Hello,
today i buy one new Nokia E72 from Vodafone Romania and i have this problmes
When i try to search in my contact list one no my phone say "building cache search will be available in a moment"
Why?
Nokia what is doing, cannot check phone when it start to sell?
I speak with my lawyer and i thing i suit Nokia for this. I pay money for one phone to work not to start to look over the internet
after this problems and to resolve this.

I have had my e72 for about a week now and "Building cache. Search will be available in a moment." and tried deleting all contacts as well as using isync to reset the contacts and cal. NOTHING I have tried resolved the error, every time I try to search contacts I get the "Building cache. Search will be available in a moment." message. I can scroll through contacts using the optimouse but searching contacts from within contacts throws the message.
Interestingly, when contacts is closed and I use the phone's search function (the one appearing in active standby) it will search contacts just fine.
There must be something within Contacts search that is messed up, if it was corruption the overall phone search probably wouldn't work.
Also, I'm wondering if it may be an isync issue, the isync add-in from Nokia for the mac may be the issue, perhaps it's the culprit.
I tried tweeting @nokiamessaging but they did not reply, I don't know if they are on top of the problem or may have reported it to Nokia.
It's frustrating, very frustrating. My old e61 never had issues like this. The e72 is giving me a headache, I've spent now over 30 hours on this contacts problem. Arggh.
am e72 as of yesterday, 2 dec 2009. was e61. previously 6310i, which is an amazingly well designed and tough phone with awesome battery life. i even had a banana slider, but that was way pre-matrix.

E52 Contacts search - Building cache

I've recently upgraded my E52 to the latest firmware 031.012 and now the Contacts search function no longer works, every time I press a key to search the address book I get the message "Building cache. Search will be available in a moment", which it never is!
Any ideas how to resolve this?

Can't see contacts on phone memory,but when somebody from contact list call me,his name shows on the screen.. Contact search don't work.When i look Phone memory it shows contacts memory 245kb,but where are they???? How can i save them from loosing..Synchronizing them with PC don't work too..Before few days i just synchronize emails with phone,maybe that is a bug in Nokia E52???
i save new contact in phone memory, it seams ok, but when I try to find them there's nothing..

Bridge crashes when building cache

I am trying to index a folder with many images in it. I start Bridge CS4, point it at the folder, and build the cache (with subfolders, with 100% previews), and after a few hours I return to my computer to find that Bridge has crashed. Console messages are below.
Questions:
1) Is there any way to pinpoint which file Bridge was working on when it crashed?
2) Is there any way to build a cache for my disk other than selecting every folder and building a cache separately for that folder? (hours of mindless work)
3) Anyone else seeing this.
A note for Adobe, just in case someone is reading this: other programs, like FoxTrot, note which file caused the crash, and skip that file on the next build, which allows you to complete building the cache after multiple invocations of the process--which is much better than Bridge's behavior!
Console log says the following: What I think it means is that Bridge has a programming error and is using a freed object--which is always a good way to get a segmentation fault!

Not many here are capable of reading crash reports, neither can I.
It still isn't a good idea to use Bridge for caching large amount of files
in a variety of subfolders to use it for Digital Asset Management. Bridge is
a very fine application for ingestion files, sorting, rating renaming,
adding metadata and developing using ACR.
But with the current use of cache management I'm afraid it is not reliable
for use as DAM. For this you should look at typical DAM apps like Canto
Cumulus, Media Expression or Extensis Portfolio.
I have tried several times to cache large amounts but after many
disappointments I stopped using it for this purpose, still I advocate the
use of Bridge for the before mentioned purposes!
The easiest way to use the build cache for subfolders is to select the main
folder containing all the subfolders in Bridge and then use the menu:
tools-cache-build cache.
Then again, it would not be my choice to use the generate 100% previews.
This will take a lot of disk space (just look for the cache folder for
Bridge (user lib-caches-Adobe-BridgeCS4-cache) point to this last cache
folder and use info to calculate the total size of this folder, with this
settings it can grow to very huge proportions.
When Bridge is caching and having a crash it might have also an other reason
then a wrong file (remember that with your settings it needs a lot of disk
space and takes a great deal of your processor activity.
But the most easy (but not fast) way to look for a corrupted file is to
divide the problem folder in half and every time you have a problem again
divide this one in half until you reach the problem file.
Questions:

Adobe Flash player, when will be available for downloading, really frustrated

Adobe flash player, when will be available for mac, iPhone, iPad. I am really frustrated. My friends are posting each other comic moments with kids or holiday events and I am always left out because I have iPhone. Also, I am unable to watch live tv on iPad when my husband watching football as unable to view without flash player.
It seams like apple is a bit behind with some part of technology, when will be available for download

It has never not been available for Mac.
It will very likely never be available for iphone/ipad/ipod.
Do a forum search. This is dicsussed over and over and over and over and over and over and over again on these forums.
Adobe is working on a versin that will not require any download at all to watch flash content.

Bug - Application Search will not always search all applications

Hello,
I noticed that when you first log into a workspace and go to the Application Builder, the search utility at the top will work across all applications. However, if you select an application it seems to "lock" that application in place, even if you return back to the Application Builder level and search from there. You have to log out and back in to search all applications in the workspace.

I checked the Spotlight Preferences and there is no choice for System Folders, or System Files, only for System Preferences.
When I do a Command F to open the search box, I can add criteria to include a specific word in the current search, which would include System Files, at which point the smallimage.plist file mentioned above does indeed appear in the found items.
However, when I close the current search box, and perform a new search, the System Files criteria is no longer a defaulted one. I can pick it any time, but I would always like my Mac to automatically look for all files that have "smallimage" in the file name.
Does anyone know how I can achieve that?

Scene Builder 2.0 Early Access Available

Early access snapshots of the Scene Builder 2.0 are now available on Oracle Technology Network.
Windows and Linux bundles are provided, with Mac bundle to follow in a few days.
SB 2.0 will bring support for JavaFX 8, new features as well as usability improvements from the SB 1.1 release.
It also provides an API -- SB Kit -- allowing tool vendors to integrate any of the SB panels into a larger application UI.
This work entails a substantial refactoring of the code base.
So, while certain new features are already in preview, several of the SB 1.1 features are still work in progress.

A new early access build (2.0-b06) has just been pushed which now includes a bundle for MacOSX.
One of the first feedback we have received was about the need for editing an existing layout based on the JavaFX platform Caspian theme rather that the new Modena theme, which is used by default. This capability is now available, using the "Preview > JavaFX Theme" menu, that allows to switch between Modena and Caspian themes.

Can we collect email addresses and build a search function?

We want to build an app using InDesign, DPS and Edge Animate (plus some custom html5 and javascript if necessary/possible).
We'd like to have a form somewhere in the app where users can enter their email addresses if they want to receive email from us. Is this possible with these tools and some html5 and javascript brought in to InDesign?
Can we build a search function within the app that searches all the text?
I understand that by using a Folio Overlay, the app can bring in a web page. So, could we, for example, create a web page that shows latest stock prices, and then bring that into the Folio Overlay, so that the user always sees those latest prices? What happens if the user's iPad is not connected to the internet? Can we set a default image for the overlay? Also, will the app remember the page it downloaded last time if it can't connect at a later date?

Finding out when tv shows will be available on BT ...

Hi, My Dad only got BT Vision a month ago and has got a lot of use out of it, but is there any way of finding out when shows will be available on BT Vision?
The show I'm looking for just now is the Event that was on Channel 4 on Friday. Now it's on 4od on their website but he wants to watch it on the tv(which is one of the reasons he got it). We do have replay so the service is there.
Tried searching in this forum but nothing seemed to come up.
Can anyone help?

I can't imagine it being available On Demand through the TV Pack for some time yet, as Channel 4 will hold exclusive rights to it. I would have thought it would have been on Replay though. However, not all programmes that are on iPlayer, 4OD etc appear on Replay.
A note of optimism though, sometimes some programmes do eventually appear on Replay after they have repeated on the host channel, for example Monday night NFL games on ESPN are always repeated within the next two days. They appear on Replay after these repeats.
I don't see it on the link Keith gave, but it is repeated on Channel 4 tomorrow night. I've set it to record incase it doesn't appear on Replay, I suggest your Dad does the same (it's a double episode by the way)

It is great, Just what I am looking for ........ but I can't get it to work properly (work at all)
I am pretty good at Dreamweaver I can setup the rest of my site ok I can create databases insert and display data no problem
I can follow your tutorial steps 1,2 and 3 ok but I get lost in part 4 "building results page" It is all a bit over my head but I have been trying
I am having trouble creating the recordset, I can create simple recordsets no problem but I have never had to cut and paste anything so......

Either use the Apple ID you used when you originally purchased the applications or you will have to purchase them using your Apple ID. If you did not have the other Apple ID, then you have the applications illegally or they were improperly included with a computer you purchased from someone else.

It started after the major update to iOS 7.
I can't believe that this is so hard to do. It's just not letting me. I can add a bookmark to the home screen just fine, just not in a bookmarks folder anywhere I try.
I've used Apple products since 2001 and have always loved how intuitive they are. But the Safari browser since iOS 7 has been the worst I've experienced. At least right in the beginning after that update.
I'd really appreciate any help that doesn't just tell me how it's suppose to work...I know that.

Contact App Store support. There's a link on the right hand side of the App Store Window. They're the only ones who can sort out account issues.
