DW CS5 (MAC) FTP User+Password lost after program start

Hi NG,
this must be a MAC OS X problem!??!?
I put all the ftp datas in to the server information....
When i close DW and start again, in all my sites are the ftp server username+password deletet.
Is there any help for me, how i can fix this?
Thanks.....
TELLO

Hi TELLO,
I waited a little bit to answer, so that the DW cracks can define their position and show their sight.
My various opinions expressed to this much discussed subject, are showing that I prefer a program which works "outside" of the DW. My reason is: for each task in whatever area we work, we search for the experts, we don't charge a "jack of all trades".
So I prefer to upload my files and sometimes for the opposite way, for a necessary download from my server, by using filezilla (for MAC too). It simply looks easier for me to keep track of all operations precisely and generate or reflect easily the desired tree structure.
Above all, FileZilla has a feature (translation from my German FileZilla) called "compare file list". Here it's possible to use file size or modification time as a criterion. There is also the possibility to "hide identical files", so that only these files which you want to redact remain visible.
Here is the link to get it and where you can read informations about how it works:
http://filezilla-project.org/ and
http://wiki.filezilla-project.org/Tutorial#Using_the_site_manager
Of course, you also need all the access data to reach your server.

  • User Settings lost after session is released

I am having a problem with the User settings being lost after the user logs off the system.
menu settings, fields displayed in Marketing  Documents,  displayed User Defined fields and the
sequence of User defined fields get lost after the session ends.  This does not happen to all users,
just some users.  The users that keep losing their settings keep losing their settings,  the ones that do not have a
problem seem never to have a problem.
has anyone else experienced this problem and if so, how has it been resolved?
    Thanks in Advance!!!

  • Passwords lost after Sync

I keep losing my passwords after I sync. Im not syncing my others Macs.
What could be causing this problem?

When you download and install an '''''altered''''' copy of Firefox you are on your own or you are totally dependent on the developer of that altered copy for support. The only site from which to get an authorized release is the Mozilla site. The product that you mentioned seems to be available mostly on torrent sites. Good luck with anything that you get from those sites; anything on a torrent site can very easily be altered to install all sorts of malware on your system.
You can try to un-install that altered copy. Try to locate and backup (before uninstalling the altered Firefox) your original Firefox profile if it is still on your hard drive. Then download, SAVE, and install the official Firefox.

  • Stuck in user/password loop after installing Leopard

Hi, I might not have described the symptoms properly earlier. After a successful installation the computer asks for my password whilst starting up. I give it, the computer accepts it, but then returns to the same page after a few seconds. It just loops back to this page over and over again. Any help wold be very appreciated.

Thanks. I had found that page but I don't think I've understood it properly. I have a successful install using the archive and install keeping all the settings, which is what this page recommends as a solution but I am still stuck in the password/user loop. Suggestion?
You might try booting into the Leopard DVD and in the menu, select reset password.
    See if that helps

  • How do Mac mini users like the parallel program?

I have been a PC user since the 8088 chip and I am done!
For now, the transition to APPLE is pretty scarry.
I have 2 routes. Create a windows partition ro do the parallels snapshot of my windows system.
How well does this snap shot solution work for most folks?
    Are there better solutions?

I am going to need both at some point a LT and desktop.
As a above, I need  a laptop for the studio to shoot tethered and a mini (2.7 i7, 8-16gb RAM, 500gbHD to use on my office for editing, is because I have many peripherals, especially my NEC monitor that has a lot of life left...I am just SICK SICK SICK of Windows issues and Apple owners knowing something I don't. LOL!!!!
On higher end ADOBE products, the programs call home and if something is amiss, the programs will DEACTIVATE all on their own, You don't have a chance to be dishonest. LOL
SO, as above, I can't BUY 2 apple products: a Mac mini and a MBP to have the upgrades all on MACs, THUS the reason for this post about being able to run windows to run these programs until I can buy my 2nd MAC product ( a laptop).
Yeah, I know about activation -- I have CS5.5. License should still allow one laptop, one desktop (or even just two computers) as long as they're not used simultaneously. But I understand your problem, you can't yet buy both the MBP and Mini now; you want both a laptop and desktop, so you can't crossgrade now.
Is there anything that stops you from "lugging" a laptop from studio to office? You can always set up hubs with the peripherals attached, so you can quickly hook up the laptop. I haul my MBP to work everyday, where it connects to an wide-gamut monitor and a FW/USB hub that in turn is hooked up to HDs, graphics tablet, card readers, etc. I connect wireless to the network, which saves me one cable.
Speaking of peripherals, since you're thinking of switching, make sure there are Mac drivers, etc. for them. You may still need virtualization software anyway if you can't get Mac drivers.
As BDAqua mentioned, if you go the virtualization route you're still running Windows; so protection is needed.
Have you considered instead of the 2.7 i7 Mini, the Mini Server instead? The mini server while clocked slower at 2.0GHz has a quad-core i7, and a 2d HD standard. Sticking the Virtual machine one the 2d HD (and more BTO options on dual drives), while giving it more cores will improve improve performance. (But you can always try sticking your Virtual Machine on an external HD for improved performance.) While it comes with Lion Server; Server is some added apps on top of client that you can turn off and throw away.
The 2.7Ghz i7 you're looking at is dual-core. Getting dual drives on that is more costly when you BTO -- you have one choice. While some have added a 2d HD themselves, Apple doesn't consider it a user serviceable, so adding a 2d HD yourself most likely will violate the warranty.
In favor of the Mini you're looking is the AMD dedicated GPU, while the Mini Server has the Intel integrated GPU. It's a bit of a conundrum. Were there an option for the Mini Server with the AMD, I would have paid for it.

  • Mac Selects Text *While* I'm Typing User Password

This is seriously one of the most infuriating things my laptop has decided to do.
Every time I go to type in my password to sign into my mac, my user password, it goes back and reselects the field while I'm typing. The effect is that when I continue typing (as I type my password quickly), the selected portion of text is replaced with whatever my next keystroke is. Essentially, I begin typing my password, my computer selects the text and then replaces the first half of the password with my next keystroke and only half of the password gets entered. It doesn't matter how long I wait or if I select the field intentionally first (though it's always selected so I can begin typing upon opening my mac), the effect is the same. The first time I enter my password, the computer selects the field halfway through, erases the first half, and I enter the password "wrong" and must enter it a second time.
How in the WORLD do I make this stop?

    nbar, appreciate your troubleshooting help.
The problem happens both when I log in and/or when I enter the password from my screensaver.  Typically, I notice the problem when I am entering the password for my MacBook Pro from the screensaver.  Most of the time, the MBP is not connected to anything except my wifi network.  I kick in the screensaver when I leave my desk, and I enter my password when I get back.
Yesterday, I noticed the same problem on my MacMini Server.  In that case, I screenshared into the MacMini with iTeleport on my iPhone with no problem.  When I entered the password to log in from the Login Window with the admin password for the MacMini, the (hidden) letters kept being selected after typing a few, which results in me deleting my previously typed characters as I continue typing.  In that case, since I am physically using my iPhone, there is no local admin password.

CORRECTIVE ACTION: The profile needs to be set to a valid User_name/Password

The profile can be set using the Oracle Forms Interface and the System

Navigate -> Profile -> System -> Query Site level profile:

Alternatively, if the profile value shown above is defined and set to what

Navigate -> Security -> User -> Define -> Query "User Name":

Finally if the Oracle Forms Interface is not available for some reason you
can use SQL*Plus and the Applications API - FND_PROFILE.SAVE(). You can use
the file that generated this message (FND_TOP/patch/115/sql/afgstusr.sql) as
an example of how to code this function. Set the value to a known good
User_name/Password combination. Remember to go back and properly set up

  • [nQSError: 43126]Authentication failed:invalid user/password, how to avoid?

    Hi,
I encountered following error: [nQSError: 43126] Authentication failed: invalid user/password.
when I was starting weblogic server, and server used to shutdown.
After snooping around on net, came across this blog: http://obiee11gqna.blogspot.com/2011/09/obiee-11g-errors-nqserror-43113.html
Found that password for MDS & BIPLATFORM was 'expired', was able to solve my problem and my Presentation Services were up & running.
My question is, how to avoid password of MDS & BIPLATFORM from getting expired in future??
    Regards,
    Jitendra

    Dpka,
Thanx for the link, it shows the way to avoid expiry of password.
I also found another link, in comment section which is equally useful: http://www.artofbi.com/index.php/2011/03/mds-or-biplatform-schema-password-change-considerations/
PS: Thanx to Deva as well for replying to my query.

  • Mac os x wiki server can't authenticate user password from active directory recently after we upgraded to windows 2008 server.

after upgraded to windows 2008 server, our  mac os x wiki server can't authenticate user password anymore. How can I re-bind the wiki server to the AD again? thanks in advance.

Solved it by deleting the user and creating a new one with the same userID.
Maybe it occured because I marked the "user has to change password after first login" box when resetting the password but didn't yet allow him to do so in the webpages menu?!?

  • Site Definition losing FTP User ID and Password

    My configuration:
    iMac 2.4 GHz Intel C2D
    10.6.1 Snow Leopard
    DW v10 (Build 4117)
Not sure if my issue is related to the one described in this thread.
I recently performed a clean install of Snow Leopard and DW. Afterwards I imported my site definitions and everything was fine. On quiting and then re-opening DW the FTP User ID and (optionally Password) in the site sefinition(s) have disappeared. I re-entered them and am able to connect to my site(s) via FTP, but again on closing and re-opening DW the information has disappeared again.
    What I've done;
    - deleted and re-configured all Site Definitions several times.
    - deleted the ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Dreamweaver CS4/en_US/Configuration/ folder
    but still the problem persists.
Not sure if this a Snow Leopard/DW incompatibility issue, but I do recall this happening maybe once or twice with Leopard.
Any help would be gratefully appreciated.

    I beleive this happens if:
    - you are using a trial version
    - you don't enter your keychain password to record this information
I lost my kechain passwordon my mac,and i have to reenter password and FTP info everytime. Very frustrating util I can find the time to figure out how to reset my Mac keychain password.

  • Password wont do anything on installer for CS5 (MAC)

When I try installing CS5 to my mac it wont do anything after I input my administrator password. I click the installer, put in my serial number, but once I get to the " Setup wants to make changes. Type your password to allow this." It does nothing but dissapear and come back asking for my password again. I’m entering the correct password and I’m using the admin account. I tried doing an incorrect password and the setup box shakes (saying wrong password), but when I put my correct one in it just goes away and comes right back.
Tried doing a trail and the same thing happens.
I honestly cant think why its doing it.
I have been searching online and only found one post relating to the same subject matter.

""I’m getting this problem as well, I first noticed it when I tried to update Adobe Flash. The password is correct because if I type an incorrect password the box jiggles in the usual fashion to show its wrong, yet when I type in my correct password theres no movement, the box just disappears and I’m left with the original installer box asking if I want to install/cancel.""

Please try not only enabling the root user account but logging in as the root user.  When you reboot you should have a, "Other," option.  You will want to select this and type the user name as Root and then whatever password you specified.  You can then try the installation again in the Root user account.

Occasionally, FTP user name and password for each site are all gone. I have searched the Internet for the solution. All I found were an issue w/ Dreamweaver 8 and CS4/CS5 but on a MAC. Mine is Dreamweaver CS4 on a PC so I don't have any Keychain on PC to fix. My co-workers are having the similar problem. Advise?

I can primarily speak for the Mac myself, although I do use the Windows versions at work on occassion, but this problem is usually due to either insufficient permissions (what user level are the users that are having trouble) or corrupted cache files.  Try this KB article to re-create a user preferences folder for Windows:
