E_ADEPT_INTERNAL error

Hi, I've download a file .acsm, but when i try to import it on digital edition it tell me that there is the errore e_adept_internal:
what shoul i do?

Two possible answers.  Neither is specifically for your problem, but one or the other often works. ... good luck
Sometimes ADE gets its registration/activation confused and in a semi-authorized state.
Unfortunately, it often then gives misleading error messages about what is wrong.
Try completely removing any authorization using ctrl-shift-D to ADE (cmd-shift-D if on Mac).
Restart ADE, and then reauthorize with your Adobe ID.
There are lots of bugs in ADE2.0.  Try replacing ADE2.0 with the older but more reliable v1.7.2.
(You can have them both installed at once if you like.)
Version 1.7.2, it is a little difficult to find, available on Adobe site for Windows and for Mac.

  • Can't open eBook on iPad: get E_ADEPT_INTERNAL error.

I am trying to download to my iPad an Axis360 book i borrowed from my library. I have been able to download it to my Windows 8 PC, but i'm having trouble getting on the iPad. I have Axis 360 reader installed on my iPad. If i log in to the library, i can see the book i want to download. If i click download, i get a screen asking for my Adobe ID. I didn't remember having one, so i created one.
When i then use that to download the eBook, i get this message "The item was originally downloaded with a different user account or Adobe ID. To continue, please add that account.".
If i try adding an axisreader id, & use my library card # & PIN, i get this messge "E_ADEPT_INTERNAL. http://adeactivate.adobe.com/adept/SignInDirect null". How can i get the book?
I tried Adobe Tech Support & they were useless - they told me to try the Forums, so here I am...
P.S. Tnis does not seem like its an Adobe Reader question, but this is where Adobe tech support sent me.

It seems to be hit or miss if this works or not, but try opening Pages on the iPad, then before you select a document, on the very first screen, hit the "Edit" button, then select your document. Then click the arrow coming out of the box in the upper left corner & email the document to yourself. Try opening the email on a computer, selecting the file and adding the pages file type (.pages) to the end of the name. Then try reopening it in Pages.
I don't know if this is what happened in your case, but it seems like sometimes iWork documents lose that file type indicator & then Pages (numbers/ Keynote) won't open them.

  • Error message: E_ADEPT_INTERNAL

    Hey there,
When i try to open my downloaded ebook ( .acsm) in Digital Editions, i get the error message "E_ADEPT_INTERNAL". And that's it! I read on forums how to solve this problem by deleting the activation.dat file from the Library and download the ebook again. No succes. Also reinstall Digital editions does not solve the problem.
The history of this problem: I bought 2 ebooks ( .pdf & .epub) from bol.com in Holland. Opened them in Digital Editions without any problems. Then my hard drive crashed (no copy of the ebooks, my fault). Downloaded the ebooks again and tried to open them in Digital Editions. That gives me the error message "E_ADEPT_INTERNAL". I'm using Adobe Digital Editions 4.0.2 on a macbook pro.
What else can i do to solve the problem? Is there a discussion i missed explaining how to solve this problem? Help would be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Andries

    Hi there,
I had no luck in getting advise from Adobe. I could not find any proper instructions on any forum. But i did manage to solve the problem. I might as well share my experience for those who are interested. Important to mention: i had only 2 ebooks with the same error message: "E_ADAPT_INTERNAL". I had no other ebooks on my computer. Another thing to mention is: you can only download the ebook several times (3 times??). This is a trial and error solution that worked for me. It might, might not, work for you.
(Working on MacBook Pro -Retina, OS X Yosemite 10.10.2, Digital Editions 4.0)
    01. trash the downloaded ebook file (in my case: AdobeAfterEffectsCCClassroomi.acsm)
    02. empty trash
    03. trash the "activation.dat" file. (library -> application support -> Adobe -> Digital Editions)
    04. empty trash.
    05. uninstall Adobe Digital Editions by moving it to the trash.
    06. empty trash.
    07. restart computer
    08. clean all cashes (did a deep cleaning with Yosemite Cash Cleaner - Northern Softworks)
    09. restart computer
    10. install Adobe digital Editions 4.0
    11. download the ebook again
    12. open the ebook in Adobe Digital Editions
Hope some of you find luck in this workflow.

  • Error License Server Communication Problem: E_ADEPT_INTERNAL

Having problems trying to download Cicerone Guide books I have purchased as epub books.  Adobe Digital editions continues to give error  "License Server Communication Problem: E_ADEPT_INTERNAL -  tried deauthorising 10 times and have followed all suggestions in other forums but nothing works.  Please help.

I got the same error with 2 ebooks I purchased yesterday on Google Play. ("Gods of Risk" and "The Butcher of Anderson Station" by James S.A. Corey.) I had previously purchased 6 ebooks on Google Play without problem.
It wasn't a problem with my computer (I just did a fresh install of Windows 7 and had not used ADE yet). It's a problem with Google.
Yesterday, I asked a refund from books.google.com, then I saw I could also ask a refund when reporting a problem on Google Play, so I did this too. I got an immediate refund from Google Play.
Then I bought both ebooks on Kobo.com.
Today, I had an email from Google Play Support:
I apologize for the disruption this issue has caused in your reading experience. Please note we are aware of the problem and working to fix it as quickly as possible.
While I can't provide an exact date as to when it will be fixed, I will email you as soon as I have an update.
I've been buying ebooks for 14 years, from (now known as) eReader, Fictionwise, Bean Books, O'Reilly and Manning. I never had a problem until yesterday.
I really hate DRM, and I really despise publishers that buy in the fear, uncertainty, doubt and disinformation. And I hate Adobe even more.
But it's that, or never buying fiction ebooks anymore. (Thankfully, publishers in the tech industry don't use DRM.)
Some day, publishers will go the way of the music industry, which now sells MP3 without DRM. Meanwhile, they can't but continue to alienate their customers.

  • Fulfillment error - E_ADEPT_INTERNAL

    Hi there,
I am currently evaluating ACS4, and unfortunately I'm seeing an error when attempting fulfillment of a drm'ed epub in Digital Editions:
    Error getting license
    Server communication problem: E_ADEPT_INTERNAL
The corresponding server side log for the fulfillment WAR contains the following error:
    java.lang.NullPointerException

    at java.lang.Thread.run(Thread.java:619)
I would appreciate any assistance in attempting to resolve this problem. The background is that I am (seemingly) able to package epub books ok, and I am using my own prototype Java code to build and sign a ACS4 fulfillment url. My generated url looks like this:
    http://<myfulfillmentserver>/fulfillment/URLLink.acsm?action=enterorder&ordersource=<mydis tributorname>&orderid=1234567890&resid=urn%3Auuid%3A5e092985-794a-468a-905e-f3201c5ee1a9&g bauthdate=02%2F11%2F2010+14%3A45+GMT&dateval=1265899545798&gblver=4&auth=5f0f9af9fd4ccb3dd 3ebaa9ec7c7261a46791059
Invoking this url appears to result in Digital Editions receiving a valid acsm file, it is just the following fulfillment part that I am having a problem with.
When I access the 'statuscheck' for the fulfillment service, everything looks good (all green ticks).
    Thanks
    Alex.

    Hi there,
Thanks, I hadn't thought of checking the content but I've tried a few books now that I know to be "well formed", so I think I can eliminate content issues as the cause of this error.
I have double-checked the way I am building the fulfillment url in Java by comparing it with the PHP code in the sample bookstore, and I appear to be generating url's correctly...
From the server side stack trace, it would appear to related to licensing? It's difficult to tell though, as there is not a lot of detailed logging and I don't have access to the source code..... any help would be appreciated!
    Thanks

  • Activation server error on ADE 3.0

    Hi!
I unistalled ADE 4.0 and installed 3.0 because 4.0 wouldn't let me open .acsm files or transfer them to other devices. Now, on ADE 3.0, when i try to open an .acsm file, it comes up with a computer autorisaton window which reads "activation server error - code E_ADEPT_INTERNAL"
when i checked both the device and computer authorisation, it says that they are both authorised.
    please help!

It is important that the shared_pool value be specified in bytes. For example:
    shared_pool= 100000000
If you are running on 9i, another possibility is that the shared_pool setting is not taking effect
when the database is bounced. In 9i there is a new startup file called the "spfile". This is just
like the init.ora file with the following differences:
    1. It cannot be edited by a standard editor. It is a binary file.
    2. Any system changes to the database while the instance is running (e.g. via alter system) are automatically
    written back to the spfile.
By default, when the 9i database starts up, it first looks for the spfile. If it finds one it uses the
settings defined in it. If it doesn't, it looks for the init.ora file.
When a 9i database is installed both init.ora and spfile.ora are created for the instance by default. Changes to
init.ora are not seen by spfile.ora unless the "create spfile" command is used to sync them up.
To get around this behavior, there are several options:
    1. remove the spfile so that only the init.ora file exists. The database will then use init.ora exclusively.
    2. sync up the init.ora file and spfile.ora file using:
    create spfile='spfile.ora ' from pfile='init.ora'
where 'spfile.ora' and 'init.ora' are replaced with the appropriate names for your instance.
    3. Explicitly reference the init.ora file when starting up the database using:
    startup pfile='init.ora'
where 'init.ora' is replaced with the appropriate name for your instance.

  • E_ADEPT_INTERNAL

    Gracias.
    Un saludo

  • Unable to downlad ebook E_ADEPT_INTERNAL

I purchased a ebook and when trying to download I got the above error as "Error getting license. License server communication problem. E_ADEPT_INTERNAL". I could download it on one laptop. But I had to change the laptop. Cannot download to the new laptop. Although this happens to only one e-book. I am able to download another e-book. Any help appreciated.

If due to some reason, you are unable to deauthorize ADE, follow the below steps:
    Mac:
Navigate to /Users//Library/Application Support/Adobe/Digital Editions and drag the activation.dat file to the trash.
    ADE will be deauthorized now.
    Now Authorize ADE again.
    Windows:
    Choose Start > Run.
In the Open text box, type regedit and then press Enter. The Registry Editor opens.
In the left pane of the Registry Editor, locate the following registry key:
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Adept
Right-click the Adept key and choose Delete.
In the Confirm Key Delete dialog, click OK.
    ADE will be deauthorized now.
    Now Authorize ADE again.

Please advise, any help you can provide would be very helpful.  This is only happening with a select few of the books I packaged into the acs server.  Using the exact same packaging and fulfillment process works fine for many of the pdfs we uploaded.  There does not seem to be any common thread among the ones that fail vs. the ones that do not fail.
    Things we have tried:
    * Renaming the file  prior to upload to have no spaces/special characters.
    * deleting the product and trying again from scratch.
Has ANYONE seen this before?  Or have any idea what could be the cause?
    Thank you in advance,
    Joe

Is the transaction in the fulfillmentToken really '123456789' and not '1079267236_0'?
At a quick look the exception is that it is unable to create a license for this.  From memory the usual error for this is that the transaction is already recorded in the fulfillment table but there is no corresponding item in the license in the license table (join the user from the fulfillment table with the resource with the fulfillment item table - join is the fulfillmentid)
