E_ADEPT_NO_TOKEN while opening *acsm file

I keep getting error E_ADEPT_NO_TOKEN when i try to open the acsm file that I got from the library. I reinstalled the latest ADE 4.0, authorized my computer wiht adobe account and confirmed that the firewall is not blocking requests. What can I do more? Best - Elsbeth

I have this exact problem. I tried deactivating and reactivation ADE. Then I uninstalled it and re-installed it but still nothing. How do you fix this?
So, I downloaded a sample book from adobe and it worked just fine. Another thing I found in a forum said that the file is probably corrupted if your getting a no_token error and they opened theirs in notepad and fixed the codes. I don't know anything about coding but I looked at the code of the book that worked and the code of the book that doesn't and they are nothing alike. The other forum said it should start and end with <fullfilment_token> or something like that and the book that works has that but the book that doesn't work doesn't have that.
All you coding people, does that make any sense? Is this a problem with the file itself? How can I fix it?

i went ahead and checkd the file and the privs on the file they look correct -rw-r--r-- ...but when i just restart it ..it starts with no errors the next time......What could be the issue.....please help
Then only reason i could think of is the size of the file is 35MB now...is this the problem....if yes....is there a way to automaticaly rotate this file ....

WebLogic locks files as a safety precaution to prevent misconfigured setups (multiple domains sharing the same directory and store name) from attempting to share the same file.
I don't think that this message necessarily means there is a file corruption.
As for rotation, the file store automatically adds new files as needed (I think its 1 file for every 2GB of data). The "diagnostics" file store is generated by the optional diagnostics feature, and I think that this feature has options for controlling the amount of stored data.

Click Start, right-click Computer, click
Properties, and then click Advanced system settings.
On the Advanced tab, click Environment Variables.
Locate and select the __COMPAT_LAYER variable, and then click Edit.
Set the value of the __COMPAT_LAYER variable to EnableThemes. Or, delete the __COMPAT_LAYER variable.
If the issue persists, we can troubleshoot this problem in Clean Boot to determine whether background programs are interfering with PowerPoint:

How do I change the default program that opens .acsm files?

I am borrowing library eBooks to read on my Sony Reader. I want to ensure that Adobe Digital Editions is the default program to open .acsm files, but am not sure how to do that. Thanks for the help!

Right (control) click on the .acsm file > select Open With > then select Adobe Digital Editions.
Likewise you can select all of files in a folder with Edit > Select All > then Get Info and set them all to Open with: Adobe Digital Editions or whatever.

In PowerPoint 2013 on Windows 7 - 64 bit, when

affects Excel 2013. I have tried repairing it, done windows update and also uninstalled and reinstalled but no luck. I have researched this issue but it relates to Office 2007 and 2010 and the resolution does not support 2013.

I am using Adobe reader XI. When i open PDF it gives "OUT of memory" error after scrolling PDF gives another alert "Insufficient data for an image". after clicking both alerts it loads full data of PDF. It is not happening with all PDFs. couple of PDFs are facing this issue. Because of this error my software is not able to print these PDFS into TIFF. My OS in window7*64. I tried it on win2012R2 and XP. Same issue is generating there.

I've just upgraded to ADE 2.0 and can no longer open .acsm files. I've tried to associate ADE 2.0 to .acsm files via Windows 7 control panel and 'open with' but when I click ok, nothing happens - no error message but no acceptance of the association

E_ADEPT_REQUEST_EXPIRED could mean that a library loan has expired.
It can also happen if you get times or times-zones wrong.
There are quite a few bugs introduced in V2.0 that were not there in v1.7.2.
If you don't need the new features of V2.0, you might find an install of 1.7.2.
You can have both installed at once.
Version 1.7.2, it is a little difficult to find, available on Adobe site for Windows and for Mac.

I'm wondering if that is similar to the issue I've encountered before, where the file association for acsm is not to ADE but a certificate file. If you could try right clicking on the acsm and 'open with' and search for ADE and make sure 'always open with this' is check marked, that may, I repeat may, help.
If you've already done this, I don't know what to say, that's just what I've seen.

When you say that you erased everything before and after the fulfillmenttoken area, could you be more specific (i.e.did you remove all of the previous content or only the content located in that specific tag?) Can't open ACSM file

Hi, I can't open my ACSM files anymore. I've been using DE 1.7 for a while and had no problems till one ebook came up as an "Error to Licensing...". I tried to reinstall DE again but it wouldn't work from the "Install" prompt, so I went and followed the directions for the manual installation, with the "digitaleditions1x5" file deleted manually as well. Now DE is reinstalled but it won't open any ACSM file at all. I'm so lost. I've been searching the forums forever but doesn't seem to be anything that addresses this specifically. Can anyone help? ITunes is somehow the default opening acsm files instead of digital editions

So, I am trying to borrow eBooks from the library and download them into Adobe Digital Editions and then transfer them to my Kobo, but it is not so simple. I can download the acsm file, but when I double-click to open it, it tries to open in iTunes instead of Adobe Digital Editions. I can then go to my downloads folder, right-click on it and "open with.." Digital Editions. Is there a way to change this default? On my father's MacBook Air (I have a MacBook Pro), when you double click on the download it automatically opens in Digital Editions. I just want it to work this way on my computer!
Also, I am having issues transferring from Digital Editions to my Kobo - sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't - and I can't figure out why. Any thoughts?

Error While Opening PDF File in SAP Inbox

Hello Experts,
I am facing a weird error in SAP Inbox while opening a PDF files (both created by custom ABAP programs as well as the one attached to a new SAP Inbox message from my desktop & sent to my Inbox as a test).
The error states that "This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Please install program or, if one is already installed, create an association in the Default Programs control panel.".
I checked TCode DC30 also & found an appropriate program is already maintained for PDF.
I couldn't make out more out of this error message. Any inputs in this regard will be highly appreciable.
