Dynamic wallpaper freezes on iPad Air?

Every few days the dynamic wallpaper (floating bubbles) on my iPad Air freezes - the bubbles stop floating and turn oval-shaped. I have to go into the wallpaper settings and pick a different dynamic wallpaper to get it working again. I've searched here and on Google but can't seem to find anyone else reporting this problem. Any suggestions please? Is this another iOS7 memory bug?

(A) Try reset iPad
Hold the Sleep/Wake and Home button down together until you see the Apple Logo.
Note: Data will not be affected.
(B) Close all apps in the multi-task window
1.Double-click the Home button.
2. Swipe the app's preview up to close it.
3. Preview will fly off the screen.

  • Why does my Adobe AIR app freezes on Ipad Air ?

I released this free game just in time for Easter weekend and then found out through a friend that it freezes on an iPad Air. It works great on iphone 4, 5, ipad mini, ipad 2, etc and I have retina disabled for ipads.
    Here's a link:
    https://itunes.apple.com/app/id854866033?mt=8
I published from Flash Pro CC with AIR 4.0.0.1628

I can suggest you firstly find somewhere identical iPad and test on it. Adobe Flash Runtime team pretty busy So reporting "bugs" that actually user failure - it's not good looking on nowdays So please be sure that your bug - it's a bug and not your mistake.
I strongly suggest to use Adobe Scout that can help to identify weak places in your sourcecode. 99% "Flash/Air bug" - it's developer bug and not runtime.
If you need to check with Adobe Air + Adobe Scout - you can contact me via skype chat therabbitwindfall and I can help you for free to determinate weak places. And only than you can understang what to change Sure I know some performance drops between devices. But 99 from 100 situations can be solved by fixing user code and not Runtime

  • 8.2 update now Safari freezing on iPad Air

Since the 8.2 update only one iPad Air has the problem of Safari freezing.  I updated iPad Mini X 2, iPhone 6, iPhone 6+, iPad Air X 2.  I don't understand why only one of the devices is having the problem and also do not know how to resolve this issue.  I would appreciate any input.

    Hey there Sharon,
    Welcome to Apple Support Communities.
It sounds like Safari stops responding intermittently on your iPad Air since updating it to the latest version of iOS. If you haven’t already, try restarting your device as shown in the article below.
Restart or reset your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
If the issue persists, you can also restore the iPad as shown here:

  • Messages app keeps freezing on iPad Air

When I turn iMessage to on in my settings, it works for about a half hour then the messages app freezes up totally. If I try to go to settings to toggle iMessage off, the settings app as soon as I tap the messages tab. If I then reset or restart my iPad as soon I tap on the messages app, it freezes or just crashes as soon as it comes up. Apon resetting it again the iPad allows me to toggle iMessage to off, fixing the freezing issues. I'm not sure how I can prevent this from happening as I would really like to use the app. Any help would be appreciated!

    Hi there OriolesMagic333,
If I understand correctly your Messages and Settings apps are becoming unresponsive when you have iMessage enabled, and you keep needing to restart and/or reset your iPad. I would quit both of the apps first:
iOS: Force an app to close
    Double-click the Home button.
Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.
Swipe the app up to close it.
When you have done that restart the device and test the issue again:
iOS: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
    Cheers,
    Sterling

  • Where is the Original iPad Air Wallpaper?

Did Everyone Notice That iPad Air Original Wallpaper At http://www.apple.com/ipad-air/
I Can't find the original wallpaper in the iPad Air
    HELP PLEASE ?

I don't believe that wallpaper is actually included in the iPad Air. It's not on mine that I can find, anyway. I believe that was used only for the photos so that the icons are more visible, though I could be mistaken.

iPad running slow? How to speed up a slow iPad

If You Think iOS 7 Feels Slow Here’s How to Speed It Up
    http://osxdaily.com/2013/09/23/ios-7-slow-speed-it-up/
You may have many apps open which can possibly cause the slowdown and possibly the loss of wifi. In iOS 4-6 double tap your Home button & at the bottom of the screen you will see the icons of all open apps. Close those you are not using by pressing on an icon until all icons wiggle - then tap the minus sign. For iOS 7 users, there’s an easy way to see which apps are open in order to close them. By double-tapping the home button on your iPhone or iPad, the new multitasking feature in iOS 7 shows full page previews of all your open apps. Simply scroll horizontally to see all your apps, and close the apps with a simple flick towards the top of the screen.

  • My iPad air keeps crashing and freezing when browsing the internet . Please help :(

My husband and I updated to the new OS. Now our iPad Air's keep crashing and freezing whilst browsing the internet.  We have done a reset and swiped away pages but nothing is helping. Its very frustrating Can anyone help? Thank you Jo

Please tell me that it has NEVER been jailbroke.  If it has not been jailbroke, here are some standard repair procedures:
First, confirm that this is what you did for a "reset."  Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo.  Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears.  You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore.  Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset.  It could take well over an hour!  Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync.  From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab.  Follow the on-screen directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup.  You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod.  Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod.  As before, say "yes."  Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time.  If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device.  Corrective action is simple -  choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore (or it doesn't help), go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here.  You WILL lose all of your data (game scores, etc,) but, for the most part, you can redownload apps and music without being charged again.  Also, since you have IOS-7, read this.

If nothing else works, you might try this one. It has worked for many others ...
Use iTunes to do a reset to factory default condition. Always be sure to do your backups before fiddling with your iPad. You might do both the iCloud and the iTunes backup, just to be sure!

Re: IPAD2 very slow after IOS 8 upgradein response to pacoKAS
SOLVED:  IOS 8 Issues on iPad 2:
I just returned home from a visit to the Genius Bar. Like you and many others, when I upgraded my iPad 2 to IOS 8, it became practically unusable. It was VERY slow, lagged whenever trying to to do anything. Lots of screen freezes and apps spontaneously crashing. I was convinced that the processor on the iPad 2 just couldn't handle the new IOS and I went in to see about restoring to IOS 7.
Thankfully, I was hooked up with a very sharp guy at the bar. The problem is not with the OS, it is with it being an *upgraded* OS. He used the analogy of when you had an older Windows computer and how over time (and over upgrades), they just tended to get slower and slower because of all of the garbage that was carried forward in the upgrades. At those times (and if you've ever had a Windows computer, you get this), the only thing that would speed it up would be to wipe the machine and do a fresh install of the current OS and then reload your apps, and the viola, everything would be fast again. Well, it turns out that IOS can suffer the same problems.
THE FIX:  FIRST, be sure you have a current iCloud backup of your device.  Connect your iPad to a computer that has a clean fresh copy of IOS 8 on iTunes (this is best done with a computer other than the one that you sync your device to because you DO NOT want to restore it from a back up just yet). Ideally, if you do this at an Apple store you'll be assured of the right version there and someone to answer any questions you might have along the way. You then hold the power and home button down to hard-reset the device and continue to hold them down until it reboots into recovery mode. You then follow the instructions on the computer to reinstall the OS on the device (which wipes everything from it and then reinstalls a clean copy of it). Once this is done (which only takes about 15 minutes), your device will reboot and ask you to set it up. Answer the questions about language, location, etc. and continue until it asks you to log into your iTunes account. Once you do that, it will ask if you want to either 1) Set it up as a new device, 2) Restore from iCloud, or 3) Restore from iTunes. Choose (2), restore from iCloud. This will ensure that it brings down "clean" copies of all of your apps and preferences rather than the potentially corrupted ones that might reside in your iTunes backup. That's it! It will take a few hours depending on how much data and apps you have, but I am happy to report that my iPad 2 is now running IOS 8 and it's running as fast as it ever did when it was brand new!
To sum it up, this process 1) Wipes your device and the garbage causing your problems, 2) Loads a clean and bug-free version of IOS 8 to your device, and 3) restores your apps and data so that it looks just like it did before the wipe, with the exception that it works now!  :-)
Note also that by following this process you don't have to go through the painful and laborious process of reloading all of your apps, data and/or settings. iCloud takes care of all of that for you.

  • What is the pixel or inches dimension to create a perfect sized wallpaper in Photoshop for the iPad air?

I figured out by trying different sizes to make about a perfect sized wallpaper for the iPhone 5, but can't seem to make one for the iPad air. The dementions I used for the iPhone 5 was  1536x 894 pixels or (12.417 inches Wide x 21.333 inches Height) which fits the iphones wallpaper about perfect. Note this is with having reduce motion ON in the settings>accessibility tab. I used photoshop to create these wallpapers. Please let me know if you have figured this out        Thanks!

I reduced the size of my photo small enough so when you go to install it you need to put two fingers on it to stretch it out to fit. Far from an exact science but doable.

  • IPad air wallpaper pixel size and resolution

I've found dozens and dozens of web hits that give the physical pixel dimenisons for iPad Air wallpapers, but not a single one that mentions what resolution to use.  My old iPad used the very odd 132 dpi.  Is that still the case?

I have a 64GB iPad Air WiFi+Cellular (Verizon), and I don't see the issues you are describing.  First I would suggest that you update your iPad to the newest iOS update.  If that doesn't help, then you may want to schedule an appointment at an Apple Genius Bar.  If you go this route, I suggest that you let the iPad sleep for long enough for the problem to arise before you go to your appointment.

    Hi Skydiver119
Thank you so much for taking the time to reply to my problem.
Yes the purchases were made though my apple id.
I have looked at a few other questions on this topic and I have read that the app data is stored in the backup file but the apps themselves need to be synced back onto the ipad. Someome has mentioned right clicking on sync my ipad but I don't know where to find that to right click on!! Lol.
Again, I really appreciate your time and if by any chance you know where I can 'right click' I would really appreciate you letting me know as I can't get my ipad to sync with my pc at all, although it is being picked up in itunes and it has backed up to itunes okay. GGrrr. Maybe I have something wrong in the settings which is not making them compatible?
