DW8 and Recordset collation

Hi everyone
My problem is not new but i didn't solve it completely. When
i working with PHP MySQL server model in Dreamweaver 8 i have the
collation problem with results on my pages. It can be well when the
adding this code after mysql_select_db() line in the pages.
the fixing code is;
mysql_query("SET NAMES 'latin5'");
well, problem was solved however the recordset is damaged in
DW Bindings panel and i didn't use the drag-drop properties
anymore.
I wonder that, the developer can add collation support for
PHP MySQL recordsets in DW for new versions or publish a fix
extension for this problem. It would be so nice, wouldnt it?
whatever i try the modify the DW's ServerBehaviors commands
for this, it was worked but a mysql error appear on the Bindings
panel. I changed ~Dreamweaver
8\Configuration\ServerBehaviors\PHP_MySQL\Recordset_main.edml
source code for first step and i get this error message from
bindings panel. Is there anyone has idea for solves of this
problem. It can be very helpful for other collation needed
developers :)
thanx everyone already now

i made an extension for this please check this out

  • Use DW8 and DW-CS3 on same machine

    I have DW8, and bought CS3 upgrade (actually, Studio 8 to CS3

    I need to be able to keep DW8 as is, with all extensions.
    Will installation of the CS3 upgrade screw up my current Studio 8
    installation/configuration?

    Tom:
    If I use your first method listed, will I then be able to
    install the
    updated version of the extension?

  • Remote host ftp error dw8 and Mac OS X using airport

    I'm learning PHP at a local tech school and can put files and
    can connect to my SQL database at the school using DW CS3 and Win
    XP. I have a wired connection at school. However, when I try to
    work on my site at home on my Mac using OS X 10.4.11 and DW8 I
    receive the error: "An FTP error occurred cannot make connection to

    I'm am using passive ftp in dw8 and in my network preferences
    on my Mac. I've double checked my settings for the site definition
    and cannot find anything wrong. I'm using the same site definition
    at school and at home. Since I can connect at school I think it may
    be a problem with my firewall and airport. FTP on port 21 is
    allowed under firewall preferences.
    Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. I am thoroughly
    confused!

    If you home is not on the same network as your school I'm
    surprised you can

  • HP Scan and Capture collate

    I'm using the HP Scan and Capture app on an HP Envy desktop using Windows 8.1 and an HP Officejet 6500A Plus multi-function scanner.
    When I do a two-sided scan using Scan and Capture it doesn't collate the pages.  For example, if I have a four-page document the page order will come out as 1-3-4-2.  I then need to isolate p. 2 and drag it to the proper spot.
    This is a nuisance for a four-page document, and it is unworkable for a 25-page document.
    The work-around is to use the printer's native software, which does properly collate two-sided documents.  However, the native software is not as user-friendly as Scan and Capture.
    I thought the new HP app working with a new HP Envy with an HP scanner should be able to handle the collate function.  Am I missing something here?

  • Select Query and Recordset on same page

    I have been workig with Coldfusion for a while now.  Where I work there is a need for web pages to extract data from data sources.  I have been successful at doing this.  Typically I use a form that selects multiple criteria, which when submitted loads a target/action page that displays records that are filtered based on the SQL statement contained on that action page.  What I do is to conditionally check if criteria is passed using cfif.  And if a field parameter is indeed passed it becomes part of the cfquery.  This works out well - especially for reporting.
    But now I am seeing more and more a need to accomplish the same process - but on a single cfm page.  So the page I seek will have both the form (select) and the recordset results on the same page.
    In this exercise I will be caching results od a query and having several queries to further refine what I seek (QOQ).  What I am seeking is the best practice to follow, I was thinking that using an iframe on the page would be and adequate solution whereby the query would pass the criteria and its form action would pass the variable(s) to the action page, which would be the source of the iframe.  But I am not certain that this is a best proctice.  Nor have I had great success at getting the pages to work in concert.
    Any advice that you can lend would be appreciated.

    I ideally start by reducing the 2-page functionality - of form page and action page - to just one. It goes like this:
    <cfset isValidationPassed = false>
    <cfif isDefined("form.someVar")>
    <!--- Do validation. Validated form implies isValidationPassed is true --->
    </cfif>
    <cfif isValidationPassed>
    <!--- Do action page stuff --->
    <cfelseif NOT isDefined("form.someVar") OR NOT isValidationPassed>
    <!--- Display the form. --->
    <!--- If form had been submitted, inform user which validation failed, and what to correct. Display the form. --->
    <cfoutput><form method="post" action="#CGI.SCRIPT_NAME#"></cfoutput>
    </form>
    </cfif>
    The idea is then to pile on the complexity, layer by layer.

  • ConfigMgr 2012 R2 and SQL Collation

    I am planning to install a new ConfigMgr 2012 R2 server and use SQL Server 2012 SP2.
    Does ConfigMgr 2012 R2 already support other SQL Collations than "SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AS"?
    In other System Center 2012 R2 products "SQL_* collations are being deprecated for their Windows equivalents" according to

    Generally speaking, no. There are two exceptions for use in China, see also:

  • Want to upgrade 2008 R2 to 2012. Upgrade advisor giving errors relating to Database Compatability Level and Server Collation

    I want to upgrade a SQL Server from 2008 R2 to 2012.  When I run upgrade advisor, I get the following error messages:
    Rule "Valid Database compatibility level and successful connection" failed.
    The report server database is not a supported compatibility level or a connection cannot be established.  Use Reporting Services Configuration Manager to verify the report server configuration and SQL Server management tools to verify the compatibility
    level.
    Rule "Valid Database server collation and successful connection" failed.
    The SQL Server Database Engine is not configured with a valid server collation and cannot be used as the Reporting Services SharePoint Shared Service catalog database.
    The database called ReportServer has Collation = Latin1_General_Cl_AS_KS_WS and Compatibility level = 100

    Hi Andrew,
    Regarding to the first error message, please check the Reporting Service Configuration Manager, make sure that you connect to ReportServer database from the correct server
     and use servername\instancename format connection string. For more details, please review this similar
    thread.
    Regarding to the second error, it is caused by that the current SQL Server Database Engine server is using an incompatible server collation.
    SQL Server 2012 Reporting Services SharePoint mode utilizes the SharePoint shared services architecture. SharePoint does not support SQL Server Database Engine configured for case sensitive or server collations or binary server collations.
    And since the SQL Server Database Engine server collation property cannot be changed, you will not be able to complete an upgrade of Reporting Services. You will need to migrate your Reporting Services installation to a new server which is using a compatible
    server collation. For more details, please review the following article:

  • DW8 and "browser-safe" scripts

    I don't know if this is a bug in DW8 or a local problem, and
    it's not really important either way, but I did want to get it off
    my chest. When I open a HTML page containing a Shockwave movie
    embedded with an <object> tag into DW8, I get the prompt that
    the <object> tag may not work properly with recent versions
    of IE, and do I want to use a browser-safe script instead? Out of
    curiousity I've given this a go and uploaded a test page, and
    amusingly the page now gives two runtime errors in IE6 which prompt
    you to run the Microsoft Debugger - see
    http://www.nottingham.ac.uk/nursing/sonet/test/dyslexia_test/2.html.
    No such problem in Mozilla 1.7, of course. This is probably caused
    by there being other Javascript scripts on the page, but it did
    make me chortle anyway. "Browser-safe", eh? ;-)
    I was hoping that the fix might kill the irritating but
    non-fatal IE prompt you sometimes get on pages with Shockwave
    movies, which prompts you to click Ok to run ActiveX content, but I
    think I'll live with that rather than runtime errors...
    Cheers
    Fred

    "Browser-safe", eh? ;-)
    Definitely. Are you talking shockwave or Flash? The former is
    for Director
    files, the latter is for errr Flash files.
    Anyhow, your two errors are -
    Line 2, syntax error.
    Line 159, object expected.
    Fix the first by removing this line -
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="iso-8859-1"?>
    It's not needed, and furthermore, it hurts you by putting IE
    into quirks
    mode. I'm not quite sure why it's throwing this js error
    though. <shrug>
    The second error is caused by your failure to upload the
    Scripts folder,
    which contains the function called on line 159 -
    <script type="text/javascript">
    AC_SW_RunContent( '
    Do those things and you'll see a difference.

  • FIM Reporting and SQL collation

    In our existing FIM 2010 R2 implementation, we used the default collation of SQL 2008 R2, which is SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AS.
    However, reading some articles, I got the impression that SQL server will need to be installed with Latin1_General_100_CI_AS collation for installing System Center 2012. I also read that FIM Service database will need to be in the same collation
    (i.e. Latin1_General_100_CI_AS). This means we will need to rebuild the SQL server for FIM service.
    However, reading the following article, I get a different impression. As long as the collation across all the SQL servers is the same, we should be good. Also, it is actually recommended to use SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AS rather than Latin1_General_100_CI_AS.
    In fact, The SCOM data warehouse installer will always install the data warehouse with SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AS regardless of the SQL Server collation.
    http://blogs.technet.com/b/servicemanager/archive/2012/05/24/clarification-on-sql-server-collation-requirements-for-system-center-2012.aspx
    Can anybody please confirm the requirement?

    Thanks Brian
    I am planning to put ALL FIM roles onto two nodes behind F5. I understand that FIM reporting has to be installed with FIMservice so yes I want to install FIM reporting role onto both FIMService nodes. I understand that I CAN do this from your response (thankyou)
    because "there's a safeguard in place to ensure that only one server processes the reporting jobs at a time if it's enabled on more than one FIM Service server
    Can you explain what or how this safeguard works - specifically which FIMService node will run this and how the other FIMService node (2) will pick up the job if the first FIMService (node 1 )fails - do I have to configure anything ?
    Brian- with respect ; is Tomek's reply incorrect in the context of my configuration - otherwise I would need a standalone FIM Service server (not part of the F5 virtual server) running Reporting with no FIM reporting HA (beyond Hyper-V or other single node
    HA options) ?
    I realllllyyyy appreciate this feedback and discussion as I have found very little w3 or forum information about load balancing and HA for FIM reporting (I don't mean the SCSM or DW components)
    Thanks again

  • Installing DW8 and DW CS3

    I have some extensions that does not work with DW CS3, so I
    would like to keep using DW 8, but I would like to get familiar
    with DW CS3 also. How can I install both on the same machine
    without messing up the extensions? I am Mac OSX.
    Thanks in advance for your time.

    I installed Dreamweaver CS3, updated it. Then I installed
    Dreamweaver 8. They are both in different folders and so is their
    own extension managers. Now when I open the extension manager for
    DW8, I cannot see the Dreamweaver 8 in the 'Active Product'
    drop-down box. When I select the mxp and have it open it with DW 8
    Extension manager it says that I need to have DW MX or greater
    installed. I have both installed, but no go.
    Any insight on how you got both to work simultaneously
    ?

  • DW8 and Flash

    My apologies, I'm not sure if I properly conveyed my problem.
    After getting the error message (at bottom of this post), I went on
    Adobe and found a Tutorial entitled "Presenting Video with the
    Flash Video Component in Dreamweaver 8" at the link below:
    http://www.adobe.com/devnet/flash/articles/flv_tutorial.html
    The tutorial says:
    The Macromedia Flash Video component in Dreamweaver 8 helps
    you easily insert and display Flash Video (FLV) files in your
    websites. This article shows you how to use Macromedia Dreamweaver
    to insert and display FLV files on your site, using a template
    website.
    First I got the error message when working on my own DW8
    website. Then on the above Adobe Tutorial I got the same error
    message when I got to step 3 on page 3 of this tutorial:
    Select Insert > Media > Flash Video from the main menu
    to launch the Flash Video Component.
    Error message:
    "Making this change would require changing code that is
    locked by a template or translator."
    Any help you may be able to provide is appreciated.
    Kind regards,
