Dynamic presentation software

I am looking for software that will run on OSX for my MBP that is similar to MediaShout. As far as I can tell, Keynote is just a high end version of PowerPoint. MediaShout has the ability to run text over video, make changes to slides on the fly within a program, be able to see and make changes to any slide while the program is going, and all other sorts of goodies. Does anyone know of any software that would do something like that for the Mac??? thanks!

  • MacBookPro IR remote use with presentation software

Hi all. This is my first post to the forum, after my first full day with my new MacBookPro. I'm a long-time MS Windows / PC user, never used MAC before. (I wished I'd bought a mac sooner! I'm hooked!) So there's my background, now here's my question:
The new MacBookPro comes with this schnazzy little IR remote. Could anyone tell me if this remote can also be used to "select next slide" when using presentation software like PowerPoint, Impress (open-source), or KeyNote?
Since all of these software packages simply use an "Enter" or "Space" key press to advance slides... it seems this would be a simple thing to get to work.
I'm grateful for anyone's help or advice. Thanks!
MacBookPro   Mac OS X (10.4.9)   New to MAC, not to computers.

Yes I used it with Keynote but first, go to system preferences/security and veryfie that disable remote control infrared receiver is not chek.

  • Any presentation software that can put equations inline?

As far as I can tell, this is not possible in Keynote, because it does not allow equations, graphics, etc. to be placed inline—that is, such that they flow with the text. For some reason, it seems like word processing apps can all do this, but presentation apps can't:
Pages, yes; Keynote, no. Word, yes; PowerPoint, no. LibreOffice Writer, yes; Impress, no.
You think they'd use the same text engine for both...
Anyway, anyone know of some presentation software that can do this? (I may be reduced to using Beamer/LaTeX, but this is not a thrilling prospect.)

    Seef,
Is this site any use? http://www.mixalbum.com/main/C0
You mix your tracks online, but more importantly, you can get to try the system before you commit any money.
    Good Luck!
    Ken.

  • Presentation Software

I am looking for presentation software that can be displayed on multiple computers, Mac/PC and controlled from an iOS device or laptop. I found some apps that run on 1 computer and and can be controlled from an iOS device but I need multiple device control with lock out capabilities. As an instructor I would like to display on the overhead plus up to 30 computers at the same time and walk around the room lecturing. I want lock out control as to prevent students from surfing/email during lecture. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Also, what is the program used during Mac software demos that can highlight a selection on screen?

Yeah, unfortunately this is a PC based facility so no Macs, except my own. When I am assigned a room with 2 LCD's I can plug in my Mac or iPad and control it that way but I don't always get that option. One can dream... Thanks though.

  • What kind of presentation software is this?

I've seen online presentations where someone is speaking but all you see are real-time drawings of animations.  The drawings flow with the person's voice and context.  These drawings are text being written out, it will also draw some people then color them in.  It will draw buildings/factories, a sky, etc and color all of these in.  There will be more text drawn in real-time next to each figure to annotate context and importance.  The figure drawings are very good.  The speed of drawings are usually very quick to keep up with the person talking.  Anyone have any idea what kind of presentation software that is or what that style of presentation is called?

Video and graphic post production software, not presentation software  creates what you describe.
Apples video applications; Final Cut Pro X and Motion   can do most of this type of work.
However top end work is done on very expensive computer systems with vast amounts of storage and very expensive software, were are talking the cost of adetatched house.

  • Presenter software for 6300 will it work for vista...

i have windows vista running the pc part of presenter software for nokia 6300 will it work fine with windows vista

I sent myself an email back when I upgraded to Vista, I just looked back and found the email. It had some links in it (which are no longer good), but there was some useful information and troubleshooting guides on there on how to get various older versions to work on Vista machines. I was thinking there was a "trick" on there about setting the date back on the computer or something while reinstalling Illustrator in order to get it to work. I have AI 10 at home as well, but I have not yet installed it on the Vista Machine as I got CS3 and use it on my XP machine just fine.
If I were you I would hold off as long as you can, like Marian said, and maybe by then CS5 will be out too.

  • I just bought an iMac. It was to come with pages, numbers, and the presentation software (like power point). I can't find these programs.

Have you checked your Purchase and Updates at the app store? You will usually need to accept them and then download/install. If that does not work, you can follow these instructions:

Cannot offer suggestion for free, but if you don't find anything free, you might want to consider this:

  • Will Presenter eventually be compatable with non-PowerPoint presentation software?

I can see the advantages to having a PowerPoint plugin, but
extending capatability to something like OpenOffice would be a
great way to pull in users from all OS and avoid forcing Connect
    users to purchase MS Office.
Or, perhaps, an Adobe-forged online/local editor for
Presenter presentations would make more sense to avoid the use of
third-party apps altogether. Just wondering if this is something
    that is being looked into...
    Thanks.

This post was 2005 and no answer till now???!!!??? where are the admins? and where Adobe?!
I wanted to test presenter 7 because I general realy like adobe products, but I won't buy, just because Adobe wan't it, Microsoft Office products. I am using OpenOffice for more than 2 years and I am realy happy with it. So no reason to change.
I realy have to say, that I don't understand the adobe politic to exclude open source software.

  • Best presentation software

Ok yes I use Keynote for a number os years now. Good software, but now I need something that I can lay down multi audio tracks over multi slide. In keynote I can add a background soundtrack or insert audio for one slide.
What is the best mac presentation/slideshow software out there?

Klaus' method of producing high quality slide show movies/DVDs:
There are many ways to produce slide shows using iPhoto, iMovie or iDVD, but they all have one thing in common: they reduce the quality of the photos to that of a movie still frame and sometimes limit the number of photos you can use.
If what you want is what I want, namely to be able to use high resolution photos (even 300 dpi tiff files), to pan and zoom individual photos, use a variety of transitions, to add and edit music or commentary, and to end up with a DVD that looks good on both your Mac and a TV - in other words end up with and end result that does not look like an old fashioned slide show from a projector - you may be interested in how I do it. You don't have to do it my way, but the following may be food for thought!
Firstly you need proper software to assemble the photos, decide on the duration of each, the transitions you want to use, and how to pan and zoom individual photos where required, and add proper titles. For this I use Photo to Movie. You can read about what it can do on their website:
    http://www.lqgraphics.com/software/phototomovie.php
(Other users here use the alternative FotoMagico: http://www.boinx.com/fotomagico/homevspro/ which you may prefer - I have no experience with it.)
Neither of these are freeware, but are worth the investment if you are going to do a lot of slide shows. Read about them in detail, then decide which one you feel is best suited to your needs.
Once you have timed and arranged and manipulated the photos to your liking in Photo to Movie, it exports the file to iMovie 6 as a DV stream. You can add music in Photo to Movie, but I prefer doing this in iMovie where it is easier to edit. You can now further edit the slide show in iMovie just as you would a movie, then send it to iDVD 7, or Toast, for burning.
You will be pleasantly surprised at how professional the results can be!

  • I facilitate a lot of workshops and working sessions where Iuse presentation software. What I want to be able to do is "draw" on the presentation slides with a tool which will allow the drawing to be seen on screen and captured as mark ups or notes.

Can anyone suggest the right software / tool? I am thinking that if the presentation was run on an Ipad it might be possible to have an app which can be used to "mark-up" the slides so that it can be seen on screen for all to see and capture the markings so that you can leverage the mark-ups as notes for changes to be made based on the working session. Can anyone suggest a successful way of accomplishing this?

It's not something I've ever done. But SlideJockey:
    http://slidejockey.org/
    ... or Power Presenter:
    http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/power-presenter/id369363727?mt=8
... look like they might be worth investigating.

  • How do i get network presentation software(wireless) Sony

Recently, my office have purchased Wireless Network Presentation Sony and when we install in my MacBook Pro, the software didn't work saying the software is not compatible with the Mac. Can any one assist me to get the mac compatible software to install that software?

If it has been on a contract for at least 6 months you can just apply for unlocking from your online a/c, otherwise ...
To unlock an EE-locked phone, you need to get a Free EE PAYG SIM for it, register an online a/c for it with EE in your own name and top it up with at least £9 to cover the unlocking fee and apply to EE to unlock it by filling in the Unlocking your device form as the PAYG option.  It is not free to unlock an EE-locked phone.

  • Can't find Nokia Presenter software compatable for...

I have recently purchased this phone and following the instruction guide i am not able to find the correct software to get this feature up and running.
Every time i try to connect from my 8600 i get a message saying 'Make sure Nokia Wireless Presenter on the PC is ready and try again'
I have followed a link using software for another nokia phone but the application must not be compatable.
Help would be much appreciated - thanks in advanced

    Hi unstoppablehove
Isn't the application on CD in the sales package?
I presume you looked at the link for the 6233 which is a similar S40 phone: http://europe.nokia.com/A4160373
It might not be the end of your problems as Wireless Presenter application is a little tricky to set up as you must know the COM port used by the Bluetooth adapter.

  • Which "Presentation Software" Imports Best?

    Hello,
I am looking to create video in iMovie which incorporate slides from Powerpoint, Keynote, Camtasia - whichever. What I've found is that it's very hard to text to appear clear no matter which you use (I export/import those files as movies into into iMovie) I've even tried exporting individual slides as pictures to then import through iPhoto - still blurry. Titles don't proved enough options in terms of amount of content or placement on screen - same with mattes created in photoshop, etc.
    Any ideas are much appreciated!

  • Make Keynote default presentation software

I have office 08 on my Mac but have now switched to iWork 08. I don't want to delete office 08 as there are some occasions when I need it, but i prefer to work in iWork 08.
How do I make keynotes the default program for presentations. Likewise for pages and numbers respectively?
    Cheers

Highlight a known Word document in the Finder, highlight it & choose Get Info from the File menu. In the Get Info box, click the triangle next to "Open With." Click on this drop-down menu & choose Pages. If Pages is not a choice, choose "Other" & navigate to the Pages application. Now click the "Change" button under the text that asks if you want to open all documents like this with Pages. You can then double-click the Word documents & they will open in Pages. Note that the icon for the Word files will have a plain, white icon.
    Repeat with Excel/Numbers & PowerPoint/Keynote.
