E-mail Generation
Hi
Can anybody suggest me.
Is there a posibility of generating email to external mail id immediately after creating the notification or work order. I'm using 4.6c version, Client requirement is to generate the e-mail once the work order or notification is created as they are doing for other modules. I dont want to use the workflow.
Basis consultant has done all the settings for sending mails from applications.
Can anybody show me the settings that need to be done from PM module so as to generate e-mail to external server.

If you dont want to use workflows, then follow these steps.
On create Notification/Order Page ->
Goto-> Partners (Ctrl+F1)
Select the Function & Partner
(In case of User, mail-id should be maintained in SU01)
Then, Select the function & Click "Send Message"(Ctrl+F1).
Go Back & save your notif/order & Check your mail.
But these steps you have to follow for every notification/order.
It might solve your problem.
Else use User-Exits.

he want this mail should come to the mail id of his colleague.

Dynamic actions settings to mail generation
Hi
The actions are set for mali generation ,when ever personnel action happen.while testing the mail generation some actions are fine which are set in dynamic actions with out action for reasons.but some of actions are not working which are mentioned action for reason.
one case i set dynamic actions for hiring action with mentioning action reason.that time it will entered in to programing and generating mail.
but in another case i have 3-4 reason for actions that time the program will considering only action type ,its not entering into program considering action for reason.
can any body give me brief advise how to set dynamic action while action having the action reasons.

You can configure feature M0001 (Add MASSN/MASSG as your decision operation) and you can call this feature in the dynamic action table T588Z

P.O auto mail generation pdf to word
Hi everyone,
this is regarding the automatic mail generation in smartforms. Its like when you process the smartforms the mails are automatically shooted to the address maintained for eg usually to the vendors. So what I need is incase I proces my smartforms the mail shouldnt be in the pdf format but in normal text format.
I dont want to take that pdf convert to word/text by external sofware and attch it to the mail. I want it to be automatic.
Plz suggest the possible ways of doing it. Thanks to all in advance.

Problem with the mail generation for the CCMS alert
HI ,
I have created CCMS alert for the RFCdestination in the system and is working fine, and now i would like to configure mail for the same alert for that i have did the following
1.copied the method CCMS_ONALERT_EMAIL_v2 in RZ21 and created the new method .
2. And then assigned the same in the CCMS alert in the autoreaction tab.
But still iam unable to generate mails.Mail configutation is ok and am able send mails to external addresses.
Can any one please let me know if iam missing anything and guide me .

It can be catered with the exception messages sent to the MRP controller.
Else , its a work flow scenario. In standard there is no such scenario mentioned for such a task. But you have to create customized events for this case.
Events are created to report status changes for an application object and to allow a reaction to the changes.
Better take help of a work flow consultant. -
Mail Generation during Reminder date
Hi SAP guru,
This is my requirement, I have maintained the 0041-Date specification and 0019 monitoring of task infotype, As per the dynamic action for 0019 - monitoring of task infotype, the reminder date should check with system date if both are same it should trigger the mailing activities, where it suppose to shoot up mail as per standard text for mail connection.
where i have given the dynamic action coding:
0019 01 06 1 "SEND MAIL TO REMIND DATE"
0019 01 06 2 P P0019-MNDAT>SYDATUM
0019 01 06 3 P P0001-SACHP='001'

where as mailing feature which i configure is ok.
Now i had a problem of whenever i created the monitoring of task the reminder date is lesser or higher or even equal it is triggering mail of m0019, where it should not happen, it suppose to generate mail only when reminder date and system date are equal.
Guru some where in dynamic action coding i did a mistake, can any one throw a light on this.

Follow the steps for notification creation IW21:
1. Goto SPRO
IMG-PMCS-Maintenance and Service Processing-Maintenance and Service Notifications-Notification Processing-Set wrokflow for Maintenance Notifications.
click on Assign Agents it takes to a new screen, der open Process Sample maintenance notification select PMtask: Edit newly-created notification den click on create agent assignment (press F5) on the top left corner of the screen. it pos up a new window select user and mention the concerned user there.
Come back from that screen, click on Activate Event Linking open WS20000317 for task BUS2038 CREATED click on the details button and tick both the options Event Linkage activated and Enable usage of event que press enter, then you can observe the Green indicator Activated.
Now create a Notification, it will trigger a mail in SAP to the user u assigned. That user can check SAP mail box (T code SBWP, Inbox - workflow).
2. You can follow the same setting for maintenance orders creation too.
IMG-PMCS-Maintenance and Service Processing-Maintenance and Service Orders-Functions for order types-set work flow for orders.
open PM-PM-WOC-Maintenance orders, follow the same settings that of notifications.

2. Maintain the text to be generated in transaction SO10.
3. Generate the mail using the respective Feature M0001.
4. Maintain various attributes for the feature like text id, receiver 1,2,3.

Encoding conversion in Mail adapter
Hi,
we have a problem with the Mail adapter...
We try to send an email out of the XI to some service providers. The outgoing data is stored in an XML structure. This structure agrees with the conventions of the Mail Package format, which is used for dynamic Mail generation. The content of this Mail Package structure is a semicolon separated string, which should be attached as a CSV-File to the outgoing email. Up to this everything works fine. We get the email with the attachement out of the system, send it to a SMTP server and transfer it to a previous defined email address.
But when we open the attachement (with Wordpad, Excel,...) all german umlaut have been lost. The problem is, when transfering the Mail Package content into a File, this File is UTF-8 encoded.
Can anyone give us a hint how to convert the encoding of the attached file from UTF-8 to ISO-8859-1 (Latin-1)?

We handled the similar requirement in our project.
To convert the target file encoding UTF-8 to ISO-8859-1. For this i have used XSLT mapping, by changing the output encoding as shown in the code.
