DW locking up on load

I'm a web developer, I use DW a lot - I haven't been able to get DW to load all day long. It locks up on "initializing extension data" and will load no further. I've uninstalled and re-installed the program and have updated it with no success. PLEASE help... I have work to do!
Thank in advance!

Hello Mikki,
1. Maybe you have to activate/deactivate, so please have a look there:
http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/activation-deactivation-products.html
2, Sometimes, we know in the meantime, the "opm.db file" is the culprit. In this case you should delete it.
3. Did you really try "uninstalling and re-installing"?
Be careful with (de)installing aso. by (de)installing by your own resources. As much as I regret it and as strange as it may seem I fear it's a challenge for Adobe's Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool.
Sometimes - for whatever reasons - CC doesn't "want" to work. In this case you should CC completely delete and reinstall by help of Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool. (A try to uninstall by own resources is not enough!)
I quote: Adobe Creative Suite Cleaner Tool helps resolve installation problems for Adobe Creative Cloud and Adobe Creative Suite (CS3-CS6) applications. The tool removes installation records for prerelease installations of Creative Cloud or Creative Suite applications. It does not affect existing installations of previous versions of Creative Cloud or Creative Suite applications.
Please use: http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/cs5-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html   and follow the prescribed sequence of operations
4. If necessary and for further questions click through http://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html or http://helpx.adobe.com/de/contact.html and if "open" please use chat, I had the best experiences.
Good luck!

  • IMovie locks up on loading

    Hi All
I have iMovie 11 and everytime I load it, it locks up whilst loading movies from iphoto. I have to force quite and when I reload again it asks about excluding an avi file in iphoto library. I exclude but then the same happens again.
Is there anyway of stopping it doing this. I have loads of movies from an old camera whcih probably got imported and would take an age to find them all
    Thanks
    Glenn

    Hi again Glenn,
A quick way to find all your avi clips in iPhoto is to click on Events in the iPhoto Library, then in the bottom left corner use Search. In the Search box, type .avi or .AVI - this should bring up all the avi files in your iPhoto Library, showing a thumbnail for each video.
You can also create a Smart Album in iPhoto that will bring together all your movies into one album in the Library. From iPhoto's menu select File > New Smart Album, then adjust the settings to show as below:
By a process of elimination you may be able to track down any problem files in this Smart Album. Of course, the Search field I mentioned above will allow you to isolate just the avi files. Note that whenever you add a new video clip to iPhoto it will automatically appear in the Smart Album (a brilliant feature in iPhoto).
Anyway, first things first - let us know what the Format and FPS is for one of the avi clips (as I asked in my first post here).

  • My iPhone locked up after loading iOS 7.0.2

My iPhone locked up after loading iOS 7.0.2 and it will not reset using the home key / on-off button reset.  The screen returns to and iTunes icon and a 'cord' end that looks like the end of the power cord.

Force the phone into recovery mode, as described here, & restore it:

  • Itunes Locks seconds after loading

Recently my itunes has started to lock just after loading, it opens then begins to check the podcasts then locks, i can do nothing after that point apart from close it from the task manager. i have repaired, uninstalled and reinstalled it but still nothing, it does it regardless of having the ipod connected.

seems to be the podcast issue, and seems to be working after i deleted some partly downloaded tmps

  • Lock tables when load data

Are there any way to lock tables when i insert data with SQL*Loader? or oracle do it for me automatically??
    how can i do this?
Thanks a lot for your help

Are there any problem if in the middle of my load (and commits) an user update o query data ?The only problem that I see is that you may run short of undo space (rollback segment space) if your undo space is limited and the user is running a long SELECT query for example: but this problem would only trigger ORA-1555 for the SELECT query or (less likely since you have several COMMIT) ORA-16XX because load transaction would not find enough undo space.
Data is not visible to other sessions, unless, the session which is loading data, commits it. That's the way Oracle handle the read committed isolation level for transaction.
    See http://download-west.oracle.com/docs/cd/B10501_01/server.920/a96524/c21cnsis.htm#2689
Or what happens if when i want to insert data someone has busy the table? You will get blocked if you try to insert data that has the same primary key as a row being inserted by a concurrent transaction.

  • ROW CACHE ENQUEUE LOCK/ibrary cache load lock leads to database hung

    (lowercase, curly brackets, no spaces)
We faced database hung on 3 node 11i erp 9i rac database.
We saw the library cache load lock timed out events reported in alert log.
Then few ora-600 and later ROW CACHE ENQUEUE LOCK timed out event. Eventually database was hung and we had to bounce the services .
we created support sr 7845542.992 for RCA.
The support says to increase shared pool size to avoid shared pool fragmentation and avoid reload ,additionaly to upgrade to 10g database.
I am not covinced adding additional pool size would solve this or upgrade to 10 .furthermore even 10g has such issues reported.
I saw couple of bugs mentioned such issue can happen due deadlock of session holding latches .
kindly let me know your view on issue
If required i can attach statspack for more information. (lowercase, curly brackets, no spaces)

Many Thanks, i was keen to have your update .
There are 8 cpus on each node . Reloads very high during time period ,but normally there are not high reloads.

  • Firefox 3.6.6 locks up when loading imbedded videos; Windows 7

Each time I try to load an embedded video on a webpage (YouTube, etc.). My browser locks up. I can "unfreeze" the browser by getting into Task Manager and ending the process, but canceling out of ending the process. This problem did not exist until I updated to 3.6.6

I went into the extensions and disabled AVG Safe Search and I no longer have the problem.

  • AE CS6 project crashing/locking up upon loading - same % each time

    Hi everyone,
Having some problems with CS6 on Windows 7.
I created a project on my desktop which is powerful and up to such a basic project. Returning to the project later I found it would no longer open. It would load some assets into the project list, and go to about 5%, then the screen and windows would white out and not respond.
I tried importing etc but could not get it to open.
Oddly, it will open on an off the shelf laptop no problem. I even tried reducing the project, collecting files and opening on the original desktop, and still no luck.
Any idea what would cause this? It is doing the same with an earlier version of the same project..
Originally there was a warning that would come up during startup which I struggle to remember, something about GL settings, and with the option to warn upon startup once per session etc.. I remember turning this off before the problem started occurring.. could that have caused the issue?
    Thanks heaps in advance!

    Thanks mate,
I have tried that... unlikely it's a corrupt source/project problem I would think as I can swap across to the laptop and it opens no problem... possible it is an effect problem I guess... although I just tried making fresh projects with same effects and still no good.... I have removed almost everything in the project and saved a copy... no good... I have reinstalled AE twice... no good
I even tried saving it out CS5.5 and opening in CS6... still locked up..... so frustrating
    Cheers,
    Mick

  • My HP dv7-1245dx (intel processor) keeps locking up when loading Windows Vista

    Hi All,
I am someone can help me with this particulary frustrating problem.  I have an HP dv7-1245dx that keeps locking up once you see the windows screen with the 'chaser bar' scrolling.  Shortly after I hear a 'pop' on the speakers (I am assuming it was loading the audio driver) it consistenly locks up; the scroll bar stops... and that is it!!  I first tried checking the bios for function, and the computer did lock up when the 'long hard disk diagnostics) starts.  The memory is fine, and the quick disk drive check worked fine.  Couldn't even find a BIOS version online to reload.  I recently duplicated and replaced the old hard drive with a bit-for-bit copy.   I put the OLD drive back in thinking the new hard drive were somehow currupted, but the exact same thing happened.
I ordered recovery discs because I couldn't find my originals... initially.   I tried both sets, and the same thing continues to happen after reading the first disk, then seemingly going back to the hard drive.  Let me say this, the recovery utility sucks!!  You would think it would take ready command and control of the computer, allowing one to make changes.  I think this is Carly Forina's fault!!
Do I need to buy new Vista OS copy and reload??  Has anyone experienced the same thing??  I would appreciate any help in the right direction anyone is willing to offer me.  Thank you in advance!!

    Hi @windoz
Welcome to the HP Forums! I see that you are having some problems getting your Windows Vista to load properly. Buying another copy of Windows Vista and reloading most likely isn't going to help you here. It does look like a hardware issue. If you have tried two different hard drives and the memory test comes up fine then it either the cable connecting the hard drive or the processor on the motherboard. I would recommend having someone take a look at the notebook.
Please click “Accept as Solution ” if you feel my post solved your issue.

  • Firefox locks up when loading PDFs, Google Analytics and other sites

I just recently upgraded to the latest version of Firefox on my PC running Windows 7. I have never had any problems running Firefox until now. When I want to play video, load PDFs, Google Analytics, etc. Firefox does not work properly. With videos the image locks up unless you constantly move the mouse over the video window the entire time. With PDFs the entire PDF locks up and you cannot search the document or browse the file (same problem with e-Catalogs, etc.) In Google Analytics the window constantly locks up and you cannot smoothly click around the site.

Do a malware check with some malware scanning programs on the Windows computer.<br />
You need to scan with all programs because each program detects different malware.<br />
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.

    Hi,
BW Data load Job should be scheduled on the server when there are less number of users using system and less number of load on the system .
    Hope that helps.

  • Encore CS3 locks up while loading

Encore crashes while loading. It stops at loading Media Layer: DXCaptureSource.d and causes the application to hang.
    szAppName : Adobe Encore.exe szAppVer : 3.0.1.8 szModName : hungapp
    szModVer : 0.0.0.0 offset : 00000000
After installing DVD writer-related software, i.e. Nero and Lightscribe I noticed the problem. I have since removed all of these applications and their values in the registry - to no avail. Encore will only run if I start the system with basic drivers only (MSCONFIG - Diagnostic Startup). Can anyone help? Thank you.

Supplemental Information: Upon disabling Windows Audio Service (in MSCONFIG), Encore will load properly. The problem is that without Windows Audio Services you have no sound. Can ADOBE look into this conflict, please?

  • Safari Locks up while loading, cannot install updates or new beta

When booting up Safari, it would get as far as loading up the first viewing window before becoming completely unresponsive. After several restarts, I decided to trash the app and download the most current version of Safari from apple.com. Yet the installer kept saying that my hard drive doesn't meet the requirements to install the .pkg file.
The only thing I could think of doing was trashing some of Safari's preference file, but I couldn't find any via Spotlight. Can anyone help me solve this without resorting to re-installing OSX Tiger? I am currently looking for my lost OSX disc in case that is my only option to resolving this matter.
    P.S.
Today I tried installing the Safari 3 beta, yet it gave me the same error when trying to install.
    15.4" PowerBook G4   Mac OS X (10.4.9)

My advice would be to just reinstall Safari— you don't have to reinstall the entire OS. This is what I did after the Safari 3 beta gave me the same message about my hard drive in the Installer, and then screwed up Safari 2.
Pop in your OS X install DVD and click on 'Optional Installs.' Once you get to Installation Type in the process, select Safari and only Safari. They tell you to back up your essential files even when doing just a one app install like this (and it's probably still a good idea) but I didn't have any problems.

  • LabVIEW 2013 locks up while loading new VI

When attempting to load an existing VI while a project is open and the new VI caues conflicts LabVIEW shows a warning window.  If LabVIEW has a loading window open when the conflicts message appears then LabVIEW becomes unresponsive on all of its windows except for the help window.  The buttons appear to function but nothing happens.  I can move the Loading ... window around but none of the others.  I left it for 30 minutes yesterday (different VI that I was trying to load) but no joy.  I had to kill LabVIEW and lost my work.  Same situation today.  These were both examples I downloaded from this forum.
How can I avoid this problem in the future?
    Thank you.

The problem has reoccurred 3 times this morning (see attached image for the 3rd lockup).  All with local files.  I have a LabVIEW project open, when I open a VI outside of the project (using windows explorer) I sometimes get the mxLvGetFilePathBatch.vi loading message and then LabVIEW freezes.  mxLvGetFilePathBatch loading message is the last apparent LV action every time before the lockup  This happens when the loading window opens while another LabVIEW related popup is showing.  See attached image where I was trying to examine a vi that is in my user.lib while LabVIEW was open.  In this case the VI is referenced by the project (strict static vi reference) but that is not always the case.  The first two lockups this morning were with nonproject VIs that use some of the same user.lib VIs as the project.  My user.lib is at the default location in the LabVIEW program directory.
The attached txt file is in html format, it is a table listing my installed packages.  An export from JKI package manager, massaged with excel for readability.
I would appreciate any ideas on how to proceed with debugging this problem.
