DW Installation never starts - only get blinking screen

I've downloaded and executed the CreativeCloudSet-Up.exe and nothing happens save a blinking screen.
Any thoughts or suggestions appreciated.

Hello Allan,
if we talk about installing apps: could you already study these links?
https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/troubleshoot-cc-installation-download.html and
https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/install-apps.html
If we talk about CC in the whole, I want to complete Nancy's hints:
1. Maybe you have to activate/deactivate, so please have a look there:
http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/activation-deactivation-products.html
2. Sometimes, we know in the meantime, the "opm.db file" is the culprit. In this case you should delete it.
3. Did you already try "uninstalling and re-installing"?
Be careful with (de)installing aso. by (de)installing by your own resources. As much as I regret it and as strange as it may seem I fear it's a challenge for Adobe's Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool. Sometimes - for whatever reasons - CC doesn't "want" to work. In this case you should CC completely delete and reinstall by help of Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool. (A try to uninstall by own resources is not enough!)
I quote: Adobe Creative Suite Cleaner Tool helps resolve installation problems for Adobe Creative Cloud and Adobe Creative Suite (CS3-CS6) applications. The tool removes installation records for prerelease installations of Creative Cloud or Creative Suite applications. It does not affect existing installations of previous versions of Creative Cloud or Creative Suite applications.
Please use: http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/cs5-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html   and follow the prescribed sequence of operations
4. If necessary and for further questions click through http://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html or http://helpx.adobe.com/de/contact.html and if "open" please use chat, I had the best experiences. I quote from Preran: The chat button is activated as soon as there is an agent available to help.
Good luck!

    Reinstall OS X:
Reinstall OS X without erasing the drive
    Do the following:
    1. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions
Boot from your Snow Leopard Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list.  In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive.  If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the installer.
If DU reports errors it cannot fix, then you will need Disk Warrior and/or Tech Tool Pro to repair the drive. If you don't have either of them or if neither of them can fix the drive, then you will need to reformat the drive and reinstall OS X.
    2. Reinstall Snow Leopard
If the drive is OK then quit DU and return to the installer.  Proceed with reinstalling OS X.  Note that the Snow Leopard installer will not erase your drive or disturb your files.  After installing a fresh copy of OS X the installer will move your Home folder, third-party applications, support items, and network preferences into the newly installed system.

Reinstalling Lion Without Erasing the Drive
Boot to the Recovery HD: Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions: Upon startup select Disk Utility from the main menu. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions as follows.
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the main menu.
Reinstall Lion: Select Reinstall Lion and click on the Continue button.
Note: You can also re-download the Lion installer by opening the App Store application. Hold down the OPTION key and click on the Purchases icon in the toolbar. You should now see an active Install button to the right of your Lion purchase entry. There are situations in which this will not work. For example, if you are already booted into the Lion you originally purchased with your Apple ID or if an instance of the Lion installer is located anywhere on your computer.

  • Computer will not start up, get blue screen only

When I try to boot from a newly cloned and installed hard drive on my PowerBook, I only get a blue screen with progress wheel. I read in one of the forums that this may be caused by an incompatible Startup Item. There is one Startup Item listed that I am not sure about called "System Events." Is this necessary and can it be deleted? It is found in /system/library/core services/system events. Another is Iomega Driver, buried deep the system library. These items do not appear in the list on my G4 FW800. Any thoughts? Thanks.

Am using the latest version 3.1. Am really concerned as to the Startup Item "System Events." What is it, what does it do, is it a necessary Startup Item and can it be deleted from the list?
If all else fails, I will zero out the drive and try to re-clone. However, I just went through this on a WD 250GB drive and had nothing but problems. The clone went well, but after 2 weeks of running, folder icons started to disappear and finally the drive would not re-boot. Got many Kernel Panics. Testing the drive, I got and error message saying that the drive had "Invalid Key Lengths", "Volume Check Failed" and "The underlying task reported failed on exit." Don't have a clue as to what this means.
For this latest problem, I am using a Seagate 160GB ATA drive, purchased new.

  • Project Never Starts - Only Blank Screen

    Greetings,
I've just recently upgraded to CP3.
I'd like to have an online version and a cd version of the
project so people can use either type.
When exporting the project it works fine on some computers
while others just give me a the playbar and a blank white screen.
I've had some success with .exe files on certain machines,
but not the swf/htm versions (tried online and local versions).
Any ideas why the project just won't seem to load and play?
Unfortunately, my company needs this asap and I'm running out of
    answers.

    Hi again
The CD Autorun failure could be the file naming. If you are
using spaces, substitute underscores. But I tend to only use the
older DOS 8.3 format for my naming.
Where are the files when you are running on other PCs? Local
C drive or on a web server? If local C drive, have you tried
copying to a web server? If web server, are you certain you copied
ALL the files up there? Often, folks miss the need to copy the
standard.js file. I didn't suggest this earlier as you said it
seems to work on some, but not all PCs. Which is what made me think
    it's a Flash Player thing.
    Cheers... Rick

Are you using a 10.6 Snow Leopard Install DVD? If yes, you can erase and install following these directions: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3910
You'll know whether or not it is a hard drive issue when you get to step 8 under "Part One: Erasing the hard drive". If you do not see your hard drive in the list on the left side of the Disk Utility window then you know the Mac isn't seeing it—could be a loose cable, but more likely hard drive failure.
If you can see it on the left, click on it and look at the bottom of the Disk Utility window. If you see something like "S.M.A.R.T status: failing" that is definitely a hard drive issue. Otherwise, you can just follow the directions for an erase and install!
Might be worth fixing depending how much a repair would cost. Genius Bar could at least diagnose it for you and give a repair estimate. I'd look at what a new or refurbished one with your same specs would cost though to see if the price differential is worth it...

  • Creative Cloud will only open once, then it needs to be re-installed + only get white screen + no adobe programs work

So the title is pretty clear. And I've done a ton of research and tried everything. It used to all work fine too. It started with none of my adobe programs being able to work. The little thumbnail icon would break and I would get an error if I tried to open any of them. This only happened with adobe software, and they would typically work for a while before breaking. Then the creative cloud app stopped working too. Anytime I get it open it's blank, and if I close it, the program won't launch anymore. I need to reinstall it.
I removed all adobe everything off my computer, and used ccleaner to get rid of any excess, then reinstalled the creative cloud app, still doesn't work.
My email had an underscore in it, but I changed that. No weird characters anywhere in my profile. I've also tried every variation of dealing with the OOBE folder stuff.
I don't know what to do... please help

  • IPhoto 9 - Can't Edit photos. Only get black screen

Recently I went to edit some photos I have in iPhoto 9.  When I click on a thumbnail to edit, I get nothing but black.  When I show file, the jpg is there and it opens fine in preview. I tried the iPhoto Library Manager. Made a new library and then tried importing the photos from the existing library into the new one.  It said they were "Unreadable Files" Even though they are all jpgs.
Any ideas? I've rebuilt, etc with CNTRL OPTION.
Is this possibly because of software update to LION? I'm running 10.7.5 and have the latest updates.

Apply the two fixes below in order as needed:
    Fix #1
Launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
Since only one option can be run at a time start with Option #3, followed by #4 and then #1 as needed.
    Fix #2
Using iPhoto Library Manager  to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
1 - download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
2 - click on the Add Library button, navigate to your Home/Pictures folder and select your iPhoto Library folder.
3 - Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the File ➙ Rebuild Library menu option.
4 - In the next  window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
5 - Click on the Create button.
Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments.  However, books, calendars, cards and slideshows will be lost. The original library will be left untouched for further attempts at fixing the problem or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory.

  • MacBook starts only to gray screen

This 3 year old MacBook opens to a gray screen after a normal startup chime (No Apple, No spinning gear).
Attempting to reset PRAM does not work (only one chime).
Attempting to startup in Single User mode gives gray screen only.
Attempting to startup in Target Disk Mode gives gray screen only.
Attempting to startup holding the Option key gives gray screen only.
I'm not a hardware guy, but this seems to me that the motherboard is hosed.
    What else could it be?

Maybe, but most likely the OS is blown. However, try running the diagnostics:
How to run hardware diagnostics for an Intel Mac
Boot from your original OS X Installer Disc One that came with your computer. After the chime press and hold down the "D" key until the diagnostic screen appears. Run the extended tests for a minimum of two or three hours. If any error messages appear note them down as you will need to report them to the service tech when you take the computer in for repair.
    Some "common" error indicators:
    SNS - sensor error
    MEM - memory error
HDD - hard disk drive error
    MOT - fan error
If there are no reported problems then do this:
Repairing the Hard Drive and Permissions
Boot from your OS X Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Installer menu (Utilities menu for Tiger, Leopard or Snow Leopard.) After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. Now restart normally.
If DU reports errors it cannot fix, then you will need Disk Warrior and/or Tech Tool Pro to repair the drive. If you don't have either of them or if neither of them can fix the drive, then you will need to reformat the drive and reinstall OS X.
If there are no problems but the computer still will not boot, then you will need to reinstall OS X.

  • TS2570 tried restart and hold c key, but still only getting white screen with grey apple logo and spinning loading icon, what do I do next?

nephew had mutliple tabs open and shut down the iMac by hitting the button on the back instead of closing everything corectly.  Now the only screen i get is the white with apple logo and the loading circle icon.  i have attempted restart and c key with disk in but cant even get a menu to come up.  What can I attempt from home before having to haul this into the store?

wireless keyboard and mouse were working prior to safe mode attempt, i was able to eject disk.  still waiting on the safe mode restart.  I'm not sure what I should be looking for to confirm safe mode and what the screen should look like if successfully processing.  it seems to be putting off a lot of heat.  BRB

    Hello I have a problem
    I have Windows 7 64bit
For a game I needed to change my processor limit to one so the game wont have graphic problems, I changed it and rebooted my computer after that I had to options if i chose the option to start windows normally it loads for a while like always then the blue screen of death apears and my computer restarts if I chose let windows fix problems. It tries to fix them but with no sucess and my computer restarts again.
I think that the problem is that my computer now doesnt have enough RAM memory to start up since it needs 2 GB. I thought I could start it up in safe mode but I dont know how to do it. BIOS doesnt help much.

Partition is done the computer starts to install windows and then the display gets black and the macbook seems to turn the power off but the fans are still spinning. I dont know how to install windows on this MacBook. When i try to install simply from the cd theres the same problem: Display gets black and macbook seems to turn off. How can i install Windows 7? is there any possibility to boot from a USB device although it has a super drive?

@LenBlazer: As far as I know, CSM support is required for Windows 7 to run in UEFI mode on any machine.  CSM - compatibility services module - makes some legacy-style BIOS hooks available when in UEFI mode as I understand it.
@BAZZI: I can't find the N581 in the BIOS simulator to look at the options.  Some other similar machines don't seem to list CSM as a separate option. Hopefully CSM support is enabled (silently) when UEFI is selected but I can't verify that, unfortunately.
CSM may not be the problem in your case.  It has been on the machines I've tested Win7/UEFI on.  When it isn't enabled you get to the Windows 7 "dancing balls" splash and then it hangs.
Sorry I can't be of more help.
