DW CS3 won't work on Vista Business

Hi, I have Vista Business SP1 on an Acer 5720 laptop, all
bang up to date and DW CS3 installed. DW refuses to open - it gets
to "initializing files" on the splash and then hangs. Have
reinstalled to no avail.

Oracle 10g Client not working from Vista Business

Hi,
I have installed Oracle 10g Rel2 DB on my desktop (OS Vista Ultimate X64 bit) and try to connect from my new laptop (OS Vista business) after installing the client software which does not work, whereas I am able to connect to same database from my other laptop using Windows XP. The tnsnames.ora files on both laptops have the same contents. Moreover, the SQL Plus is also not working on the vista laptop, I mean when I try to login the window closes down itself it doesn't stay open even to give any error message. . . Any ideas would be a great help . . .thx

Did you install the Vista specific Oracle client?

Volume button not working with Vista Business

Anybody knows what Toshiba Software should i install to be able to use the volume button in Vista Business? I have a Qosmio G20-102. Thank you.

Are you not able change the sound volume level in Vista???
The problem is that only some single Vista drivers were published for Qosmio G20 and not all functions can be used.

One hint; some of the items of Toshiba Value added package for the G30 can be installed on G20.
Install only the checked items. In other way you will have conflicts with windows mobility center.

USB 3.0 won't work in Vista 32 bit.

I have an MSI Z77A-GD65 motherboard in a system that dual boots into either Win 7 64bit or Vista 32bit. None of the USB 3.0 ports work in Vista, but they work in W7. I assumed that this was a driver problem, but I cannot find any USB 3.0 drivers for Vista. I downloaded the W7 32 bit drivers, but when I tried to install them I got an error message that my OS was not supported.
Can anyone help?

That's an issue that Win Vista is not really supported by anything since it's very bad OS (sorry I am being honest). The only place you might find correct USB drivers is MSI themself as I couldn't find the right ones:

Video IPod & IPod Nano won't work on Vista 64-bit system

I recently updated my OS to Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit system on my Intel Pentium Core 2 Quad PC. Somehow, I have a problem using my Video Ipod & Ipod Nano. After downloading the latest Itune+Quicktime & plugging in the USB cord connecting my IPods, i got this blue screen & different error message. When I reboot my PC, it won't run my OS unless I unplugged my Ipods. I tried istalling the old IPod software that comes with the IPod without any luck. Any idea on what's causing this problem? Are there any patch for Vista 64-bit that make the OS work with IPod?

I’ve got the new version of Itunes (7.6.1) but I still get the error where it tells me to download and install a 64-bit version of Itunes. This is just ridiculous!!! I bought my IPOD touch before Christmas and i still haven’t been able to use it!
I've uninstalled and installed itunes and all that rubbish about 5-6 times now, i've deleted everything to do with Apple from my machine and also nearly killed my machine because i messed around with the registry (that's my fault :P)
NOTE: I used IE 64-bit version to download the installer.
Anyone have a solution to the problem?

Video in CS3 won't work

there!
Can anyone please help.

Bad recommendation. You will now have the "Click to activate"
prompt in IE.
It would be much better to just upload the Scripts folder....

Onlocation CS3 won't install on Vista 64

i have ppcs3. it came with encore and onlocation.
when i try to open onlocation it tells me that the program has stopped working.

Well I have same problem. I know photoshop has never been the most user friendly bit of software but what good is it if you can't install it?
The dialog with the progress bar appears for about 5 seconds and then absolutly nothing more. I am the laptop's admin. It had the majority of it's 320GB HD available. 4GB of memory and a very good display.
I certainly won't be paying good money for something that won't install on a brand new machine.
The most annoying thing about the whole thing is there isn't even an error message to indicate why the process was aborted.

My adobe illustrator CS3 won't work with OS X Yosemite

after installing OS X Yosemite software upgrade my Adobe Illustrator CS3 will not open with the ability to use the tools, only as a Read only file. I was told to install JavaForOSX2014-001 but that has not helped.

Yes I am having the same exact issue. CS6 works fine except for InDesign. I have used the Java Legacy Updater with no help to the scenario. Just bounces up/down and then gives me this nice little error message, which I get repeatedly:

CS3 Won't Work

I have installed -successfully - CS3 on my HP m9500y. During installation the disk checks system (ok) and Installation (ok).
I am not asked to register during the process. I try to open the program from the program menu in my start button. It seems to open with a quick flash of something colorful, then goes to a dark grey screen, with the menu bar at the top, and a neverending hour glass. I wait, and nothing changes. I try to click the Fine menu, and the screen changes to a lighter grey and at the top where the program name is located it says Adobe Photoshop CS3 not responding. I have uninstalled and tried to reinstall several times. At one point someone mailed me a photo, it had the Ahotoshop Icon, and when I tried open it, the registration came up. So I registered, thinking hurrah it is going to work, but to no avail. I am frustrated with this waste of money, that my organization can not afford, and would not consider upgrading to another version, as it looks like people are having problems with the newer programs as well. Please help.

Script for CS3 won't work in CS2

Hello all,
I am new to scripting and trying to get a script written for CS3 to work in CS2. The script was given to me a participant in the InDesign forum. At any rate, here is the script:

I get an error messsage that says
error #19
error string "bad argument move"

As i said I am new to scripting and have been perusing the scripting manual but cannot gather what my error was, and I am trying to meet a deadline.

Ok, me again.
I got it working - well, it moves the text boxes I select - but for some reason the Y variable isn't coming out correctly.
For example, if I use the coordinates 32.385, 16.231 in a script, it moves it to the correct spot on the X axis, but the coordinate for the Y will be off. Further, depending on what text box I select to move, it will vary (by 1-5 mm) along the Y axis. Different text boxes go to different areas along the Y axis, but never far from the script coordinate.
So I guess there does need to be some alteration made? I'll post this in the script forum too, not really sure where it belongs with this particular problem.

ITunes 7.6.1.9 Won't work on Vista Home Premium

Need someones help. Bought an IPOD and trying to install ITunes for the first time. Appears to install correctly, but ITunes and QuickTime won't open. Immediate error states "Itunes QuitTime Player or Itunes has quit working."
I've re-installed the program several times (about 8). I've cleaned the registry, turned off all virus protection, etc. Nothing helps.
Looking for a solution before I return the IPOD.

search in the forum for the thread "iTunes 7.6 won't shut down, freezes computer". At the very end, I found the solution to disable the "bonjour" service and to disable sharing the music in iTunes.

CS3 won't work - registered and serial #

fix my CS3 now. It is showing as registered. I have the serial number. I had to do a factory reset on my MacBook Pro 2011 and adobe msg says I must uninstall and reinstall. How the hell am I supposed to reinstall physical software that is packed 3,000 miles away. Im not rich. At home helping mom through cancer, I'm unemployed, dad died of cancer I have nothing. So fix this issue. I have the serial number. Make the ******* software work.

Shuffle reset utility won't work with Vista

seriously? there has to be an answer, a download somewhere with the update for vista. finding a friend with XP or 2000 is just dumb. why did it not recognize my shuffle and suggest i use the reset utility? how dumb.
okay, mostly just venting, but i want my tunes on my shuffle so i can jog in relative comfort.

when i plug my shuffle in, i get a message saying "Itunes cannot recognize this Ipod at this time" then below it, "You must restore this Ipod with the Ipod reset utility before it can be used with Itunes. For help, click 'more information'" So I do.
i am then led to the May 2, 2008 apple download page for the Ipod reset utility, and i start the downboad, but before it installs all the way, i get an error message that says "Ipod reset utility requires that your computer is running Windows 200o or Windows XP" and then i get kicked out.
so, no, the standard reset doesn't work as itunes doesn't even recognize my shuffle.

My Sound Blaster Live 5.1 Digital won't work with Vista

First off, I wasn't sure whether to put this in the vista or Sound Blaster form so sorry if this is the wrong place.
Anyways. I got a new computer two days ago and just installed my old Sound Blaster li've 5. Digital (model SB0220) card into the new desktop. Vista, the operating system I'm using now tried to find the drivers but failed. Then I tried looking them up on the creative site with the drop down lists but it didn't pull up anything either.
I plan on buying an m-audio 2496 sound card soon but for now I would like to get back to recording and the Sound Blaster card is much better than the stock motherboard audio setup.
If anyone knows of any drivers for this card it would be extremely helpful.

Well its not that bad really. sound blaster cards are not made for recording audio and so I was going to get the m-audio 2496 card anyways.
I'm just waiting for drivers on that which are supposed to come some time in the 2nd half of 2007.
