E-72 upgrade to firmware 71.004 causes no detectio...

After I upgraded my E-72 to the latest firmware 71.004, my phone is refusing to support any headphones via the top jack connector. Bluetooth headset works fine, but not any other headphones, and I've tried 3. Anytime I plugin one, message is displayed that "Enhancement Not Supported". And I've used all these 3 headphones at different times before the update. Any idea or suggestions anyone?

I saw the "Enhancement not supported" error recently when I tried replacing my failing Nokia headset with a designed-for-iPhone Skullcandy headset from a local store. It looked exactly the same, but my phone somehow knew better. I assume the phone does an electrical (resistance?) check on what you plug in, and compares the number to an internal database. IF that's true, and you're sure at least one of those three headsets is working normally and Nokia-compatible, your database is either missing or corrupt. The only want to fix the problem would be to back up your data and either hard reset the phone (*#7370, default password 12345) or more likely, reinstall the complete firmware using Ovi Suite or NSW. I updated the Firmware yesterday, what I did was the following.
Downloaded the latest (2.50) firmware from the download page, and putted all the files (DVFLASH.EXE and 250D.BIN) on a floppy.
Went to Bootdisk.com and downloaded the win98SE OEM bootdisk (as suggested by others here) and ran the exe by using a second floppy.
Rebooted my pc with the newly created bootdisk in the floppy drive.
After a while you'll see the prompt.
Replace the bootdisk with the disk where DVFLASH.EXE and 250D.BIN is on and make sure the promt says A:\ (assuming this is your floppy drive).
Then type DVFLASH 250D.BIN
(also assuming the version is 250D.bin, which it is now atm).

Cannot upgrade the firmware.

I am using a BEFW11S4 router Version 4. When I checked the site and after a full day of messing around I found that the problem I was having was covered in the latest update. I downloaded the bin file and tried the upgrade process from the router management. It failed. leaving the router still working but still with my original problem. Went to user groups and read what i could find. I turned off virus program, firewall and connected directly to internet to download bin file. (did this 4 times) tried again. failed. still did not upgrade the firmware and read more and downloaded the utility It could not access the router - Login failed. tried to login to router and logged in fine. spent another 4 hours trying to find any other suggestions either on the linksys site and in the forums and could not find anything. Keep in mind I have been using cisco products for about 20 years now and I am fully qualified Network technician. Please don't annoy me with any more simplistic suggestions I need a workable solution since I have about two or three hundred of these types of units out there. My interim solution was to go to staples and pick up a $49 Belkin router that works just fine. The solution suggested by the linksys person on the phone was to pay $29 to maybe resolve the issue. can anyone see the economics in that?
P.S. went to the lela download link in the message at the top of this forum. It says to download lela click here. Did so and got a really nice demo. there was no download. so if anyone knows where to download that it might be worth a try.

Try upgrading the firmware of router ... reset it & reconfigure it ... if it works ... that will be fine if not ... then possibly the router is gone bad ...

Upgraded to firmware 2.0+ from 1.1.5 and now my 32Gb touch won't reboot

I tried to upgrade to firmware 2.0+. Everything looks ok while installing the firmware. The process goes smoothly. My problem shows up when the firmware is finished installing and my iPod has to do a final reboot. The screen just goes dark and doesn't come back. I've tried the process a bunch of times and it's the same result. The only way to get it back is to return to firmware 1.1.4/1.1.5. I've seen other people have the same problems. Does anybody have any similar experiences and possible fixes? Thanks.
P.S. I don't get any weird error messages. The process goes smoothly except the iPod never reboots.

Go to website linksysbycisco.com/downloads.........insert model no of your router in serach tab......select proper version of your router........download the firmware file......save that file on desktop
Follow these steps to upgrade the firmware on the device : -
Open an Internet Explorer browser page on a computer hard wired to the router...
In the address bar type - "Default Gateway of Your Router"...Leave the Username blank & in Password use admin in lower case...
Click on the 'Administration' tab- Then click on the 'Firmware Upgrade' sub tab- Here click on 'Browse' and browse the .bin firmware file and click on "Upgrade"...
Wait for few seconds until it shows that "Upgrade is successful" After the firmware upgrade, click on "Reboot" and you will be returned back to the same page OR it will say "Page cannot be displayed".
Now reset your router :

Itunes won't detect ipod touch after upgrade to firmware 1.1.4

I am in desperate need of help. My 16GB Ipod is no longer being detected by iTunes.
I decided to upgrade the firmware to 1.1.4. through iTunes. The update wasn't interrupted and i can see no issues during the procedure. when the update was completed, my iPod had no content in it and it wasn't showing up in iTunes.
Here's what i've tried so far to correct this:
- Uninstalled iTunes and all other apple related software and then re-installed
- tried different USB ports on my laptop
- Reset all setting within the ipod
- Run the iTunes diagnostic. It error's out during the sync test.
I've tried to find any other similar example on other sites but haven't been successful.

Try a rest: Simultaneously hold down the Home and On buttons until the iPad shuts down. Ignore the off slider if it appears. Once shut down is complete, turn the iPad back on using the On button. In some cases it also helps to double click the Home button and close all apps from the tray before doing the reset.

I have noticed that my firmware on my Zen MicroPhoto is not the latest, so I donwloaded the latest one and it, when I run it it does not detect the player? It comes up with the "Please connect your player message".

I am having the same problem with my microphoto. I contacted customer support because my player freezes up when I try to use the FM radio. They told me to upgrade some firmware to see if that helped. I downloaded the firmware to my computer. When trying to do the upgrade.. I get the message "your player is not connected...please connect your player". I am using WMP 0 and otherwise have no problem syncing audio tracks. In fact one time after getting the message... You mentioned in your post that you upgraded the latest firmware. So after upgrading the firmware did you reset the router? It is recommended to reset the router after firmware upgrade. Steps to reset the router:
Push the reset button on router for 30 seconds, turn off the router wait for 30 seconds and then power it on. After this process reconfigure the router. Power light should blink when you perform the reset process.
After the process reconfigure the router as per the ISP setup.. Then try to do the following steps:
A] With the help of Cisco Connect Software (if at all you have installed the router with the help of this software)
          1] Open the software and go to the option which says "Router Settings"
          2] Then click on the option which says "Advanced Settings" which will take you to the router's configuration page.
         3] Lower the MTU (Maximum Transmission Unit) from 1500 to 1400 or less (usually found on your router's main/ basic setup page)
         4] Then go to the Wireless tab, keep network mode as mixed,
For Channel Settings of 2.4 GHz you can make Channel Width to 20 MHz only and Channel to 6, 9, 11..
For Channel Settings of 5 GHz you can make Channel Width to 20 MHz only and Channel to 40 or 161...
B] If you haven't installed Cisco Connect then you can log on to the router's user interface using it's default IP address in the browser which is 192.168.1.1 and type in 'admin' as the password leaving the username field blank. This will take you to the router's web interface and then follow steps as mentioned above to make the changes.

i think firmware has been upgraded on the router... logon to router's setup page and click on the status and check whether the latest firnmware is installed or not, if you you found old firmware on the router try upgrading firmware using tftp utility...go to ftp.linksys.com/pub/network and download tftp.exe file and try upgrading firmware check whether it makes any difference or not.

I have Cisco UCS system ( 2 FI, 4 Chassis with 32 Server ) running 2.0 firmware. Now I want upgrade to 2.2. When I check document "Upgrading Cisco UCS from Release 2.0 to Release 2.2", I see have 2 solution:
- 1. Upgrading from Release 2.0 with Auto Install -> Step simple but all server reboot at same time.
- 2. Manually Upgrading from Release 2.0. -> Step more complex but can upgrade server one by one.
My question:
- Can I "Upgrade the infrastructure firmware with Auto Intall but upgrade Server with Manual"?
- What is best for my case?

In UCS you can create host firmware policy that can be used to upgrade the firmware of your blades. Once you upgrade the infrastructure firmware, you can apply the host firmware policy to the service profiles of your blades. If you are using service profiles templates you will need to unbind the service profiles and apply the policy to the individual servers.

What file do I use to upgrade WRT54GL firmware?

Just got a new WRT54GL wirless router and am interested in how to upgrade the firmware. Downloaded WRT54GL_v4.30.9_US.tgz from the Linsys support/download website. It's a zip file that contains WRT54GL_v4.30.9_US.tar which is another zip file that contains the source files. But there's no compiled file. Where can I get an executable that can be downloaded to the router?

You'd have to ask Linksys that question....but if the firmware for the 1.0 and the 1.1 are the same, they may just have forgotten to update the page...or they may just consider that if there are no firmware updates for the 1.1, why bother posting it...after all, no one should ever need to re-flash their routers, right??

Problem mounting network drive after upgrading router firmware

Hi guys,
It's been a while since I last posted a question of my own here, but I'm at my wits end. As I may have mentioned, I live in France, and my ISP is Free (no, not free, Free...). I've got what they call a "box" here, i.e. a sort of super-modem that will let you connect to the Internet via xDSL (and soon VDSL2), receive hundreds of TV channels, read BluRay discs, store files (videos, music, photos, what have you) on a integrated NAS, place and receive phone calls, whether via a landline (DECT) or, since recently, through a femtocell.
All in all, the package is impressive and works flawlessly. But...
(Of course, there had to be a "but)
... Yesterday, I let my "box" (it's called a Freebox Revolution, or Freebox V6--for Version 6--by the way) upgrade its firmware, reboot as it always does in such circumstances, and since that, the NAS won't mount in the Finder the way it used to under the Shared left pane.
Now, every time I reboot my Mac, I have to open a browser windows and type "smb://mafreebox.freebox.fr" in order mount the NAS in the Finder. I've saved the credentials (login, no password) in the keychain, hoping it would help, but it doesn't. I've got a PC running Windows 8.1 Preview at the moment, and created a shortcut to the NAS on the Desktop. Guess what? I double-click on the shortcut, and sure enough, I can access the content of the NAS from Windows, but not from the Mac.
I must add that I haven't changed anything on the Mac since, or before, upgrading the "box" firmware.
Any ideas?
