Dynamic table in RFC

hi,
I wrote one source code in RFC which gives output as dynamic table.
I want this dynamics table as output of RFC.
In RFC, Table parameter does not support TYPE u2018ANYu2019 to define Table as Dynamic.
During runtime, RFC Code supposed to identify and fill columns.
I want to provide  output of this RFC to webservice.

hi
If your FM is RFC enabled you can't declare a generic type. that is the problem when you try to use the FM and try to pass a dynamic table name to get the data from the remote system. or you can check
Check these FM 's: RFC_READ_TABLE
RFC_GET_TABLE_ENTRIES
hope this will help

    Hi,
    If it's RFC or not it shouldn't be a problem for passing generic data types to FM. I've just wrote and tested this code and it works. I'm using here static type (lyv_msg) but you could as well use dynamic.

    data lv_msg TYPE REF TO DATA.
    FIELD-SYMBOLS <fs_msg> TYPE ANY.

  • Call Function with RFC  dynamic table

    Hi all
    I create a function compare TABLE_ENTRIES_GET_VIA_RFC and CTVB_COMPARE_TABLES, everything is.dynamic
    it works well but, how could i create a dynamic output parameter for table.
    the system show me that RFC and dynamic table don't work.
    i don't want line by line i would like to have the real structure inside of the Function i have everything but i can't move the data to the output parameter table .
    could somebody help ?

    Thx RE (and Mani) for the feedback.
    I think that this URL is sufficient to understand how to pass dynamic internal table via RFC function module, whatever it is input or output. This URL says to use a STRING to store the table content in XML format, via CALL TRANSFORMATION ID, and pass this string as parameter. In the calling program, we have to "decode" the XML back into abap data, Just notice that we don't need to create an XSLT, ID is sufficient.

    Hi,
      I am using dynamic table in interactive form(webdynpro java).  In that form i bind node for to populate the details for the table. The details should be come from RFC.
    The RFC contains more than one record. While i tried to populate all the records to the dynamic table i cant able to got all the datas. I got only one record to the table.
        Interactive Form table node structure is:
                Node                                          Cardinality                             Singleton
    vnPDFDataSource                                    1..1                                         true

  • Dynamic table with dynamic drop-down list values

    Hi,
    I need to display a dynamic table with 2 columns on an interactive form.
    My Context is defined as below:
    Root
    StudentData     0..n
    StudentName
    StudentCourses     0..n
    Text
    Value
    The 1st column should display student name, 2nd column should display student courses. The courses will be different for each student. I populated the context properly. I checked it by printing them. My DDL is bound to "Student Courses".
    When there is one row -> The DDL is populated with the courses of student 1 (as there is only one).
    When there are more rows -> The DDLs for all the students are populated with all the courses of all the students.
    I want to see the data populated like:
    TEXTFIELD    DROP-DOWN LIST
    Student 1------Student1-Course1
    Student1-Course2
    Student1-Course3
    Student 2------Student2-Course1
    Student2-Course2
    Student2-Course3
    I tried to do this in plain web dynpro using SVS.. it is also working similarly.
    I have set the singleton property of nodes "StudentData" and "StudentCourses" to false.
    Could any one tell me where I am going wrong?
    Thanks
    Ram

    Ram,
    I'm not sure how much this will help, but I know I had the same problem as you when I tried to get a similar thing working, but I can't remember which of the many changes I made fixed the problem, so I'll just show you my code and perhaps you can see if anything is different than yours.
    Here's where I'm creating my dropdown - in my case EastNew_RegOut is the same as your StudentData, and RateTypeDropValues is the same as your StudentCourses (the comments in the code are not meant to sound bossy to you, this is actually an example piece of code that other developers in my company "steal", so I have to put very specific instructions in there!):
    int nodeSize = wdContext.nodeEastNew_RegOut().size();
    for (int i = 0; i < nodeSize; i++) {
         //create an element called "table", that's the element at i.  So, basically it's a row.  Maybe I should have
         //called it "row" instead of table.
         IPublicDeviceExchange.IEastNew_RegOutElement table = (IPublicDeviceExchange.IEastNew_RegOutElement)wdContext.nodeEastNew_RegOut().getElementAt(i);
         //this line of code just executes an rfc that finds out what rates need to be in the dropdown for this particular row
         executeRateTypeDropdown(rateCategory, table.getNum(), wdContext.currentEastNew_MeterOutElement().getReggrp());
         //clear out what's already in there before we re-populate it.
         table.nodeRateTypeDropValues().invalidate();
         //now, I'm looping through all the values in the *actual* rate type dropdown (the one that's an RFC, populated by the above "execute" method)
         for (int j = 0; j < wdContext.nodeEastRatetype_DropdownOut().size(); j++) {
              //for each element in the *actual* Rate type dropdown, I'm going to create an element in my node that I created
              //and set the values from the *actual* one as the values in my node.
                        IPublicDeviceExchange.IRateTypeDropValuesElement element = wdContext.createRateTypeDropValuesElement();
              IPublicDeviceExchange.IEastRatetype_DropdownOutElement rateTypeOut = (IPublicDeviceExchange.IEastRatetype_DropdownOutElement)wdContext.nodeEastRatetype_DropdownOut().getElementAt(j);
              element.setText(rateTypeOut.getText());
              element.setValue(rateTypeOut.getRatetype());
              //here's another key - notice how I don't say wdContext.nodeRateTypeDropValues() - it's the one that's
              //directly off that table I created earlier - the thing that's essentially a row in my newReg table.
              //So, what I'm doing here is adding that new element I created to the dropdown FOR THAT ROW!
              //(btw, if you're trying to duplicate this, and this method does not exist for your "table" object, it's
              //probably because you didn't listen to me above and you didn't create your node with the singleton property
              //set to false.)
              table.nodeRateTypeDropValues().addElement(element);
    As for my layout... my table is bound to the EastNew_RegOut node, and the column with the dropdown is bound to RateTypeDropValues.Value  (that's probably obvious, but there you have it anyway)
    Finally, in my context, EastNew_RegOut is singleton = true (I was surprised about this, actually, I would have assumed it was false) with a selection of 0..1 and RateTypeDropValues has singleton set to false with a selection of 0..1
    I hope that helps to some degree!

  • How to pass Dynamic Table(s) to FM

    Hello All i hv an requirement in which i need to process a block of code recursively. right now i am trying to do the same with Subroutine but its hard i know. I have an option to use FM instead but i am not sure if we can pass dynamic tables to FM, so is there anybody who had solution for the same. otherwise i can use it using TOP include to declare dynamic table in comon arae as im calling it from another FM(RFC) but i  dont want to use that as it will consume more memory.
    So i have 2 question
    1. should i use FM instead of subroutine for recursive operation if yes how can know if i reached the maximum alloted size of memory for a program. is there any FM which can tell me about the memory used or somethign like that so that i can avoid any ABAP dump.
    2.how can i pass dynamic tables as input to parameters.

  • Populate Table from RFC in WD-Java Adobe Form

    Hi Experts,
    I have a Table in WD-Java Adbe Form. The first column is EMPLOYEE_ID and rest of the columns are EMPLOYEE_DETAILS.
    I provide the EMPLOYEE_ID as input in the first column and then on clicking of the CHECK button, I want to get the remaining columns populated with Employee Details
    If I enter just one employee id (Row1) then I should get the details of the first employee only.
    If I enter two employee ids (Row1 and Row2) then I should get the details of both eployees in the table.
    The ABAP RFC Function Modules have already been designed in such a way that a table is bein passed as Import (having EMPLOYEE_IDs) and another table is beig returned with the filled in details of the employees in the Export.
    THe issue is how to use the RFC to implement this table in the form.
    Thanks & Regards,

    Hi Shobhit,
    You could populate the columns by writing a script at the click event of the button.
    Is it a dynamic table..(asking this coz then the reference of the row will also be dynamic)
    if its a static table.
    on the click event, you can write the following script.
    Note...i am taking the table name as Table1
    var nTableLength = Table1.nodes.length;
    for (var nCount = 0; nCount < nTableLength; nCount ++) {
    if ((Table1.nodes.item(nCount).className == "subform") && (Table1.nodes.item.nCount).name !== "HeaderRow")) {
    oRow = Table1.nodes.item(nCount);
    if (oRow.EMPL_ID.rawValue !== null ){
    // populate the other value over here eg
    // oRow.EMPL_NAME.rawValue = 'Shobhit';
    let me know if theres any problem.

    ORA-06512: at line 7The problem is that your variable subject_obj is not in scope inside the dynamic SQL you are building. The SQL engine does not know your PL/SQL variable, so it tries to find a column named SUBJECT_OBJ in your SAM1 table.
    If you need to use dynamic SQL for this, then you must bind the variable. Something like this:
    EXECUTE IMMEDIATE 'insert into op_sample (select id,name,:bind_subject_obj from sam1) ' USING subject_obj;Alternatively you might figure out to use static SQL rather than dynamic SQL (if possible for your project.) In static SQL the PL/SQL engine binds the variables for you automatically.

  • HR Logical database PNP. OO to fill table dynamic table  from PNP  ?

    Hi all
    I want to get some stuff from the HR logical database into a dynamic table
    Here's a real simple example that writes info out to a normal list.
    (report is based on using Logical DB PNP)
    tables: pernr.
    INFOTYPES: 0001,                     "Organizational Assignment
               0002.                     "Personal Data
    SELECT-OPTIONS: language FOR p0002-sprsl.
    INITIALIZATION.
      pnptimed = 'D'.
    GET pernr.
      PROVIDE * FROM p0002 BETWEEN pn-begda AND pn-endda.
        CHECK language.
        WRITE: / p0002-pernr,
                 sy-vline,
                 p0001-ename,
                 sy-vline,
                 p0002-sprsl,
                 sy-vline,
                 p0002-gbdat.
      ENDPROVIDE.
    endform.
    Now what I want to do is replace the write stuff by appending the entries into a dynamic table which I will display as an ALV Grid.
    so I add my structure in the data declarations
    types:  begin of s_elements,
       pernr  type  p0002-pernr,
       ename  type p0001-ename,
       sprsl  type p0002-sprsl,
       gbdat   type p0002-gbdat.
      drop_down_handle  type int4.
    types: end of    s_elements.
    include zz_jimbo_incl.
    build the dynamic table
    create data dref type s_elements.
      assign dref->* to <fs>.
      i_routine = 'POPULATE_DYNAMIC_ITAB'.*
    i_names   = 'NAME_COLUMNS'.
      i_gridtitle = 'HR  TEST'.
    invoker = sy-repid.
    i_zebra = 'X '.
    i_edit = '  '.
    call function 'ZZ_CALL_SCREEN'
         exporting
              invoker     = invoker
              my_line     = <fs>
              i_gridtitle = i_gridtitle
              i_edit      = i_edit
              i_zebra     = i_zebra
              i_names     = i_names
              i_routine   = i_routine
         importing
              z_object    = z_object
              dy_table    = dy_table.
    Now to populate the dynamic Itab the routine below is entered.
    form populate_dynamic_itab changing dy_table.
      assign dy_table->* to <dyn_table>.
      create data dy_line like line of <dyn_table>.
      assign dy_line->* to <dyn_wa>.
    However I can't use GET / PROVIDE / ENDPROVIDE in a Form.
    Anyway round this ---seems HR has an aversion to OO.
    Cheers
    jimbo

    Hi,
    well, GET_PERNR is a so called event_statement. It has nothing to do with ABAP 00.
    Normally it will be like this:
    START-OF-SELECTION.
    GET_PERNR.
    PROVIDE ....
    END-OF-SELECTION.
    -> and here the CALL SCREEN NNNN for ALV-Display.
    Provide-statements you can use in forms of course, and as many times you want during GET and END-OF-SELECTION.
    But as I understood : you just want to save the write-statements?
    I always develop a DDIC-Structure, declarate the data objects in the programm, read the data via Provide into the infotypes, and then make a move-corresponding to my structure. and display it.
    Normally no problem.
    kind regards
    maik

  • Sum of Values from previous rows in a dynamic table

    Hello,
    I have a dynamic table has multiple rows (added dynamically via a button).  One column in the table is a Quantity column.  Another is a Total column.  We do not want to keep a running total, but only wish to display a total when the rest of the cells in that row are emty and the previous row(s) has/have values in the Quantity column.  The Total is the sum on the Quatnities up to a blank row.  Below is a sample.  How do I get teh value of the Quantities in the previous rows?
    Quantity
    Total
    5
    8
    12
    25
    7
    27
    34
    22
    22
    Another option might be to put the Total in the last row with data as opposed to the row below the data.
    Any ideas?
    Regards,
    Karl
