DVI corruption on new card (NX6200AX-TD128)

Question

It's been a while since I've had to post here with an MSI problem - so hopefully this will be short and sweet:
When I use the DVI out on my new 6200 card the display is garbled.
I've updated my mobo bios, my vga bios, tried several nvidia drivers, reseated the card... still I get garbage with DVI. No problems at all with analog.
My monitors native res is 1280 x 1024, which looks terrible using DVI (see pic below) - but even at lower resolutions I still get garbage and messed up colours.
Any ideas what's going on here? Time to try a different dvi cable? (Although the one I'm using now is brand new).

Yeah I've tried all sorts of resolutions etc. 
The few days to return the card was if I wanted the retailer to deal with the MSI supplier on my behalf - otherwise I'd have to do it myself.
But I think I've found the problem anyway - I'm pretty sure it's the cable after reading this: http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/forum-replies-archive.cfm/406134.html
I'm using the same brand of cable ("Anyware") that they're talking about.
I've ordered a new cable and have crossed my fingers.
