E-mail frozen on IPad Mini

E-mail app frozen on my IPad mini.  Happened after attempting to send file with large PPT attachment.  Tried re-booting.  Have a blank white screen.  All other apps working fine.  Any ideas?

Well, you come to me to report once again, I do not have a new ID, I do not use a password before you change etc.

Close the mail app and reset the iPad.
In order to close apps, you have to drag the app up from the multitasking display. Double tap the home button and you will see apps lined up going left to right across the screen. Swipe to get to the app that you want to close and then swipe "up" on the app preview thumbnail to close it.
Next, reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

    Hi
i want to install an mail Id on Ipad Mini other than yahoo an google but it is showing an error message about SSL could not connect. Please give me the solution on this.

    Hello there ypda75,
I have an article here that has a list of settings to get from your Email provider so you can make sure that the settings are correct. It has troubleshooting steps to try as well. Also I would recommend restarting the router, and/or testing a differnet network.
iOS: Unable to send or receive email
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ts3899.
If you are unable to send or receive email, try the following steps:
    Restart the iOS device.
Tap Safari and attempt to load a webpage to ensure that the device has Internet access. If you're unable to load a webpage, try the Wi-Fi assistant.
    Try an alternative Internet connection.
If your email is provided by your Internet provider, try connecting from the home network.
If your iOS device has an active cellular data plan, try to disable Wi-Fi:  Tap Settings > Wi-Fi and turn off Wi-Fi.
If not, try a different Wi-Fi network.
Log in to your email provider's website to ensure that the account is active and the password is correct.
Delete the account from Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars and then add the email account again on the iOS device.
If you're still unable to send or receive email, contact your email provider and verify the account settings are correct. You will need to gather this information (PDF).
    All the very best,
    Sterling

  • Yahoo mail issues on iPad mini and iPhone 5s/ iOS8?

Yahoo mail suddenly shows "no mail" in the inbox.  Using the Yahoo! SMTP Server on iPad mini w/Retina, iPhone 5S, both with iOS 8.  Tried rebooting, deleting and re-installing yahoo.  I can still send.  Yahoo mail on mac, mobile web, and yahoo downloadable app works.  I have resorted to downloading the Yahoo mobile app.  Any suggestions on getting the device mail to work again?

I have the same problem. At the bottom of the inbox window, it momentarily says "Downloading 1 of 250" then quickly changes to "Updated Just Now" without displaying any email. All other folders show mail!!! Only the inbox does not display email. I have also tried hard-resetting the iPhone.

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
Or this - Delete the account in Mail and then set it up again. Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Accounts   Tap on the Account, then on the red button that says Remove Account.

  • IOS8 mail crashing on iPad Mini

I give up.  Upgraded my iPad Mini to iOS8 (8.0.2).  First thing I noticed the Mail App crashing.  I have reset it to factory default and restored from backup image.  Problem is persistent.  Fine after a reboot but soon after the problem resurfaces.  Come on Apple get your **** act together and release another update to correct the problems, as this is not the only one.  Of course, you can take us all back before iOS8 and explain to the Street how your developers screwed up.

Please tell me that it has NEVER been jailbroke.  If it has not been jailbroke, here are some standard repair procedures:
First, try a system reset.  It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo.  Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears.  You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore.  Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset.  It could take well over an hour!  Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync.  From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab.  Follow the on-screen directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup.  You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod.  Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod.  As before, say "yes."  Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time.  If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device.  Corrective action is simple -  choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore (or it doesn't help), go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here.  You WILL lose all of your data (game scores, etc,) but, for the most part, you can redownload apps and music without being charged again.  Also, if you have IOS-7, read this.

I have a mini iPad and the screen has frozen.  It won't let me turn it off or use any function.  It has a message advising that it has not backed up to the cloud for 2weeks but when I put on charge and click ok nothing happens?  Please help.....

Press the home button and lock button simultaneously until the iPad restarts.

  • Mail settings on iPad Mini w/ IOS7

Before migrating to IOS7, under System Settings....for Mail....there was an option to limit the number of mail items downloaded.  I do not see that anymore.
It looks like messages are not being downloaded to the device, but that you are accessing them via the particular web server.  When deleting items, you are deleting them from the web-based mail provider.....not from the iPad itself.  Am I mistaken?
Big difference between deleting a mail message from the iPad (knowing there is a backup of it on the Web) and deleting the only copy of the mail message.  It certainly can be managed.....if one knows that this change has taken place.
Has anyone bumped into this yet?  Or am I missing something?  I have not seen this change listed anywhere.  If there is documentation, kindly point me in the right direction.
    Thanks.

I found the last time I reinstalled my hotmail info that it only synced new mails, it didn't go back to get older ones. Are those 20-30 ones you received recently or since setting up the hotmail on the iPad?

  • IPad Mini mail freezes

The mail on my iPad Mini has frozen 4 or 5 times since I upgraded to iOS 8.0.  On these occasions, I cannot open or edit mail.   Eventually, after a few minutes - an hour, the mail unfreezes.
    Please advise on the remedy.

    Does anyone have suggestions?
Is this another iOS 8.0.2 issue to be resolved by Apple?

  • IPad mini mail question

My home wifi is working and I can receive mail on my iPad mini but it will not send mail. It gives me a message that says an error occurred while delivering the message. Help?

No I wasn't talking about the email account you are using - I was talking about the email address you are trying to send to....are you having the problem with all email addresses that you are sending to, or a specific one?
And have you tried to send an email to your own email address?
    If so, what happens then?

  • How to view sent mail on iPad mini?

I can find my sent mail on my iPad mini. Where is it?

Did you follow Chris's instructions? I think he nailed it.
In that pane where you see your email accounts - Tap on Comcast - Under the Accounts heading which is below the list of InBoxes. That will take you to another view where the pane should look like the screenshot.
