Dynamic rendering forms in abap

Hi all,
i am almost new in designing forms by adobe lifecycle designer.
I am designing the forms in SAP transaction SFP
and call my forms from the abap platform via function module.
Now i have the problem, that the adobe document server does not allow to render dynamic forms. So any use of javascript fails...
The rendered form shows in the xml the following lines:

 <acrobat7>
 <dynamicRender>forbidden</dynamicRender>
 </acrobat7>
 <common>
Has anyone a clue, how to make the ADS render a dynamic form?

I am very new to Adobe LiveCycle Designer and Adobe Form Server.
Is is possible to create form elements dynamically? For example. User
A's has 2 choices , so when the form is rendered for User A, he/she sees
2 checkboxes, whereas User B' has 3 choices, so the form should display
3 choices.
what is the approach generally followed? Any suggestions will be
appreciated.

Hi John, Thanks for the prompt reply. I am trying something similar. It works partially. I have 3 checkboxes, planA, planB and planC. The checkbox becomes visible/invisible based presence/abscene of xml tag respectively (see test.xml below); BUT the checkbox does not show up as checked (even though the value in test.xml is 1 for planC). I tried the following FormCalc (run at Client) in the initialize event of planC checkbox if (Exists($data.distributionForm.participant.plan.planC)) then planC.presence = "visible"; planC.rawValue = $data.distributionForm.participant.plan.planC; else planC.presence = "invisible"; endif Here's my test.xml <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <distributionForm> <participant> <plan> <planA>1</planA> <planB>1</planB> <planC>1</planC> </plan> </participant> </distributionForm> What am I doing wrong? Jdeveloper : Creating data bindings for dynamically rendered form

In Jdeveloper application, I've created data controls using web service(WSDL). In my application, I have a form which is rendered at run time. How can I set the form da ta to the parameters inside the data control?

Adding rows in web dynpro ABAP Dynamic Interactive form.

Hi Experts,
I am having problem in web dynpro ABAP Dynamic Interactive form.
This is my scenario....
I have a dynamic interactive form that has buttons to add and remove rows in a table. It works fine when I preview it , but when I render, view or save it using ADS, it no longer works. The "add" button actually does instantiate more repeating rows, because I put some trace messages in to count them, but the added rows are not displayed. How do I make them visible?
In web dynpro java we write some coding in modify view to set the pdf form as dynamic

iForm.setDynamicPDF(true);
simillarly what we need to write in web dynpro ABAP.
Please give me solution for the same.

Dynamic .pdf forms

Hello everyone,
I am trying to find an application for my Curve 3300 that is able to render Adobe Dynamic XML Forms (it's a .pdf form, but it is created using LiveCycle Designer and has dynamic content that makes finding a renderer difficult.)
I've tried the free trial of beamberry, and it isn't able to render the form... I get a "you need a newer version of adobe reader" error.
Has anyone else out there had the same issue? If so, how did you resolve it? Can PDF To Go read dynamic .pdf forms?
I'd appreciate any help that any one can offer.

P.S. does anyone know which version of Adobe Reader is functionally equivalent to the Blackberry .pdf reader apps? Is it possible to know that, or are they two different creatures altogether?
P.P.S. I figure that alot of people won't have any experience with dynamic .pdf forms... Here is a link to a sample dynamic .pdf form that I created for testing purposes. If you think that you have an app that can read it, please try opening the linked .pdf file on your blackberry. If anyone out there is able to view it, please let me know what software you are using. For anyone in the future who has a similar issue, I've come up with a fairly simple workaround. It adds an extra step of work, but it allows you to continue using dynamic forms in your workflow.
The ideal solution is if your office has a server-side adobe document output service. You can push your form to the server, have it extract the data into a datawarehouse, then output a flattened .pdf. A flattened .pdf cannot be (easily) edited, and all code behind is removed. This solution is the 'best', (and it's the only way to flatten an xfa form, as far as Adobe is concerned) but it also costs some coin, especially if you don't have any existing infrastructure to support the server-side service.
The free solution (which I have opted for) is to use a virtual printer to 'print' the document to a suitable format. There are many free virtual printers out there, but I have decided to go with CutePDF Writer. I print to the CutePDF writer, and the output is, essentially, a flattened Blackberry compatible .pdf form. The only issue is that you cannot edit a flattened document (a bonus in my situation, but still something to keep in mind... You can still edit the original document, as the flattened .pdf is a copy, not a transformation.)
You can even add a print button to the form with some JavaScript to specify the printer as 'CutePDF Writer'. Altogether, it's easier than recreating all of the business forms that have been made in a static format, and you can still leverage all the benefits of a dynamic form.
I know that this isn't central to the Blackberry, and I apologize for that, but I had a rough time with this issue, and I'm hoping to help someone with the same issue in the future. Again, thanks to those who helped.

Dynamic Creation Form

Hi friends,
Is there a way to create dynamic creation forms in ADF,in jdev 10.3.3?
By this I mean--I need to populate a table in my DB and on my page I have an add button,
now at each click of add button,a new creation form should be displayed on the page one below the other.
finally there would be a Save button that would save all my entries to the table.
I searched a lot for the same...Please do help if anybody has any ideas..

Hi,
well, the easiest would be to create an updateable table and add new rows. If you need a form then you can use af:forEach or af:iterator with the table binding to render input form elements (more like a custom table rendering). However, its quite a bit of development that is required for this.

Web service soap call connection lost in rendered form generated by stichted fragments

Hi
I have fragment which uses a webservice call to get data from database and the output is bind to fields on the fragment. these fragements are dynamically inserted in the insertion points and the fragments are stichted using assembler and the form is rendered and reader extensions are applied. when I click on the execute button of generated form the web service is not called because the connection is lost when the form is stichted and rendered.
I used the fragment in a standalone form and reader extended that form and everything works fine, the web service is called and i get the data.
can any body explain what is the problem with rendered form by stichthing the fragments, what needs to be done in case of stitched form?

Firstly thanks for reply Sir, Sir when i called this from Dot Net it's working but i called from form builder then error occured.
Error Code Is :-
[SOAPException: faultCode=soap:Server; msg=Server was unable to process request. ---> System.Data.OracleClient requires Oracle client software version 8.1.7 or greater.]
I think something wrong when Dot Net web service and oracle integration. So may be i need other tool to integrate

Don't think there is anything by that name in abap namespace. Have heard of Interactive forms, smartforms, and abap quickviewer

How can you update the content of a textfield in a dynamic xml form from MSAccess and VBA

I am trying to use the code below to update a field in a dynamic xml form created by Livecycle.
I can read the field content but cannot change it.
What am I missing?

You need to research the difference between an AcroForm and an XFA form. You're trying to access a "Field" object, which is an AcroForm object. An XFA form does not have fields, it has nodes. The JavaScript you are using is specific to AcroForms and you are working with an XFA form.

Render error while running interactive forms using ABAP

Hi all,
   I am trying to create an adobe form using ABAP through SFP T-code. While I am trying to execute it, it is generating a Render Error. The error message is as follows:

Message:
ADS: The render error log file has been written to D:\u(200101)
But in the file, it is showing 'NO ERROR REPORT FOUND'.
I have also tested by FP_PDF_TEST_00 program if the connection with the server is fine. It is showing it is fine. I have tested with JAVA code as well. It is also showing that connection is fine.
I could'nt get the reason for the error. It would be great if anyone can help me in this issue.

How to make dynamic PDF form flowable across 2 pages in LiveCycle?

I have a dynamic PDF form that is flowable on each page but not both. By that I mean that the fields on the 2nd page won't move to the 1st page if there is available space. How can I make the entire document flowable? I am using Adobe LiveCycle ES2 Designer to create the form. Thank you in advance.

Adobe Livecycle Designer ES 2 - Adobe Dynamic XML Forms?

How can you convert a dynamic XML form design in a static PDF Form design? I tried to save a dynamic XML Form as a static PDF Form, and then tried to preview it in Designer but the layout change scripts were working which should work only for dynamic xml forms and not for the static pdf forms. Please suggest another way to do it. Thanks in advance.

You use Master Pages to set layout that you want to use on multiple pages.
Design what you want in a Master Page and then assign it to the pages you want in Object>Pagination>Place: and choose On Page> whatever you called your Master Page.

Adobe Reader XI - dynamic PDF Form and the E-Mail Dialog

Hi Community,
I have a dynamic PDF Form and we use the E-Mail function to save the XML-Data to local harddrive. That works until Adobe Acrobat Reader 10.1.2. But with the Adobe Reader XI (11.0.4) the E-Mail Dialog has changed so I am One is forced to send the XML file with Outlook or the internal mailer and has no option to save the file locally.
Does anyone know a workaround or something similar. The Live Cycle server with PDF extension is too expensive for our small project.

Hi Pat,
Are you using Adobe Reader XI? And not Acrobat. It does not ask me to save the form if there are unsaved changes.
I have used previous versions of reader for saving this form data and it did allow me to save it with ctrl+s. And those versions did prompt me to save the changes before closing.
I guess I should not have updated the reader.
