Dynamic bucket style appears in local machine only
I'm using Mapviewer 10.1.3. when I checked the example for dynamic mapviewer styles (mapviewer/fsmc/tutorial/samples/dynamicBucketSty.html), it worked well in my machine.. But when I tried from another machine in the same network, the dynamic themebasedfois are not appearing.
What could be wrong?

the users we want.
Regarding this point, the following thread can be referred to as reference.
"Domain Users" in local users group isn't appropriate for us. Can I safely remove it?

First, try to ping the loopback address 127.0.0.1. If the loopback test succeeds but you cannot ping the local IP address, please post the unedited
ipconfig /all and route print of the problematic computer.

Create PR header text for local PR only
Dear all,
I want to create a new PR header text which is used for local PR ONLY.
I used tran. code SE75 to craeted a new text ID for PR. After created, the new header text item appeared in all PR types. May I ask how to do if I wan this PR header text appeared in local PR only.

As of my knowledge, the PO / PR texts CANT be created for a particular document type - It will be applicable for all document types in standard SAP. If you want the text to be visible for particular document type only, then you have to go for development.

I am new to this forum but after two days looking around for a solution to my problem, I don't know were else to turn around.
My company have a flash file (.swf) which retrieves data from a web service. On the local machine it works fine but when it is called from client browsers it is giving me ERROR #2032: Stream Error.
The following is the code I am using to connect to the server:

The following is the crossdomain I created and refering to on the server, I tried to leave it open as much as possible to assure myself that the problem is not with rights. After this function will start to work than I will start to ristrict access:

The error as I said before is happening only on the client side, when I run the website on the server, this flash object works fine without data.
The Server is Windows 2009 R 2, 64 bit. I am using Adobe Flashh CS4 Professional which publish for Flash Player 10 and using ActionScript 3.0. The Local playback secuirty is set to Access network only.
To be sure that it is not access rights the problem, I am runn the website with the Administrator Credentials temporarly but still after performing all the above and trying different settings the same error still appears what ever I do.

After looking around the internet for two days I found the most stupid configuration that could ever be.
After checking the Windows Event Log, I notised that after I try to call the web service, the ASP.NET 2.0 was raising a warning that says "request format is unrecognized for url unexpectedly ending in /<method name>". So I was looking around for this but it was hard also to find an answer for this, until I came across the following article from microsoft http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;819267.
By default HTTP GET AND HTTP POST are disabled by default for the ASP.NET webservices and to enable them you need just to add the following in the web.config:

After adding this, the flash object was working billiantly, calling all the necessary web services without any problem.

Time Machine appears to be "read only"
My Time Machine suddenly turned into a Read Only device.
"Files can't be copied onto the backup disk because it appears to be 'read only.'"
"you may need to repair or reformat the disk using Disk Utility. If the disk can't be repaired, you must use a different disk for backups. Open the TIme Machine Preferences to select a different backup disk."
My computer Hard Drive is still running fine. Can I save a backup of the TIME MACHINE backups and load them into a new Time Machine drive.Why not first repair the drive using Disk Utility?
Open Disk Utility in the Utilities folder. After DU loads select the TM hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your TM volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported, then quit DU.

This was posted in the Apple Discussions by V.K. I have only modified it slightly to be more generic.
The problem seems to be that 10.5.6 changes permissions on a file so that even the root user doesn't have write peivileges. I have no idea why they did this. The workaround suggested in [an]other post will probably work, too, but i did something less drastic. Instead of deleting the file I changed permissions on it, and it worked just fine. An added benefit is that the permission change seems to stick, so you don't have to delete the file every time you change a drive.
[Open the Terminal application in your Utilities folder. At the prompt [enter] the following command:
sudo chmod 644 /volumes/"TM drive name"/.xxxxxxxxxxxx
The name of the file .xxxxxxxxxxxx is based on the MAC address of your computer and will be different for every computer. Put the name of the TM drive in the above and keep the quotes.
You'll have to enter your admin password (which you won't see) which is normal.

How to allow user to select pdf file on local machine and populate field with file name only

I have a project requirement that I am stumped on. I am admittedly a novice, so forgive questions that may seem obvious.
My requirement is a form running on a client system where the user can click a button and select a PDF file name from a PDF on their local machine and then populate a form field with that file path & filename. The file names vary between all machines, so there is no static list. Note that the PDF is not embedded, nothing is executed, I simply need the file name.
There are several of these on a form (20+), so manual name entry is too error prone. I would like to use a 'browse' type dialog, but can not figure out how to implement it.
I've looked at app.browseForFile, but the users can not install a javascript file in their adobe folder or any other files; the functionality has to be integral with the original PDF.
Functionally, this is no different from the image object file browse, except that I need a PDF instead of an image file, so there doesn't seem like there should be a security issue that is any different from those surrounding the image object.
I've been stumped on this for the entire week, and I have a deadline rapidly approaching, so any examples or suggestions (please remember I'm a novice) would be greatly appreciated!Thanks for the reply Paul - do you have any sample code of how to attach the PDF? Or how the user can select a PDF to open? I might be able to attach it, retrieve the file name, and then un-attach it.
Alternatively, do you know how to retrieve the file name from the imagePath object? It will let you select PDF files, but I can't find info on how to retrieve the file name. It should be the way you would retrieve the file name for an image.

Drag and Drop file from a jsp to local machine
Hello All,
We have got a user requirement where, currently we have an attachment section in our JSP, where users are provided with the file download links,
as the user clicks those links the file download pop appears.
But now they ask for a drag and drop functionality, so that the link icon which they see on the JSP, if they drag it to there local machine, the file is downloaded
to the machine. Am not sure if it can be done from a web page. Any ideas if at all this is feasible. Or any direction where i can look through.

Please forgive me if this exact question has been asked already (if so I'm not finding it via Google or these forums), but one of my users can't seem to edit documents IN libraries, via links emailed to him. He clicks on the link and the
file auto-downloads with no Read-only/Edit option pop-up, and he can edit it (without getting the annoying yellow "this is read only from the server, click to edit document" bar up top either), but naturally his changes to these documents
are only being saved on his local machine and not making it back to the library.... Our IT dept gave him a Save As workaround (that, it appears, would make a SECOND file in the library, which is not going to work for our processes), but nobody
else is having this issue.... I'm thinking this is a simple settings change someplace in Sharepoint 2010 or Word 2010 (we have Windows 7), or maybe IE, or it's possible his User profile in our network needs some kind of adjustment... anyway,

Actually, I found a KnowledgeBase article on our website which describes this exact process, and it's not necessary to modify the UUT container. I tried this method and was successful in saving the ASCII report to the table. This KB mentions a ModelNumber parameter as its example. Instead, for our situation, I made a new Local variable in my process model called "ASCIIReport" and stored the value of Locals.Report in there as soon as the report is generated. Then I log this Locals.ASCIIReport variable to the database using the method described in the KB. It appeared to work properly.
Also, please note that this method is only valid for the TestStand 2010 and older process models. In newer versions of TestStand, we've changed the way reporting and database logging works to use a plugin architecture, and this is partially what Scott was referring to when he mentioned that these two features don't "know" about each other. If you're currently using the TestStand 2012 or newer process model, or if you plan to migrate to those models in the future, further work will be required to log the text report to the database. The method in the linked KB should work for the legacy models, however.

Local machines showing up with external addresses??
I've got one of those problems that suddenly makes me realize how little I understand about the gory details of OS X networking. Any help about the following would be greatly appreciated.
I'm running a "relatively standard" home network environment. That is, I've got a DSL connection to my ISP, and am running a router/NAT environment that connects a number of machines -- Mac, Windows, and Linux -- to the external network. Internally, all the machines have addresses in the range of 192.168.0.x. However, because of the static/NAT address mapping, the machines whose internal addresses are mapped to external static addresses show up at external hosts as 216.xxx.yyy.zzz (the address range assigned to me by my ISP). The other machines, which are on the network via NAT, show up as 66.xxx.yyy.zzz, the address assigned by my ISP. Finally, I'm running a local DNS server that handles addressing issues for my domains and sub-domains that are hosted on local machines. All the machines use this local server for their DNS, with my ISP's DNS server as secondary. All of this is to say that it's more or less a pretty typical configuration, and, in general, everything is working fine.
Here's where it gets tricky:
* Machine A is a Fedora 10 linux box, which hosts an externally visible domain and runs, among other things, a web server. It's assigned to one of the addresses that's mapped to a static IP address.
* Machine B is a MacBook Pro, running Snow Leopard (10.6). It typically runs at 192.168.0.6, which is NOT one of the addresses mapped to a static address, but "just" a NAT address.
Now, suppose Machine B hits the web browser run by Machine A: the log files should show the traffic arriving from the local address, 192.168.0.6. However, it instead shows up as coming from 66.xxx.yyy.zzz, the external NAT-affiliated address. This seems wrong, especially since all the other machines on my network show 192.168-type addresses when hitting the web server.
I now change Machine B's address to 192.168.0.5 -- one of the statically-mapped addresses. Browsing traffic at Machine A is now arriving from 192.168.0.5, which is (I think) as it should be.
I now change Machine B's address back to 192.168.0.6. The web traffic on Machine B is now reported to be arriving from 192.168.0.6 -- NOT 66.xxx.yyy.zzz.
Thus my confusion. It's complicated by the fact that I don't know where to look for the problem. All the log files on all the machines seem relatively normal; there are least no glaring problems screaming out from them. I'm tempted to blame the MacBook, since it's the only one showing the problem, but I'd feel better if I knew what to do and how to fix it.

Given that you have two public subnets - 216.xxx.yyy.zzz and 66.xxx.yyy.zzz - do you have two routers? or does one router handle them both?
Just one router. It handles the NAT translations for the machines not on static addresses and the mappings of the statically-addressed machines to the 216 address space. I confess that one of the things I don't understand is how the NAT machines end up on the 66.xxx.yyy.zzz address (externally, the traffic from all these machines appears to be coming from that one address). It's all just part of that internet magic, I guess.
In addition, what else do you change when you change the Mac's IP address? Do you change its router address? it's DNS Server address?
I have two Location profiles set up for the MacBook -- one for 192.168.0.6, and one for 192.168.0.5. I changed the address simply by flipping back and forth between them.
Which machine in your network is handling DNS?
Machine C -- a Mac Pro running Snow and BIND. It's been working quite nicely for quite awhile; it pre-dates by quite awhile the problem with the MacBook.
Re Dave's question above this one: Yes, everything is working; the only practical issue is that I have some ssh restrictions set up that control the ability to log in as different users from different hosts, and the fluctuating IP addresses can mess this up. But, other than that, although I worry that these messages are indicating that something else is wrong somewhere, things generally seem to be working okay. Should I just go forth and be happy? -

How can reset/delet domain passwaord cache in local machine

I am using a windows 8 operating system, I am member of a domain. Also I am a local administrator of my laptop. I also have made image of my system drive.
Yesterday my windows got stuck and its giving errors regarding startup application and drivers etc. Now the best solutions at that time to restore the back up. I did it and its restore successfully. But the
problem is when I try to login my domain account it say some error " Trust relationship between this workstation and
domain controller failed". Only way to login is remove the network cable and entre the old password when I created the image of system drive. I even change it after login by pressing CTRl+Alt +Delete and then changed it and it was changed
successfully but the problem is same while login again by putting the network cable back. I googled it then I came know that its some of log sync issue between my laptop and my domain server as I changed password
during this time span i.e. when I created the backup. They also gives quick solution i.e. disconnect from domain and reconnect it to domain but problem is here I don't have the domain password and concern persons are not very welcoming even if they did it what
happen next time when restore it again.
So my question is that how can I reset/delete/clear the information of my domain user id & password or that "log" which
creating the problem, from my system other then disconnect and connect to domain, there must be some way as I am still able to login to other systems of my colleagues with my domain id and current password,
but I don't know why there is not log sync issue at there. I copied all my important data to other partitions so nothing to worry about the loss of data.
Reset/delete of my domain does not mean I want to do it on the server but on the local machine I think ''clearing the domain cached" is another relative term of my problem. I highly appreciated your cooperation in this regard.

The only way to recreate the trust between your client and the domain is to remove the client from the domain and rejoin it.
This is due to the fact that the "request" is sent from the server and not your client.
But still, this shouldn't be a problem. I would rejoin the client to the domain and create a new backup since there is a chance that the backup hasn't been completely successful.
