DW MX Studio 2004 Patches
Can I still download the patches and code updates for DW MX
Suite 2004? Or have them stopped offering that and can only upgrade
to the latest version now. Thanks.

Use the search box on the main page at
http://adobe.com/ to search for
the words [dreamweaver patch]; the second search result will
bring you to
this page:

Computer Engineering DepartmentYour problems installing the Sun Studio 11 patches through Update Manager have been encountered previously in regards to globally installed packages and was due to a combination of bug ID's 6337009, 6214678 and 6374972 for the patching utilities of which the last is still open.
You will currently have to manually install the patches using patchadd with the "-G" flag whilst in the global zone to install them in the global zone only. -

Flash MX 2004 Patch / updates
Hi Hope this is in the right area.
At the school where I work we use a package system to deploy
software, and after deploying Flash MX 2004, we have found that it
keeps asking us for the product key. From what I have been told and
read this is a bug with in V7.2 and a patch was released to fix the
problem.
Does any one have a copy of the patch or know where I could
locate one to correct this problem, as I have 200+ computers that
will need the key.
I would appreciate any help with this problem.
Thanks
RobHi Walter
Thanks for your reply unfortunately it had no effect on the
problem. I contacted Adobe support and it was their advice to use
the forum, as they could no longer provide support for this version
of flash.
Thanks anyway.
Edit 13th Oct 08 13.09 - Sorry to change the topic a pit but
the company that installed the network CSE have advised that a
network intall of studio mx 2004 might correct the problem. Could
any one provide me with instructions on how to do this?

What Sun Studio 12 patches are included in Sun Studio 12 Update 1?
I can't seem to find a bug list or patch list for Sun Studio 12 Update 1. Can someone provide a link or list of what was fixed?
Secondary, how do I know I have Sun Studio 12 Update 1 installed? Does CC -V say 5.9.1?
-ktoI'm not sure about your bug list or patch list question, but on your second question you can use the "version" command.
Just point it at the Sun Studio component you want to check. So for the CC compiler :
% version sunstudio12.1/bin/CC
version of "sunstudio12.1/bin/CC": Sun C++ 5.10 SunOS_sparc 2009/05/02
You can also just type "version" and that will list all the
components of the Sun Studio that are in your PATH, like so :
% version
Machine hardware: i86pc
OS version: 5.10
Processor type: i386
Hardware: i86pc
The following components are installed on your system:
Sun Studio 12 update 1
Sun Studio 12 update 1 C Compiler
Sun Studio 12 update 1 C++ Compiler
Sun Studio 12 update 1 Tools.h++ 7.1
Sun Studio 12 update 1 C++ Standard 64-bit Class Library

How to apply signed patches to Studio 11 under Solaris 10?
I'm running Solaris 10 6/06 on a Sun W2100z (x86_64) workstation. I have a long history of experience with Solaris, but I'm not terribly familiar with the things that are new or different with 10, including zones and the new patch management tools.
I want to apply the latest patches to the various components of Studio 11, e.g. 120759-08,
121018-04, etc. Since all the other patches I've applied (for other OS subsets) have been "signed" patches, I was hoping to stay consisent and apply signed patches to Studio 11 too. I've been foiled at every attempt, though, so I'm looking for some help.
- if I use /usr/bin/updatemanager to select and attempt to apply the patches, I just get error
messages saying that the patches could not be applied:

Patchadd is terminating.That's three strikes, and I'm out of ideas. Any suggestions for how one goes about applying signed patches for Studio 11? I'll switch to unsigned if I have to, but this seems like it shouldn't be this hard.
Thanks,
TimI started a new thread on the updatemanager forum.
http://forum.sun.com/jive/thread.jspa?threadID=107410
I found that forum by googling for "updatemanager" and "zones", but
I couldn't find any recent information on this issue. It seems the
problem has been known about for a while now.

Studio 12 with latest patches and wxGTK 2.8.10
Anyone build wxGTK 2.8.10 on Solaris 10 with the Studio 12 compiler + latest Studio 12 patches? /opt/SUNWspro/prod/include/CC/Cstd/memory now has:
template <class _T , class _Base>
class __rw_basis : public _Base
_T __data_;
public:
__rw_basis(const __rw_basis& b) : _Base(b), __data_(b.__data_) {;}
__rw_basis(const _T& t, const _Base& b) : _Base(b), __data_(t) {;}
__rw_basis(int t, const _Base& b) : _Base(b), __data_((_T)t) {;} // TEMP
__rw_basis operator=(const _T& t) { __data_ = t; return *this; }
__rw_basis operator=(int t) { __data_ = (_T)t; return *this; } // TEMP
__rw_basis operator=(const __rw_basis& r)
{ __data_ = r.__data_; return *this; }
__rw_basis operator=(const _Base& b)
{ *this = __rw_basis<_T,_Base>(__data_,b); return *this; }
operator _T() { return __data_; }
_T data() const { return __data_; }
};It use to have "T" rather than "_T":
template <class T , class Base>
class __rw_basis : public Base
T __data_;
public:
__rw_basis(const __rw_basis& b) : Base(b), __data_(b.__data_) {;}
__rw_basis(const T& t, const Base& b) : Base(b), __data_(t) {;}
__rw_basis(int t, const Base& b) : Base(b), __data_((T)t) {;} // TEMP
__rw_basis operator=(const T& t) { __data_ = t; return *this; }
__rw_basis operator=(int t) { __data_ = (T)t; return *this; } // TEMP
__rw_basis operator=(const __rw_basis& r)
{ __data_ = r.__data_; return *this; }
__rw_basis operator=(const Base& b)
{ *this = __rw_basis<T,Base>(__data_,b); return *this; }
operator T() { return __data_; }
T data() const { return __data_; }
};The T causes a problem for wxGTK which defines T() and uses it throughout the wxGTK source base. Why the change from "_T" to "T"? Is it because of bug #6797621? What's the best way for me to fix this?I knew I'd seen this before:

Please I need assistance on how to solve this problem. Thank you.
Similarly, I don't really know how to write sql strings - I just give commands and Dreamweaver will generate the sql strings. Yet, I still observe errors. But I think, for the sql aspect, I'm undergoing a tutorial note that I downloaded on the internet.
Please help me to solve this error problem at the moment. The sql knowledge is not the problem. I can get that at my leisure.
Thank you.
Eyo Eyo (Nigeria).It sounds like you do not have an internet connection (wifi arcs in the upper left does not mean you have a connection) since Safari does not work also.. Try the following:
- Reset the iPod. Nothing will be lost.
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off and then back on the router
- Reset networks settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings

Studio 12: C compiler generates bad code with -m64 -KPIC -xO2
Hello,
after upgrading my Solaris 10/x64 machine from Studio 11 to Studio 12 some problems were fixed, but others came up; like this one:
I have a code snippet that obviously causes the C compiler to generate wrong code if compiled with options -m64 -KPIC -xO2. If any of these options are missing, it runs fine. Here's the example code:
#include <stdio.h>
#include <strings.h>
static int do_something() { return 0; }
static int foo() {
fprintf(stderr, "\n!! BUG: BAD CODE! unexpected function call foo()!\n\n");
return 222;
static int bar() {
fprintf(stdout, "\nOK: bar() called\n\n");
return 0;
static const struct {
const char* name;
int (*func)();
int flag;
} tab[] = {
{ "foo", &foo, 0 },
{ "bar", &bar, 0 },
{ 0, 0, 0 }
int main(int argc, const char** argv) {
int i;
for (i=0; tab.name; i++) {
if( strcmp(tab[i].name, "bar") == 0 ) {
if(tab[i].flag) { /* not reached */
if(!do_something()) {
return 2;
return (*tab[i].func)();
return 1; /* not reached */
Many lines seem to be bogus, but they are actually needed to reproduce the problem.
This is what happens:# cc -m64 -KPIC -xO2 bug.c && ./a.out ; echo $?
!! BUG: BAD CODE! unexpected function call foo()!
222
If I compile with debugging information (-g), I get expected behavior, which is:# cc -m64 -KPIC -g bug.c && ./a.out ; echo $?
OK: bar() called
0
While creating the test case I've also seen SIGSEGV at runtime in the bug case - which is probably due to a wrong calculated function address for jmp (just guessing).
Does anyone know if this is a known bug?
Any help is appreciated.

Web service in netweaver 2004s
Dear experts,
I created a web service based an RFC function module and my bw system is Netweaver 2004s patch level 19,so this webservice can not be configured in transaction wsadmin and wsconfig.
And it can only be admined in new transaction SOAMANAGER or WSADMIN2. It said after patch level 14 new created webservice are hidden in wsadmin.
We did not configure J2EE server in our bw system and only have ABAP web,when I tried soamanager I got an error.
Is it possible that we can use soamanager to configure this webservice without installing J2EE enginee?
Or we have to use J2EE to configure web service after patch level 14.
Thanks
Best regards
FanchestHi Fannie,
SOAMANAGER is a Web Dynpro for ABAP application. It does not require a J2EE stack to run.
Perhaps your ICM is not configured properly?

Netweaver 2004 : How to create an pdf without need to use Adobe Control ?
Dear WebDynpro experts,
in my application I use Adobe interactive forms to create a pdf document for printing purposes.
I provide it as download using the file download GUI element.
There's no need to work with the pdf document afterwards, sionce it is only needed for printouts.
If I use my application with Firefox this works great. I can download my pdf without any problem.
But if I try to use Internet explorer and wand to download the pdf I always get the message that I have
to install Adobe Control into my Internet explorer.
Is it possible to configure my application the way that I don't need the adobe control on my Internet explorer ?
Is there a better way to provide non interactive pdf documents ?
Best regards,
DanielDear Ruturaj,
thanks for your answer.
Unfortunately Í don't have an "display type" property for Interactive form.
I have beneath the Event and Event properties the following properties in my
property list for the Interactive Forms element :
data source
enabled
height
id
mode
pdfsource
templatesource
tooltip
visible
width
I also checked the Form Properties within the designer and didn't find a display type property.
I assume this is due to the fact I use an old version of Netweaver Developer Studio since I have
only Netweaver Developer Studio 2004 SP 20.
is there a way to switch off Active X using such a version ?
Best regards,
Daniel
