DW will not upload files!

Hello all!
I am having trouble with DW uploading files through FTP. I
can upload a new
file and all is fine, but when I try to upload a file that
already exists
( a file on the remote server that I have updated and then
uploaded), DW
will not overwrite the existing file on the server.
It comes up with a box and tells me that the file on the
server is newer and
do I want to overwrite it and I click YES TO ALL, but it
still doesnt
overwrite the server file.
How does this happen and how do I fix it?
Please help!
Jason

Does the timestamp on the remote file change?

  • Dreamweaver will not upload file to Server

I am having an issue uploading files to the server with Dreamweaver. I have been using Creative Cloud for 6 months and the issue started Monday.
If I select a file, click put icon the FTP access connects to the server successfully. However, the FTP log says "file not transferred - same" and does not transfer the file to the server. The file has been edited, saved and shows the changes in Dreamweaver and in my browser locally.
I have rebuilt the site cache in Dreamweaver going to Site -> Advanced -> Rebuild Site Cache. Did not resolve the issue.
I deleted the file on the server (using another FTP program) and Dreamweaver still will not upload the .html file to the server, thus the file is missing. Then I have to upload via another FTP program.
I am able to upload edited files successfully from another computer that is using Dreamweaver CS 6, so it is not a server problem.
Does anyone know how to correct this?

Are both computers on the same router? Can you move the computer that's failing to upload onto a different network?
I ran into something similar to this a while back, only I couldn't get it to work from any machine on my home network, it was fine from the office, but it wouldn't upload anything at home. Turned out my router went bad and didn't like certain kinds of traffic. I ended up replacing it and everything worked fine.

  • Will not upload files

I cannot upload any file to a website. It used to work and now it does not. I have tried restarting and reloading Safari but it still will not work.

Well, iPod let's me upload iTunes purchases. Wonder why? With the rest of the library it gets to about 500 of 2700 songs and the error message shows up. It all started when I downloaded a free video from the store. I had my whole library on the iPod, but when I tried to play the free video, then the iPod froze. After restarting it, everything was erased. I don't know if it's a glitch in iTunes 7 or what. In any case, I want to exchange this **** thing because I have spent to many hours deleting, downloading, restoring... You get the picture. If anybody hears of a solution, then I'd love to know. Once again, the troubleshooting guide did not work.

  • Safari will not upload file to a server

I tried to upload a file to my university web server, and got this message:
    Safari can’t open the page.
Safari can’t open the page “https://onenet.ucd.ie/oneNet/NetStorage/HOME@UCD-TREE/FILES/?session=null”. The error was: “POSIX error: Is a directory” (NSPOSIXErrorDomain:21) Please choose Report Bug to Apple from the Safari menu, note the error number, and describe what you did before you saw this message.
    Any ideas?

To determine if the folder is blocked, in your finder (column mode) navigate to:
    HD/Users/Your User Account/Library/Caches/Safari.
Single click on Safari, then apple key + I to bring up the info panel. If the folder is not accessible, the "locked" box will be checked, and/or the permissions will say "read only". If either apply, uncheck lock and/or change permissions to "read and write".
If the folder is not locked/ or permissions are OK, move it to the trash and restart Safari to create a new cache folder. Try the upload.
    Post back.

  • IPod will not upload files

My 80 GB iPod crashed and prompted me to restore the settings. I did that and lost my music library. When I tried to upload it, I received two error messages: the first-- ERROR WINDOWS DELAY WRITE Windows was unable to save all the data for the file E:\iPodControlArtworkF10281.ithmb. The data has been lost. This error may be caused by a failure of your computer hardware or network connection. Please try to save this file elsewhere.
and the second-- iTunes error: The iPod cannot be updated. The disk could not be read from or written to.
I tried deleting iTunes and downloading version 7.0 a few ties and restoring the iPod, but I had no success.
Please advise me on how to proceed. Thanks.

I have latest Firefox, Windows 7, 64 bit. Yahoo Mail - latest version
When I try to attach a file, it just sits there with the progress bar and never completes. Doing the same thing with Internet explorer it happens just fine in a couple of seconds.
I have tried the drag and drop method as well as the attach file ICON in the email.
Any idea what is wrong with Firefox?

Adobe retired this Feb 17, 2014.
This app sent content to and got content from the web based services of "CreatPDF" and "PDF Pack".
These are subscription services out in "the cloud". When the app was live you had to be online and signed into your account.  The user forum for CreatePDF has a DOC that speaks to the app removal.

    As a Test:

If your file is 731 mBytes on HD it may be highly larger when it is expanded.
Yesterdays I built a doc for my grandson with 12 pictures.
On disk, the file is using 901 Kbytes.
When I open it, the Ram used by Pages jump from 84 Mbytes to 104 Mbytes which means that the used Ram is about 20 times the file size.
I made the same test with a document containing only text. It's 2.7 Mbytes on disk and use 20Mbytes in Ram too.
So, what is surprising isn't that you are unable to open it, it's how you created it. I assume that you were using an other machine.

file will not upload, what to do

    Hi John,
There is a size limit of 10GB for ExportPDF.
It also may depend on what type of document it was prior to being converted to PDF. Are there pictures or was it scanned? Are you trying to convert it to Excel or Word?
If you would like, I can take a look at the document to see what I can do? If so you are welcome to email it to me directly: [email protected]
Looking forward to hearing back from you!
    Kind regards, Stacy

  • Index.htm will NOT upload . . .  desperate : /

This is my own site which I've run for 3 years. Same
computer, same program, didn't touch site set up, firewalls or
anything. This morning I make a few quick text changes to the
homepage and the file will not upload. It has in fact wiped out my
entire homepage because once it did kind of upload but some "files
were skipped during the operation". Yeah. Some files. Like, all of
    them. (
    http://www.ExchangeHJ.com)
The error is "no response from server" However, I created
    this file:
    http://www.exchangehj.com/test.html
    and it uploaded just fine.
I can also connect to other sites on different servers and
    upload fine.
It appears to be just index.htm. I have tried to change the
name to default.html, still will not upload
(Made switch to CS3 last year so all newer files are html and
old files are htm, has never caused a problem as long as the links
    are right everywhere)
Please, any ideas? This is a online company web site, a blank
homepage is not okay. And it's killing my saturday . . . I just
wanted to post a quick note to the site :(
The rest of the site is still there:
    http://www.exchangehj.com/equineMarketing.htm
If you try to go to home page from there you get Page Not
Found (it calls specifically for index.htm)
If you just type site url it come up blank.
    help. thank you.

    Talk to your host. Quickly.

I'm attempting to update our webpage (tcmfellowship.org) with a video and slideshow. The video works but I receive an error message when attemping to upload Spry Image Slide Show. • Itunes Match: iTunes will match songs in library, will not upload songs not in library. It

Itunes match is going through the endless 3 step cycle for several days now. It will match songs that are in the Itunes Library, it will not upload any songs that are not "matched"
I have tried alot of solutions, turn off match, turn back on, deauthorize, authorize, reboot, exit itunes, delete songs, add songs, turn off auto renew, plug in ethernet, wifi, basically anything posted on here.
Anyones help would be greatly appreciated. Ive been an Apple customer for decades, and this is one of the times where I am greatly disappointed. Thanks.

Yes, itunes just sets a pointer to the Windows files in its ITL database.http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1660
If you have itunes preference to copy files to your itunes music folder, then it does copy them there and you might now have two copies of the same song. But itunes will probably be using the copy in the itunes music folder.
This section of this article might explain it better
