Dynadock PA3575U-1PRP dynadock U

We have the dynadock PA3575U-1PRP dynadock U and we are trying to get our 2 - HP w17e monitors to work. So they are both native vga monitor. One works fine - the one connected to the VGA output from the dynadock but the the other monitor does not get a signal we are using a vga cable with a vga to dvi converter for dynadock output but nothing works.
We are using a lenova twist computer. We tried another monitor that does have a dvi and it worked fine but wanted t ouse matching monitors.....
Ideas why do they not work?
Is it the signal coming from the dynadock? Monitor?
Please help.....
Thanks
Jerry

Additional information.
So I found another monitor that has dvi so not both screens have a screen except the computer only sees laptop screen and the 1 of the screen. The monitors are mirrors of each other ????
I'm so confused. Why does it not see each monitor. Can this only handle 1 monitor/ This would really be a waste of time. What a cheat!!!
Any ideas? I have he latest 7.7 drivers. I have tried this with 3 laptops with the same results. So clearly it's the dynadock?
It should see 3 ???
Please help? I think i just wasted my money.

Is anyone else having issues with playing back video in Windows Media Player and Move Media Player using the Dynadock? I start the video in the player and can see it playing on my laptop, but the video played on the dynadock is not displaying unless I bring up the menu of the player and keep it up. I have tried in both mirrored and extended mode and neither helps. What I don't understand is why do I see the video in full motion even in full screen when the menu is up.

Solved my issue by going straight to displaylink.com and downloading the video drivers from there. Apparently, the drivers shipping are quite old. Here is the file info on the website to look for DisplayLink USB Graphics Windows Driver 4.6 M2
Spent a good amount of time yesterday testing in mirrored and extended mode. I am quite satisfied now.

  • PA3927U-1PRP Dynadock U3.0 DVI to VGA adapter problem

The adapter does not fit and causes damage to both the dock and the adapter when connected. I purchased one from a very reputable re-seller's website. after attaching the adapter I plugged in my VGA monitor and there was no picture. When I disconnected the adapter, I saw that DVI port on the dock was damaged, and the pins on the adapter were slightly bent. There was a little resistance when I pushed it on, but I thought it was just a nice tight fit. I returned the dock to the reseller, and received a new one. When I try to use the adapter, once again it does not go on easily, so I did not force it. I have a couple of DVI to HDMI adapters that go on smoothly and cause no problems. But I need to connect this dock to a VGA monitor. This is the main reason I bought the Dynadock, because it came with a DVI to VGA adapter. I don't want to keep returning it until I get one that works, and I don't think I should have to spend extra money to buy an adapter that works when one should be supplied. Please advise what I should do. Chris

  • Linux driver for Dynadock PA3575E-1PRP

We have several Dynadock at work and are migrating to Linux. Is there a driver for it?
    Thanks.

    Hello
Toshiba doesnt offer support for Linux so on official Toshiba download page you will not find any Linux driver for it.

  • Dynadock No Ethernet Lenovo ThinkPad

I have a user at my company that has the Dynadock PA3575U-1PRP working on his Sony Vaio laptop, we just issued him a new Lenovo Thinkpad Edge E540 and everything on it works except for the Ethernet port, even after installing the latest drivers from the support section of this website. I have rebooted the dock and laptop itself multiple times but nothing seems to fix it. Also in Device Manager instead of "Unknown device" it shows a bunch of Asian characters.
Looking at his old laptop there are two Ethernet adapters installed (along with the typical Intel adapter), but I'm not sure which one is for the dock. I believe it's the Asix adapter, can someone confirm this for me?

  • Displaylink in Toshiba Dynadock U3 stopps working after a fews mintues

I also have opened a Thread in the Displaylink supportforum, but they dont find any solution.
I have buyed a Toshiba Dynadock U3 ( and i am very angry about this, to play beta tester for this s**product!)
it works... a couple of minutes.. than the monitor hangs up... reconnect power and it works also.
on usb 2.0 it works fine, without any error...but on usb 3.0..it lost graphics after 10-30min...i have installed the lastest usb 3.0 driver and the lastest displaylink software.. i have reported the error by displaylink with there support tool.. but they dont find any solution....
Now it is time for toshiba to make me happy and find a solution for this products... its not a finished products.. its a betaDock..not more...
i use it with a Vaio VPCSA4 Notebook ( Ati and Intel HD Graphics)

    > on usb 2.0 it works fine, without any error...but on usb 3.0..it lost graphics after 10-30min
Do you mean that you have no problems using the Dynadock U3 if you connect it to the USB 2.0 USB port of your Vaio notebook?
Did you check if its an notebook issue? Did you test this with other notebooks/computers?
Is power saving disabled for USB 3.0 in your notebook? Usually this can be done in Win 7 power options.
I also found an Dyndock troubleshooting guide on Toshiba US page:

  • New installation will not install correctly

Hello I have used Firefox for a long while now but have just had an update to my system and now when I installed it the screen "wipes out" when the mouse arrow passes over it. I have tried with veston 8, removing nd instlling 7, removing and then 6. This is the odest version I still have but the problem remains. I am using Windows XP sp3. I am blind so I use Dolphin Luna v12 as a screen magnifier and it changes the screen to negative image which is better for me to see. This has never been a problem with Firefox before.
    Many thanks
    Roger

This may not be much help but I had a problem with the Dynadock PA3575U-1PRP also runing on Vista Ultimate 32bit, working fine for a couple of weeks but suddently had problems with my extended montior. Like you Toshiba did not seem to want to know except to tell me to unload and reload the software.
I downloaded the updated 2.3 version with still no luck...the frustrating thing was that I could put another Toshiba laptop onto this dynadock and all worked fine. Eventually I went into control panel....system...device drivers and found I had 2 x Nvidia GeForce 8600M GT drivers installed plus 2 x Toshiba dynadock USB... installed.
Before doing the following make sure you have an external monitor connected to your laptop even if at first you dont see anything.
I disabled one of the Toshiba dynadock drivers under Monitors which did not seem to have a problem with my system. Then I disabled one of the Nvida Display drivers and suddenly I could not see anything on my laptop screen...please remember at this point I could not extend to my external monitor still. So my only option was to power off using my power button and restart my machine...suddenly my external monitor is working although the resolution was bad and my laptop monitor was not...after going to control panel....system...device drivers again and enabling the Nvidia driver and restarting the laptop I suddenly have video on both laptop and external monitor screens.
Why this happened I have no idea but it worked.
So...if you check your devise drivers and find you have 2 of the same driver installed you could be having the same problem.
    Hope this helped.

  • New Dynadoc will NOT operate correctly

    Hi,
we have installed a new dynadoc on a system. We installed the software (download from the site since it's more up to date than the packaged software). It was missing some AX800x80 file or something. But, after a re-boot, Windows found it and fixed that. But, the dynadoc will still NOT run correctly on the machine for anything. It is installed on a Toshiba Tecra laptop, running XP and has a second (external) monitor. Everything on the system runs fine until we plug in the dynadock. First the mouse and keyboard wouln't work. Fixed that with a re-boot.
Then it wouldn't access the network. Got that fixed on ANOTHER (3rd) re-boot. Then second monitor wouldn't work. Got that working for a minute... then it quit. Then the entire laptop shut down! Come to find out it was because the dynadoc was NOT charging up the system with any power (yes.. it's plugged in to the wall).
I uninstalled and re-installed the software. And, still it's not working correctly. (biggest problem is it won't recognize the 2nd monitor).
During installation, I waited to make sure all the video and audio drivers were installed. But, still nothing seems to work right. And, I haven't even gotten to getting the speakers to work again. What a mess! Something as simple as a dynadock is "supposed to be", should not be such a mess.
Of course, there's no one at Toshiba that is available to help with dynadock. How disheartening..and infuriating, but not surprising. Thus far, we are not impressed with dynadock. Slick idea, but the installation of the unit and the software that comes with it seems to be garbage and very unstable.
So, any help from some experts in this category is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks.

  • Re-installing Audio Driver

I recently purchased a new dynadock (model # - dynadock PA3927U-1PRP dynadock U3.0).  During the setup, I received a notice that both the audio and Ethernet drivers had not installed.  Obviously, my dynadock audio has not been working.  I visited the Toshiba trouble shooting site and although it provided information on my current issues:
    1. No Toshiba USB Display DriversThere entity in my "Program and Features"
    2. Device Manager lists my dynadock with a yellow exclamation point
    3. "Sound" in my Control Panel only shows one playback device
So while the site was helpful in identifying my problem, there is NO information on how to reinstall the audio drivers. Appreciate any help this board could provide.  Thanks!

I too had many... many... problems with installing the dynadock software drivers.  I started when I received a new Toshiba Tecra R940 laptop.  I pulled the installed 7200 RPM drive and installed a solid state drive.  This was not the issue, but it meant I needed to install windows from scratch, and there lied the problem.  I had no preinstalled drivers and to hunt them down was a pain.  Net... Net... Since I was not able to get all the Toshiba drivers installed successfully, combined with the already painful issues with the dynadock, I reinstalled the 7200 RPM hard drive with all the preloaded software. Once I did that I was close.  The installation CD that came with the dynadock was a joke. I needed to reload the latest driver from Toshiba which did get the display and USB ports operational.  Next I read this post and navigated to the link provided and installed dynadock LAN and Audio Drivers V2.6.1.1, making sure I OLNY checked the Network and Audio to install.  As I already had the display drivers install at version diaplylink 7.1 I did not want to add to the problem.  From windows 7 driver manager, I still noted the network and audio was highlighted in yellow (disabled).  So I clicked on the Update Driver and had windows search by C:\ drive (root C:\ and not the web).  Windows found a gigabit speed network driver and the audio, presumably from the earlier driver install.  Once Windows installed these drivers, I re-booted and all is good. Maybe I'll tackle the solid state issue after I image my drive now that all is working.
    Thank you for your help.

As a closing note:  Toshiba Help Desk is worthless!!!  When I did call (several times) I finally got someone that sounded like India support.  I waited for about 45 minutes listening to music before a person finally picked up. He took my name, and I provided information on what the issue was.  Next he set the phone down and all I could hear was this guy talking with his buddies (sounded like a party) and he "never" picked back up. After 15-20 minutes of this I hung up.

  • Surround sound via external sound card

I'm looking to connect my W520 to a tv for watching movies. The video is all set up with a DP to HDMI adapter directly from the laptop to the tv. The sound, however, must pass through a receiver first. The receiver only has RCA inputs - it's quite old. I know the hypothetical setup would definitely work because I have a cable tv set top box connected that way.
What's missing is an external sound card that is:
    - compatible with the w520
    - capable of outputting 5.1 surround sound
    - capable of connecting via RCA, be it through an adapter or not
Can anyone recommend a reliable external sound card for the job?

Have you tried one of these?
    dynadock PA3927U-1PRP dynadock U3.0
You can stream 5.1 audio (and the video for that matter as it supports two displays). It also supports USB3.0 as an added perk (the dock itself can be plugged into a usb 3.0 port for best performance). It has one HDMI connection, one DVI-I, and an ethernet connection builtin as well as the usb connections.
PS Missed the bit about you only having RCA connections on your receiver. Lol I would get a new receiver. But then again this device may help you as it does have analog outputs (front, rear and c/sub). You would need to build/find cables though (3.5mm x3 to RCAs).
Btw no SPDIF? If no your receiver must be a pretty old one. Hope its a good one ;-). If you have an coax/optical input then there are also USB devices that will provide 5.1 (maybe even 7.1 nowadays) via the SPDIF connection.

  • Toshiba dynadock U issue

I am having issues with the Toshiba dynadock U (PA3575U-1PRP.  When I installing the drivers for the docking station and click on the Internet, it takes forever for the homepage to appear.  When I turn off the Windows Firewall, that internet works great.  Is there an issue between the docking station and Windows Firewall?

I think I am having pretty much the same issue with my dynadock U. Out of nowehere, whenever I try to open any internet browsers, they freeze up and run slowly, but it is only on my external monitor. If I go to the settings and switch the screen to my laptop monitor, it does not have the issue. Did you ever solve this issue, and if so how?

  • Satellite Pro L850 wont start up when USB3 cable to Dynadock is connected

    Hello,
I have a new L850 and Dynadock ( PA3927A-1PRP).  The L850 wont start up when the USB 3 is connected and the screen flashes gray then black.  If I remove the USB3 then the L850 will start up and if I then reinsert the cable it continues to start and work fine.
I have uninstalled and then reinstalled the Dynadock viewer drivers from  the Toshiba website.
Perhaps I have the cables in the wrong slots?  It is connected as per the Dynadock quick start guide.
    I would appreciate some assistance.
    Thanks - Mark

    Re. Toshiba Satellite L755-S5277
Issue: No audio over HDMI cable.
Regular Toshiba W7 Home original Toshiba software re-install from HD.
Observation: Playback devices, shows only "Speakers Conexant Smartsudio HD Default Device", and nothing else.
    Questions:
    1.  Is there supposed to be anything other than "Speakers Conexant Smartsudio HD Default Device" in the Playback devices window ?  Yes / No

     Jerry,
Your suggestion to reinstall the Intel Display driver was very helpful.
    Thank you.
In the playback window, now appears "Sharp HDMI...",
and now I have audio at the TV, but I have to disable the "Speakers Conexant..."
in order to get the sound to stop coming from the laptop,
and instead come from the TV.
Previous to the Audio problem, this was somehow happening automatically
whenever I connected the HDMI cable, now I need to manually disable the "Speakers Conexant...".
It there some configuration that would make this process automatic again ?

I have a dynadock PA3541U-2PRP dynadock VGA. I have had to reinstall the dynalink software and got the latest from the download site 2.3c. When the video driver tries to install it comes back with a message saying it cannot find 'DisplayLinkCore.msi' and will not uninstall the old release of the driver.
Any thoughts on how to move forward, great hardware but it is dead due to software problem.
    Mike

I have a notebook from another manufacture running WinXp SP3. I have tried multiple downloads. The DisplayLink software shows up on add/remove programs but I do not get a remove program prompt on it like other programs. The dynadock utility installs fine but fails on the install of the video driver -- DisplayLink software. During the install of the video software it starts of normal and comes back asking for DisplayLinkCore.msi saying the network resource is not available and points to a TEMP directory in the Documents and Setting Path.
