can someone give me some advise how i can make it work on a android tablet of mobile.

You would need to be using desktop Firefox to have a bookmarks toolbar. While there are tablet like devices that run desktop operating systems they tend to have a short battery life, be more expensive and are heavier than traditional tablets. For example the [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microsoft_Surface_Pro_3 Microsoft Surface Pro] would be the closest device that I can think of.

Are there any plans to develop a security package for android tablet PCs?  Would my VISS software work on my android tablet?  I have the same question about the WIFI client that allows you to search for Verizon hotspots.  Are there any plans to develop this for the android OS platform?

Based upon the post overheard/spotted in http://forums.verizon.com/t5/FiOS-Internet/WiFi-Connect-Utility-for-Mac/td-p/294039
I'm not sure when this happened or if it's always been true, but you can use Verizon Wi-Fi with other devices now. See http://wyang0.blogspot.com/2012/01/verizon-wi-fi-for-all-devices-mac-linux.html
I suspect the answer is no.

  • Support for dynamic forms using javascript for android tablet

I have some complex multipage pdf forms with javascript functions and calculations made in Acrobat X Standard, I can open and use parts of the form in ezyPDF android app, however the javascript is not fully supported, does anyone know of any plug ins or work arounds to view my forms on an android tablet, my forma have to be stand alone as internet access is not always available.
    Regards Mike

Get to know CF's structure / array notation. This comes in
very handy when dealing with queries and form fields.
    - Form.myFieldName can also be referenced by
    Form["myFieldName"]
    - MyQuery.myField can also be referenced by
    MyQuery["myField"][rowNumber]
Anything in the above example surrounded by quotation makes
can be made dynamic by just adding in a cf variable surrounded by
    pound signs:
    get_dealer_completion["level_#level_id#"][1]

    Hi,
I'm sorry you had this issue, following is a direct link, but note that you may not receive update notices in the future so you'll have to keep Firefox up-to-date manually.

There is work in progress to make Firefox mobile available in the amazon app store, see bug https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=690791

  • Flash player for android tablet

downloaded archived version of flash player onto android tablet but only get settings not actual app

There is no more Flash Player for Android and there won't be another. Android is no longer compatible with Flash Player. Archived versions WON'T run on anything newer than 4.0, as well, and even then you'd have to "sideload" it and make several changes to get it to work, and you'd run into numerous pages and sites that will tell you you need to update to the latest Player. Honestly? it's a waste of time. Playing Flash content is very processor consumptive and it drains your battery, also shortening the life of it. Android (Google) recommends using either "Dolphin" or "Puffin" as your browser if you need to view Flash content with a mobile device running Android. They're both free in the GooglePlay store. These browsers use "server side" rendering to reduce the load on your device.

  • I don't ever want sync, so how do I kill it in FF for Android tablet?

I have absolutely no wish to ever have my desktop-based info accessible via my tablet. The devices serve quite different purposes.
Sync, together with the "Aw, s***! Screen" fouls up my Firefox for Android experience so badly that I have to use a different, inferior browser.
It seems mozilla is becoming as authoritarian as MS (or North Korea) in controlling its users' lives - hardly the "open source" community ethos.
Please allow users the ability to kill off unwanted, non-essential elements of Firefox. Building a few on/off switches into the source is a trivial exercise. Of course, it would be better to allow a proper tailoring process at installation, so that the bloatware is only loaded by those who perceive a need for it.

Firefox including firefox desktop has the option to sync but you need to set that up it will not do anything unless you do set it up. Depending on your device it may have its own methods for also syncing some data, but that is nothing to do with Firefox.

*[[How do I set up Firefox Sync?]]
*[[How do I manage my Firefox Sync account?]]
*[[Use Sync to share your Firefox bookmarks, passwords and more with Firefox for mobile]]
Firefox as always remains customisable, and there is very little that you can not opt out of or modify.

  • Is anyone developing for Android Tablet?  (w/different resolution?)

The default Android smartphone resolution is 480x800.
But the biggest screensize so far for an Android Tablet is the Samsung Galaxy tab at 800x1280.
Was wondering if anyone is developing a flash app at the 800x1280 resolution?  or is this not an option?  or not smart to do?
I don't own an android tablet, so it's hard for me to test a 480x800 app on the 800x1280 screen.

My own personal preference is to target the phones first since that's probably 80% or more of your users and the proportions between iPhone and your average Android phone are similar so once you have it laid out nicely for the iPhone or vice versa it will function just as well on the other platform. The slim galaxy tablet is basically an enlarged Android phone so it will port nicely too, where the iPad is closer to a square and its significantly larger than an iPhone so its sort of a special case.
I dont know if there is a way to get the PPI of the device, pixels per inch, but that would be a very useful number to have since then you just make your buttons equal a quarter inch across all devices instead of having giant buttons on the iPad or unclickable buttons on the iPhone.

  • Selecting Printer for Android Tablet

I am the proud owner of a HP Officejet PRO 8500A printer.  I also own a Verizon/Motrola 4G Android Tablet, model MZ67.  I want to "select" this printer so as to print files, etc., from my tablet.  However, so far I've not been able to do so.  I've tried several different Apps all to no avail.  I constantly get a "No Printer Selected" notice.  Please help me with this problem.

    Hi Ridgeview1157,
When printing from Android, there are a couple of paths.
First, there is the HP provided, free Android apps such as the ePrint app.  This allows printing from within that app.
Second, Google Cloud Print is used for printing from apps such as the gmail app.  You would need to setup the printer on Google Cloud Print before it shows up.

  • Adobe Flash Player for android tablet?

When I'm trying to read a newspaper on my Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 I'm advised to install Adobe Flash Player. But, when I try do download it to my android tablet I only receive this error message: "This content requires Adobe Flash Player, whis is not supported by your device. This content can be viewed on a desktop computer or on mobil devices that support Flash Player." Is it possible to find a link to an URL where I can download Adobe Flash Player to my Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1?

Android no longer supports Flash Player (they dropped ALL support in June of 2012). Adobe continued to release "security" updates for older versions until September 10 2013, but that has ended as well. Android cited the same reason for dropping it that Apple gave in 2006 when they released the first iPhone and iOS. "Playing Flash content is processor consumptive and kills batteries as well as shortening battery life in mobile devices." Android began restricting acces to Flash Player in the GooglePlay store in August of 2012 and AFAIK, it's no longer available at all since the last security update was released by Adobe.
Android recommends "Dolphin" or "Puffin" browser, either of which should work for playing Flash content, because they use "server side" rendering, which takes the load off of your Android device.

  • Why is Firefox unavailable for Android tablets that do not have the Android market?

I own a Padigital Planet Android tablet, which can not use Google's Android Market, but the only link for Firefox for Android points to Google's Market.

    Hi,
The Pandigital Planet tablet doesn't meet the minimum requirements for Firefox Mobile support and isn't currently listed as a supported device. For minimum requirements, see
    https://support.mozilla.com/kb/will-firefox-work-my-mobile-device
Following is a direct link to the application, but note that you may not receive update notices in the future so you'll have to keep Firefox up-to-date manually (if it is even compatible, which I believe it is not). http://bit.ly/fennecftp

  • BT FON app for Android Tablet - help

I have just got a Android tablet.
It runs a cut down version of Android 2.1 and doesn't have Android Market on it.
Anybody got any ideas how I can download the BT FON app without going to the Android Market?

    Yes, and No.
If you are on BTBBAnywhere, you are on option 3, which gives you unmetred access (nearly) to Fon.
The key to Fon is not a BT SIM card, but a BTBB a/c.  I only know option 3 (which I am on) and that gives you open access.
So if you are with another operator with a windows/android/i phone + a BT Broadband #3 a/c, you sign in on the BTBB landing page with you BT username and password (sub-accounts dont work).
I dont know that #1 and 2 on BTBB have.
    AQ.
