Dynamic page jump problem

Hi All
I have been using the following code in a button to jump to a certain section in my form
xfa.host.currrentPage=pagenumber
This is fine in a static form but how can I get the button to go to a particular section in a dynamic form?

In a dynamic form you will not know what the page number is so you cannot use that technique....but you can put the cursor in a field using xfa.host.setFocus("fieldName").
I have seen other people put a small 1pixel by 1pixel field on the top of the page (make the field have no borders and have the foreground and background color the same colour as the page) then set your focus to that field. The user will not know it is a field (because it is so small).

A side comment about your HTML code. Why don't you use an unordered list (bullet list) for your links?

URGENT: iframe in a dynamic page. Strange Problem.

I have a typical problem.
I created a Dynamic Page which brings out the information of a Purchase Order (PO). (PO_REPORT)
Now the numer of items in a PO can vary from 1 to anything.... so I made a seperated report based on sql query (ITEM_DETAILS) which I can restrict to 5 records. Now I called this report using the <iframe> tag and passing the parameter value of the PO number to this report.
Until here everything is fine.
But the problem starts after this. I have a item code on this report (ITEM_DETAILS) which has an underlying link, clicking on which it runs the same report with an added parameter of Requisition number which again populates another iframe in the same dynamic page along with the Requistion details for that item.
But as the Dynamic page is loaded, the ITEM_DETAILS report's first 5 items are shown again. Even if I click on the item link on the 6th item (which will come on the next page) after the dynamic page is loaded, the first page will be loaded again.
Is there a way by which I can reach the same place after clicking on the link or if I click on the item code link only the contents of the requistion details frame are changed.
Any help would be appreciated.

Dynamic page search passing parametars problem

I'm having problems with the search dynamic page in Oracle portal 3.0.
I don't know how to pass the bind variables through the form in the Oracle manner, like p_arg_names and p_arg_values. Can someone please e-mail me a short search dynamic page like an example , how can a bind variable be passed through a from.

Problem with a Link calling a dynamic page

Hi!
I wanted to create a link calling to a dynamic page. This dynamic page displays a PDF depending on the parameter, the thing here is that I don't know how to set the bind variables or more likely how to say that the value of those variables is going to come from the link in which the dynamic page it's been called.
I have my PL/SQL code where I have this bind variables
id_dep
id_tipo
and I went to the Customization Form Display Options button and there i made them public.
now on a page i created a link with the following structure, in order to call the dynamic page and send the parameters.

well what I meant was that, see in the manage page for the Dyn Page there are some options bellow, in the one that sais Customize you can test the page, and I put there the values for id_dep and id_tipo as *11* and *25* then run the page and it opens the PDF but when I click on the link you suggested

...The code I put in my last post is the code for my dyn page, and there's an if where if it doesn't find a file to deploy it show a message that sais "No hay Datos o No Aplica", so when I clic on the link it takes me to the dyn page but shows the message for no data found...
so I don't know what's going on.... if supposedly the dyn page is receiving the same values in different way, why it doesn't work with the link? -_-

Dynamic page problems

I've recently started to play with applications in 3.0.9.8.1. I've noticed that the option to make a schema an application schema as gone - do we not have to worry about this anymore?
I created a custom schema and set up the grants etc via the provsyns.sql script. I created a public synonym for my pkg and granted execute on it to PORTAL30_PUBLIC. I then created an application and attempted to create a dynamic page. In the dynamic page I just entered a simple block to call the procedure between the <ORACLE> tags:

and clicked on finish. I received the following error:
110/22 PLS-00302: component 'DYN_08175622' must be declared
110/13 PL/SQL: Statement ignored
112/22 PLS-00302: component 'DYN_08175622' must be declared
112/13 PL/SQL: Statement ignored
Any ideas as to what is going wrong?

Just a guess, probably wrong but have you tried
<jsp:param name="LINK1" value="<%=CertificationProperties.WEB_ROOT%>"view.jsp""/>
or similar, I am assuming view.jsp is a literal, and should not be within the tags for your variable.

Problem calling Procedure with parameter from Dynamic Page

I received an error saying the Page not found
here's how to reproduce the error.
1. Create procedure in portal30 schema.
Create or Replace PROCEDURE PORTAL30.ADD_TWO_VALUES
v_one IN NUMBER,
v_two IN NUMBER,

2. Create Dynamic Page with following code

However when I subsitute "ADD_TWO_VALUES(:v_one,:v_two, v_total);" in the dynamic page for "ADD_TWO_VALUES(3,2, v_total);", it runs just fine.
What's wrong here? Can I not use a parameter from a dynamic page and call a procedure with it? Help is needed urgently and will be greatly appreciated.

I created the procedure in <mySchema> and granted that to <application_schema> and made some changes

Problem: Dynamic Page portlet is not displayed on a public-viewable page

I've written a little dynamic page portal that works nicely on secure pages, but when I create a new page and mark this page as "public viewable" - the portal is not displayed.
I created a 2nd public page and put several prebuilt and some of our own portlets onto this page - again none worked - except the prebuilt "login" portlet.
Is there a restriction that I'm not aware of?
Is there a documentation about this behaviour?
Can anyone post me a hit or link to documentatin?

Make sure your Portlet Provider access is set to allow 'PUBLIC' access with Execute';
To set, navigate to Providers > Locally Built Providers
Follow 'Grant Access' link near provider name

In a dynamic page how to share variable between PL/SQL and javascript

For example, my dynamic page contains such PL/SQL codes:

The variable 'info' and '_row_id' are correct, however the two HTP. sentence do not work. What's the problem?
What I want to do is to show all the records in TABLE A in a page. And at the end of each line (record), there' re a 'delete' and a 'update' button to let user operate on this record. Is this possible? I know form can do delete an update, but it can not show all the records in a page like what report does. Besides dynamic page, is there any other better choice? Report can do it?
One more question. In a report, I employed link on one field to a second report. It works well. But I want to open the second report in a new window when the link is click. Is this possible?

The code written by you is insufficient for the funtionality you are trying to achieve. Below is a method to achieve the same.
Note: Used standard scott.emp table for the example which is located in my db provider schema.
Do the below modifications as per your local configuration
xxxxx -> Replace it with your Portal schema
yyyyy -> Replace it with your db provider schema
<<module_id_of_form>> -> Replace with the module id of form created in step 1 & 2.
First and foremost... oracle does not allows variables starting with '_'. So if you want to use it you have to place it in double quotes ("")
rowid -> illegal
"_row_id" -> legal.
However, I will advice you not to use variable names starting with "_".
Now lets get started...
1. Create a form on the table you are using in the dynamic page. Just have the update button. Remove the other buttons.
2. Get the module id of this form. Instruction for getting the module id:
a) Right-click on the form's run link and copy the shortcut
b) Get the value of p_moduleid parameter. This is your module id.
3. Create a procedure "save_action_details" in your db provider schema. This procedure will accomplish the delete operation on the record.

Explaination: The above procedure creates a session and keeps the rowid and action in the session. This information is used by the below dynamic form to perform the necessary action. In our exampl, the action is always going to be delete so you may go ahead and hard code it, else leave it as it is.
4. Grant execute privilege on the procedure "save_action_details" to public.

a) In HTML code section have the below code. This code shows some columns from the table and "update" and "delete" buttons to perform the respective action.

Explaination: The session information (rowid and action) stored by "save_action_details" procedure is retrieved by the dynamic page and is used to delete the record.
6. Once you are through with the above steps, test it by placing the above "dynamic page" portlet on a page.
a) When you click on delete button the record gets deleted and the automatically refreshed page will not show the deleted record.
b) On clicking update button, a form will appear. do the necessary modifications in data and click update. the data in the form gets updated. Once you close the form the dynamic page gets refreshed automatically and it will show you the updated information.

Need to display column names in a dynamic page

How to get form fields in a dynamic page as a portlet

I have a dynamic page(publish as portlet and added to a portal page) with a html form that has many radio button created dynamically (query a table and create as many radio button as records I found) and the name of each radio button is the id of the record from the table it represents.
When I click the submit button of my form it will recall the same portal page and then I have to check which radio buttons where selected to update the database depending on it.
The problem is that I can't get the radio buttons inside the dynamic page because they are created dynamically so I can't make them portlet parameters to be associated with page parameters.
So How can I tell which radio buttons have been selected?

Write a procedure which will be called as the form action. This procedure should take an array of parameters like p_arg_names and p_arg_values. For example

Error creating dynamic page in an application with a schema other than portal30

Running 9iAS 1.0.2.2 on Solaris.
Database 8.1.7.1
I cannot seem to create a default dynamic page (select 'x' from dual) in an application that has a schema (e.g. test) other
than portal30. The error seems to be when portal tries to compile the dynamic-page package, it references itself from
within the package but prefixing the call with the other (test) schema. It never seems to compile? What seems to be the
problem? Any ideas?

If you are using any database object other than the applcation owned,then it has to be prefixed with the schema owner.
For example,
if the application schema is based on the schema "schema1" (say)
and your query is based on one of the object on "schema2"
and if you have necessary privilegves to access that object from schema2, then the compiler wont throw any error.
Can u explain, what u problem you are experiencing in detail?
(Also, if u give me the portal version, I can cross-verify that).
