DW 8.0.2 hot fix ref 207225 broke with php 5.2.6

DW hotfix 8.0.2 which fixed the following issue (in php
5.1.4),
After upgrading to php 5.2.6 I am receiving the same mm xsl
transform error
I have had to downgrade my php to 5.2.5
Please can this be investigated.
XSL Transformation server behavior doesn't work with PHP
5.1.4An XSLT fragment embedded in a PHP page using the XSL
Transformation server behavior triggers the following
MM_XSLTransform error when processed by a PHP 5.1.4 server:
MM_XSLTransform error.
http://newsrss.mysite.com/rss/rss.xml
is not a valid XML document.
Non-static method DOMDocument::loadXML() should not be called
statically, assuming $this from incompatible context in file
http://newsrss.mysite.com/rss/rss.xml.
The error message incorrectly reports that the XML data
source is not a valid XML document. The same page displays
successfully when processed by a PHP 5.1.2 server. This problem
occurs in Dreamweaver 8.0, 8.0.1 and 8.0.2 and is due to the use of
a static function call that was newly deprecated in PHP 5.1.4.

No. I have installed PHP 5.2.6 on a different machine, and
tested the
XSL Transformation server behavior. It works exactly the same
as in 5.2.5.
> If confirmed, what is the process for raising a bug and
will Adobe fix it?
I cannot confirm the problem, so there's nothing I can see
for Adobe to
fix. However, the correct channel for reporting bugs is
through the form
at the following address:
http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/mmform/index.cfm?name=wishform
Even if a problem can be identified, it's highly unlikely
that Adobe
would issue an updated version of the 8.0.2 hotfix. The
hotfix worked
perfectly with the version of PHP that was current at the
time. Since
then, CS3 has been released, and CS4 is being officially
announced next
Tuesday. If a fix is required (and I don't believe one is),
the normal
policy is to supply it for the current version of
Dreamweaver, not one
that is no longer on sale.

  • Cumulative Hot Fix 2 for ColdFusion 8.0.1?

We've been feeling a little leery about Adobe's stance with
CF8 for a while now due to the lack of patches and updates compared
to what we've been used to expecting from Macromedia. We've been
checking the patch and security pages a couple times a week looking
to see if there have been any changes. I noticed a change date on
the CF8 patch page the other day but no new patches showed up.
    http://www.adobe.com/support/coldfusion/downloads_updates.html
Then today I noticed the date changed again at the bottom and
now there was a new patch at the top replacing the 2 that were
there before. Cumulative Hot Fix 2 for ColdFusion 8.0.1
The patch says it's from 10/20/2008 and if you decompress the
file it gives a date of 10/17/2008 on the file. This patch was new
to the public as of this week though. The reason I'm posting is to
try to understand why this patch has been sitting unreleased for
nearly 5 months now? There clearly have not been any changes to the
file in that time frame so that was either the best written patch
with the most exhaustive testing ever or someones been neglecting
posting the patches that have been completed.

@brentil, ah, ok. I understand now. Yep, that is curious. I
can confirm that it wasn't there on Mar 17, per the Google cache
    page:
    http://74.125.93.104/search?rlz=1C1GGLS_en-USUS291US306&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8&q=cache:h ttp://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/viewContent.do%3FexternalId%3Dkb402604%26sliceId%3D1
Of course, by the time someone reads this in the future, it's
possible that the cached page will be different again. One would
want to note the date offered by Google at the top of the page it
    shows.
So the real question is why the CHF link was note posted here
until now. I'm with you that some resources are not always updated.
    I blogged about it:
    http://www.carehart.org/blog/client/index.cfm/2008/7/16/beware_technotes_may_not_be_listed _elsewhere
Perhaps more dismaying is that the CHF2 technote lists many
more HFs included than appear in the main hotfix page (the URL you
pointed to). So one might ask why we should have had to wait for a
    CHF to get those hotfixes.
Also, I notice that the main cf8 downloads page (which you
pointed to originally) does not, in fact, refer to the 8.0.1 CHF
(though it does list 8.0 CHFs). That should be address.
I agree that we should expect the hotfixes page to list any
hotfixes or CHFs as soon as they're available. Sorry I missed your
    main point.
Sadly, I don't know that we can expect too much to come of
this discussion here. There's just no guarantee that anyone
responsible would see it. But here's good news. A couple of blog
    entries have raised the concern:
    http://www.creative-restraint.co.uk/blog/post.cfm/coldfusion-8-0-1-cumulative-hotfix-2
    http://blog.pengoworks.com/index.cfm/2009/3/18/ColdFusion-v801-Hot-Fix-2-released-in-Oct-2 008
And Ben Forta is a party to the second one, where I've just
added a comment asking to find who we can press about this.
Finally, just an FYI: that URL you offered is indeed the same
page that I'd offered. The URL I gave (
    http://www.adobe.com/go/kb402604)
comes from the "permanent link" offered at the bottom of all Adobe
technotes, which is just a nice shorter URL.

  • Installed WIndows 7 & correct bootcamp drivers, windows will not activate "hot fix" or "Support drivers"

Hello, i hope someone can help,
i have repeated this whole process 3 times already, it has taken 8 strait hours of my time and i still have had no success.
    QUICK SUMMERY
To put it simply, After windows is up and running on my mac, the wireless network wont work, so i cannot download the hot fix, and the support driver files from bootcamp will not open because it says they are not "32 Valid" ?. But im using a 64bit disk.
The wireless network adaptor automatically doesn't work on windows right after installation,
so i had to load the Hot Fix onto an SD card along with the bootcamp drivers, then open the hotfix file in windows.
The first time i was able to install the fix, windows restarted and installed the update, logged back on... and nothing changed.
At that point i attempted to open the "Setup"  file in the bootcamp support folder, and an error message came up saying it wasn't valid.
LONGER EXPLANATION OF MY COMPLETE PROCESS: (to cancel out any questions)
i was able to find my support driver from here:
    http://swscan.apple.com/content/catalogs/others/index-leopard-snowleopard.merged -1.sucatalog
its some old fashion coded page that has a bunch of apple drivers you can download by pasting one of the codes in your browser,
i searched for bootcamp support drivers, and found the code for my exact model (Mac Pro 8,2)
i was able to manually downloaded the drivers instead of  using bootcamp assistant.
    As a side note,
i was able to download the bootcamp drivers via boot camp assistant after the 5th try,
so now i have both files that i know are supposed to work 100%. they are loaded and unzipped on an SD card like they are supposed to be for when i open windows.
I have a Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium x64 bit CD from the inlaws so i used that CD after i partitioned my drive in bootcamp.
Bootcamp run like it was supposed to, and i followed step by step instructions in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uVfRQ0YIDUI&feature=related
    once windows was finished installing,
it automatically would not detect a network card, so i couldn't connect to the internet and download the apples bug fix. (The Hot fix)
instead i downloaded the hot fix on a separate SD card, turned windows back on and loaded the hot fix from the SD card.
Windows installed the hot fix update, restarted, but nothing changed.
Ive even tried skipping right to uploading the drivers, and windows wont activate the support because it says its not "32 Valid"
I completely removed windows 7 vis bootcamp to rinse and repeat hoping i made a simple mistake, but no same thing happened.
    Conclusion
-im Wondering if i should "Istall important Windows Updates" during the begining of windows preperation...
maybe that will fix the issues of it not reconizing wierless network, and not being able to upen up the bootcamp file?
(it says you are not supposed to install any windows updates untill the HOT FIX and BOOTCAMP SUPPORT is activated on windows)

    Keith Doherty3 wrote:
You have been too cleaver for a Boot Camp install.
The partition system does NOT like anything other than a standard arrangement which creates 4 partitions.
    EFI -200mb
    OSx - Extended Journaled
    Buffer-200mb
    Windows -NTFS
Return to OSx -Open Boot Camp tool from the utilities folder reset to a single partition.
Start again and when you get to Windows - Let all the drivers load on the CREATED partition. Use the External for storage !
Just for your information, as it doesn't seem you have ever used BC.
When starting the boot camp assistant the first thing it want to do is download the Windows Support drivers and asks you to save them to a DVD, it will also allow you to save them to your OS X hard drive or to any drive connected to the system. Once those drivers are downloaded it then starts the Win install. What you must do is copy those support drives to a media that Windows can See and Read from. Like a DVD or a thumb drive formatted FAT32
No where in the OPs post does he say anything about fooling with any partitions on his internal drive other then creating the BC partition.
His problem is he saved those support files to a Mac OS X formatted external drive. Windows can not read Mac Extended (Journaled) formatted drives. So he can't load the drivers for Windows until he copies those support files ove to something that Windows can read.

  • Hot Fix error message for KB979344 "this update is not applicable to your computer", on Windows 7 64 bit with SP1

I've been having issues with an external Esata drive.  Instead of being seen as a removeable drive, it is seen as a hard drive.  This has caused us nothing but problems since our full disk encryption software automatically starts to encrypt
    the drive rendering it useless.
The real problem I'm having is installing the Hot Fix, KB979344, for this issue.  when tring to install, I get the message, "this update is not applicable to your computer"  I've looked and this hot fix doesn't seem to be part of SP1, but
I could be missing it.  Any thoughts?
    Thanks,
    Keith

    Hi Keithk,
This hotfix is already contained in Windows 7 Service Pack 1.
Please add the registry key to check if the issue persists. (For added protection, back up the registry before you modify it. Then, you can restore the registry if a problem occurs.  )
    Navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Storage
Create a DWORD Value, name SATAHotplugPolicyOverride,
    set 1 in Value Data.
Restart the computer to check if it works.

i made a dual boot of windows 7 and mac os x lion in my macbook pro .i installed m icrosoft support software also. now, can i install windows updates? do i turn on the automatic updating of updates? does hot fix of microsoft i.e, " support.microsoft.com/kb/979491" helps in stop freezing in dual boot mechanism?

Windows has a software updater built into Windows and when you install the Boot Camp drivers then it will install an Apple software updater also. I believe Windows is set to automatically download and install your updates as does the Apple software Updater. They both will update the individual files it needs to periodically.
"Microsoft updates" and "Windows updates" are basically the same thing in Windows. Are you talking about the "Windows support software" when downloading from Boot Camp Assistant? Apple installs a software updater for it's Boot Camp drivers in Windows 7 so you can do it manually or automatically.
The "Hot Fix" your referring to is only for certain motherboards built from other Windows only computer manufacturers and does NOT pertain to any Apple computers.
If you have a problem with your computer then it's best to ask a specific question so we can help better.

  • Cisco ISE: 802.1x [EAP-TLS] + List of Applicable Hot-Fixes

    Dear Folks,
Kindly suggest the list of all possible Hot-Fixes required for the Cisco ISE EAP-TLS solution... We have applied 9 HotFixes so far. But, still the connectivity is intermittent. Is there any list for all applicable Hot-Fixes?
    OS = Win 7 SP1 (32/64 Bit) and Win 8
    Thanks,
    Regards,
    Mubasher Sultan

    Hi Mubasher
KB2481614:      If you’re configuring your 802.1x settings via Group Policy you’ll see      sometimes EAP-PEAP request from clients in your radius server log during      booting even if you’ll set EAP-TLS. This error happened in our case with      1/3 of the boots with some models. The error is caused by a timing problem      during startup. Sometimes the 802.1x is faster and sometimes the Group      Policy is, and if the 802.1x is faster than the default configuration is      taken, which is PEAP. Which lead to a EAP-NAK by the radius server.
KB980295:      If an initial 802.1x authentication is passed, but a re-authentication      fails, Windows 7 will ignore all later 802.1x requests. This hotfix should      also fix a problem with computers waking up from sleep or hibernation –      but we’ve disabled these features so I can’t comment on them.
KB976373:      This hotfix is called “A computer that is connected to an IEEE      802.1x-authenticated network via another 802.1x enabled device does not      connect to the correct network”. I can’t comment on this, as we’ve not      deployed 802.1x for our VoIP phones at this point.I would guess it is the      same for Windows 7 too. The linked article tells you to install the patch      and set some registry key to lower the value.
KB2769121:      A short time ago I found this one: “802.1X authentication fails on a      Windows 7-based or Windows 2008 R2-based computer that has multiple      certificates”. At time of writing I’m not sure if it helps for something      in my setup. According to the symptoms list of the hotfix, it does not,      but maybe it helps for something else, as the one before does.
KB2736878:      An other error during booting – this time it happens if the read process      starts before the network adapter is initialized. Really seems that they      wanted to get faster boot times, no matter the costs.
KB2494172:      This hotfix fixes a problem if you’ve installed a valid and invalid      certificate for 802.1x authentication. The workaround is just deleting the      invalid certificate. I’m not sure at this point if it affects also wired      authentication.
KB976210:This      problem occurs only during automated build processes and if you use an EAP      method which needs user interaction – as I don’t do that I can’t comment      on this hotfix.

  • Installing Cumulative Hot Fix 2

The installation instructions for ColdFusion MX 7.0.1
Cumulative Hot Fix 2 say, "Note: Any individual hot fixes
previously installed that are now contained in this cumulative hot
    fix should be removed."
Since I previously installed the MX 7.0.1 Cumulative Hot Fix
1, does that mean that I have to remove it before I install
Cumulative Hot Fix 2, since they contain some of the same hotfixes?
If so, what is the procedure for removing it?

    Hi,
You really do not have to worry about previous cumulative
hotfixes as coldfusion server does not load them into jvm. It only
loads the latest cumulative hotfix. Article recommends you to
remove individual hotfixes as coldfusion does not check for each
    hotfix in the cumulative hotfixes.
If you really want to remove the previous cumulative hotfix,
go to Coldfusion-home/lib/updates (standalone install) and delete
chf7010001.jar. For J2EE install of coldfusion, go to
    Cfusion-ear/cfusion-war/WEB-INF/cfusion/lib/updates directory and
delete the chf7010001.jar. You will have to restart coldfusion
    server after making the change.
    Thanks,
    Swathi.

  • Are there any hot fixes or releases due soon?

It's been a while since I've seen anything released from the update centre. Are there any fixes due for release soon?
Despite several months, a few hot fixes and the JSC2 Update 1 release, JSC2 doesn't seem to have improved all that much since the initial release.
The main issue for me at the minute is performance. I know this has been discussed several times on this forum, but there is very little information on when we might see a release that starts to address this issue. I realise that the issue is complex and probably covers many functional areas of the app, so a hot fix or two will not address the problem. However, at the minute working with JSC2 on a medium sized application is unproductive and is becoming almost unusable. For example, even minor code tweaks or property changes completely lock the IDE for around 30 seconds and send my CPU usage to 100%. The thing is that, functionally JSC2 is excellent. This is the way I want to be building my JSF applications and I'm very grateful to Sun for making it available for free. If it wasn't hampered with these performance issues I'd be knocking out web apps in no time at all but unfortunately, as it stands now, it is almost a hinderance. I have some new projects coming up where I would like to use JSC2 but I cannot recommend it on the grounds of productivity.
When can we expect something to be released that starts addressing performance? When can I start recommending JSC2 again?

As per previous posts, complete agreement.
I have built a production system in-house for a large company using JSC. I had to get my machine upgraded to 2GB just to get some usuability but it still needs a few jsc re-starts and appserver restarts through out the day.
Functionality wise, JSC is such a winner and the guys at SUN have indeed did a great job. I come from a VB environement for the last 12 years, so having a rich web client tool was high on my priority. But if I am to try and preach to the rest of the J2EE guys here, the performance issues really need to be addressed. They are used to Eclipse and I don't need to go on about how good that tool is. If any other company gets JSF to work under Eclipse the way JSC does, I would have no hesitation in using that tool.
I hvae tried some of the Eclipse based JSF IDE's and they don't even compete with JSC in terms of ease of use and putting apps together. But they do not lock the machine for 30 secs when I click a property or right click on a component !
I have been one of the champions of JSC from the start and I still am. The system I wrote has near 300 users and is working fine with not one
problem in 3 months. If this performance problem can be beat, JSC will set the standard for GUI development for years. If not, then it will be consigned to the nearly made it bin.
    To the guys at SUN:
After all the time and effort you have put into this product, I'm sure there is no overnight cure for the problems. I am sure you are working on the problems. For me, I don't care about any new Ajax components, etc in the updates. If the next patch gets JSC even working 50% better performance, I will be a happy man. Then I can go and try to convert the unimpressed.
if not, then I will be forced into a corner to use IDM RAD tool for JSF development, of which I do not want to do. My company has an IBM affiliation, but I like to use the best tools for the job.
Overall, impressed by JSC but the final hurdle has not been jumped.
    Regards,
    LOTI.

  • CFMX 7.0.2 Cumulative Hot Fix 3 Question...

I feel like an idiot for asking this, but I'm hoping someone can clarify the install instructions for CFMX 7.0.2 Cumulative Hot Fix 3 for me.
I totally get uploading the chf7020003.jar file through the CF Admin (which really just copies the JAR to the cfusion/lib/updates folder), but what's throwing me off is in the bottom of the document where it talks about hot fix #65719 (CFDocument hot-fix). This hot fix requires manually swapping out some JARS in the cfusion/lib folder. I'm all good with that too.
My ultimate question here is DOES CFMX 7.0.2 Cumulative Hot Fix 3 ****require****  hot fix #65719 (CFDocument hot-fix)?  Or can I just install the chf7020003.jar and not worry about the CFDocument hot-fix? I'd like to NOT install the CFDocument hot-fix unless it's required.
Also, I know the instructions for installing the Cumulative updates say to remove other installed hot-fixes, but I didn't see hot-fix #65719 in the list of hotfixes that Cumulative Hot Fix 3 includes, so I'm guessing I'd need both?
This has got to seem like a silly question, but it just doesn't seem clear to me, any help to clarify this is greatly appreciated.
