to unique constraint violation

Hi Sung, Thanks for your reply.
    Leonardo:
If I understand your msg correctly, I'm wondering if
the data model as you described is complete.
You state that you have MaintenanceType, Maintenance,
and MaintenanceOrder, but don't you need
MaintenanceOrderLine?MaintenanceOrderLine is what I'm calling Maintenance. A Maintenace record is used just to link a MaintenanceOrder to a MaintenanceType
    >
Otherwise, you say that you removed all Maintenance's
in step 2). How did you form a list of all
Maintenance's in step 4)? How do you form this
    list?
was raised due to unique constraint violationAt step 3) I'm using a view object, MaintenanceTypeView, to create a list of checkboxes, one for each MaintenanceType.
At step 4), for each MaintenanceType selected in the form, I'm creating a new Maintenance using:
//All codes of maintenance types, that already have a
//respective maintenance record in the db, have already
//been remove from the maintenancesToInsert list at this
    //point
    for (Iterator iter = maintenancesToInsert.iterator(); iter.hasNext();) {
    MaintenanceViewRow maintenanceRow = (MaintenanceViewRow) maintenanceView.createRow();
    maintenanceRow.setMaintenanceTypeCode(Integer.valueOf((String)iter.next()));
    maintenanceView.insertRow(maintenanceRow);

  • Text on some pages not displaying correctly since Lion upgrade

Since upgrading to Lion a few days ago, I find that the texg on many web pages does not display correctly. It appears to affect mainly header texts - all I get is a row of the capital letter "A" in boxes. I am running Safari Version 5.1 (7534.48.3) on Lion 10.7 Build 11A511.
Can anyone suggest a fix for this?
