DVDSP Menu to fit wide screen and sd tv's?

I burned a DVD with DVDSP and it turned out great only thing is the menu is cropped on a 4x3 monitor, but looks great on a widescreen tv. The video works fine on both, but I must have missed a setting for the menu. Which option am I missing for the menu to either automatically squeeze it on older monitors, but still play full screen 16x9 on newer ones? Many thanks.

To squeeze a 16:9 into a 4:3 screen, you need to letterbox.

  • How do I make safari menu bar fit my screen

I'm a new Mac user on a MacBook Pro with OS Lion and Safari 5.1.  Something has happened so that my windows do not fit the screen (too large) anymore. I have to manually size them everytime I open a new window or program. Additionally the menu title bar across the top of the screen is too long and I have to scroll to see either end. I've gone to preferences and tried to scale it back to where it used to be using the monitor settings but no luck there.  I've looked for something similar to Windows restore to get my screen back to where it was before.  Any ideas what happened and how I can get my title bar to fit across the top without having to scroll.

Try clicking the arrows top right  corner of your Safari window or Control + Command + F on your keyboard.

  • I upgraded to ISO 7. Some of the apps are not w orking properly. Example: Text is to large and cannot fit the screen and cannot be reduced. Other apps  will no longer rotate. Need a fix.

I upgraded my I pad to ISO 7. Some of the APPS are not working properly. Example: The text is to large for the screen and  cannot be adjusted. Other Apps will no longer rotate. Is there a fix?

    Have you updated your apps?
I have found that the rotation from portrait to landscape is broken on some apps. That's not iOS 7's fault, it's the App designer. I have a fairly popular app that got updated the day before iOS 7 came out, presumably it was iOS 7 friendly. But no, it doesn't do landscape. Completely incompetent App designers to make that egregious of an error.
You can contact the designer of each of your apps. It's not Apple's problem.

  • Error message too big to fit onto screen and I can't scroll down

I have compiled an email with a lot of addresses cc'd in it and the mail programme is bringing up an error message when I try to send it. The trouble is that the error message is so long that I can't see the end of it and it won't scroll down so I can't see what the options are to react to it. I have tried all sorts of fixes. Any suggestions?
    Already tried:
    -Changing the screen resolution
-using the tab key to try to select different options then pressing enter
-simply pressing enter (this has the effect of trying to send the message later I think, but the same problem comes up again so I am stuck in a never ending loop, unable to fix it!)
    - dragging to the trash (it won't let me)
using the mouse to try and drag the corners of the message in (works for the email, but not for the error message)
Please help - this is driving me crazy!
    thank you!

I think you're going to have to find & delete that particular one without Mail running, then redo it it with maybe 33 per send.

  • Camelio Z100 has stopped taking wide screen images and 3d images

For some reason I am not able to take 3d still with the Z100.h  Also it is is not taking wide screen still. When I try 3d  still image It takes elongated non 3d images.
There is not issue with video though, both 3d and 2d are wide screen and also able to take 3d video.

My z100 is doing the same thing, but if I keep hitting the 3D button, it finally kicks in and gives me the 3D photo.  When it shoots an elongated single photo when it is supposed to be shooting 3D, my LCD screen gets scewed like it is scrambled.  That let 's me know it didn't take the photo properly.  I then hit 3D again, and it usually works after that.  It is annoying.  Toshiba should put out a firmware update to fix this.  I have attached an example photo where this happens.

  • Note on bugs in PSE 9 and question on fit to screen

Things I don't like or glitches in 9 that I never had in Elements 5:
Undo goes to last layer, NOT to last action. Really annoying when I'm trying to stay on the layer I'm on!!
Icons on organizer are all orange. Every. Single One. Not at all helpful for tags & categories. I found the icon folders after, oh, about half an hour, but can't figure out how to get more icons. I can get orange, blue, red, and green. No purple nor any of the old ones from 5. I guess this is a question, if anyone knows how to make these icons useful rather than boring and uesless.
Help search from the top tab is not for PSE 9, and the suggested answers all go to earlier editions!!! This is really bad.
Last, I can't move the image in the window space. This is kind of basic, to use maximum real estate. In 5, when I enlarged the image with the navigator, the whole image, plus any grey margin, enlarged. It still enlarges, but the outline around it stays the same!! So all you see is 3 big inches, when you need 6 inches to see the image! Then you have to stop and manually drag the outline to match the size of the image. So time-consuming.
Another size problem is that for some reason I can't deselect the Project Bin in the Windows tab. The check mark is always there. That means that there is always 1.5 inches or so in the bottom I could use, but Fit to Screen STOPS where the project Bin used to be. Again, I have to drag the whole outline down to work on the image.
Enlarging the box outline to match the image is basic geometry that should have been figured out in Elements 1, not in 9.Since this happens before you even start work on the image, it ruins the experience from the start.
Any suggestions on fixing the icons or deselecting the project bin or automatically sizing to fit screen gratefully appreciated.

I was on the phone for 5 minutes short of 3 hours - about an hour was on hold. I decided to limit my complaints to 2: the orange tags that are the only color now for Organizer tags & categories (3 other colors, but can't add colors or shapes of icons) and the problem with fit to screen. They had me download an app so that they could see everything on my computer. I'd never done this before, and was a little nervous, but also desperate. For each time they moved I had to give permission, so you have some control.
They know about the organizer tag problem. No solution yet. The more people complain, the better. They have issued some updates, so they can update this if they WANT to. One guy suggested that asking for more than 5 icons is a "request" but I insisted that it is a BUG! No one can organize their images into just 4 or 5 categories!
I talked to 3 guys before any of them could fix the full image problem, so it pays to be persistent and keep asking. To answer you, Barbara, yes, you can make the Project Bin disappear totally if you're in Float mode (and also unattach it, or move it to Panel Bin - I was in Float mode, and didn't know it. In fact, even the words of the tab Project Bin will disappear.  In that mode, Fit to Screen will always stay ABOVE where the PB would be - about 1.5 inches from bottom.
The guy who helped finally had me remove the entire folder inside Adobe, and it built a new one, without Preferences. (I don't know why he couldn't just check Default mode, but he didn't) I had checked Allow floating documents in Preferences. Why not? Well, the screen behaves differently, if the images are floating - they just won't use the full edit space unless you drag and push them all over.
The default Normal mode will center the image fairly big. Then in Window uncheck PBin. The image will center itself again, but will not get any bigger, even with the extra space. Go up to View, Fit to Screen, and then it will fill the whole space!
I really think there shouldn't be a Floating mode preference there at all - it was very problematic.

  • Open in CS4 Fit to Screen, from Bridge

Is there a way I can open a RAW file in  ACR, and when I Open Image in CS4, they always open as fit to screen? The default seems to be 33.33%?
    Windows XP and CS4.
    Bob

    Here's how to do that:
First, create an action in PS to display an image full screen.  My action simply captures clicking the View Menu then Fit On Screen.
    Next...
Click File > Scripts > Script Events Manager
In the dialog that opens, check the box at the top to enable events to run scripts.
    In the dialog, set:
    Photoshop Event: Open Document
Click the Script radio button and then select the action you made to display the image full screen.
    Click Add, then Done.
Now when you open an image from Bridge (or just from File > Open), it will open and the size will change to full screen.
    Hope this helps.

  • Question on wide screen picture

I run Itunes on a Pentium D Gateway PC with a 21" wide screen LCD monitor. The monitor can also be used as a HDTV. I have downloaded somed episodes of Battlestar Galactica and the Stargate shows. When I view them I select fit to screen and it fills my screen with an excellant picture. Is Itunes really giving me a wide screen picture or is it just doing a good job of making a regular 4:3 picture look good?

Good question! Wish I had a monitor like yours~!

  • Encoding for Wide Screen & Standard Screen

I have put together a number of standard definition clips from youtube which I wanted to show as a presentation on both wide screen and normal screen TVs (PAL). I have tried various different settings under the share menu and tried my luck with compressor 4 custom resolution but I am finding that when played on the TV at least on Wide Screen my picture is being croped on the sides.
Can someone kindly guide me as to what settings I need to use with FCPX or Compressor 4 so that I am able to view the full picture without being crropped, please - many thanks.

am having problem with images always being larger than the screen when imported to imovie 5
What screen? The computer screen or on the TV.
In the latter case, that is due to overscan. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Overscan
In the former case, enable Ken Burns checkbox. Set both the start and end zoom to 1x. Disable Ken Burns again.

What setting have you chosen in the view menu? Fit to Screen or Window.
And, in Preferences what have you set for Display?

  • Gnome looks 4:3 on a my wide screen [SOLVED]

    Hello!
I just installed Arch on my small Samsung Q45 notebook (with wide screen), and I'm having this curious problem with Gnome: even though X seems to stard at the correct resolution of 1280x800, Gnome panels do not fill up the full space.
An image is worth a thousand words so here we go:
    http://www.italpro.net/images/gnome-strange.jpg
As you can see, the area at the right or at the bottom is perfectly usable, as I can move icons and windows there. However, the panels don't expand to fill it. This is probably due to a thing you can see in the screen resolution preferences dialog in the upper-right part of the screen: Gnome sees my screen as a 4:3 1024x768!!! Also it shows a weird refresh rate of 30hz.
Besides this problem, I can see everything perfectly well (readable chars, no flickers, perfect colours), so that must be a Gnome-related issue...?
    Thanks,
    Michele.

    Hello!
uastasi wrote:Take a look to your /etc/X11/xorg.conf at Monitor Section and try editing your refresh rate.
    VertRefresh is set to:
    VertRefresh 50.0 - 75.0
which is a setting that doesn't even include the 30.0 that Gnome is showing me in the resolution preferences dialog. Moreover, I see things perfectly well, so I think X is correctly started at 1280x800@60Hz - it's just Gnome that seems to not be understanding that! Anyhow, I tried changing the above line to:
    VertRefresh 60.0
    but nothing really changes.
You can also switch to tty1 and see if it is an issue related to Gnome.
It is: on text terminals, and even with other X window managers, everything works. It's just Gnome (and it's related GDM) which size themselves wrongly.
    Thanks,
    Michele.
