Dynamic Link Media Server Photoshop Cs6

Hi, i have a problem with this patch. When a I try to click on File/Import/Video Frames To Layers there's an error "DynamicLink Media Server is not aviable". I try to wait 30 second and restart the program and my pc, but there have been no changes.
I also updated the patch downloaded from the website version 1.01
I saw that others have had this problem, but I have not figured out how they did to solve it. I'm Italian and I understand little about your language so... could you explain it more clearly?
Thank you

There was a CS6 update that updated the DynamicLinkMediaServer http://forums.adobe.com/message/4768525#4768525
Also on my Windows & machine I see the following files if your on windows make sure you have them also

Dynamic Link Media Server Error On Video Export Photoshop CC 2014

    Hi,
Are you still having problems with CS6 Video Export?
What Export settings are you using? (A screencapture might be the fastest way to answer that.)
Does it work if you use the default settings?
If you have time to experiment, I have some suggestions:
Would you please try/verify the following:
    1. Be sure virus/security/parental control software hasn't trapped parts of Photoshop, Bridge, Premiere, Lightroom, or any Adobe app using DynamicLinkMediaServer. (Make sure the Adobe apps are added as exceptions if needed.)
    2. Ensure you have the latest version of QuickTime
    3. Close all Adobe applications - wait more than 30 seconds, then launch Photoshop and try to open and export the file.
    - If unsuccessful, view Task Manager/Processes to verify necessary processes started up when importing video (dynamiclinkmanager.exe, dynamiclinkmediaserver.exe and Adobe QT32 Server.exe)
    - If unsuccessful, please capture the full error message text.
    4. Close all Adobe apps, wait 30 seconds - launch Bridge and try to open/export the file.
    Thanks,
    Meredith

  • Dynamic Link Media Server Cannot be Found-

         Hi, everybody:
I am trying to retouch two video files in Photoshop CS6 Extended for Mac OS X, and I cannot find the dynamic link media server. I never had this problem before. It says a component is missing. I downloaded the update to the server and I even re-installed Photoshop Extended CS6. I have the Master Collection. I also have anti-virus software that I have turned off. It still does not work. Can family filters for my family be the cause of the server not being found? Thanks for the help and I do really appreciate it.

artisan 213574: have you resolved this problem?
I am experiencing the same problem minus that I have an anti-virus software.

  • Yesterday's Updates to Dynamic Link Media Server

I woke to find four updates to CS6 (Au, Ae, Ps, and Pr) yesterday, which the Updater called "Dynamic Link Media Server CS6 1.0.1 Update."
I updated, and I updated my CUDA about the same time.
Pr started working slower.  So, I reverted back, using my clone.
Not sure if this was a coincicence, or which update to blame.
I'm back to the performance from both that I was used to.
The CUDA update was for bugs I wasn't experiencing and for compatibility to 10.8, which I'm not running.
Was I too hasty?  Do these Dynamic Link updates do anything?  Improve anything?
    MacPro3,1 - CS6 - Quadro 4000 - 10.7.4

I don't doubt your engineer for a second.  I'm convinced now that the nVidia or most likely the CUDA driver is behind all my Serious Errors.  I was getting them right after opening a project and trying to do anything at all today.  I turned CUDA off, and was able to finish the project.  When that was out the door, I reinstalled the CUDA and nVidia drivers, rebooted, opened my project, enabled CUDA, and Pr has been working without the errors.
    Thank you, Todd!

  • Dynamic Link Media Server Missing!

I have install most of the licensed Photoshop modules (I am just awaiting delivery of two new laptops), however, we are just starting to use the 'video' training lessons and two installed pieces of software will not open the videos - they say that the Dynamic Link Media Server is missing. Can you advise on how this can be corrected?

    No. I guess you're misunderstanding.
we are just starting to use the 'video' training lessons and two installed pieces of software will not open the videos
You've mentioned the software will not open the videos. My question was what is the format of the video you're trying to open? MP4/ AVI/ WMV?

  • Dynamic link media server

Cs6, windows 7, Movies won't open "dynamic link media server not available"  ???

Haha, I was wondering about this myself!  When installing updates to a shared component (such as the Dynamic Link Media Server), why did it have to download the update multiple times?
I assumed that it was a slightly different update/version for each program.  If not...what a waste of bandwidth!

  • Dynamic Link Media Server error - lost video reference file and can't replace

I've had this problem twice in the last 4 days and both times it's coincided with an internet drop-out in the office. I've imported an uncompressed QT .mov into Audition CC, splitting the video and audio tracks, and added both to a multitrack session. I'm using the video reference track to sync SFX to an animation. The problem is that the video track stops playing in the video window, and Audition crashes. We've had problems with our internet connection and this problem occured when the internet dropped out. I wait for the internet to come back online and restart Audition, and get the following message:
"This file can only be imported using the Dynamic Link Media Server process, but it is still starting and cannot yet be used. Please wait while the process initializes and we import the selected files."
The app takes 30 seconds to load and my video reference track has disappeared and is labelled "Offline". I can't replace it in the multitrack timeline, even if I try to reimport the original .mov file into the project it only displays the file as audio with no video. I'm not using Premier and don't need to sync between apps, I just need Audition to recognise a video track on my local hard drive.
FYI: I'm running OS X 10.9.1 with Audition CC and have turned on "Enable DMLS Format support" in preferences.
Any help would be much appreciated as I'm thinking of reverting to Ableton!

Is this DMLS update ok for CC apps? RE: 10.9.1, looks like that update is for Mac Pro late 2013 machines, I'm running off a Mac Pro from 2010. Sounds like it wont be compatible?
On the 'about' link it says at the top "The OS X Mavericks v10.9.1 Update is recommended for all OS X Mavericks users." Sounds pretty unequivocal to me. You'd need absolute confirmation from Durin, but I can't on the face of it see why the latest version of DMLS wouldn't be compatible with the previous version - IOW, it should be fine. If either isn't, then they should refuse to install. But with the way that Apple has screwed up Mavericks, in all honesty, all bets are off about that, and I'm glad that I'm a W7 PC user.
I've wasted quite a lot of time lately fixing several ridiculous problems with Macs, including Mountain Lion's amazing ability to trash Wifi, etc, and quite frankly, I'm not impressed with them at all. So it's not blind prejudice, or even blatent bias this time either - FWIW I'm similarly underwhelmed with Windows 8.

  • Update dynamic link media server 7.0.1

  • Dynamic link media server not available

I'm using Photoshop CS6 and I keep getting this error while trying to import video frames to layers
I've looked around and tried the recommended steps offered on other threads. When I reboot my laptop it works again for maybe five minutes but the moment I try to import another video it doesn't work. If I close the program, wait 30 seconds, and try again I get the error message again. When I try opening Bridge the whole program freezes.
    Help would be greatly appreciated.

Some security tool on your system is blocking the service/ shutting it down.

  • Dynamic Link Media Server Error on Video Export CS6

    Hello,
Whenever I atempt to render video or export a photoshop file as a video I get the following error:
    dynamiclinkmediaserver has encountered an error
    [/Volumes/BuildDisk/builds/DynamicLinkMediaServer1/main/shared/adobe/MediaCore/ASL/Foundat ion/Make/Mac/../../Src/DirectoryRegistry.cpp-283]
    Continue Button.
Hitting continue does nothing and the application just hangs on the video export progress bar.
I've attempted to export several types of PSD files to video, some old, some new (made in CS6) and I always get this error. I have reset Photoshops preferences. I have uninstalled the entire CS6 suite and reinstalled it.
On a whim I decided to reinstall PS CS5 and try to export from there. Worked like a charm. Was able to export video from my PSDs like before.
    I am currently running:
    Creative Suite CS6 Master Collection

    Processor Name:          Intel Core i5
    Processor Speed:          2.8 GHz

  • Dynamic Link Media Server error in PS CS6

I've just installed PS CS6 Extended 32 and 64 bit versions 13.0.1 on a new PC running Windows 7.
If I try to open a video I get an error message:
When I click Continue I get this:
    And finally this ...
Can anyone help me fix this please?
    Thanks,
    Mike

    Thanks for your quick response.
Your first question is a bit puzzling! The CS6 installation disk contains 32 and 64 bit versions of the program and I installed both. I believe this is the usual procedure ...
    As for your other questions:
    1. I didn't modify the default installation paths, although subsequently I moved the scratchfile location to another drive to overcome the directory protection bug in CS6.
    2. The videos are standard MOV format from my Canon digital camera. I only imported one at a time and they are relatively small (a few tens of MB).
Yes, I tried rebooting but that didn't help.
Since I posted my question I found that unchecking "Use Graphics Processor" in the Preferences dialog has stopped the error ocurring. Why should this be? My processor is an AMD A4-300 with Radeon HD6410D GPU.

  • Dynamic link media offline...will only reconnect if both AE and Premiere Pro CC are open

    Hi,
I have a sequence that has dynamic linked media and it will not re-connect unless I have the after effects project open as well? This is causing major issues with render time. I have updated my mac, made sure my CUDA Driver is up to date Version: 7.0.36 and all of my adobe applications are up to date as well. Any ideas as to what is causing this error. I considered leaving both programs opening while exporting but the render time jumps up to 20 hours :~X and it is just a 27 minute wedding ceremony....only 1080p.

I do not. I made sure to uninstall them prior to going to CC. However, after multiple tests/theories I believe to have discovered the issue. I was using a third party plug in called neat video, which is a denosier. I found that overtime I use this effect the link would not hold up and I could not get it to reconnect unless both programs were open. I decided to try red giants denoiser on the same project and I had no issue connecting through dynamic link even when AE was not open. I'm not sure that this is the only solution or if was the root problem...but it seems to have fixed my issue. Everything seems to be working properly now that I have removed the neat video filters in after effects. Thanks for your time and help!

  • Dynamic Link not working in CS6

I'm working on a Mac on OS 10.7.4, dynamic link between Premiere Pro CS 6.0.2 keeps hanging up and won't successfully launch AE. Just to see if it was the individual project, I launched a new project and tried to link a single file and it did the same thing. I don't know if this is a preference thing or what, but any guidance is much appreciated.

  • Warp Stabilizer through After Effects Dynamic Link Locks up in CS6

    Hey Gang,
I've been using Warp Stabilizer through dynamic link in CS5.5 without issues.  However, when I go through dynamic link into AE, then apply Warp Stabilizer, AE locks up?
I can apply any other effects through this path in AE without issue, but when I try to apply WS, I get the "Analyze", but AE stops cold there.
    I've tried:
-Opening new project in PP with basic 5 second clip.  Then going through dynamic link into AE, and applying warp stabilizer first thing.  AE locks up there with the simplest flow.
-I have the latest downloads of the entire production CS6 suite.
-If I apply warp stabilizer directly in Premiere CS6 (which I did not know previously I could do), it works fine! (Just noticed Warp Stabilizer is present in PP CS6, but not in CS5.5).
-If I try to import the Premiere project from AE, AE locks up doing that?
It appears there are multiple issues here:
    1. I can't apply Warp Stabilizer in After Effects, and doing so crashes AE.
    2. I can't import a Premiere project into After Effects, and doing so crashes AE too?
I'm assuming I'm going to need to download AE again?
Thank you for any help and suggestions you may have!

    Hello Mylenium,
thank you for your input.  Naturally I would expect if my work flow in CS5.5 works great, I would not have to make any changes in CS6 to accomplish the same task.  With that said, I made it as simple as possible for CS6 AE to handle the Warp Stabilizer effect, and it crashed?  If I went directly back to CS5.5, no problems at all in AE (same source footage, but of course different projects).  When I first tried CS6 AE it appeared to work fine, even when doing Warp effects.  So when I ran into the issue I saw above, I started thinking it was possible the update I did to AE may have caused some other issue.  By the way, the projects I open in both CS5.5 vs. CS6 were independent, meaning, I did not convert a CS5.5 job to CS6, etc...   (See notes below).
    My setup is standard:
    i7 960
    16G mem
    Nvidia Quadro 4k
Footage is Canon 5D Mkii 1080p
    All drivers up to date.
-I think going back and forth between CS5.5 and CS6 may have caused some issues?  When I rebooted my system, CS6 AE seems to work fine when applying Warp Stabilizer effects again.
-What I did find more interesting and effective, was that CS6 Premiere has Warp Stabilizer right in its own effects now!  Works great in the premiere flow and plays back far better then going through the Dynamic Link with After Effects!  When playing Dynamic link effects back in Premiere, I'm sure everyone sees performance issues in the playback.  However, in at least with applying Warp Stabilizer directly in Premiere, the playback performance is much better.
    Thank you
