DW CS3 Trial Installation ISSUE!!

I've been trying for about a week to install this trial
version on my work computer - we're switching from GoLive and want
to make sure that this is the right thing for us. I have Windows XP
Professional version 2002 with Service Pack 2. I have
plenty of space. The download process seems to go fine, and
when I go to install, the extraction process appears to come off
with out a hitch. But when the actual installation occurs, it won't
work. Every single time I do it, I get an error at the finish,
saying 3 things:
-Successfully installed: 1 component(s):
Shared components
-Errors: 2 component(s):
Adobe Dreamweaver CS3 - component install failed
Shared Components - component install failed.
2 questions:
1) Why is the dang thing contradicting itself? It tells me
that the shared components were both installed successfully and
that the install failed. Uh. So which is it? I can see Bridge, etc.
in my program files, so I assume it installed ok. And yet this
tells me that the install failed.
2) What in the world am I doing wrong??? One of the tech guys
here has been trying to install it as well (on my machine) and he
has been equally unsuccessful. He DID manage to install it on his
machine fine though - with AutoCad running and everything. Our
network admin said that my machine is pretty new, so there
shouldn't be any problems with it.
Any ideas...???

I´ve got exactly the same answer at the end of the
installation process. I´ve tried several times and cannot have
a sucessful installation. I have Windows XP sp2 plenty of space too
(more than 100GB of disk space and 2GB of RAM) what´s the
problem?
Thank you

  • Flash CS5.5. Trial Installation Issue

Hi, wonder if anyone can help on this. Live Chat just told me they don't support CS5.5 and to go to the Forum for help. I downloaded a trial version of Flash Professional CS5.5 from http://prodesigntools.com/adobe-cs5-5-direct-download-links.html. Unpacked and clicked the Set-up icon and a pop-up window tells me: The Installer failed to initialize, probably due to a missing file. I checked my installation in Adobe Support Advisor and it reported no issues. I use XP. Can anyone please point me in teh right direction?

    Hi,
CS5.5 should be still supported by product related "How-to" and also "Installation", "Activation" and "Licensing Issues".
You can contact customer support in your region by visiting the link: http://www.adobe.com/company/contact.html . You can locate the phone numbers of Adobe Customer Care on this page. You can also select the country and language according to your geography from the bottom of this page.

  • Flash CS3 trial installation failure when Flash 8 Pro installed

I am trying to install the trial version of Flash CS3 on my
    PC.
The installation fails to install Flash CS3 or Shared
Components. I currently have a fully licensed copy of Flash 8
Professional installed on the same PC. Is there some reason I can't
    do this?
I am trying to see if we want to upgrade to CS3 by checking
out the improvements/features etc. Sure, I could go ahead and spend
the $200 but we may not need the improvements.
Presumably there would be no problem upgrading to CS3 and
that the problem is caused by the fact I am trying to install a
full version trial rather than an upgrade.
Can anybody confirm that this is the case?
One of the things I wanted to test with CS3 is the
possibility of loading a Flex .swf into a Flash shell to be able to
run as an executable. We are not currently in the market for AIR
which will allow that. We are just trying to add the ability to run
    our code as a stand-alone.
    Any help/comments appreciated.
    TIA
    Colin

Certain components install with no problem. Adobe Bridge CS3,
Adobe Device Central CS3, Adobe ExtendScript Toolkit 2 and Adobe
Flash CS3 Video Encoder are installed. But Flash itself and the
    Shared Components are not installed.
The problem with AIR is that I would need CS3 installed to
use it. So I can't check that out yet either :-(

CS3 will install in an Adobe Folder, so, no conflict.
    2) AIR is free, so not being in the market makes no sense. It
is an 'extension' to Flash CS3 or Flex or Dreamweaver, that can be
    downloaded.

  • CS3 upgrade - installation issues

    Hello there,
I recently purchased a second hand copy of Adobe CS2 Standard with a CS3 upgrade.
Filled in a transfer of licence that went through.
Anyway I was advised to install CS2 first before the CS3 so I did this but when I went to install CS3, I faced this problem:
    http://dl.dropbox.com/u/627206/Picture%208.png
It will only allow me to tick the install Adobe 8. The rest shows up as 'already installed.'
I have tried uninstalling all the adobe products, using app cleaner and installing on the CS3.
    But still no luck.
Called Adobe support but they said they no longer support CS3.
    Grr.
Anyway, any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Hi, thank you for your quick response!
I tried that several times but still not working...
I am working in CS2 for now but when I open any illustrator files I created in CS3, it corrupts it.
    Scary stuff!
    Pleaaaase help!

  • Dreamweaver CS3  trial version installation

Not able to install dreamweaver CS3 trial version in Windows
XP. Is there any compatibility issue is there?

    Sorry for late reply.
    The error message was:
A problem was encountered while trying to load the trial
    period for Adobe Dreamweaver CS3.
Click Quit to see if restarting your computer or reinstalling
the software fixes the problem. Otherwise click Continue to display
a screen where you can enter a valid serial number to begin using
    the product without trial.
and one more correction my PC has Windows Vista. So is there

  • Can't uninstall InDesign CS3 trial version

Trying to install CS3 Suite but window says InDesign is already installed. All other programs in Suite install and work fine. No option to install or remove InDesign. Tried dumping InD into trash. Still says program is already installed. Please help. Thanks

I had the same issue. Removed my trial version and still couldn't get CS3 to install InDesign. It kept saying "already installed" and wouldn't even give me the option to uninstall. I trashed my trial installer long ago, but I did some snooping and found that adobe stashes the installer files in your applications support folder. So before you run a CS3clean script, try this easy alternative:
OSX (or whatever your root folder is called) > Library > Application Support > Adobe>Installers> ...now look for the InDesign installer file.
Make sure you're at your in the "Library" folder on your mac's root folder, and not your user folder. The installer files are all letters and numbers, so you'll have to look inside each folder to find the InDesign installer. You'll know it by the purple icon. (You'll probably also see a folder with a CS3 icon and folders for any other stand alone Adobe products in there, too.)
So double click on the InDesign icon and it will take you to the install/uninstall/re-install options for InDesign only. Follow the prompts and viola! It's gone. Now go back to your CS3 disk/download and install the InDesign that came with CS3 and all will be well.

  • CS3 'freezed' installation problem on Windows Vista Home Premium.

Hi! I searched everywhere for answer that installation of my PS CS3 is freezed in moment on the screen.
I installed Acrobat Reader, Dreamweaver cs3 only. Both in English language.
I tried to uninstall, then install, using cs3clean, but it`s nothing change in my situation. Even I tried to copy whole content of my cs3 installation disk to hard drive.
Why installation is freezed ? The screen:
    http://img237.imageshack.us/img237/7184/cs3problemja8.jpg
Ps. I`ve got Vista Home Premium.
    Thanks, best regards!
Ps2. Sorry for my english :)

    Kasprzak,
How long did you allow it to sit like this? Only reason that I ask is that I recently did an install on my laptop, and the DVD drive was EIDE and it took probably 20 mins. to get through each disc.
For installation issues, Adobe offers free tech support. Check your documentation for the toll-free phone number in your country, or region.

  • Can't get rid of Flash CS3 Trial !

I did a search first, no real solutions in prior posts that I
could see. Searched the rest of Adobe too.. no solutions found that
    apply.
In January I downloaded and installed the Flash CS3 Trial.
I'm not going to buy it, so now that the trial has expired, I want
it OFF my machine. I ran it thru the usual Add/Remove Programs.
Well, my machine rebooted (I was doing something else at the time
and never did see any prompts to reboot from the installer
program), but when it came back up the Flash CS3 trial
was still there ! So, I tried the add/remove again - only
this time the only thing it would uninstall are the Flash Player
and the Flash Player 9 ActiveX component ! NO choice to get rid of
    the actual program.
What do I have to do to get this program OFF my hard drive ?
There's no other uninstall program, the add/remove programs is
useless, and the only thing even close for getting rid of it was
some CS3clean script - which was apparently meant for deleting the
    early BETA versions.
How can Adobe NOT supply an uninstall mechanism other than
add/remove programs - most other software I've ever used does
    !!

Thanks, wasn't sure about that. It's not a problem, Flash CS3
is the ONLY CS3 product on my machine. I have Studio 8 currently
installed, and CS2 Suite too, so hopefully that won't be trashed.

  • Photoshop CS4 Trial  installation asking for disc again and again

I had to uninstall my Creative Suite CS3 because of licensing problems. Then I could not reinstall it on Vista Home Premium SP2 ("unsupported OS").
Now, as long as I am waiting for Adobe to respond to my case, I tried to install CS4 Trial versions of PS and DW, so I can go on working.
    But:
Whether I install them from a HDD or from a CD/DVD, it always asks me to insert the disc again into the related drive. Of course it is already in - installation has to be aborted.
I am very hesitant to purchase the CS4 upgrade, since it seems that after their huge hassle with the CS3 suite they still haven't their product installation problems fixed.
    Anybody had fixed this?
    Thanks
    Matt

    Hi dec9 and the_wine_snob,
Have tried all these too, and went a bit further with copying the folder to the desktop, but it also ended with a fatal.
Since the origin of my trouble is the endless hassle with my CS3 Suite installation, I ordered a CS4 Premium Web Trial and see if that installs.
Don't want to risk paying for another uninstallable product.
Before I install that, I will:
    - uninstall all Adobe products
    - including all flash versions that might still be lingering around
    - run the CS3 cleaner
    - clean and defrag the drive
    - brush my teeth
    -... anything else?
    Thanks

  • Mac OSX: Flash CS3 Font Install Issues

    Hi,
I have a Mac Powerbook G4 with OS X installed and Adobe CS3.
I've installed a font. The font works in Photoshop and Illustrator
but not in Flash CS3. Why? I've put the font in the Library/Fonts
folder and the User/Fonts folder and it still doesn't show up in
Flash. Apparently this is a problem for a number of people see
    another forum here:
    MAC
OSX: Flash CS3 Font Install Issues Forum
Please let me know what to do to fix this. I need to be able
to work with the font in all three applications Flash, Photoshop
    and Illustrator.

    Hi davidd61713525,
Sorry for not getting back to you sooner.
Unfortunately, it looks like something is wrong with the file system and the installer can't see the root drive to install to.  A Google search returns numerous results affecting various products and the recurring theme is that something is wrong with the disk.  There are many recommendations from various sources, but nothing definitive.
Here's a similar thread over on the Apple forums:
Broken Installer Permissions | Apple Support Communities
    And a similar older one:
    http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=1203509
I would try the following options:
Try using the PKG installer. This is used Mac SysAdmins to install Flash Player within their organization and uses a slightly different installer path, which may or may not work.
Some people have had success with disk and permissions repair some have not.  You can try running a disk and permissions repair.  After the disk and permissions repair is complete, reboot the system and try to install again using either the online installer (get.adobe.com/flashplayer) or the offline installer, posted at the bottom of the Installation problems | Flash Player | Mac page in the ‘Still having problems’ section.
If these options do not work, I'd reach out to Apple support to see if they have a suggestion.  If you do find a resolution to this, please let me know.  I'll be happy to share it with people that encounter the problem in the future.

  • DW CS3 trial

I wanted to see if CS3 would run on my new notebook Core Duo
2 with Vista Home Premium? Min requirements say yes. I currently
have DW MX on it as well as Expression Web.(I liked the way EW
handled CSS but the crashes in the middle of a code session is
annoying) The CSS features on DW CS3 seem to me the ticket and I
wanted to try it out on the new computer. Downloaded the DW CS3
trial and ran setup several times but all I get is "there seems to
be a problem with your trial, try reloading" error msg when I try
to run it. After an hour of frustration I called Adobe and was told
by the "technical support person" that DW CS3 is only compatable
with XP and Vista business.??? Anyone know if this is true? I don't
think so and believe the problem may some kind of wierd
compatibility issue with MS EW??? Would like to know before I pony
    up for the upgrade.

It seems to have solved the problem for several Photoshop
