E-Commerce Gateway and EANCOM D96A - request for help

Hi All,
I have no experience with e-Commerce Gateway and hence the following questions.
We have a customer who is looking for a quote for the following:
1. On Ship Confirm of an order, an Advance Shipment Notice (ASN) needs to be generated and sent to the customer visa EDI; and an SSCC pallet label needs to be generated
2. We had assumed that the ASN is a x12 856 DSNO – but it turns out that the required document is a EANCOM D96A
The questions I have are:
1. Does anyone have experience in implementing a solution to the aforementioned problem using e-Commerce Gateway?
2. If yes, what is the best approach? The way I see it is, e-Commerce gateway can be configured so that on Sip Confirm, an EDI message is generated and dropped into a pre-configured EDI outbound folder/directory. We then expect that a third party translator is used to pick the message from the outbound folder, translate it, and send it to the recipient. Do I understand correctly, or am I missing something?
3. Re: #2 above, is there a preferred third party translator in the UK? I found that GXS provides gateways/translators for eBS which seem to be referred to in quite a few forum/blog posts
4. Again Re: #2 above, is there a preferred solution method avoiding third party translators and using a custom built SOA object - a BPEL process maybe? (Assuming the customer has SOA suite licence)
5. While e-Commerce Gateway supports 12x 856 DSNO, I cannot find any document to suggest that it supports a EANCOM D96A. Any comments?
Btw, I have skimmed through the e-Commerce Gateway implementation guide and users guide, and I still have this questions :-)
I know this is a lot of questions. Would highly appreciate any kind of answers to/pointers regarding any/all of my questions

You can replace both of them by taking the data from b2b and putting them to staging tables( in case of orders) using integration tools like bpel or writing simpel PL/SQL to dequeu message from ques. One the data is in staging then u can write concurent porgrams
This approach is good if you have lot of customizations to be done.
But if you want to follow the standards then use XML gateways/ECG gateways. Its just need confugring(like TP) and you get the whole bunch of data. ECG generates .dat files and u need some transaltor to read these files and then load to b2b.Same goes with XML agetways. ECG and XML getway both have there own benifits, best of XML ebeing we get evrything in XML format making it easy to translate

Where does moving ever get started? Why does Move extend Thread instead of implementing Runnable? (Implementing runnable is preferred and often the correct way to do it and it is in this case)
But regardless there shoud be a moving.start() somewhere or start of the Thread that has the Runnable target Move.... I don't think I see one. Unless I missed it.
so...itll work if i change the setup to Runnable?

How can I get iTunes to answer my requests for help?

I have tried for a few days now to get iTunes to help me get some tunes that partially downloaded. Their initial response seemed to work but the next day the tunes were only partially on my PC. I re-installed the software, called the phone number on my PayPal receipt, sent another e-mail request for help, responded to their follow up e-mail a few days ago asking if my issue was resolved.........and STILL cannot get them to help me resolve. They say I should receive a response within 24 hours, and it has been longer. No phone number to call, the initial instructions to re-download the missing tunes were confusing

WRT54G not working with cable internet access - request for help

Good evening!
At least that's the time when I write this.
I have a PC running Vista 64-bit version.
Until yesterday, I was connected to the internet using my WRT54G and a cable modem. There was a power outage (or blackout) and I lost my internet connection. I was not home when this happened. I got home and found the circuit breaker off. Since then, I can not access the internet anymore when I use the router.
If I connect the computer to the cable model directly, I can access the internet without a problem (hence I'm able to post this).
If I connect the computer to port 1 in the router, and connect the cable modem to the internet port in the router, I am not able to connect to the internet.
I have already:
- updated the firmware to the latest version (it was already installed)
- reset the router pressing the "reset" button for 30 seconds, unplugging it, and reconnecting power still pressing the "reset" button for 30 seconds.
- power cycled the devices
- tested 3 differnet patch cables that I know are good and they work
- reset the modem via a soft-reset remote request sent from the cable operator
None of these options have helped me restore my router's connection to the internet.
I know the router is working because I can print using my wireless printer and I can see my shared drives in the other PC I have connected to it, but none of them are able to connect to the internet!
Does anyone have any additional ideas on how I can fix this, before I go out and buy a new router?

As you have mentioned in your previous post, that you have resetted your router and you are still able to Print from your Wireless Printer, I Feel that your Router is not getting Resetted properly, whenever you reset your router your router goes to Factory default mode, and it will change the wireless network name to "linksys" and your Network will be unsecured. Press and hold the reset button for 60 seconds...Release the reset button...Unplug the power cable from your router, wait for 60 seconds and re-connect the power cable.
Once you reconnect the power to the Linksys router, On your computer Open IE and in the address bar type (http://192.168.1.1) and hit enter, when prompted for username and password, Leave the username blank and in password type "admin" and click Ok. Below the Setup tab you will find MTU, So change it to "Manual" and change the size from 1500 to 1365 and Click on Save Settings. Then Below the Setup Tab you will find the Sub tab "MAC address Clone" click on it and "Enable" and click on "Clone your PC's MAC" and click on Save Settings. Now you can Unplug the Power from Router and Unplug the Power for Modem. Wait for 30 seconds, and 1st connect the Power to your Modem and wait till all the lights goes Stable then you can connect the power to Linksys router and once all the lights are sold. On your computer Open IE and check if you are Online.

although the exact location is indicated in your crash report as quoted above - look under 'Binary Images'.
Close Safari and delete them, then restart Safari and it should be working normally. Alternatively drag them to the desktop and restart Safari. then add them back one at a time, restarting Safari every time, until you find the one (or more) causing the crash.
Check with the developers of the plug-in/s in question for updates that are Safari 5 compliant.

Request for help on Vendor Consignment stock and Customer Consignment Stock

HI Experts,
We have a requirement to segregate the Customer Consignment stock and Vendor consignment stock from the total Consignment stock available in the BW report.
Currently in the report the calculation of total consignment stock is based up on Issued consignment stock and Received consignment stock .
The calculations of the Issued and Received consignments stocks are specified below.
Issued consignment Stock
The below following parameters are checked when the quantity is considered as Issued consignment Stock
Transaction or Process keys : 100, 101, 104, 105, 106, 110
Application    :   MM
Stock relevance : 1
Adding to the above conditions,
u2022     When the stock category is u2018Ku2019, the Quantity in Base Unit of Measure is assigned to Issued Consignment Stock. or
u2022     When the stock category is blank and the stock type is u2018Eu2019 or u2018Ku2019 or u2018Lu2019 then also the Quantity in Base Unit of Measure is assigned to Issued Consignment Stock.
Received Consignment Stock :
The below following parameters are checked when the quantity is considered as Issued consignment Stock
Transaction or Process keys : 000, 001, 004, 005, 006, 010
Application    :   MM
Stock relevance : 1
Adding to the above conditions,
u2022     When the stock category is u2018Ku2019, the Quantity in Base Unit of Measure is assigned to Received Consignment Stock. or

Only stock category and stock type are available in the BW report for determining the type of consignment stock . So, with respect to stock category and stock type, could you please kindly advise if it is possible to determine the Customer consignment stock and Vendor consignment stock in the report

Hi,
We can settle consignment goods to vendor through MRKO transaction.Even user transafers consignment stock to own stock through MB1B transaction.We can use same document to settle vendor through MRKO transaction.
What is implications of such Action (like Goods issue, 1 step transfer) on SAP.
Nothing will happpen after after stock converted to own stock.

Artifacting in Motion. Sample project, and a request for help inside.

Would anyone be willing to download this Motion project and see if any artifacting occurs, either on playback or export? I'm on an original 2.66 quad macpro with a x1900 GPU. i've had the entire system checked out by apple, and clean installed everything and this issue still persists. i'm just curious everything the same if the issue shows up on anyone else's system with a similar configuration.
after opening motion it takes about 2x times looped through or just randomly scrubbed before the artifacts start to appear.
here's the link, it's got the motn source .mov zipped up and a sample of the artifacting issue as well as a screen cap from openGL monitor that shows some interested parameters jumping around when artifacting occurs.

"issue: artifacting in motion when building/exporting multi layer projects with video with fx's and masks applied (about 13 layers with 1 mask and primatte rt turned on causes artifacting). Link to samples of .motn and .mov below.
background: this is occurring on a clean install of os x 10.5 as well as a clean install of 10.4. this computer has spent a week at the apple store getting run through hardware diagnostics and came back with a clean bill of health. after reinstalling and building fresh projects the same artifacting immediately reoccurred.
other notes: I have run the OpenGL monitor while playing back and exporting in motion and artifacts always coincide with a huge spike in the "Texture Page Off Data (Non-AGP)" parameter, there are also lessor spikes in "CPU wait for GPU" but those are not always indicative of an artifact.
I also have a nvidia 7300 gpu installed and it handles any and all motn files flawlessly (albeit soooo much slower)
I have had similar issues since purchasing this system over a year ago.
I would sincerely appreciate any kind of communication other than "reinstall your system and FCS 2"

Personally, I think the problem is related to Leopard. I too have been getting artefacts in Motion 3 projects with masking since installing Leopard. Like Austin's experience, the artefacts do not appear at first after launching Motion but emerge fairly fast.
Deleting the mask(s) gets rid of the problem but I kind of wanted to be able to use masks in my Motion projects! I had been doing so without problems in Motion 3 but with OS X Tiger. In case you were wondering, I have also reinstalled Motion and Final Cut since installing Leopard following advice on other threads.
I don't think the issue is hardware-related, though I appreciate that my projects are very demanding for the system I have. Other more demanding projects in other applications (including Final Cut Pro) may render slowly but don't result in artefacts.

Request for Help - Very slow and programs crash, etc. since upgrading to Lion

I have searched the forum for a while looking for answers, but everyone seems to have different issues.
Since upgrading to Lion last week, EVERYTHING is running slow. I have an iMac (late 2009) with 4GB ram and over 700GB of free hard drive space.
I am not running a ton of heavy duty programs -- just the basics - word, entourage, safari, preview, and occasionally Photoshop, iPhoto, etc. I haven't even tried to edit any video since upgrading.
I continually get the "spinning wheel" when doing the most simple tasks like deleting a mail message, or opening a pdf file.
I have done all software updates.
Any help is greatly appreciated!

Next for Photoshop, make sure to follow tips on the http://roaringapps.com/apps:table website for your version of Photoshop, to ensure you aren't overtaxing your system, and that you are usign any applications that are current for Lion. If you have any WiFi routers, make sure WPA2 password protection is on, and not WEP, and not an open network, and that their firmware has been tested with Lion.
