E-mail bounce in sap system.
We are trying to send an e-mail from my personal address (abc.) to the e-mail address xyz. This last e-mail addressed is connected to the mailreceiveplsapcp400.hs.emeadc.lighting.abc. e-mail address. Which will be delivered at the CP4(production) system.
However this mail is being bounced.
After checking the system we've found out that the connection from the mail server to the CP4 is working fine. However the mail does still not receive *in SAP.* Can you please check this issue. Maybe within SAP, maybe on unix mail-agents which are not running fine, or port-binding which is not correct.
I have checked following setings
1) <Scot> -- every think green (ok)
2) ping mailreceiveplsapcp400.hs.emeadc.lighting.abc. (ok)
3) <sm37> -- SAPCONNECT ALL SEND(Finished)
NOTE : we can send mail from sap to xxx ,but not recieve in sap
is it require more settings for receiving mail in sap if plsss help me.

Sending e-mails between different SAP-Systems with SMTP
Hello,
I want to send e-mails between two different internal SAP-Systems. I already configured SMTP in both systems but ist not possible to send an e-mail from system A to system B. I've got following error message:
Cannot process message; no node determined for <sapuser>:
Thanks in advance & best regards,
ChristophHi Christoph,
but it is possible that the email for user from System B is also available in the system itself(transaction so01) and not only in his outlook inbox?
As the email is sent from System A. It will be available under SOST of system A.
As user in System B is receiving the email, it will be appearing in users inbox.
Check with Mail server administrator on where to enable SMTP relaying for IP address of SAP server.
Hope this helps.

E mail facility in SAP system.
Hi friends,
Can anybody will help me regarding e mail facility available in SAP.
And how to it active or implement?
For example - When the material receives at gate the 103 movement done, now as soon as 103 movement entered immedeate ( automatic) that mail should generate and send it to respective buyre to his e mail address.Like purchase order / schedule line this facility is available.
thanks in advance
hemantThere is no std functionality is availabe but you can do the work around as follows
MAke the reason for movement is required entry for movement type 103 in MIGO and define the reason for movement in OMBS (Tcode) then assign that in GR for 103 and run the report MBGR.
If you want to see immidiate then you can setup this program in background run for every 5 minutes for that user so he/she will come to know whenever the movements happen.
Or use the Early warning system to echeive the above solution
Hope this will help you -

<b>Settings for sending mail</b>
Configuring SAP 4.6x Internet mail Gateway
SAP can be configured to send and receive emails from different sources. This section explains how to integrate SAPOffice with an external emailsystem. Your Internet email must be configured and running prior to this.Email from SAP is forwarded to the users external email system..
You can configure inbound and outbound forwarding. Outbound flow forwardsa SAP message (eg: update termination) via UNIX sendmail to the intended recepient. Inbound accepts a message from sendmail and places it in the users SAPOffice inbox. Many companies prefer to configure outbound only.
Configuring outbound forwarding

Problems that you might encounter :-
If you have set up a node in SCOT and it tests out well but recieve the reply.
"Cannot process message in node, parameterscannot be converted".
Make sure the RFC connection is working, and that SapConnect has been installed on the Unix Server or the Microsoft Exchange Server. Originally, I had the same error, and found that nothing had been installed on Unixor Exchange, to support SapConnect.
In SCOT (View -> System Status), your mail remains at the Intransit column.
Check you sendmail.cf files (e.g.Sun Solaris /etc/mail/sendmail.cf). Try using the sendmail command to send a test file at the Unix level. You must be able to send mail at theUnix level before you can send mail at the SAP level.

E-mail bounce For system.
We are trying to send an e-mail from my personal address the e-mail address (XXXX). This last e-mail addressed is connected to the (XXXX) e-mail address. Which will be delivered at the CP4 system.
However this mail is being bounced.
After checking the system we've found out that the connection from the mail server to the CP4 is working fine. However the mail does still not receive in SAP. Can you please check this issue. Maybe within SAP, maybe on unix mail-agents which are not running fine, or port-binding which is not correct.
I have checked
(1) <sm37> : SEND SAPCONNECT INT >>> suuccesfully.
(2) ,scot> : every thing is ok (green)
(3) <sost> : erroe >> Cannot process message in SAP System , long text >> No ESMTP Plug-In Is Available for SAPconnect
Application Server Used by the Send Process:
plsapcp401
As per sap note this parameter rdisp/start_icman = true
(4) <rz11> rdisp/start_icman = true
(5)from os level >> ping mail host mail port >> its pinging

Edited by: mohsin mulani on Sep 23, 2008 5:39 AMHi mohsin,
Check in SMICM that the ICM is actually up and running. Some times it doesnt start automatically. Then check if you have configured the SMTP service in SMICM -> Goto -> Services and there should be an entry for SMTP.
If not you will need to create one in SMICM (455140 gives the RZ10 instance parameters).
Hope this helps

Get an E-Mail-Notification if there is a alert for a SAP-System in DSWP
Hello,
how can i get an E-Mail-Notification when there is a alert in a SAP-System?
I know that alerts are shown in the transaction dswp under System Monitoring but exists a alternative to get these alerts via E-Mail?
In the transaction rz21 autoreactions can be defined for single MTE classes - but i search for a more generally method to get all in DSWP reported alerts via E-Mail.
Best Regards
Torsten UrbanHello All,
You can get EWA reports thru mail.
Selection the solution for which you want the reports thru mail in DSWP tcode.
Then Edit>Automatic Email transmission>create Email recipeint.
Hope this solves your query.

SCOT - How to send a mail from mail server to a SAP system
Dear SAP colleagues,
With SCOT you can configure the SAPConnect administration.
You can easily configure your SAP system to allow the send of email from SAP to your mail server.
Exemple :
1. SID SAP : DL1
2. Mail server : sn1exch.lec.local
3. Target email : "myeamailaddress"
Send email process 01 : 1. DL1 ==> 2. Mail Server ==> 3. You read your email in your inbox "myeamailaddress"
My problem :
From my inbox "myeamailaddress", I want to be able to send email to SAP (Dl1).
Send email process 02 : 1. My inbox "myeamailaddress" ==> 2. Mail Server ==> 3. SAP (DL1).
Question :
Do you have any help to configure it ?
Thanks in advance for your input.
Best regards
NetWeavAdminDear Olivier,
I do not have a specifi technical problem.
Let's summarize - my request concerns a SRM Workflow :
I am ordering an article. When the order is higher than 2'000 USD, I need to get the approval of my manager.
That's the workflow.
Workflow :
1. I am user in DL1 SAP System.
UserName : CharlesN
In SU01,
charles(a)green.com
2. From DL1 SAP system, I order articles. The order total amount is higher than 2'000 USD.
In the workflow, an mail from DL1 is automatically send to my manager in his MS-Outook inbox.
(manager(a)green.com)
3. My manager reads the mail I have sent him and give his approvals by clicking on a approvals button.
When clicking the button, an mail must be automatically send from my manager MS-Outlook inbox
to DL1 to CharlesN inbox in SBWP in DL1 SAP system.
I have configured SCOT and read OSS Note 455140.
The SAPconnect virtual host is activated in DL1 (SICF).
I think a miss a step in our mail server to relay a mail from MS-Outlook to my SAP system.
Any suggestion is welcome.

User couldn't recieve the mail from SAP SYSTEM
Hi all experts,
User couldn't recieve the mail from SAP SYSTEM since the Unicode changes were pushed ,
how to fix the issue ?
Thanks & Best regards,
MichaelHi Michael,
Is the SAPConnect configured as per note [455140|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/455140] ?
Since you are talking about receiving emails, do you see the emails in SOIN transaction (or report RSBCSIN)? Have you tried telnet directly to the SAPConnect plugin as described on note [607108|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/607108]
What is the value of parameter is/SMTP/virt_host_<*>?

How to check received mails in SAP system
Hi Experts,
I have a requirement where I need to send an email from Outlook to SAP system using SMTP.
All the SMTP configurations and settings have been done.
I had a query that how do I check that the mail is recieved in the SAP system.
Like we have Utilities - Overview of send orders to check the mails sent from the SAP system, do we have some place to check the receiving mails also?
I came to know about a SOOD table, but no entry is been made in it when I test sending mail.
Any help would be highly appreciated
Regards,
SaumyaHi Saumya,
You can try this just to see if your CRM is receiving emails.
Go to t-code SCOT and then Utilities->Trace Settings. Activate the trace for inbox.
Then send an email to your CRM system.
Wait a few seconds and then go to SCOT again, and then Utilities->Trace Selection.
Check if an entry corresponding to your email was created.
If not, maybe some configuration is missing. I've always worked in a Interaction Center scenario, with ERMS integration. For that, the configurations steps need were:
- Activated the workflow
- Configurate t-code SO28 to generate the ERMS object
- Used ERMS rule modeler to route my emails to an organization ID
- Activated service SAPCONNECT (with an user associated for authorization)
Hope that this may help you to go a little trough.
Kind regards. -
Hi Experts,
I have a requirement where I need to send an email from Outlook to SAP system using SMTP.
All the SMTP configurations and settings have been done.
But when I send a mail from Outlook to SAP, it is not getting displayed in SOIN. I have waited for 1 hr taking in considerations slow network connectivity to check in SOIN.
I have checked the settings in RZ10 for instance profile. I am using port 25 and virtual host 0 for connectivity.
Please let me know where I might be lacking in doing the settings.

Sending mail to Internet address from SAP system
Hi...
My requirement is to send a mail to an internet address say ABC@companyid from SAP.
I have used a FM So_New_Document_Send_API1 for the purpose. For this I have provided
e_mailrec-receiver = w_emailid.
e_mailrec-rec_type = 'U'.
APPEND e_mailrec.
But I get an error msg in SOST, that the route from (SAP server) to (mail id) not found.
Instead of internet address when I give rec_type as B i.e. SAP USER it sends a mail to my SAP inbox.
I have also checked SAPConnect, and it is fine.
Is the above FM only for sending mails to SAP id, then wats the FM for sending mails to internet address? Its just sending a 1 line mail without attachment.
P.S: I have gone through search in sdn so please don't provide me with links to other threads.
Reply only if you can actually help and know wats this about.
Thnaks and Regards. These are the FM for sending external email :-
SO_DOCUMENT_SEND_API1
Send new document with attachments via RFC
SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1
(In 4.6C only, You can go to SE37 and click the documentation on how to use it. A sample program is provided there.)
