Dynamic Fonts loading in CS4 vs CS3. What has changed?!

I've had BIG troubles loading dynamic fonts in CS4. Well I had a whole library written in AS3 for CS3 which works just fine. But the whole thing doesn't work anymore in CS4. The textfields are empty although the fonts are loaded and registered via Font.registerFont. So the loading process actually worked. But the text just doesn't appear anymore.
In CS3 it works, in CS4 id doesn't work, with exactly the same FLA and AS files.
The Font files were exported with CS3. Maybe there's the problem? There is another font-file I had to export with flex (due to the character limitations in the flash IDE), that actually does work(!)
So what has changed between CS3 and CS4? There must be some reason why things don't work anymore like they did before.
If someone is interested in the source... it's quite a lot just to get a font loaded.

Disk Utility: Does it work or not? What has changed?

After upgrading just about five hours ago to Leopard, and applying all upgrades and updates as well as security updates, I have noticed that Disk Utility is not th same snappy piece of software it used to be.
In Tiger, I used to run Disk Utility every time there was an upgrade or update and it took usually from less than a minute to sometimes a couple minutes. This time I get the bar immediately stating a 'less than a minute' operation but it results in something about 10 or more minutes.
It would be great if anyone from Apple or even someone with Technical information would post why is this, and what has changed with Disk Utility and how can we make sure that new permissions are fixed when the new Disk Utility can't do so. Like in my case I receive the following after the long wait.

On my Mac it normally runs fine and fast. The SUID errors your getting are harmless. See this.

Assuming you're using Safari, with Safari running open Safari's Preferences (Preferences in the Safari menu). Go to the Appearance tab, and set the ones you want.

Sounds like you accidently got changed to another store....
So, go to Settings>iTunes & App Store, and click on your AppleID at the top. Then click on View account, sign in, and then click on Country/Region, and follow the instructions to change your store to South Africa.
That should take care of it!

MacBook won't join networks on startup - what has changed?

I seem to have posted this in the wrong forum (Tiger rather than Snow Leopard), so on advice from iyacyas I'm reposting it here. Maybe it should be in the MacBook forum, but I will start here:
I am using my MacBook with the same version of the OS and the same networks as 2 weeks ago, but now I find that when I start up the machine near a known network (a WiFi router permanently connected to the Internet), the WiFi connects but I am not actually on the Internet. If I turn Airport off and on again, or if I renew the DHCP lease in Network Preferences, then I connect to the Internet instantly. This happens on networks in different countries with different levels of security (including one network with no security at all). I can't figure out how to fix it, and I can't figure out what has changed. I have done various Apple updates since installing 10.6.2 but none have claimed to do anything to network connections. Can anyone help me to get back to where I was.
BTW this problem doesn't seem to occur on my other Macs (one Intel, one PowerPC - tho these don't move around between locations) or my iPod touch.

Thanks - it took me a long time but eventually I tried a version of this. My MacBook remembers maybe eight networks and I don't know how easily I could re-harvest their passwords (the person who set it usually has to be present to tell me and that's not always the case), so I tried it with just one network, the one which I'm using now and which I set up myself. As it doesn't have a password (I live a long way from the next house and my nearest neighbours are a couple of un-cyber-aware horses), so there was no Keychain entry that I could see for the password. So I just deleted the network from the Airport list, and sure enough when I restarted I got an Internet connection immediately. However when I tried it again this morning, the problem had returned. As before, I can't see what has changed since this worked every time, nor what is the difference between my restart and my turning Airport off and on after the machine boots up.
Puzzled.

What has changed for OLAP Universe in BOXI3.1 SP2

All,
I would like to understand what has changed in BOXI3.1 SP2 in comparison with BOXI3.1 base version for OLAP universes.
We design Universe on top of MSAS 2005 cubes and create webi reports.
Based on BOXI3.1 SP2 what's new document- the enhancements seem to affect the Universe Designer- providing a developer with more control and options.
I am interested in learning if the release has any features that improves performance of BO against MSAS cubes.
Any feedback would be much appreciated.

My mac book air no longer supports the audio speakers on my panasonic tv when playing movies? what has changed in the last week for this not to work any more?

I used to be able to plug my mac book air to my tv via mini dvi to hdmi cable to tv and watch movies.
The audio no longer projects through the tv? in system preferences, sound, driver for sound output is not supported for my panasonic tv.
Just a couple weeks ago this was not a problem. I just plugged in my computer to the tv and it worked. what has changed?

CRMOD workflow notification that Includes what has changed in a record

Has anybody come up with a way to include inside workflow notifications what has changed when a record has been modified? I know I could hard code a bunch of IIF(PRE('<field1>')<>[<field1>], 'Field 1 has changed from ' + PRE('<field1>') + ' to ' + [<field1>] + ', ', IIF(PRE('<field2>')<>[<field2>], 'Filed 2 has changed from ' + PRE('<field2>') + ' to ' + [<field2>] + ', ', '')).... But if there is a less labor intensive solution that would be ideal?

Find what has changed in backups

How does one find what has changed on the backups. When I click on a backup it shows user finder window. eg: In sys timemachine window/options, I choose not to backup applications. When I click on timemachine in dock it show the last one I did with this setting. click on side bar under user/application and it shows all apps. I would think it would not show anything because I told it not to backup applications.
Maybe I am just dense...

1. open Terminal
2. cd to the directory containing the timestamped backup folders. This will be /Volumes/<yourbackup_drive>/Backups.backupdb/<your_computername>
3. run the following:

What has changed in HTTP Client VIs from LV2010 to LV2010 SP1

It appears to be a major internal undocumented change for HTTP Client VIs between LV2010 and LV2010 SP1. In LV2010, the client VIs used a dll called "ni_httpClient.dll", but in LV2010 SP1 it is not used any more, probably used pure LabVIEW solution. There was a bug in HTTP PostMultipart, since it couldn't be executed twice, needed to disconnect and connect to get it work again. However, in LV2010 SP1, they have done some changes, since this VI now returns a header stating it using HTTP 1.0 and not HTTP 1.1 as "old" LV2010 did. I've also had problems in LV2010 SP1 that if the server doesn't reply anymore the HTTP Client VIs hangs and I need to kill LabVIEW.exe process. In LV2010, there was a timeout. I've tried to set different time out between 10 and 10000. No difference. I know that there has been a bug in LV2010, since time out was in s and not ms as the controls says. Don't know if they have fixed this in SP1, it seems to be an infinite timeout...
Anybody has an experience of HTTP Client problems between LV2010 and LV2010 SP1?

I found what has changed from LV2010 to LV2010SP1
* ni_httpClient.dll is now included in the runtime engine (that was why I though they didn't use the ni_httpClient.dll anymore, but that is not the fact. It's not included in the builds anymore though)
* ni_httpClient.dll is version 1.1.0f14 in Lv2010 and version 1.1.0f0 in LV2010SP1. They have stepped back??? Why?
In Lv2011, ni_httpClient.dll is version 1.2.0f0. Maybe I can try this and see what happens.

What has changed in the B1iC for 8.81?

Hi guys
Does anyone know what has changed, or is there some documentation floating around, with the B1iC Dashboards in 8.81.
I had managed to get everything up and running on my laptop running 8.8, I have since upgraded to 8.81 PL02 and the dashboards don't want to run, the services all appear to be running etc.
I've noticed for example, on the Cockpit tab of the General Settings you dont have the URL input box anymore, surely this has got to somewhere?
Can someone please point me in the right direction

However, I'm having trouble getting this resolved.
SAP Note 1549532 appears to provide more useful information - however it looks like you need a PhD in computer science to actually understand the SAP instructions and and find the data needed even for the temporary workaround.
Sadly I fear that if you are not a IT professional you will not be able to do this, I will have to wait until SAP release further documentation or the patch they talk about to make this work again so I can demo it.

HT201335 What has changed regarding watching youtube on my apple tv from my iphone and macbook pro in the past month or two?

In the past month, I have stopped being able to play youtube content to my apple TV from my iphone - I can only get audio to play, and no video. When I activate mirroring, the video quality is much worse than it ever was before. Additionally, there is no option to play any content from youtube to my apple tv from my macbook. What has changed?

The native Youtube app was removed in IOS 6. You would have had to download the official 3rd party app, which has not been enabled for airplay. This is up to the developer to do.
The only way to do stream Youtube content from laptop to Apple TV natively is through Airplay mirroring, which requires a recent (2011 or later) model running Mountain Lion. The alternative is going through software, Airparrot.
