[DW CS4] How to search inside the .htaccess files?

Hi,
In Dreamweaver CS4, when I open an .htaccess file, and search for text "Inside Current Document", Dreamweaver finds and replaces them, no problem.
But when I apply same search to a folder or whole site, Dreamweaver cannot find anything, even the text in already opened document.
.htaccess files are neither hidden nor read-only.
Any way to get around this?
I have to find-replace some texts in couple of hundreds .htaccess files site-wide.

I think ( could be wrong), that .htaccess is not a recognised DW file extension so it dosn't know to do a search for those files.
I do believe that you can set up DW to recognise different file extensions via the preferences panel.
Actually looking at my own preferences, htaccess is one of the files in the list- so it does recognise it (because I know I didn't add that - unless it was added when I installed WAMP).
See if you have the same. If not, then I'm not sure why it's not finding your 'search and replace' text.
The only other suggestion would be to use a good text editor with the ability to do 'search and replace'. (sorry :-)

I assume that you are using Oracle (Intermedia) Text functionality. Without this searching within documents is not supported anyway. In which case you need to make sure that your indexes are being syncronized regularly (see the configuration guide on how this is done) and that there are no indexing errors for your DOC index - WWSBR_DOC_CTX_INDX. To determine this, look at the the view CTX_USER_INDEX_ERRORS.

Search inside the API

How can I search inside the API about a specific class or method?
For example I know that there a class called Scanner in the package of the java.util , but I can't find it
Also if I want to search about any method, can't I search about the method or the class inside the API by typing its name then find it.

To search for a class, I go to:

Press "all classes" in the top left frame then search the lower frame for the class name (Ctrl-F and type name in Firefox).
For a method, notice the "Index" link in the right frame -- it takes
you to an A--Z list of all methods.

How can i get the path to config folder placed inside the jar file?

Hi i have developed an RCP application using eclipse.
In my application config directory is there.
When i export my RCP application as JNLP Project the jar file is created which contains config folder inside it.
When i download the application using java web start , how can i get the path to config folder placed inside the jar file?
Will the config folder exists in local cache in my system?
Help needed.

Search for shared library is impossible, as far as I know. Searches supported - are local and internet.

How to search/scan the sourcecode of Function Module

How to search / scan the Source code of Function module for any function modules used in it.
Scenario :
    There is a Function module called ztestfm. In the source code of ztestfm, if it is using other fucntion module
    ( Ex : CONVERSION_EXIT_ALPHA_INPUT).
Like scan-abap .... is there any logic to find in the source code of Funciton module for a statement

How to display PDF file, inside the SWF file or flash exe file

I have create the application for Employee details using flash actionscript 3.0
This application is to view the organization employee details, iam using the tree component in this application,
the tree component is to get the dada via xml file, this xml file save in the remote server ,
I display the PDF file inside the swf file to using " StageWebView" class . Then i goto Publish Setting to change the player Adobe Air 2.6 and run the flash file using
ctr-l + Enter . It is work correctly the PDF file is Displayed inside the Swf Output. But I Publish this file to exe . then i run the exe it is not working .
The application is run The xml data is onely get and displayed the Tree component then i click the tree item employee name the xml data in not display and the pdf file is not open .

Firefox cannot be found inside the Program Files (x86) when using the shortcut or the actual .exe. I also tried using Regedit.exe and firefox was not there. How do I fix this?

After I get the error message "Windows cannot find C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again." I proceeded to use the Regedit solution but the file was not inside the Image File Executable Options folder. The only file inside of there was iexplorer.exe.

How to read, write file inside the JAR file?

I want to read the file inside the jar file, use following method:
File file = new File("filename");
It works if not in JAR file, but it doesn't work if it's in a JAR file.
I found someone had the same problem, but no reply.

If you want to read a file from the JAR file that the
application is packaged in (rather than a separate
external JAR file) you do it like this ...

From a class near to where the data is. This deals with multiple classloaders properly.

For information about the Other category in the Storage display, see this support article. If the Storage display seems to be inaccurate, try rebuilding the Spotlight index.
Empty the Trash if you haven't already done so. If you use iPhoto, empty its internal Trash first:
iPhoto ▹ Empty Trash
Do the same in other applications, such as Aperture, that have an internal Trash feature. Then restart the computer. That will temporarily free up some space.
According to Apple documentation, you need at least 9 GB of available space on the startup volume (as shown in the Finder Info window) for normal operation—not the mythical 10%, 15%, or any other percentage. You also need enough space left over to allow for growth of the data. There is little or no performance advantage to having more available space than the minimum Apple recommends. Available storage space that you'll never use is wasted space.
See this support article for some simple ways to free up storage space.
You can more effectively use a tool such as OmniDiskSweeper (ODS) or GrandPerspective (GP) to explore the volume and find out what's taking up the space. You can also delete files with it, but don't do that unless you're sure that you know what you're deleting and that all data is safely backed up. That means you have multiple backups, not just one. Note that ODS only works with OS X 10.8 or later. If you're running an older OS version, use GP.
Deleting files inside an iPhoto or Aperture library will corrupt the library. Any changes to a photo library must be made from within the application that created it. The same goes for Mail files.
Proceed further only if the problem isn't solved by the above steps.
ODS or GP can't see the whole filesystem when you run it just by double-clicking; it only sees files that you have permission to read. To see everything, you have to run it as root.
Back up all data now.
If you have more than one user account, make sure you're logged in as an administrator. The administrator account is the one that was created automatically when you first set up the computer.
Install the app you downloaded in the Applications folder as usual. Quit it if it's running.
Triple-click anywhere in the corresponding line of text below on this page to select it, then copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C:

Launch the built-in Terminal application in any of the following ways:

☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
Paste into the Terminal window by pressing command-V. You'll be prompted for your login password, which won't be displayed when you type it. Type carefully and then press return. You may get a one-time warning to be careful. If you see a message that your username "is not in the sudoers file," then you're not logged in as an administrator. Ignore any other messages that appear in the Terminal window.
The application window will open, eventually showing all files in all folders, sorted by size. It may take a few minutes for the app to finish scanning.
I don't recommend that you make a habit of doing this. Don't delete anything as root. If something needs to be deleted, make sure you know what it is and how it got there, and then delete it by other, safer, means. When in doubt, leave it alone or ask for guidance.
When you're done with the app, quit it and also quit Terminal.

Java Files inside the jar file cannot be read or accessed through Eclpse

The Java File inside the jar file of the eclipse cannot be accessed through the Eclipse . It shows error for the modules in the jar file .
But when compiled with adding the jar files to the class path the compilation is successful .
How can i browse through the files in the jar like going into the function definition .

Not all of the codecs used in avi and wmv files are available for OS X so I'm guessing your file happens to be using one that isn't...

How can I customize the msi file to include a licence agreement

How can I customize the msi file to include a licence agreement and some splash screens. If i need a third party application could somebody recommend one. I have installshield development studio 9 and it crashes every time I try to add a license.

We don't use the installation maker built into the application builder, instead we use a third party tool that is free and gives additional options; like including a license and to split the installation set to fit on floppies. It's called Inno Setup and can be found on: http://www.jrsoftware.org/. It is script-based but also has a nice wizard.
Inno Setup does not give you much room for splash screens though. There are a number of shareware alternatives (not all free as Inno as far as I've seen) that does, if you do a search for installer makers on download.com you'll get a list of them.

As Ray described, the FindFile expression function and TS API method will seach all TS search directories and return to you the path of your file, assuming the file is located in the search directories.
If you just want the path of a TS file that you have a reference to then there is a faster, easier method. You can use the Path property of the PropertyObjectFile class. In the attached example I use an AcitiveX Automation adapter step to call Path on the property RunState.SequenceFile. This returns the path to the current executing sequence file. Note that if you have not yet saved the sequence file then the path will be empty. In a subsequence step I strip off the file name leaving the root path of the file.
