DW 8 Not Saving FTP Login Info
From session to session, Dreamweaver site setup is not saving
the ftp username and password info for all of the sites I manage -
a real pain in the ... Any thoughs as to what's going on or is
anyone else experiencing this problem?
Thanks
Rod Parker
That question is also asked and answered frequently - what is
the name of
your hard drive? Does it begin with any special characters?

Dreamweaver not saving sites login info
Dreamweaver 8 is not saving my site logins and passwords,
regardless of whether or not the "save" checkbox is enabled.
This is on XP 64bit, I did not have this problem on my
previous machine running the same version of Dreamweaver and
XP64.Search this for for "It's posted a million times - uninstall
IE7 or update
to DW 8.0.2". I'm sure you'll find your answer in one of
them.... 8)

Saving FTP Login info - Won't do
I haqve about 20 websites i manage, however i have one
website ftp user id and password it just won't save. every time i
open dreamweaver i have to re-enter user id and password. it drives
me crazy. i did re-install. remove pref file, nothing helps.
Anybody knows any solution?
thanksCS4.
However i did go around the problem with renaming the
problematic website (after deleting and re-adding with a different
name), it seems like keeping the settings now. It was weird.
Thanks for getting back to me though, i really appreciated.

Dreamweaver not storing FTP login
Every time I open Dreamweaver (on Mac) after system start up or even after quitting the program, all of my ftp access info is erase from each site. It remembers the ftp or IP address, but not the login on password.

Saving the site's FTP login info
I figured out that I can save a MUSE site to the Creative Cloud so I can share site maintenance between my two computers. It works great for making sure a site is kept synced between the two computers. One thing that doesn't get synced is the FTP information. Right now I save a small .txt file in the CC folder with the .muse document so the login information is handy when I need to re-type it.
Is there a trick or tip for having the FTP login information saved within the .muse file so I don't have to re-type it whenever I switch computers? The key phrase there from the Adobe Staff was "FTP credentials are specific to a given machine+site file+Adobe ID". Everything is true except that it happens when I open it on a different machine. That must be it but it sure is inconvenient when moving back and forth between machines.
Thanks, Gaurav. I think you got it. -
DW8 does not save the FTP login info
Since I upgraded to DW8 I have to retype all the FTP login
information every time I try to connect to a remote site.
The "save" check box is checked. I have downloaded the latest
updates. My operating system is xp. What can I do to make DW save
the information?Updating to 8.0.2 does the job.

HT202667 Unable to Update My apple ID - Not Saving My New Info
In "Manage My Apple ID", the web site is not saving my new email. I am attempting to change the primary ID to a new, valid Gmail and every time I click save it reverts back to the original Apple ID. This is very frustrating! Could anyone please help?
Im sorta having the same issue. I logged on to Icloud.com on my desktop. I was asked to update your apple ID with a verification code sent to my email. I checked the email and this is what it said.
Your Apple ID was used to sign in to iCloud via a web browser.
Date and Time: March 13, 2015, 7:19 AM PDT
Browser: Chrome
Operating System: Windows
If the information above looks familiar, you can disregard this email.
If you have not signed in to iCloud recently and believe someone may have accessed your account, go to My Apple ID (https://appleid.apple.com) and change your password as soon as possible.
Apple Support
As you can see there is no code and i cannot access my Icloud account until i enter a verification code, i have requested three different times for a new code and i still have not received an email. -

Update wipes out ftp login info!
So I just updated Dreamweaver CS5 with the latest updates from Adobe and it wipes out all the ftp user info for each site. What is up with that?!
You think they would have fixed this by now.
Very disappointed.Hi bernwa,
Sorry for any frustration this may have caused.
Restarting your computer should restore them. See this document for more information:

Is there a setting or patch to make sure that DW does
actually save my remote login info in the site definition box? It
used to save it ok in MX but in 8 every time I open DW I have to
enter uname pword to connect to remote site even though the 'Save'
checkbox is checked? A small but very annoying problem!A reinstall *should* preserve site definitions, but you can
always export
the sites first using DW's Site Manager, just to be safe.

I reinstalled Dreamweaver on a new laptop and it won't save
the log on and password info for sites. I've downloaded the 8.02
update, but can't figure out the workaround for not having the CDs.
When i try to run the setup, it recognizes that Dreamweaver is
installed and wants to repair and isn't giving me the option to
browse as it states in the instructions. Is there any other way I
can access the file needed for the workaround?> I had to install Dreamweaver on a new laptop and it

Actions not saving all printer info
I have a large poster printer and I have about 6 different size posters that I print regularly. Each poster size has a bunch of differnt print settings (which roll of paper to use, where to position the poster, size of the image..). It seems when I save a action of me printing a poster not ALL of this information is saved from the print settings.
How can I completely automate this? I want to be able to press a button labeled "print 36x36" and it will print the image at the right size using the right paper in the right location on the paper. Any ideas? Thanks everyone!Hi. Because the forum you originally posted in is for beginners trying to learn the basics of Photoshop, I'm moving your question to the Photoshop General Discussion forum.

WRT54GS Not saving port forwarding info.
I gave up on an older router, and had the wrt54gs sitting in my closet. I had to set it up for the PSN and COD4, but everytime I enter the port forwarding info, it says its saved, but erases it.
The info is:
TCP 80
TCP 443
TCP 5223
UDP 3478 - 3479
UDP 3658
All enabled on PS3s IP
Click SAVE SETTINGS
It opens a black window that says settings saved
I click OK
and everything has been erased.
Im on firmware 7.50.2.
Ive tried both firefox 3 and internet explorer. (ff3 error console gave me no errors)
DMZ is enabled for my PS3.
Ive tried both a wired and wireless connection.
I can use my PS3s browser (if that matters)
Any suggestions? You need to Upgrade the Firmware on your router...Download the Firmware from here , Follow these steps to upgrade the firmware on the device: -
Open an Internet Explorer browser page.In the address bar type - 192.168.1.1
Leave the username blank & in password use admin in lower case...
Click on the 'Administration' tab- Then click on the 'Firmware Upgrade' sub tab- Here click on 'Browse' and browse the .bin firmware file and click on "Upgrade"...
Wait for few seconds until it shows that "Upgrade is successful" After the firmware upgrade, click on "Reboot" and you will be returned back to the same page OR it will say "Page cannot be displayed".
Press and hold the reset button for 30 seconds...Release the reset button...Unplug the power cable from your router, wait for 30 seconds and re-connect the power cable...Now re-configure your router and do the port forwarding and check if it saves the settings... -
Where does Dreamweaver CS5 store FTP log in info for defined sites? I erased by hard drive and reinstalled my operating system, and worked with a senior Apple tech to restore my settings and programs from a Time Machine back up. Dreamweaver is there and working fine, but the site definitions are missing the log-in and passwords to connect via ftp. Where is that info stored? Is there a preferences file somewhere?
Jh100 as Mylenium suggested can you please post your question regarding features of Dreamweaver to the Dreamweaver forum?
