  • Error when trying to install Adobe Acrobat Pro, recently purchased.

Recently purchased Adobe Acrobat Pro, when trying to install get an error message 'Your account subscription cannot be validated'. Have tried several times, double checked login etc, but same message each time.
Please help, how to fix this issue??

    Hi camelon,
Please delete the "Acrobat" and "OOBE" folders found in
    on Mac: <yourusername>/Library/Application Support/Adobe
    on Windows XP: <youruser>\Local Settings\Application Data\Adobe
    on Windows 7: <youruser>\AppData\Local\Adobe
and delete the "Acrobat" folder found in
    on Mac: <yourusername>/Library/Preferences
    on Windows XP: <youruser>\Local Settings\
    on Windows 7: <youruser>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe
Then launch Acrobat. It will go through the first launch experience of asking for UI language, AdobeID, etc.
If there's no change in behavior, please attempt to go to:
    https://na1mbls.licenses.adobe.com
If you can't get to this website there may be a firewall or other software blocking the connection. Acrobat must be able to reach this https URL and 3 others in order to complete and monitor the subscription/trial process.
If you can view the page at this URL, then please send the PDApp.log and amt3.log file from
    on Mac: <yourusername>/Library/Logs/PDApp.log
    on Windows 7: <youruser>\AppData\Local\Temp
    to [email protected]

Trying to install this piece of crap program from adobe "acrobat" that they offer no support for. It is 11 Standard and I have windows 8 and keeps telling me in error can't complete instillation. No other details. Any ideas? Can't believe they sell this for the price of a tv and offer only us to help each other.

    Hi Jennifer ,
Sorry to hear that you are experiencing with Acrobat .
Could you please tell is there any error number or exit code mentioned along with the error message ?
It might be possible due to insufficient space on your machine ,it is not letting you install Acrobat .
You could try deleting the temporary files from your system once and check if that helps .And make sure all the third party software are disabled while the installation is in progress .
I would also suggest you to refer the following document to seek help .Have a look at this document and see if that fixes the issue .

  • Installations stops when trying to install Adobe Acrobat XI on Mac OS 10.8.4

I kept getting this message that Adobe Acrobat was not able to update the software and so I decided I would just update my software from Adobe Acrobat Pro 9 for mac to vs 11.  I called tech support and they told me to uninstall acrobat 9 Pro completely first, which I did.  Now, I have downloaded version 11 and tried installing this via the trial (wanted to make sure it worked) and as it goes through the install process, it gets hung up with one minute to go trying to rewrite script files.  It stays like this for enternity.  If you right click on installer to force quit the install, it won't let you.  If you go to the apple sign and force quit it from the menu, it will kill the installer.  However, the computer won't shut down because it still thinks it is installing software.  So the only way to kill it is to do a hard reset.   I called tech support and was on hold for for 40 minutes and then the tech tried for an hour to fix this.  This included deleting the uninstall program for Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro and also reinstalling the software from a fresh download that he sent me.  I still had the same result.
To make matters worse, I only have Acrobat Pro v 8 on disc (there was a free vs 9 upgrade that was online that I got) and as a result, I don't have version 9 to install back onto the computer.  The tech was going to try to send me a link to download version 9 but he wasn't sure he could do it.  Someone was going to get back to me, but no one has yet.  So now, not only do I not have version 11, I don't even have my old version 9!!!!  My only option is to go back to version 8 which I have the disk for.  This is ridiculous.  So if anyone out there has some suggestions on how I can get version 11 to install, that would be great.  I am running Mac OS X 10.8.4 on a 13" Macbook Pro with Retina.  Thanks.

I've been scouring every place I can possibly think of for nearly four hours trying to find an Acrobat 9 Mac download - no luck I can find Windows downloads back to 8, but nothing for Mac.

    Hi Holli94,
Can you please check the permissions on the following folders and confirm if you have full Read & Write permission or not. If not, please give full permission and that should fix the problem.
    1) /Library/ApplicationSupport/Adobe
    2) ~/Library/ApplicationSupport/Adobe
    3)/Utilities/Adobe Application Manager
    4) /Utilities/Creative Cloud Desktop Application.
    Cheers,

  • Why am I getting a 1712 error when trying to open Adobe Acrobat?

This just started today.  Other Adobe CS6 applications work fine.  How do I get rid of the error and make it work again?  Thanks.

As Jim as stated, you do not want the OS, video app, and media all competing for hard drive access.
It may have worked before, but that doesn't mean will work henceforth, as you have learned.
A FW800 portable drive will cost about $75.00.

  • Corrupt content from reliable source error when trying to install Adobe XI.

    Hi folks,
I seem to be getting this error more often than not lately.  I am a CSS in a College environment.  Mostly trying to download the latest version on Win 7 32 bit systems.  I've noticed the problem moreso in the last week or two.  Prior to that I had seen it a couple of times but persistance usually paid off.
Any ideas on what is causing this or how to fix it?
    Thanks,
    Joanne

No Prob - CSS - Computer Support Specialist!
I didn't get it to work with the enterprise page but I think I've come to realize that our firewall has blocked it for virus reasons.  I suspected as much but because it's only been recently I was wondering if anyone else was getting the same error.  Here is what I get now - This request is blocked by the SonicWALL Anti-Spyware Service. Name: Babylon.ADW (Trojan)
I guess I"ll have to talk to our firewall folks to let me through.
    Thanks much,
    Joanne
