E-commerce recommendations?

I have an iWeb site which I'm quite satisfied with, and I am now wanting to use this and either link to or integrate (through HTML snippets) with an e-commerce site to sell a couple of products. I don't need much power to the e-commerce site. Just a way to list a few pieces, take orders, and collect shipping info. Payment by paypal and/or google checkout and/or credit card... the more options the better.
Preferably I'd like something where the interface is customizable.
Does anyone have recommendations for a good free or cheap site that would serve this purpose?
-zShops?
-weebly?
-yahoo?
-storesonline?
-godaddy?
I'm quite in the dark and would appreciate any referrals.

os Commerce requires that register globals be set to on in

  • E-Commerce Catalog error and log configurator probelm?

    Hello,
I am trying to browse a B2B shop (http://server:port/b2b/b2b/init.do) in CRM 5.0 and getting following error message:
The catalog that you have selected is currently unavailable; try again later
I am using CRM 5.0 System (IDES Client) and basically trying to setup a E-Commerce development environment.
Following are the steps i have done so far for E-Commerce configuration:
    1. Configured ISADMIN (http://server:port/isauseradm/admin/xcm/init.do).
1.1 Changed following params for Start->General Application Settings->Customer->isauseradm->isauseradmconfig:
    >> SSLEnabled: false
    >> appinfo: true
    >> show start.jsp: true
    >> AddUserToPartner: true
    >> AcceptExistingUser: true
1.2 Created a new JCo connection under Start->Components->Customer->jco and entered my back end CRM System details and saved it as CRM_800_JCO. I also did Run Test which was successful.
1.3 Created a new JCo connection under Start->Application Configurations->Customer and entered following params and saved it with name CRM_800_ISAUSERADMSTD:
    >> Base configuration: isauseradmStandard
    >> default configuration: X
    >> active configuration: X
    >> jcodata: CRM_800_JCO
    >> backendtype: crmdefault
    >> usertype: CRM_Standalone
    >> uidata: default
    2. Configured B2B (http://server:port/b2b/admin/xcm/init.do).
2.1 Changed following params for Start->General Application Settings->Customer->b2b->b2bconfig:
    >> SSLEnabled: false
    >> appinfo: true
    >> show start.jsp: true
2.2 Created a new JCo connection under Start->Components->Customer->jco and entered my backend CRM System details and saved it as CRM_800_JCO. I also did Run Test which was successful.
2.3 Created a new JCo connection under Start->Application Configurations->Customer and entered following params and saved it with name CRM_800_B2BCRMSTD:
    >> Base configuration: b2bcrmstandard
    >> default configuration: X
    >> active configuration: X
    >> jcodata: CRM_800_JCO
    >> usertype: CRM_Standalone
    3. I was really not sure if ShopAdmin config is required or not but i did it. Configured SHOPADMIN (http://server:port/shopadmin/admin/xcm/init.do).
3.1 Changed following params for Start->General Application Settings->Customer->shopadmin->shopadminconfig:
    >> SSLEnabled: false
    >> appinfo: true
    >> show start.jsp: true
3.2 Created a new JCo connection under Start->Components->Customer->jco and entered my backend CRM System details and saved it as CRM_800_JCO. I also did Run Test which was successful.
3.3 Created a new JCo connection under Start->Application Configurations->Customer and entered following params and saved it with name CRM_800_CRMSHOP:
    >> Base configuration: crmshop
    >> default configuration: X
    >> active configuration: X
    >> jcodata: CRM_800_JCO
    4. Restarted CRM J2EE.
    5. Setup TREX 7.0.
5.1 From TREX Administration, created a new connection (Type A, i.e., using System Number and Application Server Host) for CRM System and also RFC Dest. (sm59) in CRM System.
5.2 Restarted TREX and connected this connection.
5.3 Following are the visible column values for this connection in TREX Administration:
    >> Connection Status: <connected>
    >> Configuration Satus: Green
    >> SAP System: CRM
    >> RFC Destination: TREX_DEFAULT
    >> Gateway: local
    >> RfcServer Instances: 1 (no automatic changes)
    >> TREXRfcServer Processes: 1
    >> Workprocesses: 6 (4 DIA, 2BGD)
5.4 Did a RFC Connection test in CRM System using SM59 which was successful as well.
5.5 Using Transaction SRMO (Retrieval : Search Server Relation Monitor) in CRM System changed the RFC Destination for Search server ID DRFUZZY (for both I and S type RFC Server destination action) to TREX_DEFAULT. Did a connection test for this and it was successful.
    6. Initiated Replication using transaction COMM_PCAT_IMS_INIT with following params:
    >> Product Catalog: PCSHOP
    >> Variant: VAR_EN
    >> Search Server Relation:  DRFUZZY
    >> Publishing Computer ID:
    >> Allows Parallel Processing:
    >> Publish Documents via HTTP:
    >> Transfer Document Content: X
    >> Package Size of Indexing: 5,000
    >> Processing Existing Indexes: Overwrite Index Only When OK
    >> Behavior when Error Messages Occur: Cancel Variant Replication
    7. Logged into ISADMIN User Config (http://server:port/isauseradm/useradmin/init.do) and created a new user using the option New User and New Contact Person with an existing company of type Sold-To Party and which belongs to the sales area that is linked with PCSHOP Product Catalog (from IDES data).
Now, when i log into B2B Page (http://server:port/b2b/b2b/init.do) using the newly created user and click on the shop PC4BIZ_EN i get following error message:
The catalog that you have selected is currently unavailable; try again later
I also created a new Product Catalog and did the Initial Replication still getting the same above error message.
Can anyone please tell me what am i missing or what mistake i have done?
I even restarted CRM System, but the result is still the same.
Also, how do i check the log files for B2B? I checked the E-Commerce Admin Console (http://server:port/b2b/admin/index.jsp) and clicked on the logging link, but i get the following message:
Logging is now configured centrally in the J2EE Engine Visual Administrator (server service: Log Configurator)
How exactly do i configure and what is the right path for B2B Logging in J2EE Visual Administrator? And where will the log files for B2B be stored on the server?
I would really appreciate (and of course award points) for your help on this.
    thanks and regards,
    Vasu

Thanks for the Note reference. I will go through it now and try to check the log files.
And regarding the error message i don't think it could be because of The Catalog variant is not set right in the Shopadmin application as all the values in Shopadmin seem to be correct. Anyhow following are the current values selected for the custom Product Catalog I created:
    Shop Id: ZTEST

Regarding the reason "The Catalog was not replicated properly and is hence unavailable on TREX", is there any way to verify this? When i ran Initial Replication (transaction COMM_PCAT_IMS_INIT with the values i said in my first post) everything was green.
Also, how do i clear the Catalog Cache? Is it the same as clearing the Catalog Cache Statistics in E-Commerce Administration Console (http://server:port/b2b/admin/index.jsp)?

  • Dreamweaver CS5 E-Commerce Book/Resources

    Hi,
I have recently completed my Adobe Dreamweaver and Flash CS5 certificate but the course only covers the basics for an information based website. I would like to learn about databases i.e for logins etc where people can add their details to the database and it allows them to login. Also i would like to learn about online payments and adding a basket etc to my site to process products etc.
I need a book/resource which i can use to learn how to make an e-commerce site, but have looked and cannot find a book for what i need.
Can anybody recommend any books that are sold in the United Kingdom that i can use for learn how to do this in CS5 and that still follows the latest web standards i.e CSS etc.
    Any help would be appreciated.

As for your other question of "can" this be done (Credit Card Processing from EJB). I would never say anything can not be done. Explain your problem with more detail and I'm sure someone in this forum can lead you in the right direction.
If reading that book does not help you figure out how to use ANT, then I would suggest taking a course from your local Java experts.

  • E-Commerce/Shopping Cart

I have a client that would like an e-commerce site for her
business. I've searched various e-commerce web building sites and
have found that the templates used are not sufficient nor
attractive for me or the client.
I like to do a lot of my web building using Dreamweaver 8,
Frontpage, and Publisher. I would prefer to use Dreamweaver 8 and I
have been searching tutorials, manuals, forums, etc. trying to find
    an answer.
I'm not the "best" person when it comes to web designing, so
therefore I would prefer an almost Step-by-Step Guide that I can
read. Money is very scarce so going out and purchasing books or
software really isn't an option as well.
Can someone knowledgeable in this PLEASE, PLEASE help. I have
been working on this for a week now. I need an answer ASAP as the
site needs to be built and ready to be uploaded in 3 days.

As time is of the essence, at this point, I would recommend
    using a prebuilt
cart .. if there aren't too many products, you can use
    something like the
PayPal shopping cart, which is free and there are
    instructions on the paypal
    site for getting started.
Also see if your host has a shopping cart included .. many
    have a simple one
    already included with your package.

Neil will give the word on this, but I hope not. One of the benefits of this forum is the ability to share good and bad experiences with commercial software and vendors. Being able to link to the sites involved is one of the ways to make this work well.
Now providing self-promotional links are the bit that is frowned upon.

    Hi Don,
At first I thought Kath was referring to my links to Project Seven and WebAssist extensions. But then I realized that in the original post there were links that would fit the category of Commercial Advertising. So I assume that's what Kath might have been referring to.
I agree that we need to be able to provide links to companies that we use and recommend. I'm not an affiliate of either of those companies, although I probably should sign up with Project Seven since I like their product. :-)

  • Is a Beta release secure enough for e-commerce ?

I know beta versions are generally''' not''' recommended as everyday browsers, but now that current Firefox betas are conceptually more like release candidates, are they stable and secure enough to be used for e-commerce (ebay and the likes) just like a normal release version? If nothing, they should receive security fixes before the release, whilst critical bugs should have already been dealt with in earlier stages,is that understanding correct?
edit:yes this was posted with a nightly but the question was really aimed at current beta releases.

Firefox 8.0 beta becomes a release version today 11/08 at 8am PST. Security is no issue with any version, as all supported versions are going to get an update today.

  • How to integrate with a commerce app

Is there a sample workflow for a shopper paying for access on a commerce website to view encrypted content?
It seems that the player app will need to prompt for user authorisation, but what should the values be considering they bought the content on the commerce website?
In the case of a subscription, what API should be called to update the CustomerAuthorization table?
    Many thanks in advance.

    Hi Kevin,
If you would like to use complex business workflows, like the subscription workflow you've mentioned below, it's recommended you install the Reference Implementation license server, and not the license server for Protected Streaming.  Instructions on how to do this (which I assume you've already done) can be found on page 64 of the "Protecting Content" document: http://help.adobe.com/en_US/flashaccess/2.0/protecting_content.pdf
After setting up your license server, packaging content, and confirming that you can playback encrypted content, you should take a look at page 70 of the document, where it goes into detail on "Implementing the usage models".  This is where you turn on the Reference Implementation's business model workflows.
Regarding your question on what API you should use to update the CustomerAuthorization table - there is no API; this table is contained in your MySQL database.  You'll have to use SQL to update that table, or at least modify the "PopulateSampleDB.sql" file with whatever changes you want to that table, and re-run it.  In the real world, your web site portal will have to implement account management logic, which will handle things such as accept payment, and then update the appropriate tables needed to grant the proper access privileges to the user (like updating that CustomerAuthorization table).
    cheers,
    /Eric.

  • E-commerce with Internet Explorer 7.0

    Hi All,
Is SAP E-Commerce application compatable with internet explorer 7.0.
As making changes in UI (style sheet ) there is lot of change in IE6 to IE7.
    Please advice.
    Thanks,
    Devender

We are running SAP CRM 4.0
    ISA_B2B (internet sale application)
ICSS_B2C (internet customer self service B2C)
ICSS_B2C (internet customer self service B2B)
    EP6 (Enterprise Portal 6.0)
We find it very difficult to maintain support for all browsers.
We do try to ensure that our e-commerce apps work correctly in the top 3 browsers.
Browser support is going to get more and more difficulty with the release of Google  Chrome and IE8.
I would recommend keeping any UI changes/updates in SAP e-commerce web apps to a minimum.

  • WL commerce server 3.2 installation

    Hi,
I am using WebGaing Studio 4.1, meaning that I have WL 5.1.0 SP7, on an
    NT4SP4 workstation.
Following the readme, I have downgraded my WL installation to WL5.1.0SP6. As
well, I have installed Sun HotSpot server VM.
However, when trying to install the soft, I only have the installanywhere
screen, which stops without raising an error. But I don't have anything
else, even the red splash screen.
The only remaining difference being in the NT service pack (SP5
recommended), is it the issue or did i missed something?

    Hi Doina,
WLCS/WLPS 3.2 requires a minimum of 128 MB of RAM; more is recommended.
You're running with less than the minimum requirement, which will make it
    very slow.
Also, when you first run one of the sample applications the JSPs will need
to be compiled. This causes the first invocation of each page to be slow.

Has anybody else had trouble with the commerce server 3.1 installshield?
I'm running windows 2000 professional on a brand new micron machine and it

I figured out!! It has to do with the fact that I had loaded JDK1.3, instead
    of 1.2.2. I removed 1.3 and installed 1.2.2. I originally followed "nene"
recommendations, but to no avail (I am noting this, because I didn't
back out the changes). Anyways, as soon as 1.2.2 was installed it worked
as advertised. Tommorrow I will see if it works.

    Hi Derek,
    thank you for response.
I have no error during the import in Development and all status of SCs are green.
In effect I created a custom DC with the wizard (that I named CUSTCRMPRJ) and now I can see this into Inactive DC tab, but I don't see other SCs that I have to modify, like SAP-SHRWEB and SAP-CRMWEB.
How do I can mark SCs for development?
    Best Regards,
    Giampaolo
