Dynex Mini Memory Card

Hi,
I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this, but I just bought a Dynex Mini Memory Card reader from Best Buy and and the package says that it will work on Mac OS 10.1 or higher. When I plug it in it shows up on my desktop and I can export pictures to it from iphoto, but when I put the card back into my camera it says there are no images, the pictures are on the card but the camera doesn't show them. The reader does come with a software disk which is way too small for my disk drive and the online version of the software won't install on my computer. Any thoughts? Thanks.

Yeah. It would have to be in exactly the same format with all the info files saved by the camera. I actually archive my photos with complete copies of the DCIM directory and all subdirectories and files. I can copy back each archive to an empty card and the camera will be able to access all photos if I insert the card.

N97 Mini Memory Card Problem

I've been having a problem with my N97 Mini since installing a SanDisk 16Gb Memory Card.
When switching on the phone it quite often reboots. It will then work fine.
I also get 'memory full' or 'security module' errors. I can fix the issue by rebooting or ejecting the memory card in the file manager (even though I don't need to physically remove the memory card).
If I remove the memory card it works fine and I can't reproduce the errors.
I tried reformatting the card but it hasn't helped; even though it's blank.
Could it be a problem with the phone hardware, the memory card or the firmware (I'm running v11 on vf uk)?

So I've now switched to a Nokia memory card.
It came in official Nokia packaging, however there's no markings on the memory card or included adaptor that it's made by (or for) Nokia. Having looked online I can see there are other examples of this.
I did wonder if it was genuine!
However it works much much better with my phone.
The Security Module Error has completely gone, it very occasionally does the random reboot on startup, and gives a 'memory full' error, but I think this may be due to an issue with Ovi Maps and the amount of music I have on there.
I will try (another) full reset just to make sure but otherwise the phone's now working well.

I just bought a Dynex mini sd card reader/writer. When I plug it into my MacBook pro I cant see any files saved. Any suggestions on which application i should open it in?

Speak to Dynex. Does the SD card mount on the desktop? From where did you write files to it?

I imported some pictures from my cameras memory card to iPhoto and now i want to transfer them back to memory card

I just got my iMac and I just wanted to copy some pictures from my camera's memory card to my computer. turns out 'importing pictures' meant totaly removing the pictures from my memory card. How can I transfer the pictures back to my memory card?

I used Dynex Compact Memory Card Reader and put my memory card in it to connect to the usb plug

FYI and future reference, importing pictures does not have to mean removing them from the memory card or camera.
When you plug in a memory card and open iPhoto to import your pictures, there will be a dialog box that opens and asks if you'd like to "Keep" the imported photos on the card, or delete them.
Apparently you selected the option to delete them.
In any case, in order to move them back to the card, you *should* be able to plug the card into your Dynex reader, after which the card should mount and display on the desktop. Then, open iPhoto and simply drag the photos from there and into the memory card.
You may need to recreate the file and folder structure on the card so the camera can find the files when you wish to view them.

1: If you have Opera Mobile installed, Clear cache.
2. If you have too many "Saved pages" in Opera Mobile, delete those.
3. If you are using Opera Mini, change its "Saved Pages Location" to somewhere on memory card.
4. If using Ovi Music, Clear cache.
If you have installed any other application which uses phone memory to store Temporary files change its location to memory card, if it allows you...
Also Go to Settings>application manager>installed apps>do you see a mini memory card icon on the right side of each application you installed?
If you don't see that icon that means they are installed on phone memory, uninstall them and reinstall on memory card. (please don't mind if you already know these thing, i am just trying to explain to make it clear if you don't know).
And the ultimate way to free up Maximum phone memory is to do a reset, which i'd recommend to do ONLY IF YOU WANT THE PHONE MEMORY BACK ON EVERY COST. Just ask if you don't know how to do that.

Hello friends, i just wanna know if there is any way to recover data from my mini SD memory card.Much of my valuable data is in it and i don't wanna lose it for anything. I just want to make sure if there's any any way!

There's plenty of software available for this task but you'll need computer to run the software.
I can't recommend a specific package but you will be able to find lots of help and recommendations by searching google.

Music Files and Memory Card On N97 mini

I,ve own my N97 mini for about a month now, been serving me well except for this problem...
I created a folder on the E:/ drive for storing musics I transfered via PC Siute but I noticed that I can't seem to find the onces I trasfered via Bluetooth. When I open the music player and refresh, it seems some of the musics are not added to it. When I open the folder I created for musics I see the songs there but when I go back to the music player it ain't there.
What can be done?
I added an 8G memory card to my phone and it's been misbehaving. Problems ranging from slow boot up and opening of applications to this error NOT ENOUGH MEMORY PLEASE DELETE SOME DATA whenever I try to open the music player. I understand that N97 mini can take upto 16G memory card but how come 8G gives it problems?

Why on EARTH are you transferring music by Bluetooth ??? Simply connect the phone to your computer by usb cable in Mass Media mode. The phone will show in 'My Computer' as an external hard drive E. Open it and your music folder will be there. Then drag and drop any music you want FROM your computer TO the 'Music' folder on your phone, safely disconnect the phone from computer, go to music player and refresh music, that's all there is to it !!

I cannot find how to transfer music with Ovi Player just inside the Memory Card "F" of the N97 mini and NOT inside the Mass Memory. How can I set the Ovi Player to do that?

My Mac Mini will charge - but not sync with - USB-connected devices (ipod, camera, memory card reader). I have tried unplugging the devices, restarting the computer, selectively unplugging and plugging in the devices, closing and opening the relevant applications (iTunes, iPhoto, etc). I have tried using different USB cables.
It's like all of a sudden the synching service stopped functioning or recognizing these devices for some reason. The other ports work just fine (monitor).
The only USB-connected external device that appears to be unaffected is the USB SuperDrive and it works on all the USB ports into which I plug it.
How do I fix this?

Open Console in Applications>Utilities & see if there are any clues or repeating messages when this happens or doesn't happen.

HT3805 Dynex mini card reader

I have a Dynex mini card reader that I use to put my photos on Aperture. Until yesterday, after inserting my photo card, it opens Aperture on my Mac and displays ALL the photos on that card. Now it won't display ANY photos from ANY card. I can view the photos on my camera and on my printer, so I know the photos are still there. Is there something wrong with my Aperture? Did I accidentally click on something to make all the photos disappear? I'm really stuck, please help. Thanks VL

Do you see the photos in Image Capture or iPhoto, when you plug your card reader into an USB port? Have you tried to use different USB prts?

I have Mac mini Mid 2010. It will no longer open photo memory card in SD reader. It also won't recognize a card reader device when connected to USB. It never had this problem before. Any thoughts?

Ipod mini stuck as an xbox memory card!

i recently tried plugging my ipod into my xbox1 with an adapter cable (stupid i know) and now i can reinstall the firmware, so basically, it only works as an xbox memory card! please help if anyone can

You might want to look at the following:
You are going to want to reset it:
Knowledge Base Document #61705 on How to Reset iPod
" Toggle the Hold switch on and off. (Slide it to Hold, then turn it off again.)
Press and hold the Menu and Select buttons until the Apple logo appears, about 6 to 10 seconds. You may need to repeat this step."
You might also want to try "The Five Rs".

Satellite Pro P100-327: memory card reader does not read Memory Stick Duo

I just got a P100-327

which, according to that page, is supposed to have "1 x 5-in-1 Bridge Media slot (supports SD Card, Memory Stick, Memory Stick Pro, MultiMedia Card, xD-Picture Card)" but the pdf user manual that came with it says that it does not support Memory Stick Duo, Memory Stick Pro Duo or mini-SD.
However, I have a Memory Stick Pro, and a Memory Stick Pro Duo in a Memory Stick Pro adapter and the reader can't seem to read either of them (they should both count as Memory Stick Pro which should be readable right?)
Should I be able to read my Memory Stick Pro cards? Why can't I since it says I should be able to? Do I need to install something first?

In my knowledge and according to the manual the Bridge Media slot supports Media of type
- SD Memory Card
- MultiMediaCard xD-Picture Card
- Memory Stick
- Memory Stick Pro
Please note that the Memory Stick and Memory Stick Pro are not the same as Memory stick Duo and Memory Stick Pro Duo.
Dont mix it.

Files are not getting stored in memory card

mine is lumia 620,i have chosen the mem.card option to save photos and music files.But the files i download are stored in phone memory ,not in memory card although the files are shown in mem.card it shows error while i try to play it in computer.

hi mate, is your memory card a Class 10 memory card or corrupt? you only need Class 2 or Class 4 memory cards. It would also pay to scan the memory card thru Windows Explorer to see if there are any file system errors, else you can try formatting the memory card on PC and then formatting it on the phone itself.
as precaution, try performing a soft reset on your 620, and also ensure that you are up to date with the latest firmware and Nokia system app updates from the Store.

Files not showing on Memory card N73

Nokia N73, Memory card is Mini SD
my phone said 'memory full delete some data' ever since I can no longer see 95% of my files on the memory card. I have hooked the phone upto a laptop and also used a memory card reader but still my memory card is now only showing a handfull of files.
The thing is that in properties it stil shows 1.9GB used of 2.0GB but only displaying about 50 MB of files.
I had about 500 files of which it shows about 15.
Can you help?

your memory card must have some problems. try to format or insert any other memory card and check it, If the problem still there try to format your phone memory by dialing *#7370#.
