I want to thank the Adobe people for the halp with my problem, although they did not let me know it had been done.
Since I was having this problem and my ebook seller on my Adobe ID is Adobe ID, they had to reset the licenses
for the books so I could download them again. This has partially fixed my problem. On my laptop, I did not think
(senior moment) to use my existing Adobe ID, I just didn't authorize the computer. I downloaded all the books and
it worked fine, but I have some books that I can not access again to complete my collection of purchases. The
books in question are:

If you can reset the license on these then I can complete my series.

That answer seems to work in purchased books but in my case I dont know who is the ebook provider in lebrary. I asked library people and they did not give me any contact to reset the activation. I will try again to find out that contact. I was wondering if there is any way at our side so we can fix this. Probably there is nothing. Thanks anyway.

X1900 Issue Partially Resolved

Hi,
Ok, after taking my machine into the shop to get looked at. Everything turned out to be ok. I brought the machine back home and nothing. The card doesn't work. Actually, it doesnt work on my older Cinema display, approx 1 year old. But, the card does work on my newly ordered 20" Cinema display.
Now, I need to find out whether there are spec differences in the new and older 20" Cinema screens. I will attempt to resolve through ATI, but they seem to be useless, and caused the panic to begin with by talking about Power Supply Unit issues.
My next question is can I put the 6600 card in another slot and run my older monitor from that card?

Ok, got to the bottom of the issue!
As it turns out, it's the combination of the ATI card and the Apple Cinema display. ATI admits that there are issues with the older revisions of the Apple Cinema displays and its cards. The newly released displays do not seem to exhibit these issues. The problem does seem to be isolated to the Apple Cinema display product line.
So, be careful when buying new ATI cards, esp. the X1900 upgrade card if you have an older Cinema display model.
I use 2, 20" LCD Cinema displays only 1 year apart in age. The old one is a no go and the new one is fine.

Robocopy wont reset archive attribute with /M switch..incremental backup to zip folder...partially RESOLVED!!!

I want to make backup only files which have archive attribute set. /M switch is what I need but robocopy wont reset archive bit from subfolders and only reset bit on files in root of source folder. How to force robocopy to reset archive bit from all copied
files???

I can use attrib command but I have in working folder 900.000 files so this is not option.
edit....robocopy work as expected in 2012 standard. /M switch reset archive attribute so I can use robocopy for incremental backups.
Script: c:\a is source and c:\b is destination. c:\b\temp is temporary folder from where 7zip package backed up files to archive. After 7zip finish jod script delete all files folders from temp folder. I want to use zip archive because this will be much
easier for file system. With time I will have some zip files instead 10000000 files or folders. Zip files will have in name date and time for easier tracking.

Thumbnails/icons missing...partially resolved...maybe not fw related....

Ok so it appears this issue only occurs if I access the ix4 300d using the Storage Manager program. If I access the ix4 300d using the Storage Connector client all icons/thumbnails are visible. Anyone else able to confirm the issue is then related to the Storage Manager software and probably not the new firmware?
Anyway I'll just use the 'Connector' software from now on....

Webcam not recognized by YouCam5-partially resolved

If your webcam isn't recognized by YouCam5 try this:
1-open Service Console
2-locate "Rilevamento Hardware Shell" (thai is the italian name of the service)
-stop the service
-start the service (better than restart)
-open YouCam5
your webcam will be recognized

After downloading, I recved the following message: “The setup has detected that version (1.07..) of Camera Assistant Software for Toshiba is already installed. This setup installs an earlier version of Cam Asst. Soft for Toshba. You will need to uninstall the previous version (17.193.0508L) before installing this version.”
I have not tried to find the earlier Cam Asst Soft for Toshba version to uninstall yet. Should I find the earlier version, uninstall and download this earlier version?

SSO to ITS error

Good day,
I have a problem when trying to connect to ITS via SSO. This has all been set up and it works fine. Problem arises when I deactivate my user's password (delete the password) on the R/3 end and whenever I try to log to the ITS via SSO, an error message "USER_HAS_NO_PASSWORD" appears.
Could this be a configuration setting that needs to be set up?

Found the cause of the problem in OSS Note 1068459.

Safari will not open an https webpage.

I cannot access any https screens in Safari. An example is my banking; I can get to their website, but when I try to log in the blue bar goes as far as https and stops there. This is a copy of the last error message I got when I tried to get into another website: "Safari can’t open the page “https://www.mailarmory.com/index.html”. The error was: “lost network connection” (NSURLErrorDomain:-1005) Please choose Report Bug to Apple from the Safari menu, note the error number, and describe what you did before you saw this message." My banking works in Internet Explorer.
I have now sent 2 messages to the Report Bug and still nothing.
iMac Mac OS X (10.4.5)

My question is only partially resolved and I'm not sure how it happened. I can get into a few https sites, but not the ones I need to. I have used AppleCare, my banking site help, the server techs and no one can solve the problem. My biggest concern is with my banking site and the server tech tells me the problem is with "cookies", but can't find a way to fix it. It works if I use Internet Explorer, but not Safari. Another site was the Kodak page and I worked with their tech people. They also indicated that the problem was with "cookies", but nothing they suggested worked and they ended up sending me a CD to download an upgrade that I was trying to do. I don't believe telling me to use Internet Explorer is a solution!

Pop up menu links dont work

i have created a pop up menu in fw then brought it into my
page using "fw insert html" into dw. saved the page as template. i
then modified it w/ behaviours to have internal page links. i have
already resolved the issue of the menu text showing thru the menu
colors by adding a wider border and making it dark so they wont be
seen. now the links from the pop up menu dont find the pages. i
have partially resolved the issue on the first page view but once
the page is found the menu doesnt work at all on the second page
using the pop up menu that are duplicated into all the pages from
the template.
any ideas?? help!!

Well, I found a coworker with CS4 and the popup menu editor appears to work. Further confirming that this may be a bug.

Using variable in the Like Search

I am having some trouble in writing the query for the below requirement.
I have a variable @LineName whose value is 'WEP3' and the datatype is varchar(50).
I have a table called CacheStore which has the below columns

Now I want to know the search words which are similar to @LineName value. In the output, When I write a query I just want to see
ID               SearchWord

The bottom line is I want to get the records from CacheStore table which are similar to the @LineName value.

My iphone4 no longer shows my music files?? They don't appear in iTunes either but my music is still there as 1) the 'summary' shows 28gigs

My iPhone is driving me insane! It started having problems synching the phone to iTunes (basically, iTunes was saying that it couldnt recognize the phone). After hours and hours trying to resolve the issue I found some advice on the internet. I downloaded iPhone Explorer and deleted a couple of files as suggested & this resolved the problem. The phone started to synch again and updated the phone with the latest software. However, the 'Summary' was showing all my music/video files as 'Other'.
I've since synched the phone & the problem is now even worse!!! My iPhone no longer shows any music/videos, even when I connect to iTunes! However, the summary still shows a capacity of 28 gigs so the music files are still in the phone?!? Likewise, I've checked the phone files using iPhone Explorer & the music files are still in the phone?!?
Does anybody have any idea how to fix this problem. I've only got half of music library backed up so dont want to restore as I'll lose half of my music library!

I'm happy to totally restore the phone.......once I have completely backed up my music files! I can't back up in the normal way as the music files are not recognized in the iPhone or iTunes.
The original problem occurred as a result of a corrupted synch. This seems to be a problem a LOT of people have had (based on all the Internet research I've done). I did everything suggested (uninstall/reinstall iTunes, update iTunes, reset iPhone, use a different USB port, use a different connection cable, update drivers, restart computer with iPhone connected......and nothing worked!!!). Having spent days and days looking for an answer I eventually found a solution that was supposed to work. It was suggested that I download the 'iPhone Explorer' software and delete a couple of directory files which I did. This partially resolved the issue, iTunes recognized the iPhone and updated the iOS software.
Quite simply, the music media files are still in the iPhone, it just doesn't recognise which directory the music cache is in. I need to either:-
* figure out how to get the iPhone to find the correct directory again or:
* figure out how to extract the remaining music files to create a complete back up and then restore the iPhone

Macbook pro 17 [early 2009] information

Hi everyone,
I'm about to buy a Macbook Pro 17" but before buying it I would like to have my information confirmed, so I'll summarize it (this will also help everyone who wants to buy a Macbook Pro 17" too).
I'm aware that the problems I'll speak about are not happening on all sold MBP but only on few of them and that many MBP have no problem at all.
Here is the list of the problems and qualities I read about.
Let's begin by the problems (I always prefer to finish by something good )
1°) screen is dimmer and seems to have too much blue.
=> the problem seems to be due to a software problem which happens when using a UMBP 15" build or settings on a 17" and doesn't seem to appear on provided build.
2°) The screen flickers when on battery with low brightness.
=> seems to appear most of the time when battery is under 15% with the 9400
3°) red or green lines on the screen (often on gaming)
=> seems to be a heat problem (partially resolved when forcing fans to rotate at high speed). I think that newly produced MBP haven't the problem (still to confirm).
4°) battery doesn't last 8hours
=> the battery use depending on what you do on the laptop, you will get the 8hours provided only by surfing on the web on HTML/CSS pages with half brightness. Otherwise you won't have them but the battery will still be good.
I think these are the main possible hardware problems (won't speak about the problems I've seen only once) so let's speak about qualities.
1°) Screen seems to be quite good. Some image professionnals said they were nearly able to work on it (remember that photographs hate punchy colours because the printers have paler colours) when they had anti glare option. Glossy screen seems to be good too.
2°) It has a anti glare option.
3°) The performance seems good.
4°) seems silent when not using GPU too much
5°) glossy screen don't seem to disturb many people, it's just a matter of moving the screen from few centimeters.
5°)And of course it runs MacOS
remarks : mini display adapters and remote are not bundled anymore. You'll have to buy them when purchasing your laptop.
The anti glare bezel is an aluminium one.

I think I've summarized all the useful things I read, do not hesitate to complete if needed.
Now I have some questions. I don't really trust photo to render brightness but do not hesitate to post some.
I'm able to see a UMBP 15" and a MBP 17" matte finish with X1600 to compare, I also own a T60P.
This will be my first apple so I've another question, I read that apple will refund without any question if you return it within the 14 days, is that true (I'm in France)?

I have just written this quick post to comment on your question of case quality as compared to the ThinkPad T60.
I had used ThinkPads for over 10-years, and I had been an Advisory Member of Lenovo's Product forums.
Ever since Lenovo had dropped the magnesium exterior of the T40 series for the plastic exterior of the T60 and T500 series, ThinkPad case quality has become horrible. Yes, the new ThinkPads have an internal roll cage, but that does not help. The plastic still cracks, the keyboard still flexes, and the screen still bends. These issues have been widely reported at Lenovo's forums.
I had moved to MacBook Pros because they are the best-built notebooks on the market today. They are far more durable than any ThinkPad. The anodized aluminum is a far superior notebook casing than anything that has been offered by Lenovo. The precision aluminum unibody enclosure makes the MacBook Pro even stronger.
MacBook Pros have no cracking issues, no keyboard flex, and no screen bending issues. Yes, there have been a few reports, but every company has its' lemons.
Should you have any case issues, Apple will fix or replace it quickly, where as Lenovo will take months.

Gateway service not shown in Service Catalog

I successfully created my first Service using service builder in gateway, and values are also shown in the browser. But when creating a new starter application project in Eclipse , the service is not shown in the service catalog.
Why does this happen ?

Hi , this partially resolved the issue. to generate the project using GWPA.
But when running the project (UI5 , a starter application project) an error occured as in screenshot.
But data is coming in browser
Debugging the error Logs in IWFND/ERROR_LOGS found
system alias does not exist and
Missing customizing; contact your system administrator.
I had checked various SCN blogs on same Error , but could nt get much information. ( Data is coming in browser , but cannot connect from my application)

Special characters in text represented as squares in some applications

Some webpages I go to seem to have blank square characters in the text where there should be a special character. Curious, I went ahead and opened a binary file in my text editor, KWrite. I expected to see special characters making up most of the garbage text, but instead I got blank squares in their place, along with ASCII characters.
The special text characters I'm talking about are most of the time not even Unicode ones. These are characters that can be typed when, on Windows, you'd hold down ALT and punch in a four digit number, or if on Mac, hold down the ALT key and type a character (ie. the trademark symbol, euro currency symbol, cent symbol, etc)
There's likely something in the wiki about solving this problem, but I haven't found any answers. On a hunch, I did install the ttf-arphic-uming and ttf-dejavu packages which managed to partially resolve the problem, so I'm guessing this is a font problem, or lack of a font set, rather. Other than those 2 additional font packages, I've only got the font packages gsfonts, ttf-bitstream-vera, and xorg-fonts-{alias,encodings,misc} installed.

We have a requirement where users need to enter 3 Key figure values for 3 periods against 0MATERIAL. The layout should show as follows:

Planning level contains, 0MATERIAL, 0FISCPER3 and the three Key figures. In the manual planning layout, I have selected "Key Figures in Lead Column" with 0MATERIAL in the lead column and 0FISCPER3 in the data column. In the additional settings, I have chosen "From Transaction Data" and "Lead Columns Dynamic for" 0MATERIAL - Text Replacement "Key". In the next step, I have entered the three key figures and checked the "Dynamic" checkbox. In the data columns I have selected the required 0FISCPER3. Executing this layout is resulting in a dump with the "MESSAGE_TYPE_X" C "SAPLUPP_PLAN" or "LUPP_PLANU05" "UPP_PLAN_COMPLETE_LAYOUT" and "layout_Corrupt". What am I doing wrong here?

Partially resolved. It looks like I need to restrict 0MATERIAL in the planning level if I use "Dynamic" option!! I have used the ROOT node of the hierarchy on 0MATERIAL in the planning level and I am able to open the template. BUT THE MAIN PROBLEM IS STILL UNRESOLVED. I want the layout to show

IOS 7 iMessage bug

I have had several problems with sending pictures via iMessage since updating to iOS 7.
The first problem is when I am on a wifi network, and talking on the phone. iOS has essentially refused to send pictures/images over iMessage in this scenerio. This problem has been partially resolved in the iOS 7.1 update. Now, if I choose the "camera button" next to the text box from within the conversation, all goes as expected over iMessage. If I choose the picture I want to send from "Pictures" and select "send as... message" Then select the recipients name, the picture will be sent as a text message. Once I am no longer talking on the phone, iMessage will resume sending as normal from either location. Again this happens when I am connected to wifi so this is not a LTE/4G/EDGE switching issue.
The second problem I have is that sometimes pictures will just plain not send when choosing the picture I want to send from "Pictures" and select "send as... message". When this happens it causes my phone to temporarily freeze for a few moments. Then the phone proceeds as if it had sent the message. However upon checking the conversation, it becoems clear that the message never sent or was never "added to" the conversation. This happens at random and usually restarting my phone will resolve the problem temporarily. Sending pictures seems to only consistently work when attaching them from within the conversation itself.
It should also be noted that the "send as..." feature only breaks down with sending iMessages/text messages. "send as... email" works flawlessly every time.
Anyway of the many numerious bugs I have encountered in iOS 7 this one is by far the most obnoxious that I have encountered. I was hoping it would be resolved in the iOS 7.1 update but it looks like maybe I set the expectation bar too high for this incrimental update.
My hardware is an iPhone 5.
I asked the guys at the Apple store about it and they gave me the usual propaganda induced response that they are required to give. "We never heard of that. iOS is perfect *big toothy grin* "
I plan to try a clean install of iOS to see if it resolves the problem (not restoring from backup), but that is a time consuming process and I don't have the time for that right now.
iOS 7 has been somewhat of a disapointemnt. I still can't wrap my head around how simply changing the look and feel of iOS would require Apples developers to break half of the features that worked flawlessly in iOS 6.

I started having this issue about a month ago. Exactly as you described: especially when a text has an attached photo. Sometimes it is sent as a text message (green), sometimes it will fail completely. FYI, upgrading to 7.1 didn't fix the issue. Another observation is that if it is sent as a text message (without a failure), the recepient receives it but it either takes a while for them to see it, or it doesn't notify them. I had a few friends saying that they didn't even know they got the message until they intentionally went back to our thread and noticed it was sitting there for a while as green but they didn't hear it coming through. So i think on their end it's the same. it attempts to receive and when it finally does, its makes that quite sound like the one when you are actively on the screen, but not the usual tri-tone.
Both receivers confirmed multiple times that they were home or some other place where they are certain to have at least 4G or LTE. So it has to be the bug in the system, and not my or the recepients settings.
