Dynadock Wireless U will not stay docked...

I have many Toshiba products but am shocked by the complete lack of support for the Dynadock.  I followed all troubleshooting including software reinstall but multiple calls to customer services offered no support or any further advice.  Is this the best Toshiba can do?  Direct people to a forum and let their own customers deal with each others defective products?
I was finally told that I can return the Dyandock (which may or may not be defective customer service has no idea) for online credit with Toshiba.  Also, I have to send in my Dynadock first and then wait 7 days upon receipt for Toshiba to issue me a store credit to get another Toshiba product that they will also not support.  I wish I had purchased the product at a retailer so that I could exchange it for a docking station from another manufacturer that actually services and stands by their own product.

The reason that the Dynadock is undocking is probably because the Power Management on the USB port is disconnecting when the computer goes to Sleep or Hibernates. Go to Control Panel and click on Device Manager. Right click on the USB port and change the Power Management so that the computer does not control the power going to the USB port. This should keep the Dynadock working even if the computer goes to Sleep.

  • Zen Vision M 30GB will not stay docked on Windows XP

For some reason my Zen won't stay docked into the computer so i can upload music and such to it. I can connect it..it'll actually charge but it won't change to the USB docked screen. It stays at my main screen and can cycle through my options and everything. Itried uninstalling and re-installing...i tried updating my MTP driver but that worked for a few seconds. And when it finally does dock. It'll actually stay there for a good...5 seconds and then exit as if it was disconnected from the USB plug. It doesn't even say "Updating".
I'd like to update the firmware on my Zen but it's .4.0. Not only does the MTP device have a yellow "!" but also SCSI/Raid Host Controller. Any idea why this is happening at all?

Like they say at the offset, this forum although was set up by Creative, they are not meant for official support or for direct support anyways. It is for peer-to-peer support which means it is more like customers helping other customers.
If you need the official support, you will need to either call them up or use the Support Tab or Contact Us tab to contact Tech Support directly.

  • HP 3054 Wireless Printer WIll Not Stay Connected -

I have had an HP 3054 wireless printer for the last few years.  During this time I had minimal setup issues with the printer. Last month I moved out of state and have had constant issues.
Most recently I have been able to "see" the network when setting up the printer but it would not connect.  I have a UBEE modem router and both a PC with Windows 7 (64 bit) and a MacBook Air with Mac OS 10.7.5
After HOURS (and I mean like 12 hours in total) of playing around on looking on these boards I somehow got it connected to both wireless yesterday.  Last night we had a storm, the power went out and thus my printer was offline and would not reconnect to the network again.
I am not very technical, but I had tried to do a "static lease" yesterday which I thought would keep it from changing the IP if something like that were to happen?
I have no idea exactly what I did, but it looks like I was able to reconnect this morn by reinstalling the software and changing the control channel on the wireless router.  I NEVER had to do this with my old qwest router.
Can someone tell me if I am better off just getting a new printer?  This is a real hassle and annoying is an understatement.
I need a much more permanent solution to this issue.
Thank you for your time and help!

  • IPhoto will not stay open on my Desk top when I click on dock icon?

    Hi!
Can anyone tell me why iPhoto will not stay open, and keeps closing into "Applications" file that, incidentally IS also situated on the dock as well?
This is probably an easy answer..but, I just cannot figure it out!
    Thanks!
    Marilyn

and keeps closing into "Applications" file that, incidentally IS also situated on the dock as well?
Iphoto is an application and so is installed in your Applications folder. The icon on the Dock is a shortcut to the application in the Applications Folder. It's not the app, just a shortcut.
Describe what happens when you launch iphoto?

  • Applications will not stay in Dock when dragged there

Recently, a few apps will not stay on the Dock once dragged there from Finder>applications. It stays on the Dock for a few seconds, then disappears.
In particular, Word and Time Machine (so far).
    Please help!
    Blessings

Thanks to V.K.'s advice above - and it didn't work for me.
However, after a few experiments, I discovered that you MUST uncheck the "Dock Items" box in the MobileMe preferences.
Here is exactly what I did (a revision to thew link V.K. provided above).
    1. Open System Preferences and click MobileMe.
    2. Click Sync
    3. +*Uncheck the "Dock Items" box*+
    3. Click the Advanced button-devices & apple computers to be synced will appear
    4. Click Reset Sync Data.
    5. Click the right arrow button so that the orange arrow "flows" from the computer icon to the MobileMe icon in the window, and the text above the icons says "On MobileMe with sync info from this computer."
    6. Wait for the sync to complete. Depending on your Internet connection and on the data you are syncing, it may take several minutes. The status of your sync is indicated at the bottom of the Sync panel.
    It worked!!
Thanks to both of you for your input. Great forum.

It seems lately, past month or so, that the HP Solution Center keeps failing and needs to be reinstalled.  I get a message which says:" HP Solution Center cannot run because your device installation is not complete." followed by a list of steps to take to remedy the situation, which do not work.  I have to uninstall and reinstall the printer and then it will work, but after I shut the computer down for the day or run a virus scan (PC Matic) the problem returns.  Can anybody help me?

When I create a reminder the date/time will not stay attached to the reminder. It initially sets then drops off. Any ideas?

Sounds like we have a similar problem.  Four days ago I was playing music through a wireless Bose speaker via bluetooth and everything was fine.  Then I was texting while listening and got 2 texts about the same time as I was typing one and my phone went black.  I pushed the home button and it worked, went into my texts and all were there.  However ever since then the time isn't right, so it can't keep time no matter what I do.  The bluetooth works only at times, the wifi keeps jumping on and off, sometimes my data won't work and the other day I couldn't even turn it off, so had to wait until it died.  The battery life display at that moment wasn't correct either.  Took to Verizon, they couldn't help.  Suggested a factory reset, which I did last night and still the same issues!  One day I couldn't even text my husband on his iPhone.  Just wouldn't work at all.  Did everything suggest and still not good.  Seems like after stalking these pages today a lot of people are having this problem in Dec/Jan and of course also I'm 3 weeks out of my 1 year warranty and so were many others, by days.  Very strange, and all on the 5C.  What did you do?  Is it working now?

  • WRT54G v.5 will not stay connected to new laptop/Windows 7 Premium

WRT54G v.5 will not stay connected to new laptop/Windows 7 Premium. It continuously runs through a cycle of detecting, connecting, losing connection; detecting, connecting, losing connection, etc. A the router runs through this cycle, basically acting as if I have disconnected then reconnected to power to reset it, it disrupts my Internet connection to both my wired iMac and other, wireless desktop upstairs. Paid for Linksys support today and through remote access he set up a new network on my desktop (iMac). After he finished, the problem still existed. When I told him the problem hadn't been fixed,  he told me just wait for an hour or so and it should work itself out. It, of course, did not work itself out. Any ideas out there?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Never mind-I seem to have fixed the problem with a simple firmware upgrade. Funny how the Linksys support technician didn't think to ask what version of the router I have or suggest that I should try upgrading the firmware first. He was, however, quite good at trying to upsell me to a new router instead of trying to help me fix the problem I was having. Makes me want to go buy Netgear next time, thank you very much!

  • Wifi will not stay connected after Lion upgrade - help?

I upgraded to Lion last week on my iMac and now my computer will not stay connected to wifi...  it is fine if I restart my computer, but then it looses its connection, settings when it goes in to screen saver mode - very frustrating, please help!

This has been well discussed on another thread here: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3191630?start=2055&tstart=0
(There appear to be no moderators on these forums to make sure that new threads with the same topic don't get linked to a parent !?)
Anyway... The issues appear for many to be related to a specific Airport card type & firmware version.
I've had constant disconnect problems with my Mini since upgrading to Lion.
    My Airport card specs are:
Card Type:                              AirPort Extreme  (0x168C, 0x86)
      Firmware Version:                    Atheros 5424: 2.1.14.9
Connecting to my Time Capsule distributing on:
              PHY Mode:          802.11a
The Atheros firmware version appears to be the issue depending on certain wifi network conditions.
After some playing about today I think I've managed to force my Mini to connect on a better frequency, without having to roll back the firmware to the Snow Leopard version or mess with the Mini Airport card settings (via Terminal) by changing some settings in my router (Time Capsule).
These are the changes I made:
Airport Utility > Wireless > Wireless Options
    Set Radio Mode to 802.11 a/n - b/g instead of 802.11 a/n - b/g/n (Automatic)
Set 2.4 GHz Channel to 13 instead of Automatic
Set 5GHz Channel to 48 instead of Automatic
    My Mini now connects on:
    PHY Mode:          802.11g
    Signal / Noise:          -64 dBm / -96 dBm
    Transmit Rate:          54
    instead of previously
    PHY Mode:          802.11a
    Signal / Noise: -73 dBm / -96 dBm
    Transmit Rate: 36
This appears now to be stable (no drops in the last 4 hours). It's a low transmit rate still, but better than before.
The iMac is still connecting on
    PHY Mode:          802.11n
    Signal / Noise:          -69 dBm / -88 dBm
    Transmit Rate:          216
and all is right with the world (hopefully for the long term)

  • IPhone 6 will not stay on 802.11ac

So I have a brand new iPhone 6 that I absolutely love. The only issue I have about it is that it will not connect to my wireless network at 802.11ac speeds. My home network consists of an AirPort Extreme AC router and an airport express that is hard wired to expand my network and give me more coverage. I have a handful of devices that are connected via wifi and those are a macbook pro, iMac, Amazon Fire TV stick, iphone 5, my iPhone 6 and an iPad air 2. The only 2 that should be running at AC speeds are my ipad and iphone 6. Well my iPad is always connected at AC speeds and has since the day I got it. Never had any issues with it and the speed is always super fast as it holds a strong connection to my wifi network at AC speeds. But when I got my iPhone 6, it never connected and stayed connected at AC speeds. So to diagnose it, I reset my network settings, restarted the phone, even did a full reset and setup the phone as new and it still has the same issue. I have gotten my iPhone to connect at AC speeds but only for a short window before going back to N speeds. I toggle wifi on/off and even restart my phone and it will connect at AC speeds again but it will not stay that way. I have no idea why I am having this issue as all of my other devices connect just fine and my iPad run at AC speeds 24/7. I had my iPhone replaced by Apple already and both the old one and new one had this issue with staying connected at AC speeds. Any help on what I can do to fix this issue? is it a hardware issue on the iPhone 6's or is it an iOS issue that I'll have to wait for a software update to fix? both my iPad and iPhone are running iOS 8.2 by the way. my iPad has always connected at AC speeds regardless of what software version was installed on it. It worked great before 8.2 and it continues to still work great on AC (knock on wood). the iPhone has had this issue both before and after iOS 8.2. And both my airports are running the latest firmware as well. Any help on this is greatly appreciated!!!

Thanks for all of the help.  I have already tried this and this did not correct the issue.  This issue occurs on any and all apps that I have set to only use Wi-Fi.  Below is an example of what I get when it automatically loose connection to a Wi-Fi/wireless router.  This is even occurring at my work Wi-fi connection.

  • Will not stay connected to my home wi-fi

My iPhone will not stay connected to my Airport Express. My iMac and PB have no problem. Where I live I do not get any other wi-fi signals.
In the morning my phone connects...I check my mail and check a few web sites. No problem for about 5 minutes or so then I loose the connection and it switches to AT&T's Edge service. The phone will re-connect when I go to setting>wi-fi But it only stays connected for 30 seconds or so. It will say "unable to connect" and I do renew the lease.
This has been happening for about 3 weeks now.

Have you tried deleting the saved wireless network settings for this network from your iPhone followed by reconnecting to the network?
If not, on your iPhone go to Settings > Wi-Fi.
Select the right facing arrow in a blue circle icon to the right of the name of the network.
At the top, select Forget this Network.
This will delete the network and network settings from your iPhone.
Follow this by selecting and reconnecting to the network.

  • My Shuffle will not stay on

My shuffle will not stay turned on. When I turn it on the green light comes on for about 4 seconds or so than goes out. The unit seems to work fine when docked. Any suggestions?

I thought I was having the same problem. When first connected to the computer the light blinks orange. When opening itunes it stops blinking and appears to be charging. Everything syncs fine. Diagnostics says all is well. The light never goes green. As soon as I undock it the light goes out as if it is not charged. This was very frustrating and I read some posts about it. However, after actually trying the unit...by connecting earphones/plugs to the jack and switching the unit on...it plays...it plays just fine. The power light never stays on...even when playing. I dont think it is supposed to work this way...but it does
