DW CS3- Cant Connect To Remote Site

Hi
Ive encountered a very fustrating problem.
The new Dreamweaver refuses to connect to any remote sites.
It imported my site list, with FTP info, user names and
passwords...but when I try to connect, I get a big error message
telling me that my info is wrong, or my settings are wrong, or that
the remote server is unplugged, etc etc.
This happens with every site on my list, and it happens when
I try setting up the site info from scratch.
Using the same info, I can connect using Dreamweaver MX 2004,
so I know the basic info is correct.
Does anyone have a guess what's wrong here? Has there been
some fundamental change to site management Im unaware of?
Any help is much appreciated!

Send me your connection info offlist, and I'll try to get you
going.

  • Connection from remote sites (Frame Relay WAN) to AS/400 dissapears

    Hello,
We have the following problem appearing in our environment:
All connections from remote sites dissapears unexpected from AS/400. After 2-3 minutes remote users get normal connectivity again.
The environment is the the following:
Frame Relay/ATM WAN (Frame Relay on remote sites and ATM in datacenter) comes to Cisco 7204VXR router which connected to LAN switch with 10/100/1000 ports. AS/400 with Fast Ethernet interface also connected to the similar LAN switch. CEF is enabled on the router, IOS version 12.4.3a. We have ETHSTD *ALL parameter set on AS/400. Remote users uses TCP/IP and Telnet but there are a number of 5494 controllers wich uses SNA.
We got the problem for the first time after we enabled CEF on the router.
I suspect that the cause of problem is Ethernet frames of different standards due to ETHSTD *ALL, but can neither reproduce the problem nor understand why it behaves so.
    Have anybody had similar problem?
I would be very thanksfull if somebody can help me to solve it.
    Thank you in advance.
    //Mikhail Galiulin

    Hi Martin,
Cisco 7200 itself can access AS/400 as well as all other hosts in the same with AS/400 LAN. There is no any outage in communications which goes to another LAN segment via Netscreen firewall while the communication via Cisco is down. Only those hosts which connected via Cisco are experiencing the problem. I can not say where the traceroute from AS/400 stucks (there are other people who maintain the machine and they never could catch the exact moment of outage).
To turn off CEF I treat as the last option actually and unfortunatelly there is no guarantee that software upgrade will help (we have 12.4.3a now).
So first of all I'm trying to understan WHY it happens because I can not see any systematics in the problem appearance. It can happen 3 times under 2 days and then dissapear for 1-2 months...

  • Deploying unity connection at remote site with CUCM at central site

I am planning to deploy Unity connection at remote site while the CUCM is at central site only. Will appreciate of someone can shd some light on this, has anyone already deplyed same scenario , any specific requirements to take care of please ?
    Thanks in advnace,
    AB

    AB,
Yes, having your Unity Connection server at a different location than your CUCM is supported.
I cannot really help you with specifc requirements as it largely depends on exactly how you intend to deploy it and what features you intend to enable.  Clustering, Digital Networking, Unified Inbox, etc.. all have their own additional requirements the whole of which would not fit into a message board post.
However, specific bandwidth and latency requirements are listed in the "System Requirements for Cisco Unity Connection Release 8.X.   http://www.cisco.com/en/US/partner/docs/voice_ip_comm/connection/8x/requirements/8xcucsysreqs.html
The SRND and the System Requirements should get you on the  right  track.  I would encourage you to read both documents fully and  then  come back with any specific design questions you may have.

  • Problem in connecting to remote site

I have set up an FTP user in the remote server which works
perfectly fine when I click test connection. Now when I click the
remote view or upload a file or connect to remote server I get this
message -"Waiting for server" then I get this error message
"Connection to the remote host is lost.Click the Connect button to
reconnect". I have disabled my firewall too. This has been driving

    help.
    Thanx in advance.

What do you have in the Host directory field of your Remote

    information here....

  • CS3 / CS4 connection to remote/testing servers times out.

    Hello,
    I have 2 questions:
    1. Can DreamWeaver be configured to bind once for multiple ldap authentication transactions?
    2. Can DreamWeaver be configured to increase it's timeout when connecting to remote/testing servers?
    Details below ...
    ============
    Setup
Client: DW CS3/4 clients on WIN XP
    Server: Suse Linux 2.6 (SP3)
Protocol: WebDAV via apache 2.2, LDAP authentication
    Problem description
Dreamweaver Clients fail to connect to remote/testing servers during peak usage hours.
    Analysis
Connecting to the remote/testing servers requires approximately 900 database transactions to test user privileges for content, simplified as the following:
    900 x [ bind + lookup + unbind ]
During peak hours, this process can sometimes take upwards of 30 seconds to complete.  In these cases, Dreamweaver times out (at approximately 40 seconds) and then user must try the process again.
    Possibe Solutions
    a) Increase cache size in apache.
This has been done, but we have a large client base, and with 900 look-ups per user, we hit the ceiling of an acceptable cahce size.  This solution does not work for us.
    b) Change DreamWeaver authentication to only bind once.
Binding 900 times for 900 separate lookups is wasteful.  Can DreamWeaver be configured to bind once and have multiple transactions?
    [ bind + [ 900 x lookup ] + unbind ]
    c) Change DreamWeaver timeout value
Currently DreamWeaver times out on connection attempts at about 30-40 seconds.  Can DreamWeaver be configured to timeout at a different value?
    ============
    Thanks!
    Graham

Thanks for the super fast response...
Dummy me... It was the firewall on the Oracle host XP box that was the problem

  • Issue with Serial Connection between remote sites

I'll try to keep this brief.  If you need any additional information, let me know.
Basically, we have a 56K connection to one of our remote sites (it's all that's available). We recently purchased a new 2911 router and are consolidating a couple of routers into just this one.  We purchased a 56K CSU/DSU WIC to go with the new 2911 router.  This WIC is replacing a Cisco 1602 with an onboard CSU/DSU.  The remote is also a 1602.
Here is the output from the sh int Serial 0/2/0 on the new router with the WIC. I just reset the counters and started the process over and things are working great, but what's odd is that the connection will be just fine for perhaps a day and then start to go downhill.  The total output drops starts to shoot up as do the carrier transitions and interface resets, but not quite as much.
    interface Serial0/2/0
     description YANKTONSG_LAN
     ip address 192.168.134.1 255.255.255.0
     service-module 56k clock source line
     service-module 56k network-type dds
     no ip route-cache
    end
And here is the sh int Serial 0 from the remote router as well as the config for the Serial interface.
    interface Serial0
     ip address 192.168.134.2 255.255.255.0
     no ip directed-broadcast
     no ip route-cache
     service-module 56k clock source line
     service-module 56k network-type dds
I repeatedly called the provider to have them check the circuit at the remote location and that has tested out just fine. Any ideas of what I could start looking at?
    Thanks!

  • AnyConnect Client/Remote Site-to-Site connect to Remote Site-To-Site via HQ Hairpin.

I'm trying to get my Remote Sites and my Remote AnyConnect Clients to be able to communicate with each other.
    Remote ASA5505 <--> ASA5510 HQ <--> Remote ASA5505
    AnyConnect <--> ASA5510 HQ <--> Remote ASA5505
    The ASAs are running 8.3(2)
I've googled many of the Hairpin configs, and have the 'same-security-traffic permit intra-interface' command in the Config, which it is and then having the proper NAT exclusion in there. Many of the config examples seem to reference the deprecated NAT commands that do not work on 8.3(2)
    I have in the Config
    object network Network-HQ
    subnet 10.0.0.0 255.255.0.0
    object network Network-Site1
    subnet 10.1.0.0 255.255.0.0
    object network Network-Site2
    subnet 10.2.0.0 255.255.0.0
    object network Network-Site3
    subnet 10.3.0.0 255.255.0.0
    object network Network-AnyCon
    subnet 10.100.0.0 255.255.0.0
    object-group network REMOTE_NETWORK
    network-object object Network-Site1
    network-object object Network-Site2
    network-object object Network-Site3
    network-object object Network-AnyCon
    object-group network LOCAL_NETWORK
    network-object object NETWORK-HQ
    nat (inside,outside) source static LOCAL_NETWORK LOCAL_NETWORK destination static REMOTE_NETWORK REMOTE_NETWORK
    nat (outside,outside) source static REMOTE_NETWORK REMOTE_NETWORK destination static REMOTE_NETWORK REMOTE_NETWORK
    same-security-traffic permit intra-interface
I also have an Access List on the Outside Interface
    access-group outside_access_in in interface outside
So I toyed around with access-Lists too and Added the following:
    access-list outside_access_in extended permit ip object-group LOCAL_NETWORK object-group REMOTE_NETWORK
    access-list outside_access_in extended permit ip object-group REMOTE_NETWORK object-group REMOTE_NETWORK
    access-list outside_access_in extended permit ip object-group REMOTE_NETWORK object-group LOCAL_NETWORK
    Still No Love.
In the Configs that used the deprecated NAT they also mentioned that the NAT statements needed to be first in the list. I'm not sure how to order them.
    Any Suggestions would be helpful.
    Thanks!

Please remove this object from REMOTE_NETWORK
    object-group network REMOTE_NETWORK
     no network-object object Network-AnyCon
Lets say this: 10.1.0.10 is permitted to access via the tunnels to all remote-LANs via site-to-site tunnels.
Lets create a dynamic-nat, so that your remote-in clients can access remote-lans as if they are coming from HQ directly.
    object network HQ-UNUSED-IP
description: this is permited to traves to remote all sites
     network-object host 10.1.0.10
    nat (outside,outside) source dynamic Network-AnyCon HQ-UNUSED-IP destination static REMOTE_NETWORK REMOTE_NETWORK
Please remove these below lines, because tunnel bound traffic does not go via the acl filters put on outside interface.
    no access-list outside_access_in extended permit ip object-group LOCAL_NETWORK object-group REMOTE_NETWORK
    no access-list outside_access_in extended permit ip object-group REMOTE_NETWORK object-group REMOTE_NETWORK
    no access-list outside_access_in extended permit ip object-group REMOTE_NETWORK object-group LOCAL_NETWORK
    Hope this helps.

  • Connecting Multiple Remote Sites with VPN Passthrough

I have several Win2003SBS sites requiring VPN passthrough from remote clients some using the VPN Connectoid supplied with the SBS (on the RWW - "Download Connection Manager". The requirement is for an DSL modem router with at least 10 tunnels which also supports GRE. The device should support ADSL2 as a minimum and SDSL is preferred.
A more detailed diagram is attached. Access to the Web Server will be required from both the LAN and WAN sides later.
    Any suggestions please?

  • 6.3.5 upgrade to 7.2.2 cant connect over remote VPN client

The device is a PIX 525 UR with v. 7.2.2 installed over 6.3.5. I have deleted all previous VPN setups and re-installed the remote vpn and client software multiple times and the VPN times out during securing the channel and comes back with a error: 412 the local client has disconnected the session. I have been using the ASDM VPN wizard to configure the VPN and upon submitting the config I recieve a warning saying the tunnel-group does not exist but then when I exit it shows up in the tunnel group and is listed in the CLI. Also in the debug logs iget the error: 3713902 Group = Eisenhower, IP = 166.214.197.X, Removing peer from peer table failed, no match!
I would appreicate any assisance with this attached is the relevent configuration.

In this example, the server groups created are used by the policy of a VPN tunnel group to authenticate and authorize incoming users.

    AOA,
Our company has different sites located in different cities. In the main office we have developed many modules using Oracle 9i and Developer 6i and our data is highly confidential.
In all remote sites our modules are running by standalone. Now we want to connect our remote sites with our main Database.
What will be the options available to make highly secured connection between our sites and main office.
In our city different ISPs are available who can provide dedicated IP access, DSL and VPN.

  • Cisco ASA 5505 IPSec tunnel won't establish until remote site attempts to connect

I have a site to site IPSec tunnel setup and operational but periodically the remote site goes down, because of a somewhat reliable internet connection. The only way to get the tunnel to re-establish is to go to the remote site and simply issue a ping from a workstation on the remote network. We were having this same issue with a Cisco PIX 506E but decided to upgrade the hardware and see if that resolve the issue. It ran for well over a year and our assumtions was that the issue was resolved. I was looking in the direction of the security-association lifetime but if we power cycle the unit, I would expect that it would kill the SA but even after power cycling, the VPN does not come up automatically.
    Any assistance would be appreciated.

  • Connecting to an ISDN BRI on a router from a PSTN line from remote site..!!

    Friends,
I have a 1812 at HO with WIC1 BS/T Card, connected it to an ISDN BRI line. One of my critical remote location uses Leased circuit to reach my HO Router. But in case if LL goes down, some of the important PC's at the remote site should be able to dial to HO Router BRI Number using PSTN line, get connected and continue, ip address assigned from HO Router and access the application... Is any way available...

    Hi Arnab.
You need to configure dial backup through AUX port. You need to connect a normal PSTN line to a modem which in turn is connected to your AUX port. You will have to configure a chat script which you can find in the attachmnet. The attachment is a working example in one of my routers.
You also have to create an ASYNC interface. Check that in the attached file also

  • Remote site can call but home base cant

    Hello all,
This going to be a bit of a long post, so I'll ask forgiveness at the beginning and at the end.
Recently we upgraded a few remote sites form a 64 k connection up to t1's.. At the remote sites we had single line phones plugged into a vwic and at the home base we have a line going to our PBX. So far so good. the configuration allows the remote sites to dial 888 to reach the pbx and then they dial and extension to reach whoever they are trying to talk to at the home base. I added a router to the network to accomadate the new t1 wics as our home base router a 3640 was full. Since adding that router we can no longer call that remote site via the "bat phones" the odd thing is they can still call us. I am assuming that I need to add a dialer list to the new router but if i do what interface does that need to be applied to?
the remote site routers are cisco 1750's
    with vwics.
    12.x ios.
below is the dialer list as it appears in the home base router:
    dialer-list 1 protocol ip permit
    dialer-list 1 protocol ipx permit
    snmp-server engineID local xxx
    snmp-server community moraine RO
    snmp-server community MMaterials RW

    dial-peer voice 888 pots
    destination-pattern 888
    no digit-strip
    port 1/0:0
    forward-digits 0
    dial-peer voice 207 voip
    destination-pattern 207

    ip precedence 5

    dial-peer voice 209 voip

    dial-peer voice 140 voip
    destination-pattern 140
    session target ipv4:192.168.14.1

    dial-peer voice 141 voip
    destination-pattern 141
    session target ipv4:192.168.14.1

    dial-peer voice 150 voip
    destination-pattern 150
    session target ipv4:192.168.15.1
    no vad
    dial-peer voice 151 voip
    destination-pattern 151
    session target ipv4:192.168.15.1
    no vad
This is not the complete list but hopefully is enough to get the idea.
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Again sorry for the lengthy post...
    Thanks

I am not sure a dilaer list is going to fix your problem.
Did the new router replace your old router? Or are they both operating at the same time?
If you could post the working config and the new config along with the type of the new router that would help.
