E_LIC_ALREADY_FULFILLED_BY_ANOTHER_USER

I had a crash and had to reinstall my Digital Editions.  I have downloaded all my books from my kobo account, but editions will not accept them.
Looking on the website, it says to contact the book seller to ask them to reset the license.  So I contacted Kobo support and they have said they
have no control over the license.  So I deleted my authorization on Editions and to put it back it shows the ebook vendor and mine is Adobe ID.
So who do I have to contact to get the license reset?  I had one computer with the authorization and another without.

Hi Jim,
Now something wrong happened with my adobe account. I could not login. I tried to recover my password, the recovery via e-mail works fine, I got letter to my google mail, followed all intructions, but in the end I still could not login:
"Adobe ID and password do not match. Verify your information and try again.
Otherwise, try using the email address and password used when you created your Adobe ID. If the problem persists, check the FAQ for help."
Also I could not authorize my ADE:
"Incorrect username or password
E_AUTH_FAILED http://adeactivate.adobe.com/adept/SignInDirect [email protected]"
Any idea how that could happened?

Anatoly

    Hi Shreya,
That answer seems to work in purchased books but in my case I dont know who is the ebook provider in lebrary.  I asked library people and they did not give me any contact to reset the activation.  I will try again to find out that contact. I was wondering if there is any way at our side so we can fix this.  Probably there is nothing. Thanks anyway.

  • How do I resolve this Adobe error on E_LIC_ALREADY_FULFILLED_BY_ANOTHER_USER on MAC 10.9.5

I've already tried de-authorzing, re-authorzing, tried ADE 4.0 and 2.0.  Nothing works.  I need someone from Adobe to resolve this license issue.
    Thanks

Same problem here.  Individually loaded my ebooks to my Adobe Editions.  The last 4 books won't download. Says:  E-lic_already_fulfilled_by_another_user.

  • E_LIC_ALREADY_FULFILLED_BY_ANOTHER_USER  Partially resolved

I want to thank the Adobe people for the halp with my problem, although they did not let me know it had been done.
Since I was having this problem and my ebook seller on my Adobe ID is Adobe ID, they had to reset the licenses
for the books so I could download them again.  This has partially fixed my problem. On my laptop, I did not think
(senior moment) to use my existing Adobe ID, I just didn't authorize the computer.  I downloaded all the books and
it worked fine, but I have some books that I can not access again to complete my collection of purchases.  The
    books in question are:
    At Grave’s End Jeaniene Frost
    Touched Allegra Skye
    Vowed Morgan Rice
    Betrothed Morgan Rice
One Grave at a Time Jeaniene Frost
If you can reset the license on these then I can complete my series.
    Thank you.

  • "Error getting license. License server communication problem: E_LIC_ALREADY_FULFILLED_BY_ANOTHER_USE

I've also had problems with this.  I was on the chat line about
5 different times trying to figure it out, but Adobe chat is worthless. If they can't fix it my using their script notes, they refer you right back to the
begining.  Ater trying several times, I found out that Adobe had downloaded the ADE using an old sign on email address that had nothing to do with my nook.
I continued (silly me) to try to unload & then download the software, changed my email address on Adobe & my Nook and it still doesn't work.
They opened up a tech ticket because I couldn't close out the session and sign back in- I figured it out because the chat line was still open & as soon as I
logged completely out and back in, I went right back in correctly.  I'm about ready to write the CEO with how incompetant their customer service is (from a 34d world country?) but it probably won't do any good.
I think my next try will be on our desktop with has Windows 7- my laptop has XP.
I've asked the Library if they could help me & tonight they gave me the directions I had gotten the first time.  This is the only reason I bought a Nook was so that I could download free books to read.  I'm about ready to turn it in & get a Kindle. I understand they are catching up with Nook in the amount of books they are getting and they're the same prices.
Any help you can offer me, I'd appriciate.

Frustrating as it may be, this topic has generated a large volume of posts
on the forum.  If you look at them, you might find an answer for your
    situation.
But to be frank, Adobe does a poor job of telling the user what's wrong.
And, since the design of the software predates Windows 7, some issues were
not covered, such as security settings for Windows 7 and the 'hidden'
rejections you can get when you think your system is set up correctly.  As
you can see from my avatar name, I am frustrated with the situation as well.
If I try to answer your question (which may have been answered by other
earlier posts), I need to know a couple of things about your situation,
because the details make all the difference.  Here's what I'd suggest you
    do first:
Scan or search the forum for the same error....  Then, scan the forum for
Windows 7 issues because they address questions concerning establishing
communications between ADE and the outside world.  Finally, remember that
it's important to make sure your user ID's are synchronized between your
source and ADE (which is probably the number one reason you get the
'license fulfilled by another user' message.  If you've changed email
addresses, or used a different user ID when you set up your ebook source
account, then ADE will not be able to give you access to your ebooks
    now....
This is not the best of worlds.  ADE and all other software labor under
rules built to conform to the requirements of the Digital Millenium
Copyright Act of 2000.  That Act limits sharing of ematerial between
different users, and it gives publishers and distributors the ability to
restrict your access to the materials.  Since ADE is the 'messenger',
people want to shoot IT.  We should have a method where we can adjust
permissions based on changes in the externals surrounding the material -
say when you change your email account - so that we can continue to access
    material that we've obtained before.

  • License server communication problem: E_LIC_ALREADY_FULFILLED_BY_ANOTHER_USER

Does anyone seem to know how to fix this error

If you originally loaded the book when you were running ADE without ID, and have now registered an ID, you are probably stuck.
This is a vicious trap that Adobe lays for unsuspecting customers.
When you register 'without ID', ADE creates an anonymous/implicit ID with limited powers (eg can't be used to share with other devices).
Whenever you first load a DRM book, that copy of the book is associated with whatever ID the computer is registered to at the time.
Any book you load while this anonymous ID is active gets associated with that ID, and can't be read on any other device.
When you properly register your computer with a real ID, that old anonymous ID is lost.
Now you don't have any devices that can read the book.

  • Adobe Digital Editions Quit Unexpectedly

    Hi there,
I can't open my book from Abode Digital Editions. When I go to Adobe Digital Additions Library and click on the book I purchased, a box pops up saying, "Adobe Digital Editions quit unexpectedly. Click Reopen to open the application again. This report will be sent to Apple automatically." Then when I click on the "Reopen" button, I am automatically taken back to the Adobe Digital Editions Library where the cycle repeats itself. I have seen multiple reports of this same issue from other users in this form. I have called Adobe for support and can't seem to find an answer so far. I would LOVE to have this sorted out so I can use my Kobo and read the books I have purchased. Anyone out there in internet land who can help me, I would appreciate this sooooooo much.
    Thank you!

Same problem here.  I downloaded and installed ADE 4.0.3 just to check out a library e-book using DRM on my Mac OS X Yosemite.  ADE crashed every time I attempted to open that book with a memory address exception.  I had no problems opening the default book that comes with the reader though.  Looked at iTunes reviews of ADE and Mac users have been complaining about this serious bug since February!  What a major fail by Adobe.
I took the suggestion in this thread of downgrading to ADE 3.0.  I still had the library's e-book in my library but was now getting a E_ACT_NOT_READY error each time I tried to open it.  After some googling, I figured out I needed to reset my authorization token by doing Command-Shift-D.  But after regenerating my authorization token, I got a E_LIC_ALREADY_FULFILLED_BY_ANOTHER_USER error.  Now I think I need to get the library to reset the authorization token for the book since my token has changed.  I dropped them a note informing them Adobe Digital Editions 4.0.3 doesn't work on Yosemite and asked them to reset the authorization.  I've removed the book from my ADE library and will hopefully be able to download and start reading it next week.

  • Can't get library ebooks to load to ADE on Mac

My wife has a Nook and I downloaded ADE to our Mac so she can download library books. Originally I thought it didn't matter what Adobe ID was used to set up ADE on the Mac. I found out it does with the Nook. The library book downloaded to ADE but it would not transfer to the Nook. So I deleted ADE and had my wife set up an Adobe ID. Then reinstalled ADE and Authorized using my wife's Adobe ID. Then we tried downloading the library book again but ADE would not accept the book. Fast forward to today when we tried again.
    1. When ADE comes up on the Mac the following dialog box appears with this message—One or more downloads are not finished. Do you want to resume pending tasks? Cancel or OK
    2. When clicking OK another dialog box comes up with this message—Error getting license. License server communication problem. E_LIC_ALREADY_FULFILLED_BY_ANOTHER_USER.
    3. When I click OK the dialog box disappears.
I have tried dragging the book from the download folder to ADE and it bounces back every time. So there is some incompatibility going on some where. Are there any ideas what I should do?
    Johnboy5010
PS. I clicked on cancel in the first dialog box and it doesn't show again but the book still will not drag and drop into ADE.

I dug around the Adobe website and found some release notes for ADE 1.7.2. In the notes it stated that Safari needed to be able to recognize the .acsm file. The automatic recognition had been removed in Safari, and the notes gave a link to a blog. In the blog discussion it had a sample file to add to the User/Library/Preferences. I downloaded that file, opened it, and added the .ascm to the list. I went back and downloaded yet another copy of the library ebook. With ADE open on the iMac I just clicked once on on the book in the download folder and it zapped into the ADE app. So I immediately got my wife's Nook and successfully transfered the file. So once I wiped more blood from my eyes from having beaten my head on that brick wall, I double click on a file of the book on my desktop. It too went into ADE. (I deleted that copy.) So apparently just clicking or double clicking the file after downloading will put it into ADE. Someone pass the bandaid box please.

but it still no songs appear on my ipod.
    Hi,
    Welcome to Apple Discussions
    Symptom
One or more of the following occurs:
