Hi Experts,
We are using ATG 9.4 and we have around 70 thousand products, i think its not large number. but when we push projects from BCC it is taking more time.
here is my problem- we have 2 data centeres ,each data centere is having around more than 100 instances (agents) . we need to push to each data center. BCC is taking more time to push(hours). can you suggest me , what best can be done to avoid those issues. any soulution would be much appreciated
Thanks
KrishWe usually find performance problems can be traced back to the database layer.
Have you considered cleaning up the versioned schemas, either by using the OOTB purging functionality:
http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E26180_01/Platform.94/ATGCAProgGuide/html/s1301purgingassetversions01.html
or a complete rebaselining of your Publishing environment
For the two data centres you may want to consider using a product like GoldenGate

NoClassDefFoundError: sun/security/x509/CertificateSerialNumber
Hi!
I have the following installed -
JDK5, Tomcat for JWSDP and JWSDP.
Now as per the docs for "Integrating the Java WSDP Component Technologies with the Tomcat 5.0 for Java WSDP Container" I execute the bat file "jwsdpontomcat.bat <tomcat5 installation dir>" but I am getting the following error -
NoClassDefFoundError: sun/security/x509/CertificateSerialNumber
I have the JAVA_HOME, CATALINA_HOME and JWSDP_HOME properly set but still I get this error. The class "CertificateSerialNumber" is in
%JAVA_HOME%\jre\lib\rt.jar and this jar is in the classpath but still I get the error on executing the bat file.
Any idea/suggestion/pointer what could be missing would be very helpful?
TIAHi,
Sorry I can't answer your qustion but, as you can see, you are much further ahead of me in using this particular package. In fact, I have been trying to locate a copy of the sun.security package for downloading and have had no luck whatsoever! I have been just about everywhere imaginable on the Sun site and the only mention of it is here under the forums and a description located under http://java.sun.com/products/commerce/docs/ssl/packages.html. Judging by where you are, I was hoping that you could point me in the right direction via an appropriate URL.
Thanks,

Fri Dec 01 11:04:40 GMT+05:30 2Hello Muffy,
It looks like you do not have WLS 5.1 service pack 6 installed correctly. I
say this because I do not see the sp6 message at the top of your log and I saw
this message in your log:
org.xml.sax.SAXParseException: Element "weblogic-enterprise-bean" allows no
further input; "transaction-isolation" is not allowed

Trying to install Bea WebLogic Commerce Server 3.2
Hi there!
This is my environment:
Red Hat Linux 6.2 Kernel 2.2.14;
Bea WebLogic Server 5.1 service pack 9 (couldn't find service pack 6);
Java 1.3.1 (only for the Commerce Server);
Java 1.2.2 (only for Bea WebLogic Server);
512 Mb RAM
I followed instructions to install an evaluation copy of the Commerce Server 3.2
and this is my log of activities:
1. Registered software in order to get my evaluation license;
2. Downloaded the 1.3.1 version of java for Linux (they say: "The Solaris and
Linux versions of J2SE 1.3 ship with both VM implementations" (regarding client
& server implementations) source: http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.3/docs/guide/performance/hotspot.html);
3. Installed Java 1.3.1 as documentation says;
4. Installed WLCS 3.2 following step by step the guide regarding the "Does not
have a windowing environment" section (i found an error because my bundled version
does not have the UninstallerData/Uninstaller_Haystack file);
5. Ran the StartCommerce.sh procedure to start the server;
6. Got this error: (please see below)
What's wrong?
Thanks in advance
Sergio Ríos

present in the bea home directory of /usr/local/bea".
I have installed wl 6.0 sp 2, and I can get it up and running with no problem.
It is installed under /usr/local/bea/wlserver6.0.
I am running under redhat 7.0, and the environment variables are: WEBLOGIC_HOME
= /usr/local/bea/wlserver6.0
PATH=${BEA_HOME}/jdk131:${PATH}
I run the installer with the command:
sh WLCS_with_sp1UNIX.bin
Why wont this work?Hi.

Portal Commerce Templates in WLP 8.1?
Hi;
Just having a first look around the new WebLogic Platform 8.1, I wanted to
understand the strategy for developing and deploying e-Commerce websites.
It seems clear that it should be possible to host an existing WebLogic Portal
7 SP2 e-Commerce templates based web-site in a new WebLogic Portal 8.1 compatibility
domain.
The WLP 7 commerce templates are based on deprecated WebFlow and Pipeline technology
which is being superseded by PageFlow.
Will BEA or a partner will be supplying a WLP 7 SP2 Commerce templates style functionality
based on PageFlow technology for new developments?You can use the <wl:cache> tag
(http://e-docs.bea.com/wls/docs81/jsp/customtags.html#56944) in jsps to
cache dynamically generated JSP content.
In other, java-based code you can use the com.bea.p13n.cache.Caches,
which supports TTLs and external-flushing. See the WLP javadoc.

I'm looking to cache content in the portlet itself, something like:

-The headlines are cached for an hour.
-The weather forecast is cached for six hours.
-The weather map is cached for a day.
-The highly-personalized section with the reader's name doesn't get cached at
all.
When a visitor requests a page, construct only those portlets that are not cached.
Then, portal builds the complete page out of the newly constructed portlets and
the cached portlets. On many complex sites, well over 90% of the page can be cached,
leading to vastly superior performance over sites that have to reconstruct the
entire page each time a visitor requests it.
We are looking at a competing product that can do all this.

Connecting SAP XI to Websphere Commerce server via SOAP
Hi, I hope you can help...
I am currently attempting to connect to Websphere Commerce server 6.0.0.6 from SAP XI 3.0 using web services. Websphere Commerce has standard services for loading products that we would like to automate from SAP ECC. I have created the interface using an async/sync bridge in BPM.
Matmas IDoc (Async) --> ProcessCatalogEntry (Sync Request) --> AcknowledgeCatalogEntry (Sync Response) --> ALEAUD IDoc (Async).
This is working to an extent and I have a request and response in the message monitor
However, in the response message I am receiving an authorisation failure as the webservice requires the following in the SOAP header:
<soapenv:Header>
<wsse:Security soapenv:mustUnderstand="1"
xmlns:wsse="http://docs.oasis-open.org/wss/2004/01/oasis-200401-wsswssecurity-secext-1.0.xsd">
<wsse:UsernameToken>
<wsse:Username>xxxxxxxx</wsse:Username>
<wsse:Password Type="http://docs.oasis-open.org/wss/2004/01/oasis-200401-wssusername-token-profile1.0#PasswordText">xxxxxxxx
</wsse:Password>
</wsse:UsernameToken>
</wsse:Security>
</soapenv:Header>
From reading several posts I used the nosoap method to achieve this. I checked the "Do not use SOAP envelope"
in my receiver SOAP channel. I downloaded the SOAP Envelope XSD and added to it to include my additional header and body elements.
However, this is not working and I receive the following message in the monitor:
SOAP: Response message contains an error XIAdapter/HTTP/ADAPTER.HTTP_EXCEPTION - HTTP Internal Server Error
I also created an XSLT to add the required SOAP header but was unsure how to use this as part of a synchronous process...
If you can, could you please advise me on how to resolve this issue...
Many thanks,
Pete
Edited by: Pete White on Feb 4, 2010 11:49 AMHello Thomas,
thanks for your answer. We are already on SP19. Starting and stopping is reacting but only with the above mentioned errors.
I think, that the classnames are OK because with a little Java JMS Testprogramm with the same parameters from the channeldefinition we can connect to the BEA Server. So this should be OK.
Kind regards

Starting WebLogic Commerce as an NT Service
Hi. I have tried running the WebLogicCommerce Server as an NT service,
using the wlservice from the weblogic/bin directory, and setting
correctly the environment properties needed for running the commerce. It
seems to start.... When I run the portal examples, they do not run, i
get a 500 http error, and i think what is causing is this the following:
weblogic.utils.ParsingException: nested IOException:
java.io.IOException: cannot resolve 'lib/esjsp.jar' into a valid tag
library
at weblogic.servlet.jsp.JspLexer.parse(JspLexer.java, Compiled Code)
at weblogic.servlet.jsp.JspParser.doit(JspParser.java, Compiled Code)
at weblogic.servlet.jsp.JspParser.parse(JspParser.java:115)
I suspect that the wlservice appends incorrectly the <weblogic
home>/classes directory to the classpath, and this makes the commerce
confused with the classloaders.

Peter WuHi,
Good call Craig! I had the same problem, and your advice fixed it...
thanks!
Is it just me, or are WL service packs becoming more unruly and difficult to
install? Pretty soon we'll need to write Unix scripts to install these
updates!

We had the same problem, but we finally found something that fixed this in
the WLCS release notes
(http://e-docs.bea.com/wlcs310/relnotes/relnotes.htm#99669)
Basically, there is a file in WebLogic SP6 that has no mention in the
service packs readme files. Copy the service packs
lib/weblogic-tags-510.jar file to your weblogic/lib directory, and theerror
will go away.
