E-Mail contents of a folder to external email

Hi,
I am a FICO chap so a bit lost here but I have been asked if the following is possible.
When a user rejects a workflow item a mesage is sent to a Reject Folder. This works OK,
However is it possible to automatically send an email to an outlook account every time a new item is sent to this folder?

Are you using a smarthost? maybe you can test it to deliver mail trough DNS instead of a Smarthost.

How do I save my mail .pst files to the hard drive as entire folder or multiple emails at a time?

I've been saving mail in .pst folders in the mail program and now want to simplfy the transfer to hard disk files. When I use the "achive mail" it creates an "mbox" file I cannot open. Using "save as" from the edit drop down menu only allows for one file at a time. Is there a way to save folders or the entire mail contents of a folder in one step?

As far as the collected addresses, look at Preferences -> Composition -> Addressing and either uncheck 'Automatically add outgoing e-mail addresses to my ...' or change the choice to your personal address book.
For backup, you have several options:
(a) you can manually export the address book to a file (use LDIF instead of CSV, as it is much easier to import later if needed).
(b) you can have your OS do periodic backups.
(c) if you have a gmail account, you can use an add-on to TB called gContactSync which will automatically sync your address book to your gmail address book.
I use both (b) and (c).
Once you deleted the Collected Addresses, did the problem with the quote mark go away?

U have to take the help of your ABAPr he will write a program which will schedule every day in specific time that program will compare the expiry of probation date with system date and if it is one day less then mail will trigger.

New Lightroom catalog always selects and includes some files from folder Applications/Mail/Contents/Resources. Why? Mac Mini OS X 10.10.1. Lightroom 5.7

Whenever I create a new catalog, Lightroom selects and includes some, but not all, TIFF files from the folder Applications/Mail/Contents/Resources. Why does it do this: I don't select this folder to be included. Mac mini OS X 10.10.1. Lightroom 5.7.

There appear to be big problems with Mavericks Mail, particularly if it's used for Gmail. Have other users noticed that it slows to a crawl and can't reload the contents of a folder instantly....Is there a fix coming?

There is a large thread relating to Gmail, but nothing that sounds like that.
Nobody here knows what Apple is going to do.
You might try removing the Gmail account and then add it back in.

I've scoured the forum, but couldn't find an answer to my pb.
After a series of crashes (that I couldn't explain), my "sent" folder cannot reconnect with its source folder in ~/Library/Mail.
This is probably because I trashed the preferences folder (including the Mail plist) to troubleshoot the crashes, which worked.
Within Mail clicking on any message in the "sent" folder gives this mesasage:
The message from xxxx <[email protected]> concerning “Carnival2: script” has not been downloaded from the server. You need to take this account online in order to download it.
1-Is there a way to force the Mail app to repair the lost link to the "source" "sent" folder (in Library)?
2-How does one force-download the sent messages from one's web host's servers?

You haven’t answered what type of mail account is this (POP, IMAP, .Mac)...
Report the names of the files and folders present at the first level of the ~/Library/Mail/ folder in the Finder.
In order to post the exact file names and avoid typing mistakes, proceed as follows. In the Finder, go to ~/Library/Mail/. With that folder open, if you’re looking at it in View > as List mode, first collapse any expanded folders so that the Finder only shows the files and folders at the first level of ~/Library/Mail/. Now, do Edit > Select All (⌘A), then Edit > Copy (⌘C), and paste it in your reply to this post.
Before actually posting that information, edit it so that the file/folder names do not reveal any details you should keep private, e.g. replace any real username with “username” to hide your real email address. Try to be consistent in how you disguise those details, though, as we may need to refer to them in subsequent posts.
Note: For those not familiarized with the ~/ notation, it refers to the user’s home folder, i.e. ~/Library is the Library folder within the user’s home folder.

Contents in Documents Folder Suddenly Empty

I'm a single user and I found that today my contents in documents folder suddenly empty. I also noticed that my free space doesn't have any change (the documents folder contents contain of thousands SVG, Ai, EPS, PSD, PNG, JPG, files). Unfortunately I don't have time machine, I just bought this mac for about three months ago. This is so frustrating.
I tried to:
-check my trash bin, nothing found
-search my files over spotlight and finder, nothing found
-restart my mac, nothing happened
-verify disk permissions, found one invalid permissions, fixed
-verify disk, no problems found
I tried another solutions:

Tried recover through diskdrill (both quick scan and deep scan)

There is not malware involved. It's extremely unlikely that you would have any Mac malware, though the scan may well turn up some Windows malware attached to e-mail messages or something similar.
As to what the problem is, that's hard to say. One possibility is that you have somehow accidentally moved them to a different folder. Since Spotlight does not search everywhere and could be handicapped if something is wrong with the search indices, try searching for one file whose name you know with certainty using EasyFind.
Unfortunately, whatever may have happened, if those files can no longer be found on your hard drive and cannot be found by data recovery tools, they are gone for good since you don't have any backups.

Valid mail goes to Junk folder

Apple's Mail has developed a serious flaw with Junk Mail filtering for
.Mac addresses ([email protected]). When Junk Mail filtering is enabled with
Junk Mail being automatically moved to the Junk Mail folder, messages
addressed to the old .Mac addresses ([email protected]) are being
automatically routed to the Junk mail folder without being marked as
spam or coloured brown, despite sender being in the Address Book or in
Previous Recipients. This does not happen to mail addressed to MobileMe
(i.e. [email protected]).
When MobileMe was introduced Apple assured the users of the old .Mac
service that nothing would change. This does not appear to be the case.
Yes we still get our mail addressed to the old .Mac address but it is
treated as spam., though not identified as such. There is no way to
change it to not spam as it is not marked as spam. It just ends up in
the Junk folder.
This is particularly annoying on an iPhone. When you go to read a new
message in the In box, it will suddenly disappear because it's been
filtered to the Junk folder.
Both my .Mac address and my MobileMe version of my address are in my
Address Book. I have reset my Junk Mail a number of times now both on
MobileMe website and in Mail and yet this problem still persists despite
assistance from MobileMe customer service.
Is there a solution to this problem?

I have looked at Mail's help menu briefly. You can 'teach' Mail what is/is not junk mail. Here's the help topic that could help:
"Marking messages as junk or not junk
Mail can analyze the content of incoming messages and identify which ones are likely to be junk mail. It highlights these messages in color (by default, in brown) in your Inbox.
If you receive messages that have been highlighted as junk, or messages that are junk but weren’t highlighted, you can mark the messages as not junk or junk. When you mark messages, Mail updates the junk mail database accordingly. Over time, Mail will identify junk mail more accurately.
To mark messages as junk or not junk:
To identify one or more messages in your Inbox as junk mail, select the messages and then click Junk in the toolbar, or choose Message > Mark > As Junk Mail.
To correct one or more messages that have been misclassified as junk and moved to the Junk mailbox, select the messages and click Not Junk in the toolbar, or choose Message > Mark > As Not Junk Mail."
While this doesn't explain fully why the filter isn't working for you as you had hoped it might enable you to get it working as you want - hopefully learning over a short period of time. I still think you should communicate the problem to Apple so that their techs can try to replicate and resolve the problem.
William, I'm somewhat disappointed with your obtuse replies, though I think I understand that you are saying it could be some issue with the specific settings Vince uses or perhaps some other software conflict.

Alert content in the external email sent

Hi,
I have two requirements related to Alert Monitor.
1. We want to send the Alerts generated to group of external email IDs - How to configure that? Currently we are able to send the email to only one email ID only.
2. Also the content of the Alert sent in the email is not as required. We want the Alert email sent to external email ID should look like or contain the information as close as in the Alert seen in the Alert monitor. We want to include the info like Product, Location, Order Number, Qty, and the Alert message.
Please let me know how to configure the above things.

I would reckon, this will be an enhancement of the existing functionality to send Alerts to multiple mail ids as standard SAP does not have that functionality.
I would like you to include the option of adding multiple mail ids while sending the Alerts. The data will be stored in Table: /SCMB/ANOTP, field: SMTP_ADDR.
Also, it would be advisable to schedule a background job and release it to run every 5 minutes for the program: RSCONN01 with Address Type as "*" and set the remaining parameters as per your requirements.

I have an ALV report, the output of which needs to be sent as an excel attachment to an external email id. Can I use SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1 in this case? What about the SAP Connect settings? Any documents/help files/code samples describing the same will be useful.

If you want to send the ALV output as it is then you need send it to Spool and then convert it to a PDF then send it via email as an attachment,
or else, if you want to send the data of the output you can send it by the final internal table i mean by using the final Internal table you can send the data by passing this final interanl table to <b>'SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1'</b>

Big Permissions Problem: "You Cannot Change The Contents Of This Folder"

I installed Tiger some time ago (and need to upgrade now from 10.4.6 to 10.4.9).
I haven't used it much since some of my software will only run under Panther.
In any case, I'm using it now and have been having big permissions/user accounts problems.
I have two users on the computer "robert" and "ra", both with admin privileges (I set up two because I was trying to get around these problems -- I'd be very happy with just one).
I have 10.4.6 installed on an external HD and boot from that into Tiger (I have Tiger on another external HD as a backup, and my main HD in the iMac has 10.3.9 -- that's what I boot from when I need to run older programs).
In any case, both "robert" and "ra" have ADMIN privileges. But I get weird ownership problems. For instance, if I am logged in as "ra" and try to play a Realplayer file streaming from the web (in Firefox 1.x), I get the error
/Users/robert/Desktop/307e6wz7 could not be saved, because you cannot change the contents of that folder.
I check the ownership of the "Desktop" folder -- read/write for "ra".
If I right-click I can save the Realplayer file to the desktop.
Same with other links.
I've also noticed other ownership problems (blocked folders at finder level) but can't duplicate tonight. Is this an obscure error, or is there something amiss in ownership recognition? Is there some way I can sort all out? Login in as "root" and set all right?

Yes they do. When you installed them you dragged these particular apps to the Applications folder. Doing so automatically attributes the program with the ownership attributes of the account owner who installed them - 'robert.'
Proper application installers install apps under the system/admin ownership. You can try to fix these apps by changing their permissions:
Select the app and CTRL-click to open the contextual menu. Choose Show Package Contents from the contextual menu. Select the Contents folder and press COMMAND-I to open the Get Info window. In the Ownership and Permissions section click on the tiny arrow icon to expose the panel. Click on the little lock icon to authenticate. Change permissions as follows:
Owner = system with Read/Write privileges
Group = admin with Read/Write privileges
Other with Read-Only privileges
Click on the Apply To Enclosed Items button. Close the lock by clicking again on the lock icon.

It sounds like you're trying to replace a home folder. Replace the contents of the folder instead, or use Migration Assistant.
