i have a problem with the compiler , it does not recognize symmetry classes:
for exemple if i open the class PayrollCalculatePayStatementBenefits and i type an empty space and save the compiler shows a syntax error on the line 12
Symmetry.taxEngine.BenefitInfo benefitInfo401_403;

I've Checked the config file and the specified handler is correctly set. I read in a forum that the problem may be caused by the fact that the database of the report server is set as "Native" instead of "Sharepoint Integrated". Is it
possible? just in case, there's the possibility to display a ssrs report in EP in "native mode"?

I am trying to configure AX 2012 (R3) to populate the Payment Reference field automatically when processing payments through a payment journal. I have looked for a number sequence in the AR/AP parameters but so far with no luck.

How to get rid of white space when creating a PDF file in dynamics ax 2012

Hello,
In Dynamcis AX 2012 we are creating an invoice that is first printed to the screen, but when we convert the invoice to a PDF, white space occurs that our customer cannot have.
We opened a ticket with Microsoft with the following scope layout:
As discussed, I am providing you a copy of our scope agreement for your issue.
Issue Definition: When rendering an SSRS report to screen, report displays as expected. However, when the same report is sent to PDF or printer output, a large white space appears between the header and body of the report.
We've examined every possible setting in the report design properties using Visual Studio, and nothing has been successful in correcting this behavior. Our client has indicated the proper rendering of certain reports is extremely critical to their business relationships with their clients. They've told us that this problem must be fixed or they cannot go live.
Scope Agreement: Provide information on the issue of white space showing between the header and body of the report. May have to rescope issue depending on investigation.
We will now begin working together to resolve your issue. If you do not agree with the scope defined above, or would like to amend it, please let me know as soon as possible. If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact me.
So after we worked with MS for a bit and gave them more information, the final conclusion came back from them as follows:
Message: Hello,
When you examine the report, is the report hiding sections during the print out based on some data condition? IF so, this is going to be returned as By Design. Our current reporting framework will reserve space for the controls even if they are not visible when the report is printed to file (xps, pdf, may even do it if exported to Excel). If this is the case, we don't have anything we can do about it. Development is aware of this issue/limitation, but at this point, we have no workaround for it.
So the question is: Have you ever ran across this issue and does Adobe have a potential solution as Micrsoft does not. Or do you have a potential work around.

If you want this to bleed, then you will have to print on oversize paper and trim or find a printer that will print borderless.

LSASS.exe utilizing 3 GB of RAM on Windows 2008 R2 SP1 - MS Dynamics AX 2012 application server (it's not a DC)

Does anyone know why would lsass.exe be using 3 GB of RAM on an application server with 8 GB of RAM in total running on Windows 2008 R2 SP1? Is this something I should log with Microsoft support?

Hi we experienced the same issue. but im not able to reproduce it on the second server.
We got two member servers both in the same configuration Windows 2008R2 SP1 STD hosting Axapta AOS. the first server is experiencing the Lssas memory leak (we got a little bit more memory then you but it consumes 5,6GB form 6GB
total RAM) the second one not. both servers are VM hosted on hyper-v 2012 cluster. the only difference betwean them is instaled Avast Antivirus, but we have a testing environment (single VM server with identical deployment with Avast also installed) and
it does not seems that the Avast is the cause.
can anybody please point us how to troubleshoot lsass memory leaks on member servers not DCs, becouse the event logs does not show anything interesting about the couse, but are full of errors about what i see as consequences of low memory condition.

Dynamics AX 2012 User Accounts

I am performing maintenance on a User Account Table, and have One User account that will not allow me to delete.
Enabled or Disabled, then selecting Delete is returning the following error :

How can increase the rounding of decimal in the product weights to take 4 decimals , I tried from Organization Administration - Units but did,t work.

Edit Design for Dynamics AX 2012 in SharePoint 2013

Dears,
Recently we are using Dynamic AX by Share Point2013, by default the web interface shown some deafult icons with site actions, home, "I like it" and "Tags and notes",
I would like to make those icons disable and user can't see it then I want to add our company's logo instead of those icons, kindly I need best way to do this action.

Not sure if you have SharePoint in same farm or not, if you do and like to have Social feature for SharePoint but not for dynamics then below link will help you to achieve this.
Disable social
features but allow My Site Profiles
If you dont have SharePoint or dont need social activity at all, then go with deactivation of "SocialRibbonControl" from Farm level feature which will turn off social from your entire farm.

when i used standard charges code i.e transportation against vendor
,so it showig me that charges value on purchinvoice report,but when i used other than transportation which we are setled for third party vendor,so in the same report purchinvoice report it show charges 0,

Can you provide more detail about how you are getting the data? Are you viewing it in dynamics directly, pulling it into Excel via Power Query, or something else?

But when my functional consultant was able to process same PO, by using the MIRO transaction and he was able reversal the same Invoice..
The Functional Consultant gave me the amount and input details.. (He was able to using the standard transaction MIRO) Which i am hardcoding through the segments which are mandatory.
When i try to do it through the IDOC process, where i am currently hardcording few values in the segments in we19 transaction and execute the same.
Please let me know if there is any other process.

Dear Community,
some time ago i heard about the Enterprise Portal, which requires a SharePoint 2013 and a Dynamics AX R2 2012 Server.
My company has a fully licensed SharePoint 2013 Enterprise Server and enough CALs. We also have a Dynamics AX 2009 Server running.
Now to my question: What licenses are needed to get a Enterprise Portal with Dynamics AX 2012?

According to your description, my understanding is that you want to know which licenses needed for the Enterprise Portal from Dynamics AX 2012 R2.
There are 4 types of user CALs in Dynamics AX 2012 R2 - Enterprise, Functional, Task, and Self Serve. The number of CALs needed is related to who these users are and what they do.

Sql Server 2012 Cluster IP Responses to MS Dynamics APP server broadcasts

Hi All,
We are facing issues in our brand new MS Dynamics AX 2012 R3 installation with clustered MS SQL 2012.
The DB server responses to the APP servers is like broadcasting to every system connected to the subnet. In our case that subnet is 192.168.2.0/24. But the packets sent from the AOS / APP server is not refelecting on other machines. We haven't made any changes
to the routing / switching config after the installation.

According to my knowledge, you can choose the order (each server's IP address-> SQL Server instance IP-> Failover cluster instance IP) to change these IP addresses.
And before the process, please take SQL Server Cluster Instance Offline in Failover Cluster Manager . For more details, please review the following articles.

Windows Server 2012 Hyper-V network latencies

Hi All,
I have an issue with our Windows Server 2012 Hyper-V hosts that I can't seem to figure out. Situation:
2 x Dell PowerEdge R815 servers with AMD opteron 6376 16 core CPU's and 128 GB RAM running Windows Server 2012 with Hyper-V.
2 virtual machines running on the same physical host and connected to the same virtual switch show high TCP connection latencies. One virtual machines runs a SQL Server 2012 database instance and a Dynamics AX 2012 R2 instance. The other machine a
SharePoint 2013 instance and the AX client. We see latencies of 20ms and higher on most of the TCP connections that are made from the sharepoint machine to the sql server machine.
At first I thought it might have something to do with the physical NIC's. It turned out that VMQ wasn't correctly supported by the firmware of the Broadcom BCM5709c cards. By default this setting is enabled. Turning off the VMQ setting somewhat improved
the situation but the latencies are still at 8ms and higher.
What I don't understand is what influence enabling/disabling VMQ should have on network performance. As I understand it now virtual machines connected to the same virtual switch bypass the physical altogether. Another point is that VMQ should actually improve
performance, not decrease it.
Another question I have is about the various tcp offloading settings on the physical NIC's. After installing the new firmware and drivers from Dell most of these settings are set to disabled. The documents I have been able to find talk about Windows Server
2008, any thought how these settings relate to Windows Server 2012 and whether they should be enabled?

AX 2012 management pack not showing any AX information

Symptom description: Ax
2012 management pack installed, detects machine and places them in the correct group but no AX specific monitoring happens. IE Under 'Application Object Servers\Computers' I can see my AOS servers, but under 'Application Object Servers\Instances' there
is nothing. It's the same for Enterprise Portals and there is nothing under 'Frameworks', 'databases' or 'Environment Health'. Under the SQL MP I can see all the databases that AX is using.

Environment: System Center
2007 R2 CU5 running on Win 2K8 R2, all latest patches applied. All management packs at latest versions. All dependancies for the AX 2012 MP are loaded.
3.
The exact error message: No
error message as such, just missing information :
The state warning are just about disk fragmentation so can be ignored
4.
Any recent relevant configuration change(s): This
has never worked for either of our AX 2012 environments
5.
Tech diagnosis history: I
have followed the Guide for deploying the AX 2102 management pack. I've been assured by our AX team that by discovery user has the nessesary rights to the DB and AX, I've also tried using an AX\SQL admin account for the disovery with no joy.

Not sure what log files to look at?
