DW CS3 displays div areas incorrectly

I am laying out a page that was originally done using tables (gack!) and have a nice layout I am working on. I have created three <div> areas designed to emulate what one can do in a table and Dreamweaver CS3's Design display is really off.
You can see the final page here:
http://www.clarkelandscapes.com/new/service.html
This is the way DW CS3 displays the image:
Firefox and Safari display it this way:
I cannot look at it in Internet Exploder because I design on a Mac.
Is there a "fix" to get DW CS3 to display this correctly? Can anyone with Internet Exploiter take a look at the page and verify that it does work correctly?
Thanks!

This was hard-coded -- or at least as I was laying out my template, I was 100% in Code view. When building a template, I create the style sheet, then I make the HTML
tags as empty spaces or with
so I see something.
I do not know how those extra closures happened, because I create the closes with "</ " where Dreamweaver just adds the rest.
I did use a Project Seven plugin, but I can't imagine that would have caused this.

  • DW CS5 displays Divs in incorrect postions except in live view. Page works OK live.

    Hi Folks,
    I have looked for solutions to this issue but most threads I've picked up on suggest something like..."That's Dreamweaver for you...if it works on line why worry...?
    I'm not sure I buy that line of thought.
    Anyway the page I'm asking about is here http://www.mybrazil.nl style sheet is brazil_main.css
    The problem area is the four piece mask around the slideshow bottom right corner. In design view the bottom three slices are shunted way off to the left. I've tried positioning them with margins and now in pixels in the positioning dialogue.
    All was Hunky Dory when the mask was a single transparent .png except for the fact that although I could see the images OK, my mouse cursor couldn't see the preview buttons at the bottom of the screen (transparent doesn't mean it isn't there it appears...or rather it doesn't?).
    BTW I know the pics have an Egyptian feel. I'm waiting for the client/brother to come up with some pics and some words.
    Could it perhaps have something to do with the slide show software? I've had this problem in the past with this sort of media.
    Anyway thats all for now, any thoughts most welcome.
    Off to the pub, see you all later.
    Cheers,
    Gene Stevo.

  • Cannot open the file because the open options are incorrect

    I'm trying to iterate through a folder of images, open each one of them, duplicate them into another photoshop file and close the individual image. This code works great on a PC (Photoshop CS3), but when I run it on our macs (Photoshop CS3) I will receive the following error on random images. "Error: Cannot open the file because the open options are incorrect" Does anyone know how to solve this problem? I've read about possibly setting the OpenDocumentType but have not seen an example anywhere. This error will sometimes occur after loading in one image or sometimes after 20 images. Sometimes I run it on the same directory multiple times all with various points of error. Sometimes every images is loaded. Any help would be much appreciated. Sample code is below.
    i //CODE BELOW
    i //allows the user to select an folder full of images
    b var inputFolder = Folder.selectDialog("Select a folder that contains the files you want added as layers.");
    b var fileList = inputFolder.getFiles();
    b var tempRef = app.open(tempName);
    b for (var i = 0; i < fileList.length; i++)
    b {
    b var tempName = fileList[i];
    b var tempStringName = fileList[i].toString();
    i //used to check if the file in the directory does in fact contain the .png extension
    b var reducedFileName = tempStringName.substring(tempStringName.lastIndexOf("/")+1);
    b if(reducedFileName.substring((reducedFileName.length - 4),(reducedFileName.length)) != ".png" || reducedFileName.substring((reducedFileName.length - 4),(reducedFileName.length)) != ".PNG")
    b {
    i //setting reference to opened docuement PNG file
    i //This seems to be the section throwing the error. Surrounding with Try Catch revealse the Error noted above
    b var tempRef = app.open(tempName);
    i //setting a tempName variable to the PNG file name
    b var tempName = app.activeDocument.name;
    i //setting reference to the active layer in the file
    b var graphicLayer = app.activeDocument.activeLayer;
    i //setting the PNG layer name to the PNG file
    b tempRef.layers[0].name = tempName;
    i //duplicating the image onto the opened Photoshop file
    b tempRef.layers[0].duplicate(backRef);
    i //closing the original PNG file without saving
    b tempRef.close(SaveOptions.DONOTSAVECHANGES);
    b }
    b }

    It looks as if the folder contains non Photoshop files, one way around the problem would be to change
    var fileList = inputFolder.getFiles();
    To specify the file types you want to process IE:
    var fileList = inputFolder.getFiles(/\.(jpg|tif|psd|crw|cr2|nef|dcr|dc2|raw)$/i);

  • [Bug Report] CR4E V2: Exported PDF displays Japanese characters incorrectly

    We now plan to transport a legacy application from VB to Java with Crystal Reports for Eclipse. It is required to export report as PDF file, but result PDFs display Japanese characters incorrectly for field with some mostly used Japanese fonts (MS Gothic & Mincho).
    Here is our sample Crystal Reports project:   [download related resources here|http://sites.google.com/site/cr4eexportpdf/example-of-cr4e-export-pdf]
    1. PDFExportSample.rpt located under ..\src contains fields with different Japanese fonts.
    2. Run SampleViewerFrameClient#main(..) to open a Java Report Viewer:
        a) At zoom rate 100%, everything is ok.
        b) Change zoom rate to 200% or 50%, some fields in Japanese font collapse.
        c) Export to PDF file,
             * Fonts "MS Gothic & Mincho": both ASCII & Japanese characters failed.
             * Fonts "Meiryo & HGKyokashotai": everything works well.
             * Open PDF properties, you will see all fonts are embedded with built-in encoding.
             * Interest to note that copy collapsed Japanese characters from Acrobat Reader, then
               paste them into a Notepad window, Notepad will show the correct Japanese characters anyway.
               It seems PDF export in CR4E mistaking to choose right typeface for Japanese characters
               from some TTF file.
    3. Open PDFExportSample.rpt in Crystal Report 2008 Designer (trial version), and export it as PDF.
        The result PDF displays both ASCII & Japanese characters without any problem.
    Test environment as below:
    * Windows XP Professional SP3 (Japanese) with MS Office which including extra fonts (i.e. HGKyokashotai)
    * Font version: MS Gothic, Mincho, Meiryo, all in Version 5.0
        You can download MS Meiryo from Microsoft's Site:
        http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=F7D758D2-46FF-4C55-92F2-69AE834AC928&displaylang=en)
    * Eclipse 3.5.2
    * Crystal Reports for Eclipse, V2, 12.2.207.r916
    Can this problem be fixed? If yes how long will it take to release a patch?
    We really looking forward to a solution before abandoning CR4E.
    Thanks for any reply.

    I have created a [simple PDF file|http://sites.google.com/site/cr4eexportpdf/inside-the-pdf/simple.pdf?attredirects=0&d=1] exported from CR4E. It is expected to display "漢字" (or in unicode as "\u6F22\u5B57"), but instead being rendered in different ones of "殱塸" (in unicode as "\u6BB1\u5878").
    Look inside into this simple PDF file (you can just open it with your favorite text editor), here is its page content:
    8 0 obj
    <</Filter [ /FlateDecode ] /Length 120>>
    stream ... endstream
    endobj
    Decode this stream, we get:

    The CMap object after decoded is:

    endcmap CMapName currentdict /CMap defineresource pop end end
    endobj
    I can write out the embedded TrueType font subset (= "14 0 obj") to a file named "[embedded.ttc|http://sites.google.com/site/cr4eexportpdf/inside-the-pdf/embedded.ttf?attredirects=0&d=1]", which is really a tiny TrueType font file containing only the wrong typefaces for "漢" & "字". It seems everything OK except CR4E failed to choose right typefaces from the TrueType file (msgothic.ttc).
    Is it any help? I am looking forward to any solution.

  • AP divs are not showing in AP Elements window

    The AP divs are in the dreamweaver doc and show up under css etc. but when I click into AP Elements to modify the behaviors none of the AP divs show.

    There is a lot I don't know about Dreamweaver and am willing to learn another way to create hide and show or drag and drop.
    Use jQuery to hide/show divs.
    http://jsfiddle.net/MdSTW/12/
    DW is not a drag & drop app like Muse or Photoshop.  With DW, you  need a good grasp of HTML & CSS code. JavaScript is also very helpful to know.
    APdivs are rarely if ever required. 98% of all layouts are  created with default CSS positioning (none or static).  When you introduce APDivs, you remove content from the normal document flow which, if used incorrectly, can have dire consequences and even wreck the usability of your site.
    My advice is stay away from APDivs.  Learn to align elements with CSS floats, margins, and padding.

    Hi
    Try with QA33 you may have display authorization,  or check in MB51 on the base of material and batch you can find the lot number generated, then go to QA03 and check the result, if you want to validate the characters check with the inspection plan, the characters entered in the inspection plan and the characters in the concerned certificate profile.

  • How does DW 8 display divs in "design Mode"?

    Hi everyone,
    Question: How does DW 8 display divs in the design window?
    I ask this because I am trying to create a website entirely
    in divs (with divs inside divs), and when I see certain things in
    my "design mode", some divs show up directly underneath. Example: I
    have #cellA and #cellB. I want #cellA right next to #cellB inside
    of a #container. Instead, when I try to insert a Div tag (after end
    of tag) it places it right underneath it. So #cellB is right under
    #cellA, when all I want is for them to be side by side.
    Here is the link:
    http://www.helenbwilson.com/helen-css-test-01.html
    Is there a screen mode that I am not aware of?
    How do you guys look at how your divs are being displayed in
    the "design view" of dreamweaver.
    I have also just gone into the code and tried placing my divs
    there, but to no avail..
    Anyone have the same problem?
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks
    -psypent

    If you want divs side-by-side, you must float them.

  • IMAGES - In a search of me, images of me are incorrect. Can they be removed? Or just show photos that actually are me or from my website.

    When I am in Mozilla Foxfire and do a search, I get transferred to Yahoo. Then I do a search for myself to see what comes up. Where it says "images" there are images of me that are incorrect. How do I get rid of these images? I would like to have actual photos of me, which are on web sites. Or photos from my own web site.

    Yahoo's search results actually are sourced from Bing. If you go to Bing search directly and run your search there, you can provide Feedback on the results.
    * General search page: http://www.bing.com/search - after getting your results, scroll to the bottom of the page to find the Feedback link
    * Image search page: http://www.bing.com/images/search - after generating your results, check for a button attached to the lower right of the window frame

  • I am trying to log onto a Mac Mini I haven't used in awhile and I forgot the password. I am trying to reset the password with my apple ID but the computer keeps saying the Apple ID and the password are incorrect whenever I know they are.

    I am trying to log onto a Mac Mini I haven't used in awhile and I forgot the password. I am trying to reset the password with my apple ID but the computer keeps saying the Apple ID and the password are incorrect whenever I know they are, as I am using the exact same ID right now.
    I have switched my password in the past, so my theory is my mac mini thinks that my password has not changed and it will not update because The Wi-Fi password has also changed so it cannot connect to any servers...Does that sound like I am on the right track?
    Is there a way to update my Wi-Fi password  (saved into the computer) without logging on?

    If the user account is associated with an Apple ID, and you know the Apple ID password, then maybe the Apple ID can be used to reset your user account password.
    Otherwise, boot into Recovery by holding down the key combination command-R at startup. Release the keys when you see a gray screen with a spinning dial.
    When the OS X Utilities screen appears, select
    Utilities ▹ Terminal
    from the menu bar.
    In the Terminal window, type this:
    resetpassword
    That's one word with no spaces. Then press return. A Reset Password window opens.
    Select your boot volume if not already selected.
    Select your username from the menu labeled Select the user account if not already selected.
    Follow the prompts to reset the password. It's safest to choose a password that includes only the characters a-z, A-Z, and 0-9.
    Select
     ▹ Restart
    from the menu bar.
    You should now be able to log in with the new password, but your Keychain will be reset (empty.) If you've forgotten the Keychain password (which is ordinarily the same as your login password), there's no way to recover it.

  • Using two external displays that are NOT mirrored

    i have a MBP early 2008, meaning the external display port is a dual DVI-I port. I have have two external displays, both samsung syncmaster xl2370 with native resolution 1920x1080. i have a dual dvi-i to vga splitter. when i connect both displays, they mirror one another, which is not what i want. rather, i want to have my MBP display, and two external displays that are not mirror images of one another. according to apple, if i buy a dual dvi-i to dvi splitter, i get the same effect. i've read on various forums about hardware alternatives, like buying a usb to dvi or usb to vga adapter, with some reasonable results (except a bit of sluggishness). the best one seems to be the diamond: http://www.diamondmm.com/BVU195.php
    it mostly gets good reviews, but is sluggish. does any know of any better options?
    many thanks, jovo

    Welcome to Apple Discussions!
    USB is slow partly because it is processor and driver dependent. Best to go with a straight video solution, such as Matroxes products like this one: http://www.matrox.com/graphics/en/products/gxm/dh2go/

    Any ideas what I'm doing wrong? I'd love some help.
    I'll try to post a screen shot.

    Hi Kevin,
    Chances are there is something in the way you've set up the formula that is giving you the unexpected result.
    On the Mac you can post a screenshot this way:
    1. shift-command-4
    2. holding mouse down drag crosshairs across the area you want to capture, and release
    3. a file named something like Screen Shot 2014-01-29 at 7.27.28 AM.png will be placed on desktop
    4. in editor here click camera icon, 'Choose File', navigate to the file on the Desktop and click, click 'Choose', click 'Insert Image'
    Sometimes the "camera" doesn't work the first time, so you just redo the steps in 4.
    On the iPad you cannot post a screenshot using the built-in Safari Mobile.  But you can post an image from your camera roll (including screenshots placed there in the usual way when you hold down the power on-off button and click the home button) using a third-party browser such as Mercury (just set User Agent to 'Safari(Mac OSX)'. )
