DW Registration - No such host is known
I've just unregistered my SCSM 2012 R2 DW server. It was a bit of a process to do this after I swapped my old Windows 2008 R2 server for a new server with Windows 2012 R2 using a different hostname. But its done now.
Trying to register a new server, but its coming up with:
Unable to register Service Manager installation with Data Warehouse installation.
Data Warehouse Server: DW_SCSM2012_New
Service Manager Management Server: SCSM2012
Exception: Microsoft.EnterpriseManagement.UI.Core.Shared.PowerShell.PSServiceException: No such host is known
at Microsoft.EnterpriseManagement.UI.Core.Shared.PowerShell.PSHostService.executeHelper(String cmd, Object[] input)
at Microsoft.EnterpriseManagement.UI.Core.Shared.PowerShell.PSHostService.Invoke(String cmd, Object[] input)
at Microsoft.EnterpriseManagement.ServiceManager.UI.Administration.DWRegistration.Registration.DWRegistrationHelper.AcceptChanges(WizardMode wizardMode)
I've got the same time on both DW and Management server. I've restarted both as well as the SQL instance (on a different server). I've set the <samp class="codeph" style="font-family:'Lucida Console', 'Courier New', monospace;font-size:14px;color:#333333;">Set-ExecutionPolicy
RemoteSigned</samp>. on both servers. No firewall on either server.
Any ideas?
Yeah, its not a DNS error, the "No such host is known" only comes at the final Confirm step of the DW registration process. This first step works fine for example connecting to the new DW server, of course if I make a typo or put in another server,
this step doesn't work:
Afterwards the Run As Account in the next step is coming up with the new DW servers Data Source Secure Reference. So my SCSM Management server can definitely pick up on the DW installation and communicate with the new server. But its just something not working
with the actual registration process.
I'm thinking my Management Server is trying to register the old Management Server hostname with the DW server because there is some SQL value that is still my old SCSM Management Server, I just have no idea where to look for that in SQL.
Or its something completely different. But DNS should be fine, ping is fine of course.

'No such host is known' error when configuring Reporting database
Hi,
We are joining two report server databases using reporting services config manager. The problem is when we are trying to connect database on another machine we are receiving following error at step 'generating Rights script'
System.Net.Sockets.SocketException: No such host is known
at System.Net.Dns.GetAddrInfo(String name)
at System.Net.Dns.InternalGetHostByName(String hostName, Boolean includeIPv6)
at System.Net.Dns.GetHostEntry(String hostNameOrAddress)
at ReportServicesConfigUI.RSDatabase.IsLocalDbServer(String dbServer)
at ReportServicesConfigUI.RSDatabase.GrantRSConnectionRights()
at ReportServicesConfigUI.RSDatabase.CreateNewDatabase()
As per step mentioned in following link,
http://blogs.msdn.com/b/sameersurve/archive/2009/06/15/no-such-host-is-known-error-when-configuring-ssrs-2008.aspx
We tried opening port 1434 for the Reportserver db machine. but it didnt worked for me.
Following are points i feel could be the reason of failure,
1. The two machine we are working on are in different domains.
2. The Product version of the two reporting servers are different.
Have anyone experienced this if yes any solution that i can try?Hi Shrikant_k,
If we are using a remote database server for the report server database, we should refer to the following tips:
Enable remote connections. And we should also open your firewall software and open the port that SQL Server listens on. For the default instance, this is typically port 1433 for TCP/IP connections. To verify that the instance accepts remote connections,
please refer to the following article:
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms157300(v=sql.105).aspx
When you enable remote connections, the client and server protocols will also be enabled. To verify the protocols are enabled, please see:
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms191294(v=sql.105).aspx
When the database server is in a different domain or we are using workgroup security, we must configure the connection to use a SQL Server database login. In this way, we must update the report server database connection every time we change the password
or the account.
When creating a report server database, be aware that not all editions of SQL Server can be used to host the database. The following document is for your reference:
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms157285(v=sql.105).aspx
Reference:
Configuring a Report Server Database Connection
Hope this helps.
Thanks,

Test Controller exception: No such host is know
I'm getting following errors on the test controller machine, when I'm trying to run CodedUI tests remotely:
(QTController.exe, PID 3032, Thread 12) ControllerDeployment.DoDeployment: System.Net.Sockets.SocketException (0x80004005): No such host is known
During controller and agent configuration no errors came up. And when I go to Manage test controller dialog in Visual Studio I can see all the agents active. But when I try to execute any CodedUI test remotely it's hanging forever.
Not sure if it's connected with the fact that I've upgraded client/controller/agents to 2012 versions recently, but I've started seeing the problem only after this upgrade.Hello Anton,
Glad to receive your reply.
Have you try the suggestions step by step provided in this link (http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/vststest/thread/df043823-ffcf-46a4-9e47-1c4b8854ca13)?
I think that those steps are very useful which you can try them.
1.Use Visual Studio or Microsoft Test Manager (see Tools section above) to view Controller status.
2.If you can’t connect to Controller, make sure that Controller service is running:
On Controller machine (you can also do that remotely) re/start controller service (see Tools section in Appendix).
3. (if you still can’t connect) On Controller machine make sure that it can accept incoming connections through Firewall:
Open port 6901 (or create exception for the service program/executable).
Add Firewall Exception for File and Printer Sharing.
4. (if you still can’t connect) make sure that the user you run the Client under has permissions to connect to Controller:
On Controller machine, add Client user to the TeamTestControllerAdmins local group.
5. (if you still can’t connect) On Client machine make sure that Firewall is not blocking incoming and outgoing connections:
Make sure that there is Firewall exception for Client program (devenv.exe, mstest.exe, mlm.exe) so that it can accept incoming connections.
Make sure that Firewall is not blocking outgoing connections.
6. If you still can’t connect, you can try to re-configure the test controller and test agent.
7.If you still can’t connect, restart Controller service
In addition, I would like to know if you have VS2010 and VS2012 on the same machine. If yes, maybe it can cause some unexpected issue. I suggest that you can install the VS2010 to check
the result.
Hope you can update the result once you have tried the steps
Best regards,
Amanda Zhu [MSFT]

w2k8 domain with two DCs - this error is present.
initially we had issues with initial synchronization of the directory by we logged a call with MS and they address a registry entry that bypassed the initial syncronization, but I can still see the errors below and a client not registering in DNS sue to no permissions.
canyou advise what can I do to get rid of this error:
Log Name: Directory Service
Source: Microsoft-Windows-ActiveDirectory_DomainService
Date: 28/10/2009 18:54:04
Event ID: 2088
Task Category: DS RPC Client
Level: Warning
Keywords: Classic
User: ANONYMOUS LOGON
Computer: olivia.domain.com
Description:
Active Directory Domain Services could not use DNS to resolve the IP address of the source domain controller listed below. To maintain the consistency of Security groups, group policy, users and computers and their passwords, Active Directory Domain Services successfully replicated using the NetBIOS or fully qualified computer name of the source domain controller.
Invalid DNS configuration may be affecting other essential operations on member computers, domain controllers or application servers in this Active Directory Domain Services forest, including logon authentication or access to network resources.
You should immediately resolve this DNS configuration error so that this domain controller can resolve the IP address of the source domain controller using DNS.
Alternate server name:
katie
Failing DNS host name:
60c35a20-978b-4e86-9751-e65d9e584e76._msdcs.domain.com
NOTE: By default, only up to 10 DNS failures are shown for any given 12 hour period, even if more than 10 failures occur. To log all individual failure events, set the following diagnostics registry value to 1:
Registry Path:
HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\NTDS\Diagnostics\22 DS RPC Client
User Action:
1) If the source domain controller is no longer functioning or its operating system has been reinstalled with a different computer name or NTDSDSA object GUID, remove the source domain controller's metadata with ntdsutil.exe, using the steps outlined in MSKB article 216498.
2) Confirm that the source domain controller is running Active Directory Domain Services and is accessible on the network by typing "net view \\<source DC name>" or "ping <source DC name>".
3) Verify that the source domain controller is using a valid DNS server for DNS services, and that the source domain controller's host record and CNAME record are correctly registered, using the DNS Enhanced version of DCDIAG.EXE available on http://www.microsoft.com/dns
dcdiag /test:dns
4) Verify that this destination domain controller is using a valid DNS server for DNS services, by running the DNS Enhanced version of DCDIAG.EXE command on the console of the destination domain controller, as follows:
dcdiag /test:dns
5) For further analysis of DNS error failures see KB 824449:

10.30.0.1, 10.30.0.2
Sent update to server : 10.30.0.1
IP Address(es) :
10.0.0.167
The reason the system could not register these RRs was because the DNS server contacted refused the update request. The reasons for this might be (a) you are not allowed to update the specified DNS domain name, or (b) because the DNS server authoritative for this name does not support the DNS dynamic update protocol.
To register the DNS host (A) resource records using the specific DNS domain name and IP addresses for this adapter, contact your DNS server or network systems administrator.

Sorry if my attempt to be thorough in my description may result in excessive and unnecessary information.
I'm running into some problems with a single server running WS 2012 R2 as a domain controller (AD and DNS) and I’m trying to figure out what the cause is.
The network has ~10 computers on it connected through a cable business gateway (running DHCP) which feeds 2 switches and a wireless router acting as a switch. (I also turned on remote services, but the end users aren’t using that until I get certificates
setup.)
For 6+ months everyone had access to the shared files and databases on each workstation without issue.
In the last month users would occasionally have to re-enter their credentials to get access to shared server folders despite being on a domain account already.
Last week one of the computers intermittently cannot gain access to the shared folders– entering the correct credentials just results in the credentials being requested again and again: There’s an error icon at the bottom saying that “there are currently
no logon servers available to service the logon request”. While access is rejected I’m still able to ping the DC both via its name and IPV4 address.
(Pinging via its name results in an IPv6 address in the response.)
Other network connectivity appears intact (able to browse the web, perform network discovery.)
Things that ‘seem’ to allow access on this computer until the next failure:
Entering a different domain username and password into the windows credentials request has allowed access a couple of times.
Disconnecting and reconnecting the network cable allowed the original username to be used to log on (at least once.)
After removing it from and then rejoining it to the domain (a few hours ago) it experienced the problem once more. Also, logging on with domain credentials created a TEMP user folder instead of the folder with the domain username.
Looking at the event logs, I notice there are quite a few warnings and errors reported regarding DC access on many of the computers; maybe this is normal?
Most Problematic Computer:
Event ID 8016: System failed to register host A or AAAA resource records. (With an unknown Ipv6 and the server’s ipv4 address in the DNS server list.)
Event ID 131: NtpClient unable to set a domain peer to use as a time source because of DNS resolution error on ‘Server.domain.local’
‘No such host is known.”
Event ID 5719: NETLOGON. This computer was not able to setup a secure session with a domain controller in the domain due …..: there are currently no logon servers available to service the logon request.
And then pairs of: Event 1500: The Group Policy settings for the computer were processed successfully. There were no changes detected since the last successful processing of Group Policy. & Event 1054:
The processing of Group Policy failed. Windows could not obtain the name of a domain controller. This could be caused by a name resolution failure. Verify your Domain Name System (DNS) is configured and working correctly.
Event 1030: The processing of Group Policy failed. Windows attempted to retrieve new Group Policy settings for this user or computer. Look in the details tab for error code and description. Windows will automatically retry this operation
at the next refresh cycle. Computers joined to the domain must have proper name resolution and network connectivity to a domain controller for discovery of new Group Policy objects and settings. An event will be logged when Group Policy is successful.
On the server I’ve run DCDIAG and DCDIAG /test:DNS and those all appeared to pass.

Any thoughts? I was assuming it was a Domain Controller/DNS error, but I don't know where to check next. Could a failing piece of hardware be the culprit?
Thanks,
-JTHi,
According to the error you have posted.
A Netlogon 5719 event indicates that the client component of Netlogon was unable to locate a DC for the domain it was trying to perform an operation against.
Most of the time this is caused by network issues or name resolution (DNS/WINS) issues, you could refer to:

Replication error on windows 2012 DC
Hi,
I have added Windows 2012 R2 server (cadpdc1) to windows 2003 sp2 DC (Primary DC) and promoted it as DC. After the promote I have ran dcdiag and it shows errors.
Each of servers have three NICs connected to different networks.
Please help me with your expertise since I need to bring this up on monday.
Thank you
Kind regards
Chamara

Error trying to Connect to WSE 2012 R2 with Connector Software - The server is not available
I had to completely reset my MS Surface Pro 3 due to virus activity, so it was wiped and reinstalled. It had previously connected to the Server without
hiccup. Ever since doing this I cannot reconnect using the SERVERNAME\Connect process - it continually fails. I have reviewed the forums and web for a week trying different solutions to no avail. I would appreciate it if someone could advise?
I have:
Ensured that the Connector Software update is not installed from Installed Updates
Checked the Bindings in IIS Manager against the WSS Certificate Web Service and it is set to SERVERNAME.
Ensured my time on the Client is synchronised
Tried connecting using the original PC-Name and when that didn't work, I have tried a new name and removed the old device from the server.
I have ensured that I am on a Workgroup.
The install process finds the server sets up connector and asks for my network user name and password and then continues for a fair time until it
comes back with the error”:
"The server is not available/ Try connecting this computer again, of for more information, see Troubleshoot connecting computers to the server.”
I am not sure how much of the log to include as it all doesn’t fit:

I would appreciate any help I can get please as I am a novice and do not understand a lot about the certificate and DNS errors.Would you please try manually set the DNS address on client NIC to the IP of your server, then try run the connector again?

Cross Domain Connection Issues with Test Controller
I am having trouble resolving a problem I have connecting a build agent with the test controller in a cross domain environment. I have purged out the actual machine names, domain names, and IP addresses just in case that is a security concern.
Situation is this:
All machines are running Visual Studio 2013
Test controller/agents are on Windows Server 2012 R2
Test controller is installed as stand-alone in order to be able to do load testing, as well as API and CodedUI.
Build definition in TFS kicks off the automation using testsettings file to point to build controller
Application under test uses resources in the ABC.XYZ domain. Test agents need to be in ABC.XYZ in order to test application E2E.
TFS is in Main.corp.company.com domain.
Test controller is a dual-homed box in corp.company.com and ABC.XYZ domains. It are accessible from Main using the corp.company.com NIC.
All our dual homed boxes are set up this way. Dual homed with Main and ABC directly is considered a security violation.
From the dual homed box, logged in with my ABC credentials, I can access TFS in Main using my Main credentials.
Manually, I can successfully kick off a test run from a command line from a VM in ABC.
Build controller and build agents are in Main.corp.company.com.
Build controller can successfully connect to build agent, and build agent successfully builds the automation.
Build agent fails to connect to build controller:
Failed to queue test run 'buildagent@MachineOne 2014-08-12 12:35:34_Any CPU_Debug': No such host is known
I can ping the build controller from the test agent, and I can successfully query port 6901:
Querying target system called:
testcontroller.corp.company.com
Attempting to resolve name to IP address...
Name resolved to 10.10.10.111
TCP port 6901 (unknown service): LISTENING
Firewall is turned off on the test controller. Even if it wasn’t, the relevant rules allowing port 6901 and File and Printer Sharing are created.
Local Security Policy | Security Options | Network access: Sharing & security model = classic
NETBIOS names of the test agents and build agent are set in the test controller’s hosts file (they were pingable without this anyway)
NETBIOS name of the test controller is set in the test agent’s hosts file (it was pingable without this anyway)
Tried both simple NETBIOS name and FSDN for test controller in testsettings file
Considering installing a build agent on the same machine as the test controller, but suspect that would just move my communication problem to build controller : build agent
Considering moving test controller to Main and making the four test agents dual-homed, but there is a concern to limit the number of dual-homed boxes, and also suspect that would again just move the communication problem.
I can use netstat to verify that the service is listening to port 6901 on both NICs:
TCP 0.0.0.0:6901 0.0.0.0:0 LISTENING 6536
TCP [::]:6901 [::]:0 LISTENING
6536
(PID 6536 is the QTController.exe)
However the VSTTController.log only mentions listening to the ABC NIC. Since the connection to the ABC test agents works, that makes sense.
When I open the testsettings file on my laptop in the Main domain and examine the server name, there is a warning that the host cannot be found. When I open it on a VM in the ABC domain I am able to manage the test controller and view all the test
agents. However, if I try to restart the build controller I get an access denied error. Not sure if that is related in some way.
I am using a ABC domain service account to run the test agent sevice. There is a Main domain service account running the build. Both service accounts are administrators on the test controller and in the TeatTestControllerAdmins and TeatTestControllerUsers
groups. The test agent service account is also in the TeamTestAgentService group.
I tried to create a port proxy to forward requests from the Main facing NIC to the port on the ABC facing NIC:
netsh interface portproxy add v4tov4 listenport=6901 listenaddress=10.10.10.111 connectport=6901 connectaddress=10.20.20.222
This almost worked. I could see with netstat commands that the port was opened and a connection was established with the build agent, however after a long wait it hit an error that it couldn’t find the ABC NIC:
A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond 10.20.20.222:6901
So apparently the ABC IP is getting forwarded back to the test agent, which then of course can’t use it.
I am running out of ideas to try. Not sure where the problem is:
Cross-domain issue between Main.corp.company.com and corp.company.com? Or,
Problem with the test controller not being able to listen on more than one NIC?
I know I am not the first person to try to set up something cross domain. Most of the troubleshooting suggestions I have been able to bing have been about fixing connections between test controller and test agents, which isn’t the problem here.
Is this set up just so far from standard that VS can’t handle it?
Thanks in advance,
GaryHi Gary,
Thank you for posting in the MSDN forum.

Just to make this issue clearly, you mean that it is not the Test Controller and Test Agent issue, am I right?
As you said that it is related to the Build controller and build Agent, am I right?
If it is related to the Build Controller and Build Agent, I suggest you post this issue to the TFS forum, there you would get dedicated support.

For the remote control only:
Not very helpful post. Could you post CMRcViewer.log that's located in

On the client end, please post CmRcService.log from %windir%\ccm\logs
yes i configure boundary good
For the remote control only: i got this error
1- ( A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond. (Error: 8007274C; Source: Windows)
2- Address Lookup failed for the target host: xxxxxxxxx
No such host is known. (Error: 80072AF9; Source: Windows)
3- Failed to connect to remote system. This can be caused by several conditions: system is turned off, system cannot be reached, windows firewall blocks TCP Port 2701, or remote control feature is disabled.

SCOM 2012 - ServiceNow connector - alert status "Forward Pending"
Hi,
Installed the connector available under here:
http://www.servicenowguru.com/integration-tools/integration-update-sets/
Steps followed: http://wiki.service-now.com/index.php?title=Microsoft_System_Center_Operations_Manager_SCOM_Integration
However, the alert status is "Forward Pending". What can be the reason behind it?
Anyone have the correct configuration steps for this connector? Following warning message logged every second in event viewer:
Exception in timer function:No such host is known
Any suggestions much appreciated!!For this issue, you can check below link

Mike BrownAccording to the log it definitely looks like a SQL permissions issue. I assume you are using your own account to install which you say is a local admin on the SQL box as well as a sysadmin in SQL.
Best practice would be to create a designated installer service account. Try creating a new service account and give it SQL sysadmin and local user on the SQL machine. Then run the installer as the account.
Also, are scripts enabled to run on the SQL machine?

Cannot not connect to SQL Server instance.
Hello,
I have SQL Server 2012 installed and when I run this command:
sc query mssql$MSSQLSERVER
I get this error:
[SC] EnumQueryServicesStatus:OpenService FAILED 1060:
The specified service does not exist as an installed service.
I run this command on the same server where SQL Server is installed. Databases are on the same server too. TCP/IP is enabled for the instance and port 1433 is open on the server's firewall. SQL Server Browser is running.
Many errors in the SQL Server error logs like:
SQLServer Error: 11001, A network-related or instance-specific error has occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server. Server is not found or not accessible. Check if instance name is correct.
SQLServer Error: 11001, TCP Provider: No such host is known. [SQLSTATE 08001]
Any ideas what could have gone wrong?
Thanks,
Paul
PaulHi Paul,
According to your description, you fail to connect to SQL Server 2012 instance. According to the SQL Server error log, based on my research, your issue could be due to that
the client cannot resolve the name of the SQL Server instance.
Are the errors from the SQL Server error log solved? If the errors are not solved, please follow the steps below to troubleshoot the issue.
1. Make sure you are able to ping the physical server where SQL Server is installed from the client machine. If not, you can try to connect to the SQL Server using an IP Address (for default instance) or IP Address\Instance Name
for a named instance.
2. Make sure you are using the correct instance name. When you connect to a default instance, machine name is the best representative for the instance name and when you connect to a named instance such as sqlexpress, you should
specify machinename\instancename according to
Niting123’s post. And you could verify if you use the right instance name in SQL Server configuration manager according to
Niting123’s post.
3. Check that SQL Server is in the network. You can use the SQLCMD -L command to retrieve the list of SQL Server installed in the network. Note that this will only return SQL Servers if the SQL Server Browser service is running.
4. Make sure that you enable Named Pipes besides TCP/IP protocol.
5. Check to see if remote connections is enabled. Right click on the server name in SSMS and select Properties. Go to the Connections tab and make sure Allow remote connection to this server is checked.
6. Locally connect to SQL Server and check the error log for the port entry.
7. To connect to SQL Server instance using TCP/IP from another computer, on the SQL Server computer, you must configure the firewall to allow connections to the TCP port used by the Database Engine. If you are connecting to a named
instance or a port other than TCP port 1433, you must also open the UDP port 1434 for the SQL Server Browser service according to pasquale’s post.
For step by step instruction on opening a port in the Windows firewall, see
How to: Configure a Windows Firewall for Database Engine Access
For more information about the process, please refer to the article:
http://www.mssqltips.com/sqlservertip/2340/resolving-could-not-open-a-connection-to-sql-server-errors/
In addition, you mention that there are many other errors, so please provide the SQL Server error log for analysis.

To verify that Reporting Services is configured correctly
Verify that the ReportServer and ReportServerTempDB databases in SQL Server Management Studio are located on the stand-alone server.
Verify the correct configuration of SQL Server Reporting Services. Click Start, point to Programs, point to the appropriate offering of Microsoft SQL Server, point to Configuration Tools, and then click Reporting Services Configuration Manager. Connect
to the instance on which you installed Reporting Services.
3.In the navigation pane, select the <servername>\SQLinstance. This displays the Report Server status in the results pane. Ensure that the Report Server Status is Started.
4.In the navigation pane, select Scale-out Deployment, and then ensure that the Status column has the value of Joined.
5.Verify that the Report Server website is functioning and available by browsing to
http://servername/reportserver_<$instance>. You should see a page with the <servername>/ReportServer_<$INSTANCE> and the text, Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services Version ##.#.####.##
where the # is the version number of your SQL Server installation.
6.Verify that the Report Manager website is configured correctly by opening Internet Explorer and browsing to <a href="http:///reports_<instance">http://<servername>/reports_<instance>.
7.In the Report Manager website, click New Folder to create a new folder. Enter a name and description, and then click OK. Ensure that the new, created folder is visible on the Report Manager website.

USE a SQL Alias when configuring SSRS wizard.
I am using SSRS 2008 R2.
on my SSRS machine. I went and created the SQL Alias (both for 32 bit and the other one)
Then I ran the SSRS configuration wizard and tried to configure teh SSRS service to create a report server database by using a SQL Alias.
it connects to the DB fine but at the last step it gives an error saying no such host.
Has anyone been able to configure SSRS Service when they used an alias for the sql server?
val it: unit=()Hi,
I have created a report server database using a SQL Server Account, and everything goes well. Generally, the error message “No such host is known” indicates the target server is not available or refusing the connection. First, ensure the target database
server is configured to use the “SQL Server and Windows Authentication mode”.
From your description, on the “Database Server” tab of the “Report Server Database Configuration Wizard”, it connects to the database server successfully after typing the SQL Server Account credentials. Right?
If so, please ensure to select “SQL Server Credentials” on the “Credentials” tab.
If not, please input the SQL Server account credentials on the “Database Server” tab, and test the connection.
If the issue persists, please post the error details as well as the related error message in the Reporting Services Log file.

Hyper-V Replica Broker resource not coming online
I was trying to create a cluster broker on a cluster using WMI. I am creating the required IPv4, IPv6 network resources and adding them as a dependency on the Hyper-V replica broker resource. When trying to bring the broker online, the Hyper-V Replica Broker
resource is failing to come online with the below errors.
INFO [NM] Received request from client address HRM-08-007.
ERR [RES] Virtual Machine Replication Broker <Hyper-V Replica Broker C10022014XXXX>: 'Hyper-V Replica Broker C10022014XXXX' failed to start the network listener on destination node 'MachineName': No such host is known. (0x80072AF9). Please
look at the event log on destination node for more details.
WARN [RES] Virtual Machine Replication Broker <Hyper-V Replica Broker C10022014XXXX>: 'Hyper-V Replica Broker C10022014XXXX' failed to start the network listener for the Hyper-V Replica Broker resource: Unspecified error (0x80004005).
The node 'MachineName' does exist.
What might be the issue? How to debug this.Would be helpful to post your WMI script. Pretty hard to guess at the commands you are trying to use to accomplish this.
And what did the event log say in the destination node?
