DW: Diff tools for Windows Users?

Hi,
I was making some changes to a few pages and saw the option to compare files. Then it said I needed a third-party diff tool in order to use this function. I went to preferences and saw where I could add this and started looking through the help files. It says to google diff or file comparison tools. I have been searching for an hour now and I only managed to find 3 programs for MAC users. Some of the sites I found said you need a third-party program/tool...same as Adobe's help info...a lot o help that is LOL. And a lot of this stuff is from 2003 and 2005...I am sure there are people in 2011 using these things?!
Are there some you know of that work on the Windows systems? I have Windows XP Pro 32-bit at this time.

I was looking this up with several different terms/orders and it was not giving me appropriate results. And yes, sometimes I swear these search engines are broken.
#1 I am a firm believer in, "If you don't know, look it up!" And that includes my old dictionary sitting right here next to me on my bookshelf.
#2 I will look high and low for answers and for whatever reason, a specific word combination made the entire difference between searches. I find this amusing,
    because sometimes one can type in the exact word search and still come up with other bologna.
#3 I am brand new to Adobe and from day 1 I had issues with known bugs, so after 2-3 months I am out of the gates and running and trying to learn
    as much as I can about this stuff before this fall. I am working on learning PHP, MySQL, and Apache before my fall classes and rather than just
    give up with something I came here, where Adobe assures me I can get answers on all my questions because everyone is so "friendly and helpful"?!

I know you must use 16-bit DLLs if LabVIEW is installed on Win 3.x. The LabVIEW CD for versions 4 and 5 contains NT/95/3.1 versions. Can't you just install the Win 95 version? If you're using an older version, maybe its time to upgrade.

How can I share my a public calendar from iCal (through iCloud) with Outlook for Windows users?

I have a public work calendar that I wish to share with colleagues in the office. No issues for those having a Mac or an iPhone, but how can I share the calendar with Outlook for Windows users?

The steps detailed below explain how to go about publicly share a calendar (which doesn't require that one be an iCloud user to accept).
Click the Share button to the right of the calendar you want to share, then select Public Calendar.
Note: You can also share the same calendar privately. For instructions, see the previous task, “Share a calendar privately.”
To invite people to view the calendar, click Email Link.
Type one or more email addresses in the To field, then click Send.
The people you specify automatically receive an invitation email that includes the calendar’s URL. An invitee doesn’t need to be an iCloud user to accept an invitation to view a shared public calendar.
In the sidebar, a shared calendar has a dark Share button.
You can also resend invitations to one or more invited participants at any time.

Workaround:
Download the RSAT package intended for Windows 8 Release Preview: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=28972
Extract the .msu file with a tool such as 7-Zip.
Open an Admin command prompt and change directory to where you extracted the .msu.
Run the following command to install (if x86 you probably have a different .xml filename): pkgmgr /n:Windows6.2-KB2693643-x64.xml
Wait a while. You can look in task manager for pkgmgr. When it disappears, the installation is done.
Use the tools as per usual.

Let's try a repair install of iTunes.
Restart the PC first.

As per your question – follow this link http://www.adobe.com/products/adobe-media-server-family.html, download and install AMS Starter, then inside \tools\f4fpackager you’d find the F4F packager command-line application.

Help with PDF formsmaking them work for Windows users

I'm using a new user of Acrobat 8.0.0 and having a helluva time figuring out how to make PDF forms that work for Windows users.
I can make the forms okay and Mac users can fill them out (using either Preview or Reader), and I get them emailed to me just fine. But all of the PC users that I send them to tell me that they "can't save them."
Here's a test PDF I've created (with just a few plain fields in it):

Can someone who's got XP tell me what I'm doing wrong? Or what I can tell my XP users how to save it and be able to email it back with their text.

Worked on my Firefox browser PDF plug-in running XP on my MBP. Opened the completed form in Adobe Reader 9 Windows and all looked fine. Just a note on your fields; date field not properly formatted and once filled, it has the same name as the NAME field. Just make sure our fields are named separately.

This is my result:
From your error code, it seems this is relate to your windows update, please use following command to fix corrupted files:
DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth
In the meantime, you can delete temporary update files in the SoftwareDistribution folder:
Stop Windows Update service.
Open File Explorer.
Double-click the local hard disk where Windows is installed, typically drive C.
Double-click the Windows folder, and then double-click the
SoftwareDistribution folder.
Double-click the DataStore folder to open it, and then delete all files and folders in the folder.
Note If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
Click the Back button. In the SoftwareDistribution folder, double-click the
Download folder to open it, and then delete all files in the folder.
Restart Windows Update service.

First, the plist is a by product of the Apple development process just like the plist is, thus you need to get this from the developer.
Second, you don't have a choice. Getting ipas for Apple store apps is nearly impossible -- you can't just download them from the Apple store and use them. You can try to ask the developer for them but developers are very reluctant to do this. I can guarantee
you that you won't get the ipa for Outlook from Microsoft and nearly all other developers have the same reluctance. There is no reason for them to give them to you -- the store offers many, many advantages for developers/publishers of the apps that go away
completely if they give out the ipa.
Why don't you want to install apps from the store?
Regardless, as mentioned, you really don't have a choice.
