DW crashes when creating new site

I have tried to build a new site---it was done in Front Page
2003 originally. The "Updating the site cache" stops at 1252 every
time. I have deleted the file that it stopped at; and it stopped at
update 1252 again but with a different file name.
The error is ModName: msvcr80.dll

Any chance that file is exactly 8,192 bytes or a multiple
thereof?

  • SSMS crash when creating new database diagram

For several years I have been unable to create database diagrams from within SSMS.  I have tried every combination of VS2005, VS2008, VS2012 and VS2013 with every combination of SQL2005, SQL2008, SQL2012 and SQL2014.
I have installed, uninstalled, and repaired many dozens of times.  I am currently using VS2013 ultimate with SQL2014 express.
I have tried every related 'workaround' that I can find on the internet.  Still the problem persists.
Any help would be deeply appreciated.
Here are the relevant details with file versions:
In SSMS, I right-click on a database and choose New Database Diagram.  A Blank diagram window appears with the SSMS error dialog:

  • Lab View crashing when creating new bound variable

    Hi,
I have to connect to an OPC server from Lab view and have played around a bit with the OPC client options.
I would like to use shared variables as that seems like a handy way to access the needed variables. I have followed the instructions in http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/tut/p/id/7450 .
However when i use the create bound variables feature LabView crashes when i browse for OPC tags, step3 under "Create Shared Variables that Connect to the OPC Tags through the I/O Server". If i try to expand the node "OPC1" LabView crashes. I try to access the built in NI OPC server locally.
Also during this process LabView gives warning box saying "Configure OPC server to run with an identity of interactive user". we did try the the steps in http://zone.ni.com/reference/en-XX/help/371618G-01/lvdschelp/config_local_opc_serv/ . However the The interactive user button was disabled under NI OPC sever properties.
Is there something i have missed? Something that needs to be configured before going through that tutorial?
I run LabView 2011 on a 64 bit Win7P computer. The DSC module and the NI OPC Servers are installed and seem to work (when running the OPC examples ).
    Thanks.

    Hello AmritaNikhil,
Thanks for the post, I have a few questions for you about this issue.
What versions of NI OPC Servers are you using?
Is the server hosted on your local machine or on a remote machine?
Are you able to successfully connect NI OPC Servers and NI OPC Quick Client?
Have you been successful in using OPC IO Servers in the past or has this issue occurred since you have started your application?
Can you consistently reproduce this crash?
You can try to work around this issue by using Network Items rather than Project Items when creating bound variables in the Create Bound Variables window. Please try this option and let me know if you have any additional information about your application that may be helpful in solving this issue. In addition, I have also included a link to a similar post. Hope this helps!

  • RoboHelp 7 crashes when creating new project with files from VSS

RoboHelp crashes when I create a new project and choose to get existing files from Visual Source Safe to load into the project.  Does anyone have a solution to this problem or a suggestion as to why this may be happening?  I'm attaching the errors associated with the crashing.
Also, we have a very large Help system (985 topics) which compiles into a 46 MB chm file.  Is there a maximum suggested topic size (per topic) and a maximum suggested number of topics per project?  Could this be part of the reason RoboHelp is crashing?  We've always had a large Help system since we started using RoboHelp several years ago but the crashing is a more recent problem.
    Thanks,
    Carissa

I had the same issue then I found out all you have to do is to set the default view to List before opening any previous or new project and it worked, credit goes to this user below who found the solution.
    ahmedMac25
I was able to resolve by workaround:
    1. Closed all open applications
    2. relaunch Finder
    3. run  sudo find / -name ".DS_Store"  -exec rm {} \;
    4. this removes all  .DS_Store old files on the computer
    5. launch finder and set default view to "LIST VIEW" as shown here:http://macs.about.com/od/usingyourmac/ss/Setting-Finder-Views-For-Folders-And-Su b-Folders_2.htm
    5. rerun the offending application and file chooser works

    Hi Saras,
We really apologize for all the inconvenience which has caused you.
Try the steps below to check the issue.
    1. Try to reset the preferences
Press Alt-Crtl-Shift on a PC  as soon as you click Illustratir icon to reset the preferences to the factory defaults.
    2. If that doesnt help try removing all the installed printers from the system one by one & check.

  • Keynote '08 crashes when creating new presentation

I just installed iWork '08. Keynote starts fine, but once I've chosen the template for a new presentation and say "Choose", it crashes (disappears from screen and lets me report a problem to Apple). When I tell it to not show this dialog again and then create a new presentation, it crashes too.
    Pages and Numbers work fine.
Didn't have iWork before, but had the trial of the former version installed once.
    Any ideas anyone?

OK - got one step further...
Keynote Export behaviour pretty much depends on QuickTime and the QuickTime codecs installed. Removed some "suspects" - not knowing exactly how they made it into my QuickTime folder - and now Export even into a QuickTime movie works like a charm. Need to manually re-add the removed codecs piece by piece now to identify the one that caused the crash.

  • Client Crashes when Creating New Email

I have a few users that are having this problem.
Whenever they try to create a new email, either from "Reply" or from "New Mail", Groupwise crashes.
This problem only occurs locally. If I delete their Windows profile and create a new one, it goes away. If another user logs into that computer, it works. If the affected user goes to another machine, it works.
Once the problem starts, it will do it every time they try to create an email.
I uninstalled Groupwise Client, cleaned out the registry, and reinstalled it. I uninstalled Adobe Acrobat. I gave the user local admin rights. Only killing the profile is temporarily working. It does come back eventually, usually within a month. I have not been able to link it to a specific email or file attachment.
All of our machines are running Windows XP SP3. We did have this problem with SP2 as well. They are also running MS Office Vista, Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional, and Symantec AV Endpoint 11.
Here is the error message when it crashes:
"Novell Groupwise Client has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvience."
    Followed by:
"The instruction at "0x53667831" referenced memory at "0x03c32500". The memory could not be read. Click on OK to terminate the program"
The error recorded by Event Viewer is:
"Faulting application grpwise.exe, version 7.0.3.1068, faulting module ntdll.dll, version 5.1.2600.5755, fault address 0x00010f20"

  • Mail Crashes When Creating New Email

Hi... I did a fresh install of OS X 10.3 due to a catastrophic boot sector error. Everything's working again, except Mail. When I click New Mail, it crashes every time. Is is because I messed something up when I tried to import my old mailboxes and preferences? Can I install Mail again and start from scratch?
More generally, how does one re-install a single Mac app. without reinstalling the whole OS?
In the meantime I'm using Thunderbird and it's working Okay.
    Thanks!

This could be a Mail.app preference file problem or caused by something else.
FYI - re-installing the Mail.app rarely resolves any problems with the application.
If the account is a POP type account, quit Mail first and using the Finder go to Home > Library > Mail > this POP account named folder (named by the user name and incoming mail server for the account) > Drafts.mbox.
Delete the Drafts.mbox and empty the Trash.
Launch Mail and a new Drafts.mbox will be created automatically by Mail within the account named folder when composing the next message with this account.
If this doesn't resolve the problem, try targeting the Mail.app preference file.
Quit the Mail.app first and using the Finder, go to Home > Library > Mail. Copy the Mail folder and place the copy on the Desktop for backup purposes.
Using the Finder, go to Home > Library > Preferences > com.apple.mail.plist. Move the com.apple.mail.plist file to the Desktop.
Note: Moving the com.apple.mail.plist file out of the Preferences folder will require re-entering all email account information when re-launching Mail.
The only exception to this is if you have a .Mac account which will be recreated automatically and/or any email account created as part of the original computer setup assistant.
Launch Mail and decline any prompt to import mailboxes. After re-entering all email account information, the Mail.app should rediscover the existing account named folders and mailboxes at Home > Library > Mail.
After confirming all mailboxes were successfully rediscovered, you can delete the copy of the Mail folder and old com.apple.mail.plist file from the Desktop.
Test if this resolves the problem.
To re-install a single Apple application from the 10.3 install discs without re-installing the entire OS requires using an application called Pacifist which can be downloaded at this link.
    http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/12743
If you have upgraded to 10.3.9 and your 10.3 install package includes an earlier version, after deleting and re-installing a single Apple application from the 10.3 install package using Pacifist, you need to download the 10.3.9 Combo Upgrade package and re-install 10.3.9 to get the re-installed application to the current version as of 10.3.9.

  • Computer Crashes when creating new blank disk image

I'm trying to dreacte a new blank disk image from Disk Utility, but when I select "New Blank Image", I name the disk and hit "Create"my compter crashes and requires restart. Any ideas as to why and how to fix?

Yes, iMovie '08 is more "resource intensive" than iMovie HD. (It takes a lot more RAM to provide all that nice scrubbing ability.)
I'm not sure how large the project you're burning is, but I will say that 1GB of RAM is really low for working with video. Anytime a computer starts running out of free memory, bad things start happening. Applications crash, the system appears to hang, etc. When you quit all the other applications you were running, you freed up RAM for iMovie to use.
I would suggest you bump up the RAM in your machine to at least 2GB. It's not very expensive at all. Less than $80. You can get to 4Gb of RAM for $110! I'd be willing to bet that once you've got more available memory your problem will vanish.

  • How to add default associated groups when creating new site

    Hi All,
I am trying to create a new subsite in sharepoint 2013 using CSOM (code is mentioned below). But no default groups (MEMBER, VISITOR, OWNER) are getting created in that site. When we try through UI we will got through a page "Set Up Groups
for this Site" where we can specify these details.. Is it possible to do the same (creating default groups together with the site creation) through CSOM or powershell.
    CSOM code:
    WebCreationInformation creation = new WebCreationInformation();
                creation.Url = "NewSubSite6";
                creation.Title = "NewSubSite6";
                creation.UseSamePermissionsAsParentSite = false;

  • Illustrator Crashes when creating new file and opening a file

Every time I try to create a new file, or even open an existing file Illustrator crashes. I have re-installed illustrator...no luck. I have tried running Illustrator while holding SHIFT...no luck. I am using windows 7, and have no crazy drivers that I believe need to be updated.
    Thank you for your help!
    -Patrick

Have been Googling like always after Illustrator CC crashes with these specific symptoms (Opening fine, New file of Opening existing file crashes).
All other threads had no working solution for me and the symptoms seemed little different - Opening the program and keeping it open without opening or creating a file was no problem.
This was the well-appreciated solution that did the trick for me.
Re: Illustrator CC 17.1 Crashing on New File or Open File (Win 7) works under a different user?
(In my case I think my default printer had been changed in the background by using a VPN connection this morning which I hardly use ever. Never had been thinking in that direction of course.)
    Good luck to you all.

  • Crashes when Creating New Page

I am using Contribute 4.1.0, on a MacBook Pro with 10.5.6 OS.
When I attempt to create a new page from a template, I get
the infamous Mac spinning color wheel and am forced to quit
Contribute. I have searched these forums up and down with no luck,
and my web person has no clue. Has anyone else had this issue, and
is there something I'm overlooking or missing?
    Thanks in advance.

First check whether you have updated iOS.
If so , try reset all settings under General in Settings.
    Not working  ?
Try Erase all content and Settings under Settings > General > Reset.
If none of the steps work Just try this Final them and Thou Shall Be happy Forever :
Use iTunes to restore your iOS device to factory settings
