DW-CS3 No internet connection was found?

Hey guys
I just installed my old copy of Dreamweaver CS3 on my Win8.1 OS. When I selected the Chck for updates option I get the following error from 'Adobe Updater':
"No internet connection was found. Please check your Internet settings or firewall."
This woud be perfectly understandable if I didn't have FIOS, but I do so what is causing the issue from this product?
Can someone help me resolve this issue?
Thanks in advance . . .

  • No Internet connection was found. Please check your Internet settings or firewall.

When I try to update I get this message:
"No Internet connection was found. Please check your Internet settings or firewall."
    and porgram won't update.
I tried "fixes" offered on ADOBE website to no avail.
Anyone know how to fix this ?
1 minute of silence for that awesome forum that ADOBE was....sniff sniff

ADOBE  tech "support" isn't of much use in this. They suggest me to manually update. I know CS3 is fixed update not requiring more download after 3.2, but my updater used to run fine and now it doesn't on a freesh computer install. I'd like to fix this cause this is an indicator that something is wrong on my computer.
The only advice I got after 15-20 minutes was to check permissions on my computer, that this might be cause of it.
I put permission on my firewall to all adobe program I could find on my computer, turned off UAC doesn't work; tried firewall + spyware + antivirus to zero protection = doesn't work either.
I've read that been plugged into a router on a 2 computers network can cause problem. How ? I know Adobe Updater doesn't support proxy server.
    http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/331/331931.html
I tried puggin directly into modem and didn't change anything.  I think maybe that my main computer might be blocking or filtering my internet connection or a setup in it: I don't know networking setup at all.
Maybe it's windows vista on my computer that has updated to something that would block my adobe updater.
    Any suggestion ?
    Thank you.

  • "No Internet connection was found" when clicking on "updates"

I first downloaded the 30 trial version of Dreamweaver CS3,
after about 20 days I purchased the upgrade from DW8. I installed
the license. After I installed the license I wanted to make sure
that I was running with all patches installed, so I clicked on Help
-> Updates. After clicking the Updates option I receive a
message stating, " No Internet connection was found." I do not have
a firewall enabled on the system. I am able to connect to the
internet fine. I have no problems running Windows Updater and other
problem updaters. I do not know why I receive this error.
    Help Please.
    Rick

    >make sure that I was running with all patches
    > installed, so I clicked on Help -> Updates.
I click on DWCS3 Help - DW Help and it tells me the
help wasn't installed, please reinstall DW - so you have
a better version than me. It was my understanding that
Adobe pushes the updates for all adobe programs

  • What happened is that my internet connection was not good so i downloaded .ipsw file from a torrent but now i cannot get it to update my ipad because ios 5.0.1 is out i tried copying files to ipad updates in the itunes folder but no help

what happened is that my internet connection was not good so i downloaded .ipsw file from a torrent but now i cannot get it to update my ipad because ios 5.0.1 is out i tried copying files to ipad updates in the itunes folder but it still asked me to download a 700mb software update
    plz help

If you downloaded the correct version for your iPad model (and the different models have different ipsw files), then you should be able to navigate to it in iTunes by pressing and holding the shift key on Windows (command key on Mac) when clicking the Check For Updates button.

In "purchases" while in my App Store, Mountain Lion says, "an error has occurred" and the green 'download' button is grey and I cannot re-start the download. I was abroad when I purchased this app and during download, my internet connection was lost. At the time, Apple was still offering the e-chat, so I did that and the man was very helpful and it was a quick fix, so my download button turned green again, and I was able to begin the download. BUT during the download, I was kicked offline once again, and I decided to wait until I was back in the USA. I will go in to an Apple store and ask assistance, but if there is something I am missing, I'd like to try that first. Thanks in advance for any advice.

Delete and re-download the Dropbox app. You will have to sign in again and adjust app settings.

    Additional things to try.
Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
Another thing to try - Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.

  • Indesign CS3 error: "Network connection was lost..."

    Hi
Anybody out there experiencing this error message when working in Indesign on Snow leopard? "Network connection was lost..."
Funny thing is the machine is not connected to a server or internet.
The indesign doc had been fine, saved it, closed it, reopened it and exported a pdf. When I went to re-open it, the error came.
Now, I read online that there have been issues with renaming docs, or folders, possibly with relocating them. Someone else suggested it may be a registry problem.
This problem is NOT fixed by trashing preferences or by repairing permissions or disk.
    Thanks!

    Hello Studio Guy,
I was just searching the forums to see if anyone else was experiencing the 'network connection was lost' issue from InDesign CS3 and came across your note.
Did you manage to find a solution for this?
We work on a network on PCs using Vista and we are getting this error message regularly and have no idea why.
Like you say this problem is NOT fixed by trashing preferences or by repairing permissions or disk.
    Did you find a solution?
    cheers,
    A

  • Deactivate CS3 no internet connection

    Hi All
I have photoshop CS3 on an old computer.  The computer’s keys have frozen and I cannot access any form of internet.  I have tried to disable it so I can reactivate it on my current computer but internet access is required to fully deactivate.  Is there a way?  Can I write to Adobe with my serial number or some other way to deactivate as this computer is so near death and PS3 is the only thing of value left on the computer.  Any help greatly appreciated.
    Take care
    Small_man

    Hi Chris
Thanks for the reply.  Your first suggestion sounds like a plan!!!  How would I deactivate the old version from the new computer?  Whenever I start the deactivation process it is from within CS3 on the old computer, it then asks for internet connection.  Intuitively I thought this had to be initiated from the existing version (old computer) but I could be wrong.
I guess failing this I could ring Adobe and get them to do it manually remove it from the old computer but I have visions of being kicked from department to department and being on hold forever (sorry Adobe I don't have a great deal of faith in the bureaucratic machine of larger organisations).
    Thanks again Chris

    Hey tiger.jor,
I would first check and see if the gift card's balance has been applied to your account:
Tap the iTunes Store, App Store, or iBooks.
Scroll to the bottom of the Featured tab.
Sign in with your Apple ID.
If you have a credit balance, you'll see it below your Apple ID.

    Hello Tatiana,
It sounds like you're not able to access the Internet on your wife's iPad using Wi-Fi.  I found a couple of resources that will help troubleshoot Wi-Fi issues on the iPhone:
