Dynamic Documents Printing Problems

Hi,
I have developed a report which displays the data using the dynamic documents class cl_dd_document.  I have added shading and colors.  My problem is when I print, using the method PRINT_DOCUMENT, none of the shading/colors show on the printout.  Also, there are no table grid lines being printed.  Is this normal or do I have a problem.
Another problem is that the column headers only print on the first page.  I expect them to print on each new page.
Thanks.

Hi.,
Back Ground will not be print using cl_dd_document.,  Check  DD_STYLE_TABLE  Program.. this will help u., to print document.,
also you can see backgrund colors cannot be print...  but you can print text color..
hope this helps u.,
Thanks & Regards,
Kiran

  • Printing dynamic documents

    Hi,
I was using dynamic documents for creating tables and forms. I used the print_document command for printing the tables. The problem is that the document does not print from my machine but I could print it from 3 other machines. Is there any specific setting that I need in order to print from my machine?
    Thanks,

  • Sudden printing problems with scanned pdf documents

Hi, I suddenly experience problems when I want to print scanned pdf documents.
Since 2 years, I am using an iMac with a Fujitsu ScanSnap S1500M and a Samsung ML-2525W. I also use Acrobat Pro 9.0 provided with the scanner. I scan documents, save them as pdfs and print them. Worked fine until just recently. If I print scanned pdf documents, the printer give white pages. Other pdf documents get printed without problems.
I use OS X Yosemite (10.10.1) and ScanSnap Manager 3.2.L63.
    Any advice is highly appreciated

Hi Roger - the problem was going from 10.6.7 to 10.6.8. That is when all of the printing problems began, as well as the wifi getting flaky. I was able to get the iMac speaking politely to the printer by installing Repair 10.6.8 and re-adding the Canon printer (see below):
    Printer “failure”
Probably the single most common 10.6.8 problem, at least as evidenced by a massive 17 page thread in Apple Support Communities, is a failure to print. The typical symptom is that the printer driver software pauses, displaying a message that states something like: “printer-state-message="/usr/libexec/cups/backend/lpd failed" or “/usr/libexec/cups/backend/dnssd failed.” Not all printers have this problem, but users report seeing the symptom in a variety of different printers.
As is often the case with update-related problems, reinstalling 10.6.8 from the combo updater may eradicate the symptom. Another possible solution is modifying a printer file in the /etc/cups/ppd directory (as detailed in the above-linked thread).
Unfortunately, none of these solutions are guaranteed to work. What does reliably fix the problem is to downgrade back to 10.6.7. If you’d rather stick with 10.6.8, you can instead downgrade just the quartet of printer-related files that appear to be the root cause of the symptom. These are the socket, dnssd, lpd and ipp files, located in the /usr/libexec/cups/backend directory.
A Mac user wrote an application, Repair10.6.8 (direct download link), that automatically downgrades these four files for you. Several users report success with this program. After running the Repair app, you may also need to “reset printing system” by selecting the command from the contextual menu for the printer name in the Print & Fax System Preferences pane.

  • Print problem. trying to print a document in Preview, the start of the text prints half way down the page not at the top of the page?

Print problems.  Printing out an email the text starts half way down the page.  I tried taking a picture of the text I wanted to print, tried to print from Preview and have the same problem.  If anyone has any ideas I would really apreciate it. Thanks Penny

One more thing to check:  System Preferences/Print & Scan.  Make sure your printer is set as Default.
I'm using OS X 10.8 and I don't see Page Setup anymore. If you have access to Page Setup, check to see if there are any adjustments to make there.

  • Refresh data in a Dynamic Document

    Hello,
I'm using a Dynamic Document inside a dynpro but the data (add_text - display_document methods) are not refreshed even if I use the CL_GUI_TIMER to auto-refresh the contents of the dynpro.
    Any idea?
    Angelo

    Hi Angelo.
Did you get any idea how to solve the problem? I face the same problem and found out, that if you use the print method (print_document) you get the refreshed document. But if you display the document you´ll get the old one.
Thanks for your or any othe´s reply.

  • Recurring Printing Problem with HP Office Jet Pro L7590 w/Windows XP operating system

This printer is a real workhorse but frequently, when printing large documents from the internet, the type changes from regular print to total giberish -something similar to a Russian Script. It does this midsteam into the document and there is no error message or any indicatin that something is wrong. It is also hit or miss-sometime I get the entire document in English and sometimes I don't. Unfortunately, I'm wasting a ton of paper and time to redo everything when it occurs.
Other than the above, it works fine. Any suggestions on how to correct?

So the printer will begin to print garbled text in the middle of large document print jobs, from time to time?  Is this correct?
How is the L7590 connected to the WinXP PC? (USB, ethernet, wireless)
How long is the USB cable if connected this way?
How far away from the router is the printer if connected wirelessly?
If usb connected, how old is the USB cable?
It is possible that this problem is coming from a connection problem.  If a minor connection issue exists, then it can leave portions of the print language being sent as commands to the printer out.  This can change the printer's interpretation of the printer command language.

  • Printing Problem with HP LaserJet 1022 and OS 10.4

I am having a problem printing one page of a document on my HP LaserJet 1022 with OS 10.4. All other documents seem to be printing fine, but when I try to print one particular page of a 90 page WORD doc, that page consistently comes out with a big black streak across it and it does something to the printer because all the lights start flashing.
I have powered off, unplugged, reset the printer subsystem, reinstalled the printer driver, and even tried to print on my laptop, and the same thing keeps happening. The document printed for me fine a few weeks ago.
Any suggestions on a work-around for this or a permanent solution? I really need to print this page on my printer ASAP. Thank you.

The page looks perfect in preview and as a PDF. I can't print from the PDF, however, because it shrinks the text and expands the margins ...
Something's fishy. Save as PDF should result a file that looks exactly, precisely, like what you'd get if you printed directly to your printer.
I suspect your Word document has been corrupted by a few bytes of random data that is causing your printer to go nuts. Try cutting that portion out of the document, and pasting it in a new blank document so you can incrementally isolate the damage.
This isn't going to be as easy as it sounds, because when the PostScript printer driver encounters the errant code in the Word document, it's essentially telling the printer "now, go to the top of this page, print a nasty black smudge, and then crash." You might have to cut a whole page before and after the suspected corruption. If you're lucky you might be able to cut the portion then paste it right back as "unformatted text". Try that.

  • Adobe reader printing problems

    Hi all,
I have created a word document, and converted it to .pdf using Cute PDF writer. When I open the document in Adobe reader 7/8 I can see the document fine and clear with all fonts and images as they should be.
The problem is when I try to print the document. When I print from Adobe 8, the font (Gill Sans MT to be specific) doesn't print correctly. Instead of getting a word with one letter after the other, all letters of that word are printing on top of each other if you get me. This can happen anywhere on the page.
However, if I open the document in Adobe reader 7 - the document prints correctly. No problems. I have tried this on a number of machines so I can safely say its not a problem with the install of the software on any of the machines. It just seems to be an incompatibility with the Adobe reader 8 software.
Can anyone tell me why this is happening or how I can get around this on Adobe reader 8?
    Any help is greatly appreciated.
    Thank you.
    Mo

a bug most likely. I can only see a couple of options for you. Don't use Reader 8, use a different PDF creator, or try to tweak the settings in in Cute PDF to make it embed and encode the fonts so that Reader 8 can print successfully.

  • Printing problem on Windows 7 - 64 bits

I have problems printing some PDFs to Windows 7 - 64 bits. (Reader X 10.1.1)
I'm attaching a picture of what I see on the screen, and the garbled characters that come out of the printer.
    On screen:

This looks like a font problem. So I checked the properties and all the fonts have "Embedded subset".
    Also note that:
    1. The same document prints perfectly on an XP machine that has the same fonts;
    1.b. The same document prints perfectly on a Windows 7 - 32 bit machine;
    2. The same document prints perfectly using Foxit Reader;
    3. The same characters are printed on both paper output and XPS output.
I've been banging at that issue since over a month, deforesting a large part of the tundra in the process (that is, until I confirmed that XPS printer had the same problem...)
    - I've reinstalled the fonts several times;
    - I've rebooted the machine often;
    - Everything is at the latest version.
    Any help would be welcome.

  • Canon 860 Series (Pixma) Printer Problems with OSX 10.8 (Mountain Lion) – links to Canon Support Site with Drivers and Software with install tips

After spending several hours sorting out Canon Pixma OSX problems here are my thoughts:
Canon 860 Series (Pixma 868) Printer Problems with OSX 10.8 (Mountain Lion) – links to Canon Support Site with Drivers and Software with install tips
    Problem:
    - New imac and MacBook Pro 2012 (OSX 10.8.2) had a problem using Canon Pixma 868 printer on network and would not scan or print using Canon Pixma software (Pixma MP Navigator 2.1 & Photo Print), which has advanced scanning and photo printing functions.
    - When I connected the canon printer to my imac, OSX 10.8.2 automatically downloaded and installed drivers for Canon 860 series printer. I could then add the new printer (select ‘apple menu’ / ‘system preferences’ / ‘print and scan’ / “+”) and printer would work while connected via USB but could not get to print or scan over network wifi.
    - The original Canon 860 Series CD does not work with 10.8 and the manual / online instructions did not make sense (as based on CD install).
    Solution:
    1) Install Canon Printer Drivers and Software (from official Canon site)
Go to canon support site, review FAQ, then download and install following Pixma 860 Series software & drivers for OSX 10.8 (links see below). The version I downloaded is in brackets but check for updated version. Full instructions are below.
Canon 860 Series Drivers & Software  for OSX 10.8 Mountain Lion:
The base software and drivers needed for using Canon 860 Series on Mac OS X 10.8 (USB) are
    1 Printer Driver
(Canon MX860 series CUPS Printer Driver Ver. 10.67.1.0 (03-Aug-2012))
    2 Scanner Driver
(Canon MX860 series Scanner Driver Ver. 14.11.4a (03-Aug-2012))
    3 Network Tool
(Canon IJ Network Tool Ver. 4.1.0 for Intel Mac (27-Dec-2012)
Canon Software for using advanced printing and scanning functions (while connected to network)
    4 Solution Menu
    (Canon Solution Menu Ver. 1.4.1 (27-Jul-2012 ))
    5 MP Navigator EX
(Canon MP Nav EX Ver. 2.1.3 (02-Auf-2012))
    6 Easy-PhotoPrint EX
    (Canon Easy-PhotoPrint EX Ver. 4.1.6 (21-Jan-2013 ))

Select Product and drivers from support site eg http://support-hk.canon-asia.com/
    1. Choose a product category

    2. Choose a product series
      Pixma
    3. Choose a product model
      Pixma MX868
    4. Choose type of document
    Downloads or FAQ
If you have problems installing the software under 10.8, see the FAQ on Canon site. You will need to allow software installs from “unidentified developers by using “Control” Key or by changing your system preferences)
    2) Check Canon Printer and Software Working while connected via USB
Once you have downloaded and installed drivers and software and restarted computer, check that the printer and Canon Pixma software (Pixma MP Navigator 2.1 & Photo Print) are working via USB.  Open the Canon IJ Network Tool App (Applications / Canon Utilities /IJ Network Tool / Canon IJ Network Tool App) and make sure you can see the Canon MX 860 series (xx.xx.xx.xx.xx.xx) and that it shows the correct SSID Wifi settings (under the Canon IJ Network Tool App ‘Setup menu’).  This is normally done as part of the automatic install but worth double checking
    3) Add new network printer using ‘apple menu’ / ‘system preferences’ / ‘print and scan’ / “+”).
After you have checked USB printing turn off printer, unplug the USB cable and shutdown the Canon IJ Network Tool App.
Then turn the printer back on and wait 30s. Then add a new printer using ‘apple menu’ / ‘system preferences’ / ‘print and scan’ / “+”). Once you select “+” (add new printer), wait 10-30s for the Wifi Networked Canon MX 860 Series printer to appear in the new window eg Canon MX 860 series (xx.xx.xx.xx.xx.xx) (Kind: “Canon IJ Network”)
DO NOT ADD THE MX 860 SERIES BONJOUR SCANNER (the Bonjour Scanner is the built-in software, is not needed and often appears first on the add printer list).  The Canon scanner can be accessed used through the MP Nav EX Ver. 2.1.3 software (which has much better functions)
You will now have two Printer Canon MX860 (USB) and Canon MX860 (Wifi / Network). Set the Canon MX860 (Wifi / Network) as default and test print and scan
If the Wifi Networked Canon MX 860 Series printer does not appear, check the printer and make sure that the printer can see the wifi network. On the printer select Menu / Settings / Device Settings / Lan Settings / WLAN Setting List.  It should say WLAN Active, identify the SSID and have an IP address
If the printer can not see the Wifi Network, plug the USB cable back in, then open the Canon IJ Network Tool App (Applications / Canon Utilities /IJ Network Tool / Canon IJ Network Tool App). Make sure you can see the Canon MX 860 series (xx.xx.xx.xx.xx.xx) and that it has your SSID settings (under setup), if it has this info, restart the computer and the printer and try again

  • Printing problem using HP Laser 3015 with OS 10.4.11 on MacBook

Pauses when printing a set of PDF files on my HP Laser 3015. It takes forever to print a set of documents. This is not working for my business where sometimes I have anywhere from 60 to over 100 pages to print out 2 sets! Last week I printed out the first set that took a long time and copied the second set. Printer worked fine with the old reader. I would like to have that back!! But can't find it in my application folder. Can someone tell me how to get an old reader if there is not a solution to this printing problem.
I reviewed all the settings on the print box and can't find the problem. I've read what to do in Adobe's help but it didn't tell me anything I already was doing. Does anyone have a solution to my problem? I sure would appreciate it.
    Diana

I have had printing problem too many days ago.
As far as I am concerned you may try the following: -
    - Verify your acrobat reader is up to date.
    - Verify your printer drivers if missing any.
    - Verify there shouldnt be any paper jam in the printer.
    - Verify your printer is connected properly.
Verify that you have ink colors
    - In the printer.

If these didnt help than it may be your printer problem, you may fix it show it to any hardware shop.

  • HP 7960 printing problem

Until recently, my HP 7960 was printing just fine.  Then, about half way through the printing process, the pics started turning green.  I've cleaned the cartridges, replaced the cartridges using only new original HP ink cartridges, adjusted the print settings, reverted to the default print settings, and the problem persists.  My OS is Windows Vista, which I've had for 3 years and never had a printing problem with the 7960.  So, I doubt it's the OS.  Someone suggested that I may have clogged nozzles but if so, why the color change only during the last half of the printing process?
Any assistance with this problem is greatly appreciated, and thank you in advance.

When the alignment page was printed were you able to scan it on the scanner glass?

  • Printing from Windows = only the first half of documents print

I'm trying to set up a home print server, to allow access to an HP LaserJet 1005.  It's working OK locally and accessed when printing from another Linux box.  From XP and Vista, however, the first half of multiple-page documents print, and one-page ones don't print at all.  This seems to be the case when using any Windows postscript driver (such as Apple LaserWriter 16/600 PS and HP LaserJet III Postscript Cartridge), and with documents from any program.
I can't see anything obvious in the logs when set to debug, as far as I understand them, they appear to show all pages printing, including the one-page documents which disappear completely.  Whether this show it to be a Cups problem rather than a Windows one, I'd rather not attempt to say!  This is /var/log/cups/error_log when printing a five-page document, in case there's something useful in it which I have missed.

    Are you using Samba?
Firstly a shot in the gloom:  If so, have you tried setting
    use client driver = yes
in smb.conf, under the printers section? Or if it is yes, try no.
The other thing you can try is to stop the file being printed/removed from the spool directory(s), and see where the lost stuff gets lost.
To be honest, I'm not sure where/how you can do this, but I believe that samba will store the file initially in a spool file specified by smb.conf and then Cups will store it somewhere else. Changing the print commands to not print/remove the file from these two points may help identify the loss point.
Can you plug the printer directly into the windows box and see what happens?

  • Printing problems with InDesign CS3 running on OS 10.6

I recently upgrade my old G4 Mac (OS 10.4) to a new Mac Mini running OS 10.6.6. I am still running CS3 and have encountered only one problem. When I print multiple copies documents from InDesign that contain several layers, each copy is processed separately, so that it can take several minutes just to send the print job to the printer if I'm printing over 20 copies. Then once the print job is processed the printer pauses between every copy, which is tripling the printing time. If I print a simpler document with only one or two layers it processes all the copies at once, as it should. I am printing on an Okidata 6150 color laser printer.
I never had this problem on my old computer. I'm wondering if this is one of the "unsupported" bugs of running CS3 on Snow Leopard. I want to make sure that this is a problem unique to running CS3 with Snow Leopard before I go ahead and upgrade to CS4 or CS5.

    Hi again Peter
It is version 5.0.4.  I updated it when I newly installed it a week ago in my new computer, and then again updated it just yesterday.
I might mention that before I got my new computer, I was running Mac OS 4.11, and was using InDesign 3.0.  I had bought InDesign CS3 about a year ago, but hadn't gotten around to using it since version 3.0 had been working fine, and I was used to it.  Then, when I got my new computer, I decided it was time to use the newer version.  However, while using InDesign 3.0 with the old Mac OS 4.11, a printing problem popped up there, too, a few months ago... and it also involved printing problems with Adobe Reader.  I contacted Adobe, and they sent me a patch which fixed it.  I will contact Adobe again if need be, although I thought I'd start here first to see if it was a common enough problem that someone might be able to provide a free and routine answer.

Subject: Printing problems with InDesign CS3 with Mac OS 10.6.3
I neglected to ask what version of indesign CS3 you are using. I also
notice that Mac OSX 10.6.4 has just been released. It actually
addresses some CS3-specific issues, though they seem to be related to
launching the apps, not printing. It may be worth trying to update,
    nonetheless.
