Dynamically calling an XML

Question

i have various loaded xmls in an array. i need to pass one of the xmls through to a class based on which button is clicked. I am having trouble figuring out how to do this dynamically.
here is the array:
xmlArray:Array = [xml54, xml49, xml53, xml52, xml43];
here is the class that needs the xml passed through:
var custClass:CustClass = new CustClass(); //how do i putl the xml within the parenthesis without hardcoding it?
how do you suggest i could go about this?

Have your class as something like:
package {
    public class CustClass extends Object { // or extends whatever
        private var _xml:XML;
        public function CustClass(xml:XML){
            _xml = xml; // assign the xml passed in to a private variable
Then you'd do:
var custClass:CustClass = new CustClass(xmlArray[0]); // create a class instance with a specific xml
