Dynamic Link Option is greyed out.

I'm using Adobe Encore CS3 - I'd like to bring in a comp from After Effects - However the Adobe Dynamic Link option is grayed out.
Besides uninstalling and reinstalling Encore, is there anything I can do to get this to work?
(FYI I had originaly installed Encore CS3, previous to getting Product Premium - which came with After Effects CS3)

As the source is HD, then the output should be 16:9 widescreen, but you listed it as 4:3.
In AME, choose "MPEG-2 DVD" and then "NTSC DV Wide Progressive" preset.
Besides bitrate, generally don't touch other sliders unless you are experienced, use defaults.
You CAN use the "Max Render Quality" checkbox at the bottom, as that helps with the downscale quality.
While DVDs can theoretically handle a max data rate of roughly 10Mbps (video and audio together), not a good idea to push that limit - as mentioned previously, some players may choke on playback with burned media. Most users have stick to a maximum of 7 or 8 for the video encoding, and then use Dolby audio (Encore will automatically transcode PCM to Dolby).
For longer videos over an hour, you may need to lower the bitrate to fit the material on the DVD. 560/minutes = bitrate works pretty well, just round down a little for safety margin. Example: 560/120=4.66 so use 4.5 average and good to go!

BlackBerry Link 'Restore' option is greyed out

I ran the latest BlackBerry 10 OS Update on my wife's BlackBerry Q10 last night. It seemed to work properly. However when my wife went to use her phone this morning it was at the Setup screen and all of her information has been lost.
Needless to say she is quite upset with me.
She tried to do a 'Restore' from BlackBerry Link after going through the setup on her Q10 but the "Restore' option is greyed out.

When you see your Q10 connected in the tab at the bottom of the screen, click on it.
Then click on the Settings gear icon at the top right of the Link app screen.
Then, in the far left panel, you should see the Backup & Restore options, do you?

All "timeline" menu options are greyed out in my copy of

All "timeline" menu options appear greyed out in my version of Dreamweaver 8. I've tried deleting the cache file and the configuration folder, but without success. There was originaslly some reference to a Javascript error message reference timeline(), since when I've ensured my Java was updated. Any ideas please?

I had been having trouble with the .xpj file not being created by RH11 and reinstalled TCS5/RH11. Then I created the project and was able to find and open the .xpj file. Like I said, I found then that the Link > Framemaker document option was greyed out and could only import the FM book.
I recreated another project and see that the Link > Framemaker document option is greyed out. I can only use Link > Word document, which is of no use to me. Any suggestions would be welcome!

All iWeb options are greyed-out, and can't make a new sites or pages.

I am having a very annoying problem with iWeb. Every option is greyed-out! I can't make a new page or site, and it quits as soon as I close the iWeb window. It is version 1.1.2 I have tried installing useless updates for iWeb that did nothing, and I've tried to open iWeb from iPhoto by clicking the iWeb button, which also did nothing. I'm just about to give up on it.
Can anybody please point me in the right direction or have a fix for this? All help will be appreciated!

The answer to your problem isn't necessarily the simplest, but I'm 99% sure that it will work for you.
You need to delete and reinstall iWeb. Not hard to do; you just need your installation DVD's that came with your machine.
Drag the iWeb.app from your Applications folder to the trash. Spotlight for other elements of iWeb, and trash those as well. Empty the trash and restart your machine.
On your recovery disks, as you move through the prompts, look for "Install bundled software". Customize the install to include only iWeb. After reinstalling iWeb you will be back to 1.0.1.
Update the app to 1.1.1 directly from this link:

This will get you going, and you can update to 1.1.2 when you are sure everything is working properly. For other FAQ on iWeb, please see this link:

All Update options are greyed out in RH11

Hi. I just reinstalled TCS5/RH11 to get rid of a missing .xpj file issue. Then I imported an FM book and created a glossary in RH11. I then edited my FM book and came back to my RH11 and tried to update the project with the changes in my FM book. All options of Update are greyed out so basically, I cannot update my RH11 project. Can someone hear me wail?

My 3D is not working in Photoshop CS5. All of the options are greyed out

Browse Sequences option is greyed out

Hello everyone,
When I use the wizard to setup my Generate output the Browse
Sequences option is greyed out. The checkbox is in the second
window in the wizard under the Additional Options view.
The navigation buttons for Next, Previous, and Sync TOC in
the webhelp output don't display. However, the close nav pane is
displayed and works fine.
Is there a way that I can enable the browse options in the
output?

UPDATES option is greyed out on CS6

Hi,
I am trying ot use the HELP > UPDATES option to update the Digital Publishing Suite side of InDesign CS6, as this is how the DPS instructions ask you to do it. But my UPDATES option is greyed out and can't be clicked on...

SMS option is greyed out.

I cannot seem to send sms from my iChat. In my File menu, SMS option is greyed out. Does anybody else have this problem. I also tried adding a to my phone number contacts. that did not solve my problems.

To Explain this Picture.
It is the Pop when you go to the iChat > File Menu SMS (When it is not Greyed Out)
To get that item to be active you have to have the Computer set as if it is in the United States
This is set in System Preferences > International in versions Snow Leopard or Earlier.
It is called text and Something in Lion on the top row of panes.
The Format Tab is the one that has to show the United States.
The Phone Number has to be in the United States as this is the only place AIM Offer the service.
What they don't make quite so clear is that the Phone Service also has to be linked to the AIM SMS Forwarding service.

In the Link Inspector the Add bookmark option is greyed-out. I want to make a heading on page 4 a bookmark so that readers can jump to that page from the beginning.

Confirm your process against the topic '- Hyperlink two words/text -' in iBA Tips and Tricks 01.
If a jump to page 4 is that important, I'd consider moving the content around so the user doesn't have to travel to see it - otherwise, just link to the first word on page 4 if using the title/heading gives you trouble.

Since updating to Yosemite and CS6 2 of my print options are greyed out on my epson R2880 print pane?

My colour and colour settings options are 'greyed out' on my Epson printer pane since updating to Yosemite and CS6,this happened before after running a software update on the printer driver! The driver version at that time was 6.62 and now it has updated to version 9.00....could this be the problem??

That's strange ... did you try restarting before printer install? You also may need to delete the printer itself (System Preferences > Printers & Scanners) and add it again , in order to access the proper drivers (?)

Trying to get cd onto ipod touch but snching options are greyed out - I've opted to manually manage.

I'm trying to get CD onto ipod touch. copied it into ITunes library but when I get to synching 'selected playlists etc' all options are greyed out. If I try and clink sync in bottom right hand corner it gives me warning msg that everything already on ipod will be deleted and I don't want that. any ideas?

Head to Settings -> General -> Restrictions on your iPod Touch and make sure that restrictions for app installations are turned off.

When I select the lab color mode, many options are greyed out?

Can anyone help me . When I select Lab color, many options are grey out. The following are greyed out: exposure,vibrance, black and white, channel mixer, and selective color. It worked perfectly the first time I used it but will not work now. Do I need to reset something. I have tried everything I can think of. I use a PC and PS 5.
